Profile Information

Saiga Senryunose
tek070223493b91vl0.png

Age:
(At Death): 21
(Appearance): 18
(Years spent in SS): 66

Persona: Saiga is the essence of "complex" and suffers from severe Multiple Personality Disorder. Outside of battle, he is a very charismatic and charming person. He loves to laugh and converse with his friends and can be exceedingly modest, although he is rather uptight around officials. He tends to be very proper and finicky about his appearances. The poor shinigami also happens to be very accident prone, and ill-fortuned. When threatened or provoked, Saiga has been known to switch to a much darker nature. He even adopts a new name in this personality, Seiga, representative of this switch. Seiga gets increasingly arrogant and unruly and becomes horribly unstable during missions. Seiga conveys maliciousness during battle often torturing his opponents and even turning on friends he feels are in the way. Saiga's personality has been compared to that of a cat, which may be just, due to his obsessive fascination with cats.

Hits- Cats, Black, Moon, Raving

Miss- Hollows, Turkeys, Sidewalks

Physical Stature: Saiga stands at roughly 6'0. He sports long, thick and rigid, black spikes that run down his face just to his mouth, with unruly hair in the back representative of his persona. He has a fair complexion comparable to that of a light tan and thin black eyebrows. His eyes are a deep dark grey that convey a sense of tranquility, no matter the scenario. He also has a tattoo that extends from his right hand to his back and cape of the neck in the form of a black beast. However, this is hidden by the black wraps he wears over his arms. When outside of battle, Saiga wears the traditional shinigami attire with the top tightly closed and fitted to his physique. During battle however, he exposes his chest and wears the top half similar to how one would wear a open button up shirt. He has no facial scars although many scars can be seen on the entirety of his body, many of which are self-inflicted.

Division: 10th Division (4th Seat)

Biography: Raised on the traditional and rural Japanese country side, Saiga had a relatively stable life before his death, enjoying a peaceful existence with his younger sister Misa. He worked long hours gathering and harvesting crops grown on their poor, humble farm. After being orphaned at a young age due to a heart disease that killed his father and his mother dying from birth complications, Saiga was left all alone to raise his younger sister Misa.

With the death of his father, Saiga was left with many debts to the local government. In order to insure his sister's well-being, he often traveled to town in search of odd jobs during the winter months. One day, after returning home from a recently completed job, Saiga opened the door to the horror set before him. His sister lay dead on the floor. His already fragile mind was thus shattered and began his split into two personas. Seconds later however, Saiga was also struck down by some inhumane presence. Before fading away into death, he sees the lone figure of a mysterious man in black dresswear.

Saiga spends his next years as a spirit in the 69th sector of Rukongai. After sixty years have passed, Saiga sees the man from his last day on Earth. He follows this man to the Academy in search of answers to his existence and the whereabouts of his sister.

Kidou

~Hadou~
Ice Water - Hadou #16, 115 Kidou

Description: The user of the spell gathers water into their palm into it shapes into a perfect sphere. The sphere is then shot out by the user, violently hitting the target and freezing over on impact.

Incantation: Frosty breath of the water serpent brush over my foe. Crack the flesh and chill the bone. Hadou #16, Ice Water
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Lunar Rain - Hadou #60, 1200 Kidou

Description: A specialized kidou, only usuable in areas of dense moonlight. The caster of this kidou raises both arms above his/her head towards the moon. After saying the incantation, the user must allow for 3 seconds regardless of strength in order for their reiatsu to merge with the surrounding moonlight. Once prepared, the user must quickly bring their hands down as if releasing an object upon the ground. Instantaneously, a shower of moonlight will ensue, raining down dense quantities of reiatsu. The droplets of light remain intangible at first until impact with an object, where they will then cause a forceful frozen blast.

Note: As long as the opponent is not caught in the moonlight, they will be difficult to hit. May be prove useful in areas of little cover. Also, the caster will not be allowed to move as longer as the spell is active, or the effect will be broken and the rains will cease. Rains can last for as long as 1 turn, yet there is a maximum of 3 if the user is able to maintain the continuous flow of reiatsu.

Range: Lunar Rain has a range of 30 meters surrounding the caster.

Incantation: "The goddess weeps, hatred fuels her cold fury. Lone tears flood the land. A child's fate, the death of an innocent, a cry for mercy. May her wrath storm in the heavens! Hadou #60, Lunar Rain!"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Flash Freeze - Hadou #67, 1900 Kidou

Description: The user forms a large sphere of water over their head by gathering all the precipitation in the area. The water in turned into a large raindrop, one that drops down and forms the area with a giant wave of water and washes away the area in a giant tidal wave. The water then slowly but surely starts to freeze over, dropping the area to the negative degrees and turning it into an ice field.

Incantation: Spirits of water and ice rage and wrath. Wash upon my foes your furious breath and chill away their hot-blooded spirit. Hadou #67, Flash Freeze!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

~Bakudou~
Gesshoku "Moonlight" - Bakudou #51, 610 Kidou

Description: Gesshoku works in the same way Hinome does. The user meshes the energy of moonlight with their own reiatsu to create strips of binding that concentrate around a certain area of an opponent (e.g., the arms or legs) and once set in place, will cause 10% burns on the area binded. The binding itself is instantaneous, but the duration and strength of the spell is dependent on the difference in sp between the caster and opponent. At equal strength, the spell can last for 15-20 seconds.

