<3 Ihi!​

Physical Stature: He stands at a humble six foot even, his build matches his height perfectly. He has slightly broad shoulders and a well kept, toned body. Silvery white hair, neatly placed bangs over his forehead the rest is pulled through a hollow, metal ring into a pony tail which hangs neatly down his lower back. His eyes a unique brand; dark green along the outer edges with a subtle hint of yellow near the center of his retina. A small pair of professor's glasses sit quaintly on his nose; the frames forming a crescent while the lens are a full circle. He's extremely well groomed to the point of being obsessive.

Age: In Rukongai: 100 Age at death: 30

Persona:A very methodical and precise man when it comes to any task, no matter how important; always following through until it's complete. Incredibly intelligent book wise however his street smarts leave much to be desired. His sense of humor is somewhat lacking which causes him to take people VERY seriously the majority of the time. Though he may seem cold and arrogant at times he is also very self-effacing and quite noble, some of his more redeeming features.


Biography: Growing up in 'normal' is what he would call it. He had a sweet and kind mother, strict yet dependable father, and an annoying little brother who looked up to him. For as normal as they were he however saw himself 'a different breed' from them. He was always haunted by disturbing voices and noises throughout his days.

He graduated with highest of honors. His field of study quickly found him rising up in the ranks of famous surgeons of Japan.

One night, in a fit of anger and confusion, he left home during a heavy rainstorm. While driving he suddenly heard an overwhelming screeching in his ear. Startled he lost control and hit a tree head on killing him instantly. Not long after he found the noise was the death cry of a Hallow which a Shinigami was slaying. Lucky for him he didn't have to wait long to be sent to Soul Society, and from South Rukongai, where he found the living conditions completely unacceptable, he mingled his way into the Shinigami Academy.

かまきり

Blade description- The handle is an elongated one; enough for two hands with a good amount of free range motion. The hilt is made of steel with a silver layer on top; two Sakura petals decorate each side. The blade is a unique one but still keeps its standard katana shape. The blade is curvy, long, and narrow; however, the tip has a D shaped bulge; resembling a scalpel.

The scabbard is the most unique as it has hinges on one side and splits down the center, like a case to place the blade in. The wooden material used is painted black and has no other design on it.

Manifestation: A middle aged man, curly brown hair stretching down to his shoulders. A long blue european style coat drapes down his back, his clothing is simple and clean. Brown leather boots match the gloves snugged to his hands.

Shi Kai

Release command- "Gyakusatsu! Kamakiri!" (Massacre-Atrocity, Praying mantis.)

Form change- Mimicking that of a praying mantis arm, the blade upon release simple expands the blade width and small grooves form down the sides of the blade that run in a zig zag pattern.

However, upon applying his reiatsu to it the blade snaps open revealing two jointed sections that swing outwards with a 180 degree radius, not only does this make the blade double the length but the it has a sharp edge on each side; the inside of the arm's jagged like that of a Praying mantis.

The only difference from a Praying mantis is the third section at the tip, a much shorter but wider part with three thin, long hooks on it for ensnaring an opponent.

First Ability-"Miyabita Enbu~!" (Graceful Waltz)​

Explanation: Only able to use while in it's released form, the six largest points on the inside of the arm detach from the whole and are manipulated using his Reiatsu. The Reiatsu acting like a chain to connect the six points to the blade still, each able to be controlled like a separate entity.

The reach of each of them is 7 Meters, each point is about 3-4 inches in length and razor sharp.

Their movements are very fluid and each point seems to move in a pattern along with the others, thus the name "Miyabita Enbu."

Second Ability-"Sakurifaisu~"(Sacrifice )

Explanation:The name for this extension really speaks for itself, by forcing a sort of power surge of reiatsu into Kamakiri's talons Katsu can overload the talons causing them to explode violently. Since this is both painful to Kamakiri and not wise to do at the beginning of a fight it is usually a move saved for a desperate situation, once a talon is detonated the rope retracts and the talon is no more until the blade can regenerate another which means the maximum time he can use this in one fight while in shi kai is six.

Kamakiri no Zankoku Shinsou

(Cruel True Claw of the Praying Mantis)

One Form: The form change has no effect on the actual blade itself and thus leaves the zanpakutou a standard katana shape. However, from his back a pair of large transparent mantis arms sprout outwards and unfolds before him. The arms are made entirely from spiritrons and give them their translucent appearance. This starts at the base of his shoulder blades and rise nearly twenty feet above him.

