Name: クズリ 美夜 Kuzuri Miya
Contact Info: AIM – Thanatyr 19
Age: 329, looks appears to be in her mid twenties.
Physical Stature: At first glance, the most obvious thing about Miya is hidden from view under a purple scarf that she always wears. Beneath the fabric is a wicked scar across her throat, a wound from before she arrived in Seireitei. Should she not wear her scarf, her hazel eyes stare down anyone who would likely not be able to help but gape at her scar. Her black hair is normally tied in a loose pony tail to her back, to keep hair from her eyes as she goes about her duties. Even at 5’8”, her build was honed in prison with toned muscles hiding beneath her hakama.
Persona: Originally careful and methodical, Miya had been at home in the Twelfth Division. While there she and her old classmates developed a sign language that she uses to mock those who did not understand it, always behind a beguiling smile. Her friends and family will always come first to her, even before her duty to the Gotei 13. Among her family she is quite cheerful and happy, yet strangers may find her cold or distant. Should her family not be involved in a matter, she will always rule sternly in favor of the rules of the Gotei in her duties.
Biography: Miya arrived in Rukongai as a child with a very specific detriment. Her torn vocal cords from an injury sustained while still alive on earth made asking others for help all but impossible. After surviving a gruelling childhood, she was accepted into the academy where she thrived off the physical tests. Her instructors understood that she could never use kidou, so she was only taught the bare theory of how it was supposed to work. Even that washed over her. By the time Miya graduated her friends had given her the nickname Kuzuri, for how unrelenting a sparring partner she was. Within a few years Miya married one of her academy friends, Takumi. Although he was in the Fourth Division and she was in the Twelfth, they prospered.
Their daughter Kasumi was born two hundred and ten years ago, and she took on her father’s blue eyes. Ten years after Kasumi was born, the couple had a run in with the local drunk which broke out into a fight taking the life of her husband.
Miya had been outside, waiting for Takumi to come home at that time. She had not remember exactly what occurred next, but the Matsouka family found one of their members dead and hanging outside their home with the word “Murderer” scrawled in his blood on the wall adjacent. During Miya’s trial, due to some ties the Matsouka family had with members of the Seventh Division, the judges ruled that she was to spend her entire sentence within the bowels of the Hachinetsu Jigoku. Upon her release, she was admitted into the Third Division.
Division / Seat: Third Division, unseated.
Zanpakutou: Her sword has the saya made of a rich brown wood, inscribed with dark silver vines and flowers that almost look like they are stemming from the closed flower tsuba. Violet cloth, similar in color to the scarf she wears, wraps the tsuka. Finally the Kashira of her Zanpakutou has the appearance of woven vines with a single leaf along the center. Similar motifs of vines stretch along the spine of the sword's sixty centimeter length.
Mask: Unknown appearance at this time.