The difference, however, is Gesshoku uses 'cold heat' to burn within the bindings. Unlike a flame-based burn which merely sears and kills cells, Gesshoku does the same while chilling the life processes of surrounding cells, which means (A) it's harder for the burned area to heal on its own; and (B) it's harder to use a healing ability on it effectively.

While the spell can be cast anywhere, if used an area of high moonlight, the burn will increase to 15-20% (depending on sp difference).

To cast this, the user holds one palm up toward the source of moonlight while aiming the other toward their opponent. The bindings will come forth from the latter.

Incantation: "Called down from the heavens above, drawing strength from the spirit of a goddess, bind and cool my foe to protect me, a child of the moon... Bakudou #41, Gesshoku."
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Suho - "Perfume of the Moon" Bakudou #62, 890 Kidou

This Bakudou may only be used in the presence of moonlight. While being cast, ribbons of floating sigils entwine the user's casting arm, which instantly disperse toward the moon's direction when the casting is complete. Once Suho is active, targets selected by the user are automatically struck down and harshly restrained towards the ground or against any obstructing object, so long as they are hit by a pillar of xenon moonlight that beams down from whence the sigils vanished. The angle at which they are struck down and which the moonlight pillar descends is determined by which direction the moon is facing. If the moon is directly above them, then they will be restrained to the ground immediately. However, if the moon faces them at an acute angle, the targets would be "dragged" into the ground by a few meters before being fully restrained.

The user may select as many targets as he/she wishes, so long as the pillar of moonlight is being cast upon their bodies. The strength of the spell wanes as according to the current phase of the moon: a full moon possesses the highest degree of restraint, while a thin, crescent moon provides the least amount of power. The width of the moonlight pillar spans one meter for every 500 Kidou for a maximum of ten meters (reached at 5,000 Kidou). The duration of restraint is relative to the user's Kidou vs. the target(s) Reiatsu stat; against those of equal strength, Suho lasts for thirty to forty-five seconds. The moonlight pillar itself, if it is unable to strike down upon a target, lasts approximately half a minute before vanishing.

Incantation: "The pearl dragon flees from the west. Ten thousand grasses rebuke the stars. A bloody lance pierces the slumbering moon in the holy lake; sweet is the perfume unleashed! Bakudou #62, Suho!"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

~Bougyoudo~
Goddess' Moon - Bougyoudo #69, 1500 Kidou

Description: A special kidou designed for those with affiliation towards the moon. The user entends one palm above their head, calling out the incantation. A rather large, white sphere of reiatsu will gather just at their finger tips before dispersing rapidly towards the sky. Once the sphere reaches an altitude of 300 ft or so, it will expand violently before finally exploding, casting the land in a sort of false moonlight. The spell itself is intangible, consisting only of light.

Effect: This moonlight can be used for Lunar based spells that require the moon, acting as a sort of false moon. The particles of reiatsu contain similar properties to that of true moonlight, though since these particles have a higher concentration of spirit energy, they will actually act to boost the user's Lunar spells. Lunar spells may recieve a boost anywhere between 10-15% increased strength and casting cost reduction depending on the user's reiatsu. Higher level shinigami can also boost the duration of Lunar spells by as much as 1.5 the normal duration. The false moonlight will last for 3 turns as a standard base, yet will increase in duration by 1 turn for every 300 reiatsu the user possesses over 3,000 for a maximum for 9 turns. (Note: If false moon is cast in sunlight, it will react violently, causing the light to deteriorate, rendering it usless to the user. In case a moon is already present, this kidou will take priority of effect, negating the natural moonlight.)

Range: Goddess' Moon has a range of 30 meters surrounding the caster.

Incantation: "The goddess sheds a tear of sorrow. A moon is born, casting down its brilliance. I pray thee moon, bless the land with your light! Bougyoudo #60, Goddess' Moon!"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

~Chiyudo~
Gardeurange - Chiyudo #49, 485 Kidou

Covers an area of 50 ft radius around the user in a light but wet fog. The user and any ally inside of the fog will feel rejuvenated, and the effects of the fog causes them to feel little pain from already existent injuries, thus alleviating them of that agony. Does not allow the affected persons to act as berserkers who feel no pain at all, since all pain from injuries acquired after the initial casting will only be reduced, not removed. The fog is present for three minutes, and once it lifts, pain and tiredness will return to the affected persons. The feeling of rejuvenation within the fog causes the user and his allies to execute the art of shyunpo better, and during the duration of the spell affected persons will increase their hohou by 5%.

Incantation: "Cool dusk of morning, the dew falling from grass. Quench my thirst, the raw moist of life. Cup your hands and feel the cold streams, Chiyudo #35, Gardeurange."