Their structure is exactly that of a praying mantis's arm, jagged along the inside with a longer spine in at the tip. The arms are controlled as if they were a second set of limbs for Katsu giving them that much more maneuverability and efficiency.

One Ability: During the duration of this state of release Katsu's reiatsu is projected upwards and gathered in the space above him, collecting and forming this reiatsu into more physical objects becomes Katsu's sole benefit upon compression.

From the very moment Katsu goes ban kai a series of 10 astral blades form in a wide arc above his head, the blades composed of his reiatsu gathered into a solid willingly. The ten blades hone in on an enemies reiatsu signature automatically thus meaning Katsu doesn't have to focus or concentrate for this ability to work, the down side to this is the homing ability of the blades isn't the most accurate and upon the blades leaving the space above Katsu they become nothing more then blind projectiles with a generalized destination.

Each turn a new set of blades are created and launched automatically after they have acquired their target, the size and shape of the blades is that of a broad sword.

One Attack: Seijoumon (Astral Gates) The manifestation of astral blades comes automatic during normal circumstances and thus Katsu doesn't need to even focus for them to work, but it is when Katsu does focus on creating these blades is where his ban kai's true power comes into play.

Gathering and compressing his reiatsu into a tiny space above him Katsu seals away twenty astral blades within a tiny containment sphere which almost completely masks the power held within, the ball is transparent and nearly impossible to see with ones eyes. Upon compressing the energy either with a movement of his hand or mental projection Katsu moved the orb over his enemy's position, upon arriving Katsu releases the hold on the orb allowing the sphere to expand into a gate.

Once this gate is opened the gathered blades shoot forth towards the enemy in a blinding flurry of twenty teal colored astral swords, the width of the gate and area of damage is around twenty feet.

This attack is only able to be used once for the duration of Katsu's compressed release since it requires a great deal of focus and power to form the gates. Starting with 1 gate at 10% a new gate is able to be created with every additional 20% capping off with 5 gates at 100%. (Anything past 100% simples condenses additional blades into each gate, meaning with every 5% over 100% 5 more blades are added.)

- Additionally each gate is a 3% drain from Katsu's Reiatsu, capping at 15% with the creation of the fifth and final gate.

Second Attack: Shouhen Manako (Crumbling Eye) - Within any fighters arsenal there exists a last ditch attack, or a desperation move that is immensely powerful and destructive but comes at a high price. This attack is one of those, a final strike in which looks to destroy the enemy with extreme prejudice.

From within Katsu and Kamakiri' reiatsu ascend skywards in the shape of teal wisps with pitch black outlines, above him the reiatsu gathers there and takes the form of a pure black sphere which measures roughly sixty feet in diameter. This swirling mass which physically manifests a monstrous amount of the Shinigami's reiatsu hangs in the air with an eerie silence, an omen of events to come is ushered when at the edge of the sphere which faces the opponent opens a crystalline white eye which spans about five feet from one edge to the other.

This eyes serves as a third eye to Katsu and once the white orb within the sea of black has set it's sights on the enemy from above a thunderous crack rumbles the heavens, like a intricate spiders web a series of cracks spindle from the eye to completely overcome the orb.

Left now are close to three hundred shards of ebony ranging in size from two feet in length to mere inches, each diverse in width. Starting from the back of the sphere the shards begin to dismount from the sphere shape and plummet towards the enemy with the eye as their guide. What's seen from the ground is a literal shower of black, each shard razor sharp and jagged; thirsting to mince the enemy to pieces or crush them with pure mass.

Once the crumbling shards reach the white eye a final destination is found for the white orb before it elongated in a flash to form a long spear, the spear then crashes down onto the enemy as a blinding white streak leaving behind a localized detonation of reiatsu to annihilate what is left.

Damage and dodging -

Shards travel at the equivalent speed of Katsu's BASE Hohou, final javelin's speed is 0.5x faster then that of his base.

Ban Kai

Phrase: "Zannin! Kamakiri no me no uchi ni!" (Atrocity in the mantis's eye)

Description:

Form: The blade returns to its original form minus the D shaped tip which fans open to expose jagged tips surrounding the half circle it forms.

Ability: Much like his Shi Kai ability, the six talons which were connected to his blade are now directly connected to his back by longer ropes of his reiatsu, these ropes act like arms to handle the blades. All six are larger now nearing the one foot length but are narrow like a katana blade yet covered with jagged barbs and hooks.

