Upon graduation from the academy, Kago was a wide eyed, idealistic shinigami who only desired to be great and do incredible deeds for the world of the living. Always courteous and respectful to those around him, he saw the world for all the righteousness that was in it and that good could be done for it. Unfortunately, the world of a shinigami and warrior was not a flowery path for the youth.

The road his life traveled brought him much despair and hardship. Despite the reality of the world smacking him in the face, Kago continued to hold strongly onto his dream for a better world. Knowing that his dream cannot come to life without action, Kago is in a constant state of motion. Whether it is honing his skills, learning and developing new ideas for tactics, or researching more about his adversaries, he is constantly on the move.

Due to his ideals, Kago is known as kind and courteous person, even though he often finds himself referring to individuals by their first names. He strongly believes in the unity principle: that the Gotei is only as strong as its weakest link. Instead of belittling and condemning them, he continously strives to train and improve those around him, in an effort to usher in an age of prosperity that the Gotei once knew.

For this reason, he also views people who disrespect for their comrades as trash and does not show them any level of respect.

Standing at 5'11" and weighing 175 pounds, Kago appears no taller than any average male. The shinigami keeps his light brown hair cut just shy of his shoulders and allows it to grow in its own natural direction (slightly outward). His face is elongated and kept clean shaven. He has piercing emerald eyes, which have been known to soothe the pure hearted and to strike fear into the immoral.

While wearing his shinigami attire, he appears to be slender; however, underneath his clothes lies a muscularly built body. His body contains minimal scars due to his expert swordfighting. Although the balanced shinigami believes that the body is perfect in its untainted form, he has the Japanese symbol Gi (rectitude) tattooed on the back of his left hand. This symbol serves as a reminder to take the righteous path, even when it is the most difficult one. Instead of the traditional white sash as a belt, Kago wears a silver sash tied in a elegant, yet simple knot.


Biography:
Appearing in Rukongai, the lost and confused Kago was forced to wander the streets alone. Many years later, he was taken in by an older man named Yujo after collapsing from hunger. The old man recognized this as a sign of one with a strong reiatsu signature and began instructing him on the ways of the sword and philosophies of the world. Once the emerald eyed youth was prepared for the hardships that came with being a shinigami, Yujo helped him apply for the academy.

During his time in the academy, Kago made friends with two other students, Yamada Rika and Saruwatari Takumi. Training and fighting alongside them create strong bonds between the trio, bonds that could not be broken in his mind.

After graduating from the academy, he was immediately welcomed into the thirteenth division of the Gotei. There he made many strong bonds with his fellow division members. Regrettably, his entrance was quickly followed by orders to prepare for war. Many men lost their lives, leaving a vacancy in the Gotei's leadership. Acknowledging this gap, he applied for the First Division and was accepted after a grueling test.

Immediately after joining, Kago encountered one of the most mentally scarring events of his personal life: the death of his close friend Rika at the hands of Naitou Shigure and Saruwatari Takumi. Although he was able to capture and sever the soul sleep of Shigure, Takumi remained at large.

During his time with the First Division, Kago trained by various legendary warriors of the Gotei: Sayis Inuzuri, Gabriel Faust XIII, Moira Murray, Louhi Kaiho, Leon Valiente Simeon , Katsuji Ishin, Ritoru Furousha, and Arcadian Kyuu. Putting to use the lessons learned from all his training, he battled alongside the Soutaichou of time, Gabriel Faust XIII, and Louhi Kaiho against Seisatsu Kuragari in Hueco Mundo. Shortly after they ended the threat, Faust and Louhi lost their lives protecting the entire Soul Society.

Still reeling from the numerous losses of the war, Kago was summoned by the head of the Takimoto household, Akio, to protect his daughter Sophia. In course of his duty, he stumbled across the knowledge that Katsuo, Akio's brother, was poisoning Sophia's younger brother Liam in order to usurp the title of head of the Takimoto clan from Akio. Preventing Katsuo from poisioning Sophia, Kago revealed the perpetrator and forced him from the grounds. Throughout the endeavor, he also grew closer to Sophia and finally wed her in a small, intimate ceremony after saving the Takimoto bloodline.

His new life as a Takimoto was short lived as he was appointed Captain of the Twelfth division and forced to lead his division into war on Earth. While performing his duties, Kago was captured by his old ally Takumi Saruwatari, Katsuo Takimoto, and a third, unknown assailant and held captive while his comrades in arms risked their lives. Due to his disappearance, the Gotei deemed his actions as a dereliction of duty and stripped him from his rank as captain.

In hopes to restore his honor, Kago asked Anenokoji Senesati to join the Eighth Divison and was appointed vice-captain shortly after joining. Assuming his role of vice-captain, he trained with Senesati to learn the ways of the spellsword and improve his weak kidou abilities. During this training period, chaod errupted on several fronts: Hueco Mundo, the Central Forty-Six's Chambers, and Tokyo. Seeing how the first two locations had shinigami reinforcements, the nobleman rushed to defend the city. The vice-captain of the tenth Lilith Maikeru arrived with him and their combined power allowed them to slow the enemy's advance; however, much of the city was destroyed and the Vizard left on his own, leaving a warning for all shinigami to leave the realm of the living alone.

Kenkyouka

[Kenkyouka] - "Sword Empowerment"

Utilizing their own kidou energy, the practitioner has the ability to cast a kidou spell onto their blade. Once the blade comes in contact with the opponent, the spell will automatically activate. Whatever damage or effects are done by sword and spell, will be unleashed on to the opponent. With continuous use of the technique, the caster will gain the ability to have two spells imprinted on their blade at one time, once the user gains 5k kidou or zanjutsu stat.