Techniques

~Basic Techniques~

[ Fuojin ] -- "Untainted Blade" (Atk/-/-)
Untainted Blade is a skill that an anonymous blademaster learned by going through numerous battles. This skill requires full knowledge of the various Zanjutsu Techniques in order to receive the true mark of a master.

The user holds his blade with two hands as he starts to channel his Reiatsu into his blade. As the user's Reiatsu mixes in with his Zanpakutou, the blade will emit a dull light glow. The user will then compresses the energy and begins to motion for an attack.

Once the user swings his blade, all the gathered energy will then break from it. A vacuum will then be created at the path of the sword. This vacuum is like a blade of the wind. It is almost unseen due to the nature of it. It will take an experience fighter to notice the blade coming at him.

Fuojin will have an effective range of one meter from the user with a maximum range of two meters. The damage Fuojin can cause will vary due to the degree of the user (Zanjutsu stat). Each attack consumes 1% of the user's Reiatsu.

[Attained when 2,500 Zanjutsu and 2,000 Hohou are reached. At least two other Zanjutsu Techniques must have already been learnt beforehand.]
[ Kandan ] - "Pause" (Aur/Syn/-)
Fights between two masters of the sword have long been upgraded by several levels since the introduction of Reiryoku and Kidouryoku based Techniques, yet the basis to all of these implementations can still be traced back to the fundamental ideas of Kendo, Iaidou and Battoudou.

Kandan is a Technique which stems from either the Battoujutsu or the Iaijutsu, as it doesn't matter if the blade is sheathed after the execution (Iaijutsu) or not (Battoujutsu). It's a Technique which, while not giving the user any special offensive abilities, comes to heighten the chances of the impact; Kandan is a deceptive Technique, designed to confuse the enemy and open a chance for a successful strike not by coming before the foe had a chance to create a decent defense, but after the said defense is no longer effective.

Kandan was designed to be used mostly with Zanpakutou-based zangeki attacks; with sufficient levels of mastery of Reiatsu manipulation and a bond strong enough with one's blade, the user sends the zangeki at the enemy but commands the wave of energy to halt in its tracks a split second before impact; obviously, this forceful stop can't sustain itself for longer then a fraction of a second, but that is exactly the time frame needed for Kandan.

The foe will be lead the believe the attack is still coming at him, and so will unleash his defense sooner that its needed and will most likely create an opening for the attack to now really hit him.

While a preliminary requirement for the use of Kandan is to have a zangeki Zanpakutou ability, if no such ability is available then Kandan itself also becomes the attack, referred to as Ginpa ("Silver Wave" ), the user will be able to send out a wave of Reiatsu at his foes, though it can only travel a distance of a few feet and the usage is even more limited then that of Zanpakutou abilities, only once per fight.

[Attained when 7,000 Reiatsu and 4,000 Zanjutsu are reached. Ginpa is attained at 8,000 Reiatsu only if a zangeki is not available.]
[ Sakuganki ] -- "Rock Drill" (Atk/-/-)
A sword Technique that utilizes advanced Reiatsu control to repeatedly anchor the tip of a sword onto a target point. Repeated withdrawals of the blade away from the target, and the subsequent attraction of the blade's tip towards it creates a series of thrusting attacks that, with sufficient skill, can create a drill-like force that can punch through a target, or burrow through various obstructions.

[Attained when 2,000 Zanjutsu is reached. For every 1,500 Zanjutsu, one usage of this Technique is gained. For every 750 Zanjutsu, one thrust is gained.]
[ Shippuu ] -- "Gale" (Atk/-/-)
A sword Technique which, with the force of a torrential gale, the user concentrates the essence of his or her Reiatsu into his or her arms and weapon, and proceeds to execute a swift flurry of cutting strokes against the target. These wild strikes allow for a large number of attacks to be dished out in as little time as possible. While this makes it difficult for the enemy to dodge and/or defend, because of the wild nature of the attack, Shippuu is not in itself an accurate attack, but rather makes use of its 'size' to land hits on the opponent.

[Attained when 4,000 Zanjutsu is reached.]
*** [ Shirei Hatsuri ] -- "Command Bypass" (Aur/-/-)
After achieving Ban Kai, the release phrase for Shikai is no longer necessary. This Technique allows the user to simply release his or her Shikai instantaneously through a higher bond achieved with his/her Zanpaku.

When initially learned, Shirei Hatsuri may be equipped without occupying a Tech Allocation slot (but it still occupies a Tech List slot). After 20,000 Connection is attained, Shirei Hatsuri is fully invisible, but when the Shikai command phrase is bypassed, the Reiatsu bonus from Shikai is reduced by half. After 30,000 Connection is attained, this penalty will no longer apply.

[Attained when Ban Kai is acquired.]

~Division Techniques~

** [ Seitenshi ] -- "Celestial Elements" (Aur/Syn/-)
When one develops a particular affinity for an element, often times, their Reiatsu begins to take on characteristics of that element. For example, one who is an ice user may have a very cold Reiatsu, while one who is affiliated with fire might have a scorching hot one. This Technique, particular to the Tenth Division, attempts to utilize this unique form of Reiatsu in such a way that it can be used to maximize the effectiveness and damage that one's attacks and elemental Kidou does.