Attack: Channeling his reiatsu through the blade he condenses it at the tip into a microscopic ball, the ball acting like a barrier to contain the amount of reiatsu placed inside. When the blade is swung he can release the ball from the blade, then like a smart bullet the ball will travel to a set distance that Katsu affixes it. Upon reaching this point the "bullets" containment field deforms, the ball expands rapidly to a maximum width of six feet in diameter.

The expansion of the ball is caused by the reiatsu contained within it exploding, within the barrier it creates on the field the shock wave of reiatsu is ricocheted to and fro acting like a blade to slice up anything which is within the sphere.

A maximum of ten orbs can be created at any one time; the ability to link the spheres into one is also available but is much more taxing on Katsu.

Each sphere created = 3% SP usage.

The length the spheres stay in the expanded state is about five seconds before it collapses in on itself and dissipates the time it takes to expand to it's full width is one seconds, during that time if ten spheres are out then he cannot created another until one is gone.

The sphere shoots from the blade according to the power behind the swing, I.E a soft swing will hurtle the ball slowly to the target point while a violent swing will project it rapidly. The only indication there is of where the sphere is going to detonate is the noise that's created by the expansion of the barrier, a deep humming noise. The humming noise always comes before the second it takes to expand, while its expanding damage is still done but is at it's fullest once the sphere is fully expanded.


Shinno Ban Kai



One Form: The orbs Katsu can create in his ban kai (The 6 foot wide spheres) all converge out around Katsu creating a 60 foot dome around his body with Katsu at the epicenter. Katsu then draws in the displaced energy within the Zanpakutou's blade itself, the steel is shattered and leaves a compressed version of those spheres but instead it's in the shape of his blade.

The shape of the blade is like a malleable shell which allows things to pass through it's shell but contains the constant bursts of his reiatsu which create razor sharp blades that shred everything within that area at high speeds.

One Ability: While inside the giant orb before it's condensed Katsu's body itself undergoes dramatic changes, through the odd relationship him and Kamikiri have his Zanpakutou's physical traits begin to overlap along with Katsu's. The result leaves Katsu's body a sort of hybrid fusion between him and his soul slayer, having the majority of the control of the body Kamikiri thus increases the bodies speed and the combat ability he focuses the most on.

40% Increase to Zanjutsu due to the take over and 30% increase to Hohou.

One Attack: As the blade is now no longer physical and is nothing but a constant explosion of his reiatsu being contained within the blade like shape the power of a slice or a stab becomes almost quadrupled, an added effect to this is the ability to expand the containment field keeping the shockwaves localized. By expanding the containment field he can elongate, widen, and even shrink the size and shape of the blade now.

The length and width it can be expanded/lengthened can not exceed 10 feet in either direction. (I.E. Elongating it 10 feet = a 10 foot long blade while expanding it = a 10 foot diameter disc.)


Kyoushou Ban Kai

Attack Kyoushou: Manipulating the shared control over Katsu's body in Shinno Kamikiri and Katsu both put their heart and soul into one thing, each having just one thing to manipulate while having full faith in the other. The ultimate pay off from the bond the two of them share is represented within this final stage of ban kai, full and utter concentration of both spirits is focused solely into their combat prowess in order to deal the enemy a crushing final blow. The result of such focus on purely killing the enemy drives the zanjutsu stat up by 80% during the entirety of his release.

The zanpakutou blade itself remains the same but now has a sheath which is clung to his side instead of on his back; this in turn opens up a new method of using Battou shyunpo hand in hand with his newly attained skill giving the technique an even higher lethality.

Allies that have faced many hardships together often gain a higher bond. Through such a connection, comrades are able to face the brunt of duress and adversity with a heightened degree of tolerance. Touitsu Kousen, a sister Technique to Touitsu Sensen, culminates this aspect of bonds into an inherent defensive mechanism. This Tech allows characters that have reached a special bond to endure and tolerate more damage than usual. Characters under Touitsu Kousen's effect receive a -15% physical and spiritual damage reduction, and a +15% effectiveness increase to all defensive Kidou, Techs/Feats, and Zanpaku abilities. Touitsu Kousen remains wholly invisible in a "non-duel" circumstance. Otherwise, it automatically occupies a Tech Allocation slot (though still does not count towards the Tech List).

