How big or how much is a standard Terra Regia purchase?

How come it takes 5 lateris for a mundane melee weapon and only 10 lateris for a personal glider? It makes it kinda hard to imagine how much each purchase is.

It varies.

To avoid penalizing people using bigger weapons or reward people using smaller ones -- despite the fact that weapon size gives little to no benefit or disadvantage -- crafting items takes a set amount of terra regia. This is more a cost-equalizing factor, though.

So, while the weight or volume of terra regia isn't defined, the value/cost of each unit of terra regia remains constant.

In-character, you would never say, "I need five units of terra regia lateris," but would instead say, "I need two kilograms of lateris," if you specified measurements at all.