With this Technique, one expends 3% of one's Reiatsu into the air surrounding them. By molding one's Reiatsu with that of the air, the properties of the area surrounding that person become much more favorable to using elemental attacks. For a water user, the humidity might skyrocket, but for a fire user, the humidity may decrease and the temperature might increase. Each person's Reiatsu and elemental skills are unique, and therefore the changes are unique based on the person. In addition, in instances where a Shinigami uses more then one element, their prominent element is the one to be favored.

This Technique affects roughly a twenty foot diameter around the user and lasts for five rounds. During these turns, the cost and strain of all Techniques and Kidou of that element are reduced by -15%, while the damage and effectiveness of these same skills are increased by 15%. After five rounds, the user may choose to extend the effect another three rounds by paying an additional 2% of his or her Reiatsu. If not, then in the sixth turn, the benefits are cut in half, and by the beginning of the seventh turn, the air will return to normal.
** [ Soujoukouka Souryuushi ] -- "Synergy Particle" (Def/-/-)
As a Shinigami with elemental powers, one should be able to control one's immediate surrounding areas and manipulate them freely, closely resembling the powers of a Quincy, but much more limited in terms of using the said power.

One who understands and uses Synergy Particle can use the surrounding area to one's advantage. During times of need for defense and protection, one can immediately summon a wall that envelops and protects him/her from an incoming attack. Naturally, one's fortification would be their power that they manifest: Reiatsu and their given element.

The interpretation of the elemental defense should be left up to the participating characters themselves.

In theory, this Technique should only be used at most twice for most users; one activation of this Technique should be sufficient enough to completely block the enemy's offensive for one turn before shattering. Once taking in the attack, the shield dissipates, so in other words, it only lasts for one turn.

The shield is susceptible to the user's elemental antithesis, in which it gets a reduced amount of defense, or worse, depending upon the strength of the incoming opposing elemental attack.

Each use of the Technique will consume 300 Reiatsu, and 300 added to that original cost thereafter; 300 for the first use, 600 for the second, 900 for the third, 1200 for the fourth, and so on.

Items

~Luna~

History: This item once belong to Saiga's beloved sister who has been missing since her death on Earth. He discovers this item during an encounter with a hollow while on a training misssion. Saiga holds this item dear to his heart because it is now the only thing he has to remember her by. More is to be revealed at a later date in the RPG in regards to its importance.

Desciption: Luna is a half-moon shaped, lustrous silver locket. The are many slight scracthes from its endevours before reaching Saiga. Saiga himself has never allowed this locket to be dropped or damaged in anyway. Inside, the name, Misa, is engraved.

Effect: This item automatically raises Saiga's zanjutsu as well as his Water/Ice and Lunar based kidou by 10% at the start of battle. However, this reduces his lightning and earth resistance by 10% as well as his fire attack strength by the same amount.

Zanpakutou

Zanpakutou: Saiga has a relatively long zanpakutou with the katana blade being precisely 36" with a hilt of 12". The hilt is black and wrapped with black bandaging for added effect and is slightly curved. There is also an added charm in the form of cat, attached to the end of the hilt. The blade itself is very clean and sturdy with no apparent ridges or notches. Saiga wears his blade on his left, inside his sash, suggesting he being right handed.
~Shikai~
Name: Mizuken (Water Sword)

Release: Fill the Sky with Sorrow, Mizuken!

Form: Mizuken's form change is that the sword itself becomes entirely black, as well as adding more curvature to the blade. Aside from that, its length and cat charm remain the same as well as its weight and thickness. Saiga's black wrappings, which he wears around his arms, are fused with the hilt of the sword, where they then spiral up his arm, ending in a curved, protruding black spike erecting itself from his shoulder. (Attained at 1,000 Connection)

Ability One: Lunar Blessing - is an automatic stat boost which raises Saiga's Zanjustu by 10%, by increasing the amount of reiatsu that flows around the blade, thus increasing the sharpness and total damage effect of the sword. The boost will also raise Saiga's Water/Ice and Lunar Based Kidou by 10%, by increasing the amount of humidity in the air and the absorption rate of moonlight. (Attained at 2,000 Connection)

Ability Two: Endless Wave - is Mizuken's main form of attack. With each slash, Mizuken releases proportional amounts of Saiga's reiatsu, 1% per slash, in the form of black water through its blade. The wave is merely meant to smack against the opponent and has no slicing effect, though the blade itself can still cut. The outflow of water thus floods the terrain, allowing for available water for kidou and other things related. However, the flooding causes Saiga's resistance to lightning based attacks to drop by 10% as well as reduces the strength of any fire based kidou he may possess by the same amount. (Attained at 3,000 Connection)

Ability Three: Eternal Haven - is the final ability of Mizuken and is meant only as a last resort. By expending great amounts of reiatsu, 3%, Saiga is able to manipulate the surrounding water in the area, into the form of a water-based barrier, lasting 1 turn. This barrier can protect against most attacks, namely fire attacks, but has an appropriate weakness to lightning. Lightning can reduce shielding to a 1/2 turn or even entirely negate its effect if used by a strong opponent. This shield is effective against attacks up to 1.5 times Saiga's reiatsu. (Attained at 4,000 Connection)
~Bankai~
Name: Kokūken (Black Rain Sword)

Release: Bankai! Rain, Kokūken!