3) *** [ Souzumi Enishi ] -- "Fate of Triangles" (Syn/--/--)Real, unconditional comradeship is a rarity that comes only to those true of heart. Allies that have attained such a legendary bond are said to be inseparable and unbreakable in battle. Souzumi Enishi emphasizes the power of invincible bonds, allowing indivisible comrades to combine their efforts into a singular, unique, and synergetic skill. Souzumi Enishi remains wholly invisible in a "non-duel" circumstance. Otherwise, it automatically occupies a Tech Allocation slot (though still does not count towards the Tech List). No more than three characters may unite under a single Souzumi Enishi. All characters are limited to one Souzumi Enishi group.

4) [ Reiatsu Teion ] -- "Spiritual Pressure Bass" (Atk/Sta/-)
By forcibly moving Reiatsu to a striking point on the body, when a blow is landed, the target receives a higher amount of damage. This is accomplished through making one's gathered Reiatsu vibrate at a certain frequency for a split second--enough to bruise the flesh and fracturing the bone in the area of impact. For new users, the Technique will merely rattle their opponent. As the user progresses in skill, the effect goes up to shorting out the opponent's Kidou and/or Reiatsu flow for a few seconds, to bruising the flesh and fracturing the bone under the impact. The higher the frequency and the steadier the said frequency is maintained flawlessly, the stronger and wider the effect. The Technique cannot be continuously maintained as it will harm the user but used in small bursts mere half-seconds before impact.

The effect of prolonged use on the user is depleted Reiatsu and eventual bruising of the part of their body they use to strike with. Using the Technique for rapid attacks or a blitz attack requires perfect control of one's Reiatsu, as well as flawless hand-to-hand combat skills, but is very tiring. It is advisable to space out one's use unless you have high stamina.

5) [ Kakusan ] -- "Diffusion" (Aur/-/-)
This Technique is designed to counter Atozukeru, however, it is also useful in its own right. As a counter, it enables the user to "diffuse" their energy patterns, and at higher levels, the user is able to diffuse patterns so much so that they may become untraceable by those with less Reiatsu. As a unique Technique (and a higher level one), Kakusan enables the "throwing" of energy patterns so as to distract or confuse opponents by resting patterns on sound waves (e.g., echoes). When this Technique is mastered, Kakusan can be used to form "clouds" of energy around opponents which dull their sense abilities by 10%. Kakusan's passive diffusion drains Reiatsu at a rate of 3% per round and/or 2% Reiatsu for every time its active effects are used.

[Attained when 2,000 Reiatsu is reached. Optimum efficiency for Kakusan is reached at 2,500 Reiatsu.]

6)[ Atozukeru ] -- "Trace" (Aur/-/-)
Based entirely on the reasoning behind meditation, this Technique is performed solely through the control and focusing of the mind. It is a specialized ability to "trace" Reiatsu. This includes the basic form of being able to sense where people are, but in battle, Atozukeru is used to trace and learn "patterns" in movement (by tracing smaller patterns of energy movement, like the wave of an arm, for example), both within the opponent (e.g., footwork, hand to hand combat) and also for the Zanpakutou (e.g., swordsmanship). It enables the ability to "see" these patterns so openings for attack and opportunities for defense are increased. The user's Reiatsu is drained at a rate of 3% per round for the duration of Atozukeru's effect.

7 ) [ Senpuuken ] -- "Whirlwind Sword" (Atk/Mov/-)
A sword Technique where by using momentum from a spinning motion, a fast and wild attack is performed. The user swings his/her sword in wide strokes all around them, using the momentum of the rotating motion to increase the speed of the second attack until a rapid combo of strikes is performed all around them. With the wild, long strikes used in this attack, there is not true aimed shot at a specific place, but because of the large area and rapid succession of each attack at the right distance, it is becomes difficult to avoid this attack (this is if both people are at equal standing).

9 ) [ Battou Shunpo ] -- "Drawing Sword Shunpo" (Atk/Mov/-)
A combination of the samurai art of drawing his sword in a deathblow fashion and a large burst of Shunpo. Note that the sword itself does not move at Shunpo speed, but rather only as quickly as the user's body can utilize it while in Shunpo. A large amount of Reiatsu is used, and if the character's Zanjutsu is not higher than his target's, the Shunpo fails. Otherwise, a high success rate occurs.

9) * [ Shikai no Shirei Nukeura ] -- "Shikai Command Bypass" (Aur/-/-)
After achieving Ban Kai, the release phrase for Shikai is no longer necessary. This Technique allows the user to simply release his Zanpakutou instantaneously.

