Name: Kuga (Family/Last Name) Apashi (Given/First Name)
Gender: Female
Age: 8 in the afterlife (Appears/Died at age 15)
Persona: Apashi's natural feelings tend to lean toward being apathetic both in life and now afterlife. On occasion she will have outbursts of intense emotions, however for the most part she locks up her emotions in a steel box that she apparently lost the key for. She is not lazy, but her lack of motivation and apathetic nature can give the impression of being so, as she finds most things in life to be troublesome and annoying to have to do. Being quite young in the afterlife she still remembers much of her living life.
In the presence of others Apashi tends to be slightly distanced and quiet, although she tries her best to be cordial. She has a propensity of having strange, confused looks on her faces from other's actions. Apashi gets embarrassed easily by many things, especially very friendly sorts of people and actions, although she greatly values her friends. Deep down she does have a kind heart although it is frequently hidden from others view. She looks toward being a Shinigami now for motivation which has given her some goals, but still she is often seen during days and nights looking up at the sky wondering what her real purpose is.
One of her greatest strengths and weaknesses at the same time is that when she puts her mind to something, it is very hard to make her waver. This is both an asset when her determination can push her to insane heights. But it can also be to her detriment when she refuses to accept other ways of thinking.
Physical Stature: Apashi stands at 175 cm and approximately 59 kg, with dark brown eyes. Her eyes tend to be unexpressive, revealing her disinterest in most things. Apashi sports long lustrious black hair that is either brushed neatly to the sides where it frames her face, or flows down to about her mid back, although quite frequently strands of her hair will fall out of place. She is well above average height for a girl of her age, with a slim, lean body that was still developing physically when she died.

Zanpakutou: Apashi's Zanpakutou is a very large and heavy-looking blade that looks too large even for the tall girl. The sword itself in its sealed form appears to be nearly as tall as her, with a wide blade. She no longer uses a cumbersome sheath to hold the large Zanpakutou; Instead it is kept in a series of heavy and thick cloth bandages that combine into a make-shift halter. Despite its large size Apashi handles the Zanpakutou with surprising ease.

Biography: "Boring."
That would sum up Apashi's life as a child, at least through her own eyes. She grew up in a middle-class leaning toward well off Family in Japan. She had happy moments like most children, however for the most part her eyes always seem to reflect the apathetic attitude she had toward life. Perhaps it was her lack of a goal in life, perhaps it was everything had more or less fallen in place for her to not stand out, or perhaps it was simply her nature.
Upon her fifteenth birthday, as she waved goodbye to the friends that had thrown her a party, she headed home. It was a fairly quiet night with few people or cars moving about. As she was about to cross the last street going home though she turned, and for just an instant she saw something white flash before her eyes. And then the next instant before she knew it, she stood at the sidewalk once more, feeling strange. She looked down at her hands confused, and then down to the street right in front of the sidewalk, when her eyes widened in shock as she saw her own body lay on the street. She turned to see a car speeding off, and in that instant Apashi felt her first real emotions of her life. She screamed for what seemed an eternity, before sprinting towards her home with tears streaming down her face, her eyes closed in disbelief, trying to shut out what she was seeing. Suddenly, a young woman, dressed in dark strange looking robes appeared before her. The woman said one word, before striking her through the chest with a sword, and then a moment later something hit her on the head before feeling the world become a surreal blur.
When Apashi became conscious again, all she remembered was being in some place that resembled a late feudal era Japan. A place she learned was Soul Society. She was taken into a family unit, with people who would treat her as their daughter for the next four years. She learned of the black robed people known as Shinigami. She didn't know what to think of them, her one encounter turning out quite strange, but as she learned more, it seemed they were good people, and she became more and more interested in becoming one. After four years of living with her family unit she left them, waving once more like she had before, and headed toward the new Shinigami Academy, having her first goal.
The girl's path to becoming a Shinigami was not without obstacles. Apashi very nearly failed to be allowed into the academy at all, had numerous defeats during a loose rivalry with Yukiko Murray and an incident near the end of her tenure in the Academy with deceased academy student Haruka Kanzaki.
After becoming an official member of the Gotei 13 in the 11th division, Apashi encountered the hollow Stonefist who at the time was attacking a living girl and attempting to devour her spirit. That girl was Kuga Mai, Apashi's younger sister by eight years who was now 'older' than Apashi! Unfortunately, the hollow would eventually evade Apashi's grasp and escape, but Apashi was content with saving the life of her sister.
Apashi would continue her duties as a member of the Gotei 13 including fighting and defeating several hollows, including a joint victory with her semi-rival and friend Yukiko Murray (that was preceded by the two's swords crossing against each other once more). Apashi's most recent actions on behalf of the Gotei was as a line of defense in the Lunar Crush Mission versus the counterattack by the Red Moon forces. Unfortunately during the encounter she was nearly fatally wounded by a Red Moon member admist confusion and remained in a comatose state for several weeks.