Form: Through his countless encounters with death, and his rising insanity, Saiga has been able to fulfill Mizuken's lust for blood. He is now able to release her ultimate form, Kokūken. This release is very similar to how Saiga calls forth Mizuken. After thrusting his sword upwards, towards the sky, Mizuken then unravels herself from his arm. In a flash of light, she is sent rocketing into the clouds. At point of release, she remains solid and will actually damage anything in her path, yet once she reaches the clouds, she becomes intangible, fusing with the surrounding moisture. A great storm then ensues, darkening the sky above and causing a massive downpour of black rain for as long as the Bankai lasts. Saiga's physical appearance changes as well. His large, black spike elongates, growing even more curved and reaches near body length. A second spike is also erected on his right shoulder. A black, crescent moon forms just above his eyebrows, while his own eyes change from their cloudy grey appearance to a much more gothic shade of black. Two Black, tear-like markings run down from his darkened eyes giving him the image that he is crying. Since Saiga's wrapping were fused with Mizuken's hilt, he loses them for the time being, exposing his arm and black beast tattoo. Two black crucifix markings form on the back side of each his fist, one on each. Thus, his bankai is born, flooding the lands with black rain water. He can then mould the water to some extent forming shields and even a sword for his own defense. (Attained at 10,000 Connection)

Overall ability: Shikai Increase

Ability One: Lunar Blessing - is an automatic stat boost which raises Saiga's Zanjustu by 35%. The reiatsu from the rain, thus fuses into a sword of pure energy, causing massive damage with each strike as each hit releases a burst of reiatsu. The boost will also raise Saiga's Water/Ice and Lunar Based Kidou by 35%. Since the field is flooded in the black water, all Water and Ice Kidou already have a base for the spells to form, thus reducing their costs and strengthening them. The water is already made of pure reiatsu, so each blast will thusly be proportionally powerful. The reflective quality of the black rain magnifies light, increasing the strength of moonlight tenfold as it shines against the darkness, filling the air with its brilliance. (Attained at 10,000 Connection)

Ability Two: Endless Wave - is Kokūken's main form of attack. With each slash, Kokūken releases proportional amounts of Saiga's reiatsu, 1% per slash, in the form of black water through its blade. The wave is merely meant to smack against the opponent and has no slicing effect, though the blade itself can still cut. The outflow of water thus floods the terrain, allowing for available water for kidou and other things related. However, the flooding causes Saiga's resistance to lightning based attacks to drop by 20% as well as reduces the strength of any fire based kidou he may possess by the same amount. (Attained at 10,000 Connection)

Ability Three: Eternal Haven - is the final ability of Kokūken and is meant only as a last resort. By expending great amounts of reiatsu, 5%, Saiga is able to manipulate the surrounding water in the area, into the form of a water-based barrier, lasting 2 turns. This barrier can protect against most attacks, namely fire attacks, but has an appropriate weakness to lightning. Lightning can reduce shielding by 1 turn or even entirely negate its effect if used by a strong opponent. This shield is effective against attacks up to 1.5 times Saiga's reiatsu. (Attained at 10,000 Connection)
~Shinno Bankai~
Name: Kokūken: Kurotsukijuu (Black Moon Beast)

Form: This is Kokūken's next stage in its progression to perfection. Through his months of training, the death of his sister, and near brink of complete insanity while his alter ego slowly begins to corrode his mind, Saiga has achieved Shinno Bankai. After calling forth its name, The Black Moon Beast arises from its ethereal slumber. The rains continue to flood the land, while Saiga, now able to fully manipulate the water, begins to rave. The cross on each hand begins to pulse to a tempo as the water begins to swirl about, forming a dark torrent. This form is also the attack, as the beast flows around Saiga's body, controlled by his movement, biting and ramming his opponent. (Attained at 20,000 Connection)

Ability: Dark Moon's Embrace- As the beast flows to Saiga's movements, now completely synchronized with his heart and soul, it can be controlled to swirl around his body at god-like speed, creating a cyclone of rushing water to his defense. By expending 5% of his reiatsu, Saiga can defend against any attack, at most 1.5 times his reiatsu, for a maximum of 3 turns. The surge of black energy will absorb any shock sent within its field, and the spin will deflect the attack away from harm. Any opponent caught in this defense will also be violently ripped around before being released. To defend against strong lightning users, he must be at equal level with them, or his defenses may be penetrated. (Attained at 20,000 Connection)
~Kyousho Bankai~
Name: Kokūken: Tsuki no Namida (Tears of the Moon)