10) [ Kyuu Picchi ] -- "Quick Pace" (Mov/-/-)
Practitioners of the Way of physical combat have always lived by the same principle day after day: Death is only an arm's length away. Even the most powerful of warriors can be brought down by a single weak enemy that can keep them at a distance, and as such, this Technique was conceived to help them close the distance to the enemy in a matter of seconds. For Shinigami, this skill has been labeled as Shunpo, but the ability to attack in shampoo is beyond the reach of most, and even after it is attained, it can only be used a few times in a battle due to the strain on one's energy reserves. Kyuu Picchi answers the need to close the gap, but also covers the need to attack as quickly as possible by being fundamentally close to Shunpo, but not as instantaneous. By concentrating for a brief moment, the user can summon Reiatsu to his or her feet and burst forward at half the speed of Shunpo, while also being capable of striking the enemy during any point of the movement with added momentum to his or her attack.

Feats:

[ Tore-su Youma ] - "Traced Phantasm"

Not too long after emerging from the endless depths of the Millennium castle which resides within Katsu's own subconscious he had begun experimenting with the techniques and abilities which were gained during his time there. Within the heart of the castle lie the Daisho Keimusho (Scribed Penitentiary), a library vast and wide containing any information Katsu may have come across during his life and afterlife. Any items, places, things, actions, anything he has even taken a glimpse of is stored within the seemingly endless walls in vivid, extensive detail; what his conscious mind may not remember or noticed his unconscious being has stored within.

And thus, that knowledge is but one key to this rare ability he was awarded.

The second key comes from an ability of his recently obtained Ousaku Ban Kai, the creation of astral blades via the utilization and manipulation of his reishi. The ability to manipulate his reishi can be used now without having to be in a released state, but it is simply the technique and not the power of his ban kai that he uses.

Now, with both keys in place he is allowed access to this ability.

By offering up a sum of demon energy (kidou) to open the gates to the Daisho Keimusho he is granted the visual reference of any bladed weapon he has ever set his gaze upon, long swords, katana's, halberd, spears, etc. Additionally Zanpakutou's in their sealed and shi kai forms that he has seen may also be created. (**Note they are simply the form changes and shapes, no abilities or skills are granted from this.)

With a single hand upon the ground he expands his life force (reiatsu) outwards to allow the tracing of any weapon into existence. For a hundred yards around his center the many different weapons can sprout from the earth like newly born trees, the weapons can only be removed and used by Katsu since they are essentially a part of his being.

Throughout the entirety of this Phantasm's existence Katsu can retrace any weapon that may have been broken during combat as if it were brand new; furthermore, regular weapons are stronger than normal as they are made purely of his reiatsu and Zanpakutou's are weaker than normal for the very same reason.

Finally, the Phantasm can only be maintained at a maximum of 7 RP rounds. Any additional time will zap 500 reiatsu points per extra round.

[ Kettou Waritsuke ] - "Duel Allocation"

Through a traumatic turn of events and an overall destabilization of Katsu's spirit and mind the bond with his zanpakutou has been modified, the nature of this ability relates to a more shared control of Katsu's body. Control no longer rests solely with Katsu but is shared with his zanpakutou's spirit now. Relinquishing control gives Katsu the extra battle abilities that are constantly active due to this unique fusion.

The increase in speed and proficiency with his blade increases when the zanpakutou is released.

Unreleased state grants a 10% boost to both Zanjutsu and Hohou, and released would grant 20% to each of the two stats.


[ Ryuuchou hagane ] - "Flowing Steel"

Becoming fascinated with the manipulation and control of one's Reiatsu Katsu began tinkering with more unexplored uses and applications of this control, more exact threading it through his hair.

By infusing each strand with a minute amount of his reiatsu he is able to gain precise control over the silver strands, though controlling just one strand is hardly a bother the sheer density of his hair means there are quite a few strands to be controlled.

On top of being able to simply control them the added effect of infusing the tresses with reiatsu makes them like rods of pure steel, and when pilled on top of each other they are capable of both defense and short ranged attacks.
  • SP Drain while simply moving it -- 2% SP per turn
  • SP Drain while using it as a weapon -- 4% SP per turn
  • SP Drain while using it as a shield -- 6-10% SP per turn
  • Effect of attack is that equal to a thrust or slash of ones sword, no special properties.
  • Effect of the shield is more or less his hair becomes a metal shield protected by and infused with his reiatsu, depending on how much reiatsu is applied the effect and drain can vary. Because it's basically a physical manifestation of his SP it can protect from both physical and kidou attacks, giving him a 30% increase in defense against physical at max output and a 25% increase against kidou at max output.

