HOUSE PIERCE

Noble House of Further Rukongai
Noble House of the 31st District of West Rukongai

Recommendation from Amaterasu Nana of House Amaterasu.
Adelaide rescued a tea shop in the Second District from a crazy person. She also has served House Amaterasu faithfully thusfar. She is one of the Gotei's most gifted kidouists (link coming soon), and has ascended to the rank of Vice-Captain of the Tenth Division. Her efforts as President of the Shinigami Women's Association have been noteworthy both for troop morale and for the image of the Gotei to the public and her grace under fire is exemplified by her rescue of twelve of the Central Forty-six Wise Men during the attack of Raifuku. In recognition of these efforts, the Matriarch of House Amaterasu has granted Adelaide Pierce land in the 31st District of Western Rukongai (pending).

Titular Head: Adelaide Pierce
Heirs: Presently none
Family Members: Brooke Ainsley-Pierce

Patron House: Amaterasu
Vassal House: None
Rival House: None

Also, since I'm here:

Number Desired:
Twelve

Name:Shirohi Emi
Gender: Female
Voice type: Alto, like a stern mother-figure. Kind in a somewhat harsh way.
Appearance: Twelve, behind the screen, is a woman with long dark brown hair streaked with silver from her ever-increasing age. She wears small glasses perched near the tip of her nose which frame eyes of an unsettlingly bright blue. She is somewhat wrinkled, lines of stress streking her face.

Brief History: Shirohi Emi managed to endear herself to several noble houses despite her relatively humble beginnings. Emi was gifted at convincing people to do things and helped maintain order for some lesser nobility on Soul Society's north side. Emi was also openly skeptical of the intentions of the Gotei, and was passionate in her advocacy of placing limitations following the Mask War. While this did not earn her friends in certain houses (particularly Faust), it did garner enough respect for her to secure a seat among the Central Forty-Six.

Family (if nobility): None, though shown occasional favor by Kikuchi.

House Uchiharu of Further Rukongai

Noble House of 21st Southern Rukongai District

Nobility bestowed upon Uchiharu, Ebisu from the first matriarch of Amaterasu, and reclaimed by Uchiharu, Haresuno from Amaterasu, Nana after centuries of waiting.

On a chance encounter at the shinigami academy, Amaterasu met Ebisu. That one meeting bound the two by fate, leading Ebisu to gather a collection of dedicated individuals who wanted to better all of Soul Society. Originally meant as a phrase to rally behind “Uchiharu” or “To Repel What Bars” became more to the small group, and in the end they identified themselves by it. For their hard work and dedication, with the leadership of Ebisu and the guidance of Amaterasu, the Uchiharu were rewarded by becoming a vassal to Amaterasu. This didn’t last long, however, as the day of the paperwork was finalized Ebisu was killed. In her grief of losing a dear friend, and by way of not knowing all of those within Uchiharu, Amaterasu could not find someone to replace Ebisu.

For over 500 years, the Uchiharu lived as peasants without the knowledge that they were nobles. Only the phrase “Knock the Arrow” left to them as a motto, reminder, and call to action.

One of the Uchiharu was Asuna Shuhirameki (known as Asuna Uchiharu in 68th and 69th Rukongai). She is the woman responsible for raising Haresuno until he left for Seireitei where he joined the Gotei and eventually became the captain of the Fifth Division. Aside from the short time it took him to rise to captain Haresuno befriended Amaterasu, Nana by chance. It was Nana who eventually found the connection, and with Haresuno’s confirmed connection to Asuna restored the Uchiharu to their proper position.

Other noteworthy successes for Haresuno, starting with most recent: the defeat of two powerful hollows, one of which was known as Ulchalothe (an S-ranked hollow) which only a few have survived; surviving a confrontation with the vasto lorde Prometheus with only one casualty and the successful return of numerous powerful shinigami; a rapid rise in both power and rank under the guidance of Inuzuri, Sayis (now currently the Fourth Soutaichou).