Form: This is Kokūken's final, and most powerful form. After his madness, the death of his sister, and the murder of his beloved, Seiga is now free from his imprisonment within Saiga's mind. The sadist, through his killings and gruesome training methods, has truly satisfied Mizuken's bloodlust. She is now able to reach her final form. After the beast has calmed, only the storm remains, the rains never ceasing. In one finalized assault, Kokūken lends its form to attack once again. Through rapid circular rave movements, Seiga is able to manipulate all of the dense water into one massive moon shaped orb. This orb contains the full entirety of reiatsu from Seiga's Bankai and deals extensive area damage once it hits. The ball may take several turns to form, ranging for 1-3 depending on the nature of Seiga's condition, and will remained form even if his concentration is broken. It takes on a certain mind of itself. Once the moon contacts its target, it will release all of its stored energy into one final attack, flooding the lands with a massive tidal wave of black moon tears. (Attained at 30,000 Connection)

Ability: Black Moon's Essence- is an automatic 45% stat boost to both Zanjustu and Water/Lunar based kidou. The Kidou boost is received after the moon's explosion and the lands have become flooded with pure reiatsu. The Zanjutsu boost, however, is receive once the moon is formed. The moon's attack power is based off of Seiga's Zanjutsu stat, thus when the sphere is completely maxed with reiatsu, its density will cause massive damage to the surrounding area, boosting Seiga's strength. (Attained at 30,000 Connection)

Manifestation

Manifestation: The spirit of his blade, Mizuken, resonates a calm, dark natured reiatsu being black in appearance. When speaking, she will usually voice only a few words, and never raises the level above a whisper. When summoned, Mizuken will take the form of a black jaguar. The jaguar has a sort of vague appearance, resembling a dark walking cloud as she slowly begins to evaporate. Two large spikes protrude from her massive back, slightly curving and continuing just beyond body length. A silver, crescent moon can be seen shining on her forehead in comparison with her pure silver, glaring eyes. Two silver, tear-like markings run down from these silver pools of light.

The moon is said to be the source of power for most water-type users, Saiga in particular. Saiga's zanpakutou, Mizuken, has always had an affinity for the moon. She tends to draw her strength from the moonlight, even causing boosts in Saiga's own Lunar Kidou. Once in released state, Mizuken's deep black surface has been seen absorbing the moon's dense rays. After the achievement of Bankai, her absorptive capabilities increase tenfold, giving the blade a slightly higher luster than most swords, often times giving off a faint silvery white glow. At one point, Mizuken becomes so saturated with this moonlight, she is even able to release the sword's energy into one near devastating attack. Upon the absorption of moonlight, Saiga can choose to sheath the sword once more, allowing for the stored energy to pool. With one quick successful draw, the released energy surges forth in the form of a large crescent wave of light, cutting deeply into all that it encounters. After the achievement of Shinno Bankai, Saiga is able to release the wave without having to sheath the blade first, however he sacrifices a bit of its power and must still allow for the absorption of moonlight.

[Each use consumes 3% of Saiga/Seiga's Base Reiatsu]
[ Echo Moon ]

Upon the achievement of Shinno Bankai, Mizuken's absorptive capabilities and her ability to store this energy increase even past the point of Bankai. Upon absorption, Mizuken may release smaller, individual waves aside from her first technique, Crescent Lunar Tide. These waves are only about the dimensions of the sword itself, and do not hold much power relative to Saiga's own reiatsu. The catch is that most of these waves are intangible. Whereas some can strike the opponent with decent force, most will simply pass through providing no harm to the victim. This is simply meant to confuse Saiga's opponents. What gives this feat its name is the fact that since it cost little energy to implement per wave, it is rather easy for Saiga to release them in rapid succession behind an already implemented attack. In example, while the larger and more destructive Crescent Moon Tide would be released, the Echo Moon effects to produce several waves in its wake, creating a series of attacks, most of which are simply shows of light.

[Each use consumes 0.5% of Saiga/Seiga's Base Reiatsu per wave]
[ Luminescence ]

Saiga/Seiga's inner world is a place of pure darkness, save for the single source of light cast down from a lone iridescent moon. While in their world, their souls are incessantly flooded in this light. Eventually, even their souls become use to absorbing the moon's energy, giving them a faint aura when they increase their reiatsu flow. The two tend to use this to their advantage. Upon the achievement of Shinno Bankai, Saiga and Seiga are able to slightly absorb the moon's light. If left to charge for long enough, a certain after image effect begins to take place. After learning to control this through their months of intense, almost sickening training (Following the second death of their sister), they are able to manipulate the light in such a way as to create moving images were they once stood. By leaving traces of their reiatsu combined with the infused light from the moon, Saiga and Seiga can create intangible replicas of themselves as they move about, proving to be most befuddling to any opponent not gifted enough to see through their ploy. Due to the high energy flow circulating around their body, when fully charged with moonlight, Saiga/Seiga recieve a short 10% boost to both Zanjutsu and Hohou. The lunar charge acts to empower Saiga/Seiga's strength by increased Reiatsu flow to the body and allows for more fluid movements, thus enabling better shyunpo performance.

[Consumes 2% of Saiga/Seiga's Base Reiatsu per Turn while images are in effect]
[ Deuce Fang Ripper ]

Some believe the soul to be the link between our reality, and our bodies. Our thoughts, our memories, our personalities, are all accumulations of events stored in our mind. Some may argue, that is what truly composes a soul. Yet is that soul breakable? Can it be manipulated? There are those who wished to find out.