August Echelon:

[ Kazan Kikan no Daikouketsu ]
"The Volcanic Engine's Thundering Rule"​

All members of the August Echelon are infamous throughout the whole of Soul Society, Anoyo, and Hueco Mundo, and such is the same for the magnitude of their Zanpakutou as well. Their fearsome releases have been used in the face of many threats, and the resultant bond and advanced levels of proficiency has elevated the scale of such releases to new heights. This skill is born of such a connection, and enables a member of the August Echelon to further expand and augment the power of his or her Ousaku Ban Kai release by adopting one of many sub-skills offered. Also, should the pertinent circumstances necessitate dire measures, one is now able to release Ousaku Ban Kai without having to enter Shikai beforehand. Note that any given character may only adopt one of the following skills:

[ Gekisensou ] -- "The Staged War"
The Goliath attacks of many Ousaku Ban Kai are often the epitome of such releases. Members of the August Echelon that would rather unleash the full offensive brunt of their final releases upon the enemy will develop the Gekisensou, whereupon he or she may execute one of his or her attacks with a +50% boost in output power. However, he or she may only use Gekisensou for the same number of Ousaku Ban Kai attack slots that he or she has. So if he or she possesses two attack slots, then Gekisensou may be used twice every time Ousaku Ban Kai is released.

[ Seidou no Hyakuman Kadotachi ]
"The Sacred Hall's Million Gates"​

Through the participation in a number of missions, as well as accumulated experience within innumerous battles and ordeals, a Shinigami will come to realize the nature of his or her most profound strengths. The August Echelon recognizes these unique traits as what will be delivering factors should Soul Society ever be in tremendous peril, and have made accommodations to suit each and every one member into sub-classes of combat specialty. It should be noted that each member is only capable of adopting one sub-class.

[ Shinshitou ] -- "The Sylvan Sword"
Prodigious fighters and warriors who have honed their physical prowess and skills to the highest levels congregate under the Shinshitou class. It is here that practitioners of different Bujutsu, as well as connoisseurs of either the armed or empty-handed martial arts find their place amongst the ardent members of the August Echelon. However, with such a vast degree of diversity even within a sub-class, the abilities attainable by those of the Shinshitou work to emphasize individual power as such:

[ Akanu ] -- "Clearest Moment"
Having to plunge into direct and close-range combat is often a fatal undertaking, where versatility and spirit are frequently the only things that will allow one to emerge alive. Being able to properly and unhesitatingly counter a decisive strike is of equal importance, and with the skill of Akanu, a warrior of the Shinshitou is given an empty skill slot that is considered neither a Technique nor a Feat in technical nature, but may be filled by a unique counter skill-- equivalent to the level of a Feat or succession Technique-- that is special to each member. The respective skill may be used to turn around dire situations where there may be no escape from an overwhelming enemy attack, and even drastically shift the favor to the Shinshitou warrior's.

[Must have effectively parried or countered at least fifteen different attacks beforehand in PC vs. PC fights or plot fights.]

[ Kui ] -- "Tradition of Crimson"
There were once rumors of master-warriors that have transcended legendary and mythical status and onto that of the phantasmagoric Hisakusa itself... having become of such epic and mystical identities that mere humans are no longer capable of either sensing or remembering them. Seeking and pursuing this level of "unfathomable fame" has been the object of aspiration to many earnest warriors, and those that have been said to 'touch' that level are regarded as having received a divine glance from that of the gods. By such a sacred bequeathal, those who purportedly crossed paths with, fought, and narrowly survived against these warriors told tales of indescribable, indiscernible, and undeniable skill, tersely terming it as "Kui," the Tradition of Crimson, but for one belief: using it guarantees the shedding and splashing of blood.

Amagawa Sougen has arranged for the rigorous attainment of this skill for only the most proficient and masterful of martial art practitioners. Through innumerous hours of continuous meditation, a Shinshitou may be bestowed with Kui, the ability to double the gap in combative capacity between him or herself and the enemy. This works by taking the difference between the Shinshitou's current Zanjutsu or Hakuda and that of the opponent's, doubling that value, and letting the said value be the new difference in Zanjutsu or Hakuda between the Shinshitou and the enemy. With that, the Shinshitou's ability to read, parry, evade, or counter against the enemy is increased, while the opponent's same abilities are lowered against the Shinshitou, all as according to how large the gap grows as the result of Kui. However, the Shinshitou's maximum Zanjutsu or Hakuda stat must be at least 500 points higher than that of the opponent's base Zanjutsu or Hakuda in order for Kui to work, and the increased gap in Zanjutsu or Hakuda does not affect any pertinent calculations in any skill. Whenever Kui is in effect, the opponent will always view the Shinshitou's fists or sword blade as being heavily splashed and caked in blood.