Patriarch: Uchiharu, Haresuno
Members: Iida (spouse), Ayumu (son/youngest child), Hana (daughter/eldest child)
Patron House: Amaterasu
Vassal House: None
Rival House: None

OK since I’m in the mood to write Feng, and his house had never been approved because I tried to get noble stuff and dips was flickering... Let’s try this shall we? These guys were already written as landed so we’ll see how this goes I've made a lot of efforts to keep their stuff similar but in line with the rules. Please let me know if I messed up something.

House Fu of Further Rukongai

Territory: Southern 22nd District

Symbol: Three spiders on green, two in the upper left inlaid in gold bearing an ornate F upon their backs, the third is in bottom right corner crimson inscribed with a Y.

History:

It is said the members of House Fu are taught how to maneuver in the nobel circles from the cradle. Where many nobles play their earnings from their land, House Fu’s modest holdings generate little income on their own. Instead the two individuals obtain their finance through their information networks. Many a noble spends much time worrying about what even the simplest gesture from another nobel implies, House Fu uses this suspicion to comfortably finance themselves. They read every movement, from flick of the wrist to twitch of an eye, and their agents are known to be able to pry information from even the most prudish of individuals. Most houses do not come close to trusting the Fu for fear of what information might have been garnered on them, however their usefulness is almost universally acknowledged.

Important is that the head of House Fu always has three siblings, the last of which is officially exiled from the family at the age of 16 and takes the surname Yin. This last individual, while publicly distanced, plays an important role for his kin. Long ago House Fu understood that the workings of the nobles often meant that work must be done that would be unseemly from a public figure. Though men with talent could be bought, failure leads to finger pointing by the man paid. Worse still is the trail of money that could find its way back into Fu hands. In such a case the individual bearing the name Yin is called to fix whatever problem is plaguing the family. Officially, the Yin is given a hefty stipend and called to keep record of the family’s holdings by balancing the books. In such a case as the Yin fails and is caught, the order is to claim he was attempting to gain better station within his family in hopes of being more than an accountant.

Titular Head: Jianyu Fu
Heirs: Tung and Bang Fu (Sons), Rashima Fu (Sister)
Vassal Houses: House Yin
Members: Feng Yin

House Pierce – Approved as Prominent House

Number Twelve – Denied (Resubmit)
I read Through the Eyes and was more impressed with her in this collab than the brief history you provided. The hints of her being at odds with the rest of the Central Forty-Six added the correct level of depth expected in Central Forty-Six applicants. Please elaborate more on her history and include more specific details on who and how she received her seat.

Also, could you explain how she has favor by the Kikuchi family when she is not part of a noble family herself? The Four Noble Houses of Seireitei rarely interact with non-nobles, and even then it’s pretty much only with the Gotei or other organizations.

Besides those two things, the rest of the app looks fine.

Additionally, note to all for future reference. If you have writing for the applicant house/C46 member, please include the links to that writing.

House Uchiharu - Approved as Prominent House

House Fu – Approved as Prominent House

Next Steps

Upon receiving Prominent House status, the house awaits confirmation from the Central Forty-Six, who will now review the applicants for nobility in an IG thread. This thread will begin on March 31st and only those approved writers of C46 members can participate. If you have a noble house up for review, you cannot be involved with this approval collab.

Please do not add your family to Noble sub-forum until this collab is completed and your family is confirmed.

Note to those involved in C46 thread:
This thread starts on March 31st and will be concluded no later than April 13th @ 11:59:59 PM EDT. If you foresee issues with your involvement, do not post or ask to be involved this review cycle. Thank you!

Number Desired: Twelve

Appearance: Twelve, behind the screen, is a woman with long dark brown hair streaked with silver from her ever-increasing age. She wears small glasses perched near the tip of her nose which frame eyes of an unstintingly bright blue. She is somewhat wrinkled, lines of stress streaking her face.