Saiga discovered a lead to the whereabouts of his sister Misa. Her captivator, Ryu Takashi, had hidden her deep underground, within the walls of Seireitei, in a secluded series of dungeons known as the Six Gates of the Devil's Hell. Nearly maddened by the carnage that ensues, Saiga/Seiga make it to the end of this nightmare, only to confront Ryu, and Ryu's special guest, Saiga's sister Misa. Saiga/Seiga are easily beaten, and it is here that they enter their inner world for the first time. Once in there, it is also the first time that the two confront each other and become fully aware of the other's existence. Yet one is left to wonder why there would be two souls in this world, instead of one simply fractured. The answer my lie in Saiga's split mind.

They then learn to manifest their power into Bankai, yet this power still proves to be worthless. As a parting gift, Ryu tells Saiga the truth of his past. Ryu is Saiga's father and Saiga is a living experiment. For you see, Ryu's zanpakutou allows him to manifest and manipulate souls through the summoning of the Devil himself. He fuses two in particular into his very own son, creating Saiga as well as his hidden and darker alter ego Seiga. Curious to see the limit of trauma the human mind can withstand from an early age, Ryu slaughters Saiga's mother before him, causing a severe mental breakdown in the child as well as initiating the initial step to a sort of "homemade" Multiple Personality Disorder. The psychological effect ends up being not only a split mind, but a repression of all memories before that time. After hearing this Saiga does not react to kindly, feeling his head split from within as his very soul seems to be tearing apart. It is then that Ryu unleashes the next phase in his plan.

Ryu summons forth Saiga's "sister" Misa from her containment tank. Misa does not exist in the sense Saiga was lead to believe. She is used as a tool by Saiga's mind to help him cope with the events of his past. All previous memories of them together are simple a chain of dreams, each one being false in succession. Though she is not his actual sister, the two still feel a close bond when they come face to face being that they are both experiments of a madman. As she is released, Ryu triggers her manifestation into her true self, and forces her to fight Saiga through the manipulation of her soul. Unable to kill his own sister, Saiga does not fight back, allowing for Ryu to escape with a certain someone hidden from sight. Misa sees her reflection in the mirror, and realizes the truth behind her existence. She is a monster and the true cause of Saiga's death on Earth. Taking Saiga's hand within hers, and saying her final goodbyes to the brother she wishes once knew in a life long since past, she thrusts Mizuken through her heart, killing herself as a form of self release from the anguish of living. Needless to say, Saiga snaps, his mind in more mental trauma then one person can possible handle...alone. Fortunately, there is someone to help return to the pieces of Saiga's shattered mind, his perpetual dark shadow, Seiga.

After many successful attempts at returning to their spiritual world, both Saiga's and Seiga's soul become highly unstable, becoming more so with each time they split in that world. Eventually, splitting comes almost naturally for them, and once back in the real world, it becomes plausible, and even, reality. By splitting their joined souls at the core, the are momentarily able to separate even in the real world. However this comes at a high price. Their fusion was nearly perfect, creating one soul from two. In order to divide, the two must break this soul apart, leaving Saiga's half as well as Seiga's half free. Due to it being a "half soul" sort to speak, Saiga's attributes are appropriately divided as well, though since each split is not the same, certain stats can be distributed differently as long as they do not exceed the reiatsu difference. (Connection and Reiatsu are always split in half, yet stats could be redistributed as long as they do not exceed the Reiatsu given).

The split will only last anywhere between 5-15 minutes maximum before two are forced to join back once again. If kept apart for anywhere more than that, the souls will begin to deteriorate until eventual death about an hour or so later. Due to the instability of the split and the massive strain on one's body, once the two are reunited, they suffer from a severe mental breakdown often times leading into a coma for days on end. This technique is only to be used sparingly and only when absolutely needed.

[ Juu Ryuu ] -- "Art of Beasts" Practioners of the Juu Ryuu technique have long sought a way to maximize damage upon a foe, while still remaining relatively safe from harm. The key to their success became an near absolute offense. Juu Ryuu works to provide a series of erratic, incessant attacks in order to force an opponent into submission. Through high stamina, Juu Ryuu users can keep such tactics up for minutes on end. This method of strenous training results in stronger than average attacks and even quicker slashes. Due to the consistency of the strikes, enemy counterattacks will most often fail, thus providing a decent defensive as well. However, since the art focuses intensely on one's skill with a sword, practioners suffer in the fields of Hakuda.

[Requires 3,000 Zanjutsu; 2,000 Hohou; and 5,000 Reiatsu. Zanjutsu must be highest stat and at least 1,000 points higher than next highest. (Excluding Reiatsu and Connection)]

Stat Modification(s) :

+30% to Zanjutsu
-10% to Hakuda

Special Condition(s) :

- A user of Juu Ryuu cannot use any Hakuda Techs and/or Feats.

- Senpuuken now only requires 3,000 Zanjutsu. The frequency of hits increases, yet the precision of strikes becomes less accurate.