[ Soraichi no Fukai Kyoku ]
"The Aerial City's Untouchable Zenith"

The fabled Kikouou that once stood watch over the Sou Kyoku execution poles was often glorified as the 'million Zanpakutou,' an allusion to its fearsome and overwhelming appearance and manifested release. A member of the August Echelon may hope to attain such a level of power with their own Zanpakutou once 40,000 Connection is reached... and with it, claim dominion over those lesser than him or herself. Soraichi no Fukai Kyoku affords such an altitude of strength, whereupon no opponent with Connection (or any other pertinent stat that acts like Connection with the exception of Reiatsu) equal to or lesser than 10,000 that of the August Echelon member's may ever hope to engage in equitable battle with the Master Shinigami... as doing so will result in the complete destruction of the lesser Zanpakutou (or any other staple weapon). However, this all affords much more than mere dominance.

With the 'power of a million Zanpakutou,' the soul slayer of an August Echelon member gains a certain level of independence from the physical construction of the weapon itself, such that even should his or her Zanpakutou be compromised in combat, Kai releases may be retained and still activated with reasonable loss in power. Description: The user of this spell quickly wraps energy into their fist then releases it. As the power is released the beastly image of a demon is formed around the fist. Upon impact, the energy explodes violently against the target causing up to five times the damage a normal punch would have.

Description: The user points their fingers at their opponent, releasing a series of wild electric blasts. The attack isn't all too powerful, however it will temporary stun one's opponent. The attack also has some magnetic properties, allowing one to temporary halt attacks from metal objects.

Description: Creates a wave of fire that speeds towards the enemy. Weakness lies with the fact that it's connected to the ground. But the height and speed can be altered by energy put into it.

~Fist of Destruction -- Hadou #47, 750 Kidou, Arcana special~

Description: A special kidou formed by the Arcana, other shinigami have been known to have knowledge of this attack however that in itself has been a rare occurrence. Fist of Destruction takes and wraps Kidou energy around the user's hand. The energy then becomes a bright white. The energy can be extended from the fist for 5ft and the damaged minimized, but the true strength comes from direct contact. When FoD strikes at close range the focused energy will gather into the striking point then explode, blowing apart the stricken object and leaving a searing crater. However, the Arcana were said to have refined the ability so much that it actually tears away at the outer flesh of the user, causing the cracked skin to glow brightly.

Bakudou:

Yusuru -- Bakudou #37, 450 Kidou

Description: The user sends a concentrated wave of energy out across the ground in a 10ft radius. The wave itself is harmless, but it has a destabilizing effect. This wave of energy since a nagging current through your opponent's legs, temporary encasing them in an electromagnetic field. Once activate, whenever the spiritons in a person's body starts to move at a rapid speed (say with shyunpo) the spell will cause the spiritons to regroup by forcing them together, the user is then stopped in their tracks. This spell lasts for twenty-five seconds once activated, and can stay dormant on the victim for up to 2 minutes.

Incantation: Bind the soul and clasp the spirit. Stop all deviancy, and strip it of its freedom. Bakudou #37, Yusuru

Bougyoudo:

~Threshold - Bougyoudo #34, 290 kidou~

Effect: Deadens the body making the user incabable of feeling pain for a limited amount of time. The user ignores cuts, bruises, and broken bones that they have. The side effect is that it is very possible to bleed to death, since while the kidou is in effect you feel like you're in perfect health. So it becomes near impossible to tell the extent of your injuries. Unfortunately, when the kidou wears off prepare yourself since with servere injuries you'll probably be overwhelmed with pain.


Phrase: Kill the senses, deadened this body! Restrain any pain that could be inflicted! Bougyoudo #34, Threshold!!!

Chiyudo:

Tangent - Chiyudo #32, 320 Kidou

One of the fastest working barrier spells around, it is a speedy and relatively easy going counter. Chanting the short incantation, an instantaneous burst of energy flares in front of the user, lasting only for a split second. Only capable of blocking strikes at the user's own strength or lower, it is still very useful. If any physical contact with the Tangent barrier is made, the opponent will be knocked off his/her feet, sent flying backwards roughly 20 feet, though not hurt. All the combined effects of this spell happens in less than a second from the completion of the incantation, making it light but hard to evade.

"Aggressive and agile, Chiyudo #32, Tangent!"

