Family Name: Hiyowa
Given Name: Shinshi

Age: 19

Race: Shinigami

Division and Seat: Ryoka

Appearance: A common looking teenager, Shinshi differs from most only in his unusual abilities. Silky, ebony hair clings close to his head, its medium length not traveling far beyond the nape of his neck. His bangs part in the middle, hanging just above a pair of warmth-filled chocolate brown eyes. Like most men of asian decent, Shinshi is a thin boy who stands just below 5'6" in terms of height, with no real visible muscles. His look is often said to match his pleasant demeanor in terms of openness.

Shinshi utterly refuses to wear the traditional Shinigami robes, claiming that they lack taste and style. Instead, he has taken to wearing the seifuku of his former school as his garb; navy blue pants are worn with a simple black belt and a silver buckle. Coupled with a simple white collared shirt and a navy blazer, as well as a pair of black formal shoes, and his day to day garb is complete. When fighting, the seifuku is modified by completely disregarding the blazer and unbuttoning the top two buttons on the collared shirt.

~" Ichiyou umidase, Tenbin!" ~

" Bring forth balance, steel yard!"

Form

Following the utilization of Tenbin's liberation phrase, the wakizashi grows a tremendous amount. With a blade of just over 1 meter in length, 103 centimeters or 3.39 shaku, the former shoto is classified as an ō-dachi. Plain in make and style, the tsuka is wrapped with a sky blue tsuka-maki while coiling around that is a navy blue tsuka-ito. The tsuba can be considered the most unusual feature of the blade; completely circular in shape, it takes the form of a yin-yang. The blade itself is wholly unspectacular, being of the extremely common shinogi-zuruki design. To match with this, the hamon is a simple straight line, typically indicative of a hastily or carelessly crafted weapon. The blade itself is silver in coloration, though it has an unusual sheen to it.

Abilities

[ Ekitaikinzoku ]
液体金属
" Liquid Metal"

Tenbin's ability is one of few that directly affect the form of the weapon; as it's name indicates, Ekitaikinzoku transforms the steel from which the blade is made of into a liquid metal. This metal is unique in that it can still maintain a sharp edge and solid form, as well as the fact that it is perfectly cool to the touch. The metal, however, can be shaped by Shinshi's will, allowing for him to manipulate it and change the shape of the zanpakutou in the heat of battle. The shape of the weapon is not limited to existing weapons; no, the only thing required is a degree of imagination. Simply to manipulate the form requires that Shinshi pay 1% of his Reiatsu per turn. However, there are certain limitations to the manipulation of the original steel; first, the weapon cannot stretch to more than twice its original length or width with the metal available. Secondly, the thickness may never be increased or reduced by more than a factor of three. Third, the metal must stay in a single piece; it cannot separate into individual forms. The final limitation is that the shape may not be changed more than twice in a row without returning to the original form, nor may it stay in any additional shape for more than two RP rounds before returning to normal.

These limitations, however, only apply to the original metal of Tenbin; it is entirely possible for additional liquid steel to be created which can override these commands. Because it is creation, as opposed to manipulation of what is already there, the cost to create such metal is an additional burden. Roughly, it requires 3% of his Reiatsu to forge a sword of similar shape and size to the original; 1% is required for something such as a shoto, while something on the scale of a naginata would require 5%.