Prelude: Fall from Grace
Word Count: 1,034

It was a cold winter's morning. Saiga had just returned from gathering the remainder of the season's harvest. The dew set on the surrounding foliage and glistened in the new sun. It was another peaceful morning. He loved mornings like these. They reminded him of the time he spent as a child with his mother and father, and especially of his mother's warm embrace.

Saiga stopped for a drink at a nearby pond. He noticed his reflection in the water, slightly distorted by the new ripples sliding across the surface. He had grown into a fine young man. The long, hard hours of labor had shaped his physique as if he were made of clay and were the object of an artesian's passion and desire. He ran his fingers through his long, unruly black hair. He turned for home, with his hair gliding in the light breeze, as though it were waving at the sun.

Saiga approached his house and opened the door to a friendly face.

"Saiga-san!" , yelled Misa, Saiga's younger sister, "Are you back from harvesting already?" Misa had a look of discontent about her. She had awoke to find Saiga missing again, as was common of him, as he was always busy. Her cheeks became pink as she yelled and her long black hair bounced about her. Her tiny delicate arms frantically waving about.

"Yes, Misa, it doesn't look like we will have much this winter" , said Saiga. "We'll have to ration our sources again" . The winter season had come early this year, destroying much of their precious crop, leaving little left to survive let alone sell.

Saiga grabbed his coat once owned by his father, and headed back for the door.

"Where are you off to now? Aren't you gonna help me cook dinner tonight?" , questioned Misa, obviously ruffled by Saiga's hasty retreat.

"I'm sorry Misa, but I'm going to town to see if I can get some extra money. We'll need all we can get" , replied Saiga. Before Misa could respond, Saiga had gone and shut the door behind him. The walk to town was long and cumbersome. Saiga often used this time to reflect on his inner thoughts.

"How will we get by this winter?" , thought Saiga. "People have not been hiring lately and I'm running out of jobs." "Maybe Misa could come work too?" "Never. I could never allow that. She's much too young to work. As her brother, its my responsibility to care for her no matter what." "But still..." Saiga's thought was interrupted as he came across a curious little creature.

It was a kitten, with black and white ruffled fur and a tiny pink nose. Saiga being fond of animals, especially cats, reached into his belongings, and pulled out a small piece of ham he had be meaning to eat for lunch and gave it to the hungry kitten. The kitten kindly replied with a small "Miaow" and a light purr before running off into the tall grass to join the rest of its family. Saiga laughed and continued with his trip, although slightly disappointed at the loss of his lunch.

As Saiga reached town, he made straight for Mr. Mesato's shop.

"Hey there Mr. Mesato. How are you feeling today? Got any work for me?" , asked Saiga with a hopeful curiosity.

"Morning Saiga, you're in luck, I was just looking for someone to help me move some things around the store, but I can't pay you very much" , replied Mr. Mesato.

Saiga needed the money, but knew that Mr. Mesato really couldn't afford extra help. In fact, he probably didn't even really need Saiga's help. Mr. Mesato was a kind, old man, though very capable and thought very highly of Saiga. He had shaggy white hair and many wrinkles. He was slightly hunched as people of his age often are. He oftened like to joke around with Saiga.

"That's ok, Mr. Mesato. I'll take whatever you can give me" , answered Saiga staring kindly into Mr. Mesato's squinty, dark eyes.

Saiga enjoyed working for Mr. Mesato. The store was very quiet and calming and the customers were nice. The work wasn't too hard either, at least compared to the back-breaking hours spent in the fields. After a few long hours spent at Mr. Mesato's shop, Saiga decided that it was time for him to leave and go back to Misa. He was beginning to feel guilty with himself that he was never there for her and was always busy with work.

"Bye, Mr. Mesato. Thanks for everything." , said Saiga.

"Anytime, Saiga. And thank you for your help," answered Mr. Mesato with a grin as he payed Saiga and saw him off to the door.

As Saiga returned home, he noticed a strong wind pierce his chest. A powerfully chilling frost overcame his senses, numbing him to the bone. Saiga coughed and covered his chest. He hurried home. It was getting dark.

When Saiga was within visual distance of his home, he noticed something rather strange to him. The lights at home were not on. "Has Misa fallen asleep?" , Saiga thought. He began to worry. His troubles were answered as he rushed to the door and swung it open. To his horror, in the setting sunlight, Misa's twisted, motionless body lay lifeless on the floor before him. Blood painted the walls a grotesque shade of red. A silent air filled the room.

Saiga snapped. His mind split to pieces, no longer able to comprehend all that was happening before him. Sweat mixed with tears as they ran down his face to his lower chin, where they plunged to the unforgiving floor. An unbearable pain filled his heart. It grasped at his soul. Grief consumed his body and mind. He was far too gone to notice his own blood pool on the floor before him, licking at the contorted shape presently occupying the role as his sister. As the light left his eyes, he noticed a tall man in black attire. Saiga died with that prevailing image and fell to the floor beside his sister.

The next morning, there was a dead silence. The sun rose. The dew glistened. All was peaceful as before.