Temperance -- Chiyudo #54, 640 Kidou

Description: The user forces their palms out with the bottom of each touching each other. A clear, liquid-like barrier is then shot out. The barrier will protect against most attacks up to 2x the user's sp, and will half the damage from attacks about 3 to 5 times their SP.

Not only that, but when defending against damage attacks, Temperance releases a sharp shock. The shock temporary disables the attacker by sending out a paralyzing vibration through their body. The barrier lasts for about 10 seconds.

Name: Hideyo Megami

Age: 22 (145 Years in SS)

Physical Appearance: A petite frame standing 5'4" very limber and agile as more then half her height is her legs. Subtle pink hair sits just short of shoulder length, her hazel eyes always shimmering with life.


Persona: Around friends or those she feels comfortable with others could see her as loud and unruly, however she is quite soft spoken when it's more of a personal encounter. She has a very strong sense of duty and loyalty to her friends but even deeper a connection with her single relative she managed to find in SS after leaving the material realm, because of this bond she shared with her brother the news of his death has brought about drastic changes in her personality, border lining insanity.

Biography: Raised in a secluded island off the mainland of Japan she had always wanted to leave the island and go to school on the mainland but her family was quite strict in keeping their seclusion and only allowing others from the village into their family.

As a little girl she was always getting into trouble along with her twin brother Himitsu, they both shared an unusually strong bond for two people, both promising to meet up in the afterlife.

However, her drive to want to meet new people and see new sights outside of their bland town led both her and her brother to run away from their island at the age of 17. Upon arriving at the mainland they found out life wasn't as grand as they thought it would be, surviving thanks to the ability to rely on one another Hideyo managed to go through college while Himitsu worked full time in the subways.

Years later misfortune fell upon Himitsu as he was killed during an accident in the subway, perhaps because of the strange bond they shared Hideyo was killed that same night on her way to pick up her brother.

Upon arriving in Soul Society it took little over a year for them to find one another in a mistaken miracle, training together they found that the both of them had identical soul slayers; the twin pair of gauntlets that found them into the 7th Division.

Having met Katsu in the academy she grew quite attached to him in her own distant way, but soon after they graduated she lost touch with him until one day. Not very long after her brother was killed his murderer appeared before her, the very man she graduated and became a Shinigami with, from then on she swore revenge against Katsu in her brothers name.

NPC - Kaito Shinzato

Name: Kaito Shinzato

Age: 24 (130 years in Soul Society)

Physical Appearance: A decent height of 5' 11" he is slender if not wirey, what he lacks in muscle mass he makes up for with stamina. Short blonde hair with a few bangs that hang over his forehead, his eyes a soft shade of blue.

Persona: Very outgoing to the point of being overly loud, his hyper fun-loving nature could be viewed as annoying at times. Some could view him as a lecher but he claims otherwise, though he may not act it he is very competative and is far from a slacker.

Biography: Having died while still in his college years it took him a few more years to get sent to SS, while it took him a lot of hard work and some fancy words he was able to make it into the Academy.

Having met Hideyo and Katsu he had found himself a small group to call friends, though him and Katsu always had a deep down rivalry with one another.

Upon graduating from the Academy Kaito found himself just wondering around Seireitei, picking random fights and spending his time training.

Zanpakutou Description: The most basic of blades, the standard Katana with a red hilt wrap. The tsuba squared and a simple solid piece of polished steel.

Description: A simple and easy to use kidou. The user sends out a thin, sonic blade of kidou energy. The blade is only about 2-3 inches thick, and about 2-3 meters tall. Upon impact, the blade cuts rather than explodes. It is said that back in the older days, this spell was the basic moved used by shinigami to split hollow masks when zanpaku were not yet created.

Incantation: Grim Scythe, slice through the beast's sin. Bleed the flesh and cleanse the soul. Hadou #23, Reaper

Cosmos Summit - Hadou #19, 95 Kidou

Description: Summons large pedestals made of stone from the ground.

Requirements: About 4 meters. Source of any rock-type substances.

Incantation: Poseidon, almighty over Earth. Land to sea, shockwaves, immense destruction. To the ends of the land, to the grounds of the Seven Seas! Rise and affront to one's toll! Hadou #19, Cosmos Summit!

Byakurai -- Hadou #4, 25 Kidou

Description: A blasting spell, intended to pierce an opponent like a bullet. Though it is a simple Kidou for beginners, on higher levels the attack is extremely effective in melee situations of face offs.