Brief History: Shirohi Emi was able to get things done for some of the lesser nobles in North Rukongai. She was able to quell instability and help with maintenance of areas that lesser nobility lacked the resources to maintain. When the Mask War came and went, Emi became a vocal opponent of the unchecked Gotei and began to call in markers from the lesser nobles who owed her while publicly speaking out against the Gotei. This earned her some enemies in Faust, which in turn earned her friends elsewhere, including many of House Faust's enemies. Some of the people who made and effort to bring her into the Central Forty-Six did so to prevent her from speaking against the government as she did against the military, others agreed with her views, but a large portion made sure to bring her into the government in order to slight House Faust in the aftermath of the Mask War. She's never particularly cared about the less-than-pure reasons she got behind the Twelfth paper screen, nor about her fellow Wise Men and Women, instead she cares about keeping the political clout to advance her cause; the limitation of use of force by the Gotei.

Family (if nobility): None, though shown occasional favor by lesser nobles of Northern Rukongai for the political favor she was able to help them garner.

Number Desired: 39, pretty please with a cherry on top? :3 (although, I'm more than willing to settle for a lower number.)

Name: Amaterasu Michiko

Gender: Female

Voice Type: Soft-spoken, but with an undeniably sharp edge accompanying it.

Appearance:

Brief History: After a falling out with her father about five hundred or so years prior to current events, Amaterasu Michiko decided to leave the main house to live at one of the branch houses and dedicate her life to politics after having enjoyed a career as a gifted duelist. Never quite making it to the top of the rung as someone who could be eligible for the Shourenjutsuin and subsequently the Goteijuusantai, Michiko always knew that despite her great interest in blades and the forging thereof, she could make better use of her intelligence and status trying to do what she feels is right for the people of Soul Society.

Having documented and rewriting over a thousand governmental works, ranging from menial reports, to entire book works, the blue-eyed woman has an extensive knowledge of the feudal system of Soul Society including the majority of its history.

When her sister, Nana, became Matriarch of House Amaterasu of Western Seireitei, she slowly, but surely returned to living at the main house again and, together with her sister, she set off to unravel the many mysteries of Soul Society as well as document and chronicle anything the Central Forty-Six might want to know about. She is noted to have set up, and drastically improve the financial welfare of the districts that House Amaterasu had eyes and ears in, creating a vast network of trade routes between various districts as well as improving overall life within these few districts.

Though very much pro-Central Forty-Six, Michiko seems to have a personality akin to her sister in that she does not take kindly to half-truths and people who wrong her deeply.

Number Desired: Twenty-Two.
Name: Theophilus Metzer
Gender: Male
Voice Type: Gruff and unwavering and also somewhat hoarse from years of smoking.

Appearance:
Theophilus Metzer is a dominating figure, standing a massive six feet, ten inches. His hair a pure white and short. His hairline is slightly receding a testament to his age. He has a well kept beard, creating an imposing combination with his start blue-eyes. Even for his age his build is still full of life and rather imposing.

Brief History:
A direct descendent of the former House of Metzer-Frey, Theophilus was groomed from childhood to take the mantle of the family’s representative in the Central Forty-Six. He was taught the ways of politics by his father, who in turn had learned it from his father above. As such, he gained a reputation as a shrewd politician and a terrifying power.

He has been a member of the Central Forty-Six for centuries, personally viewing the tumultuous changes that have occurred. He viewed the rise and fall of the Mask War, Faust’s folly into Hueco Mundo, the deaths of former Captain Commanders and the instatement of the current.

With the fall of Metzer-Frey, he initially struggled to keep his family aloft, as most of their family industry left with the Frey’s. However, transforming his family’s business into one of wide-scale financial brokerage, he returned them to power. The paragon of the newly created House of Metzer, Theophilus has taken control as the patriarch of the family.

HOUSE PIERCE
Noble House of Nearer Rukongai
Noble House of the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] District of West Rukongai

Adelaide
rescued a tea shop in the Second District from a crazy person. She also has served House Amaterasu, and earned the favor of House Frey. She is one of the Gotei's most gifted kidouists, having such a natural aptitude for the art that she was scouted out by the Kidoushuu during her Academy years. She has ascended to the rank of Vice-Captain of the Tenth Division. Her efforts as President of the Shinigami Women's Association have been noteworthy both for troop morale and for the image of the Gotei to the public and her grace under fire is exemplified by her rescue of twelve of the Central Forty-six Wise Men during the attack of Raifuku. In recent months she has driven back Prometheus, defeated three of his Scions (Katsuji Ishin, Azra'eal, and Metanoia), and been named Interim Captain of the Tenth Division in Lilith Maikeru's place following a meeting of the powers of Seireitei. Adelaide was offered a path to Nobility by Amaterasu Nana but elected to serve a district she loved rather than one given her by House Amaterasu. The Mystic's military career, especially of late, has garnered significant notoriety and she has an extreme popularity in the West Second, already acting with philanthropy befitting a noble. Her ties to Central Forty-six Wise Men, a newly-appointed Judge and a litany of other nobles seem to make up for the small size of her House, which promises to be the seed of something valuable in the long-term view of West Rukongai.

Number Desired: 11

Name: Jianyu Fu

Gender: Male

Voice type: Slow, each word is chosen extremely carefully, aside from his slow speech his tone is usually monotonous.

Appearance: A spitting image of his younger brother, or at least he should. Jianyu is extremely toned and keeps a slightly golden hue to his skin. He stands at 5’8” in height with short black hair that is usually meticulously combed. His piercing green eyes often have a habit of making those he speaks uncomfortable.

Brief History: Born into House Fu when it was little more than a small time spying operation with a noble title to back it, Jianyu was responsible for legitimising the family. Using his siblings to rachet pressure in Southern Rukongai, he was able to form a coalition of merchant families and artisans which now look to House Fu for protection and patronage.

Jianyu is a man full of regrets. Where his brother is amoral and seeking results out of duty, and his sister seeking only pleasure in manipulation, the leader of House Fu blames himself for his sibling’s behavior. This leads to the often reserved and gloomy side of the man who believes he caused his siblings no small source of pain. Despite this, he is an idealist at heart, a fact which leads many to cast further suspicion on him due to his familial ties. In truth he seeks only stability and growth for his family and has a genuine desire to do the right thing.

Everything past District 50 is basically non-existent noble plot. You can have land there, but it, quite literally, means jackshit. You won't even be recognized as a noble house at all there, and people can just as easily say they also have a house in the same district.

Further Rukongai goes to District 50 and no further.

The Inryoku family gained notoriety primarily through its frequent lending of Zanjutsu instructors to the Shin'ou Shinigami Academy. Tradition has held the family - which emphasizes strong technique over raw power - in its standing without fail, allowing small measures of influence.

House Inryoku's affairs frequently remain out of prying eye's, and are seen to be left alone for their lack of notable members amongst the populace. Content to be seen as stalwart instructors and to produce reliable practitioners of the Art of the Sword, the house allows its influence to be stymied in favour of accepting temporary patronage for instructors to be lent to other families.

-The Miyazaki family was known for its charity and kindness throughout Rukon when it was in strength. It served as a central of learning and shelter for the civvilians of the area, providing education in the arts both fine, and mechanical.
Kiske was a active member of the ninth division at the time, and held many workshops on archetecture. This improved the general welfare of the area while he was head, and during this time Hikaru was adopted into the family.

-However a short thirty years afterward the Miyazaki head went missing in action, and Yoko took lead.

-Not a year after the house was completly and utterly destroyed by a fire hollow breaching the weak walls surrounding the district, the lone survivor of the destruction was the Miyazaki family's adopted son. Four hundred years passed by before his return to the seireitei, and the kindness of the Miyazaki's slowly faded into memory and folk stories.

Raph:

Your Noble house is approved. Apologies for the delay.

Minj:

Okay. Based solely on what you've written down here and your PC's accomplishments, I'm going to have to send you back to the drawing board for this one, Minj. There's just not a single piece within what you've written up that makes it feasible for your noble house to exist. I like you eagerness, and your interest in noble houses, but I need more to work with.

A noble house that was massacred and burned down save for an adopted son, has no grounds for existance. Especially this far into Rukon, the land would've been distributed tens of years ago. Plus, as an adopted son, your character has no legitimate claim as heir of the family, and its land.

That said, if you still want to work with a noble house, hit me up with a PM - or google doc, you can get my email adress by sending me a PM asking for it - and we can maybe work something out. For now, though, it's denied.