Jin'ishi


[Jin'ishi] - "Bladed Will”

Zanjutsu and kidou are both essential to achieve victory in the Eighth Division. As such, one must learn to adapt their minds and take advantage of this new found strength. With Bladed Will, the practitioner has learned to augment their fighting abilities. By paying 10% base reiatsu, the user of this tech imbues their mind, body, and sword with power to understand, and at times, fight on par with a once overwhelming opponent. This change in combat expresses itself as a direct transfer of 50% of one's base kidou stat to their zanjutsu. The user can maintain the energy for only three rounds. This skill is a one time use per battle.



Hagane no Kizuna


[Hagane no Kizuna] - "Bond of Steel”

The user of this tech has created a bond between their kidou and their zanpakutou, allowing the sword to store and augment a limited amount of kidou spells. This has the effect of granting the practitioner five additional kidou slots, at the start, and gaining one additional slot, per every 1000 Zanjutsu, to a max of ten slots. The zanpakutou must be in hand for the shinigami to have access to the spells. Even though kidou which are bonded to the zanpakutou itself are cast at its normal cost in reiatsu, the kidou threshold is reduced by half the spells cost, allowing the practitioner to cast the spells bonded to their sword more effectively than normal.

Kyousei Taikyou


[Kyousei Taikyou] - "Forced Ward"

Spell and Zanpakutou are one to a member of the Eighth. A practitioner of this technique will gain the ability to completely bypass the incantation of barrier based kidou. Furthermore, the user of this tech will also have the ability to augment any barrier by paying 10% reiatsu, to be included to the barrier's potency. The size and shape of the barrier may vary, depending on the amount of reiatsu placed into the spell.

- Reverse Slipstream [PM Slot]

Reverse Slipstream – Adapted from the technique that Ritoru introduced to the 12th division, Reverse Slipstream is a more of an individual attack maneuver compared to its team/movement-based cousin still housed within the division of assassins. If a target attempts a flash step or any other enhanced mode of travel, the user can enter their slipstream and travel at the same speed to the same relative location at a fraction of the cost. Instead of the user bringing people into their own wake, Reverse Slipstream allows the 3rd divisioner to force themselves into the reiatsu patterns of others by expending a percentage of their own reiatsu based on relative hohou stat. Free against those weaker, 1% against those of relative strength and 2% against those of at least 2 times higher.


- Reiatsu no Senpuku [PM Slot]

[ Reiatsu no Senpuku ] – Reiatsu Cloaking

The user of this technique is able to bend his reiatsu in unnatural directions enabling him through practice to bend his aura to mimic the ambient reiatsu in his immediate area, effectively dropping out of spiritual perception. With practice, the user of this technique can even distort in an area, allowing the user to blend in to his surroundings as if he weren’t there. Advanced users may even be able to hide others in their cloak or even distort light to appear as someone else.

Excessive movement, Shunpo, and release of Shikai will all break the active camouflage, but only Shikai can break the reiatsu suppression. As reiatsu is a natural part of the shinigami’s being, bending and twisting it into unnatural shapes and forcing it to emit natural properties is extremely unnatural. Doing so can be excruciatingly painful at first until the user develops "reaitsu flexibility.”

Incorporating the themes of his zanpakuto, Sayis Inuzuri was able to develop a fighting style blending the disciplines of zanjutsu and kidou. The practitioner coats the blade in a layer of kidou energy. Capable of sharpening the user's strikes, this kidou energy can also extend into the air, expressed as writing and symbols following the arc of the blade.

This feat gives access to Togishi kidou. Those with the feat may submit additional attacks as Kidou.

Zanpakutou Spirit

Name: Hayabusa (Formerly known as Masurao)

Manifestation: Hayabusa takes the form of a male, peregrine falcon.

Sealed Form: Kago’s zanpakutou resembles a traditional katana except that it measures 72 centimeters in length. The tsuba is midnight black and the tsuka is golden. Etched into the ridge of the tsuba is the phrase ‘True strength comes from the wielder, not the weapon’, written in kanji.

Shikai

Name: Tokuige Hayabusa (Proud Falcon)

Shikai Form:

Upon releasing shikai, the zanpakutou emits a radiant, golden light and conforms to the shape of a scimitar. The hilt and guard retain their sealed form’s colors, with the blade of the scimitar measuring 1 meter.

Ability: Ikou Kyuushuu (Power Absorption)

Paying 5% of his reiatsu, Kago can absorb any reiatsu based projectile attack (cero, gintou, kidou, kai, arrow, etc.) that comes into contact with his zanpakutou. At any later point, he can opt to pay an additional 5% of his reitasu and infuse it into the blade to fire the attack back at the enemy valued at the 5% plus the remaining reiatsu from the absorption.

Note: The absorption fails if the attack in question is greater than 1.5 times amount of reiatsu used for this skill.

Ability: Ichibou (Unbroken View)

Paying 500 rei, a reiatsu field with a radius of 15m surrounds Kago. The field is composed of tiny particles only visible to Kago. If an enemy is within the area, the particles will attach to the opponent and Kago can see them, regardless of any type of concealment, even if his eyes are closed or clouded. This effect lasts for 3 turns before the cost must be paid again.




Bankai

Name: Hayabusa no Koukuu Yuusei (Falcon Air Superiority)

Bankai Form:

Upon uttering the word bankai, Kago is encapsulated in a cocoon of golden light, emanating from the scimitar. After a brief moment, the sphere breaks down into individual beams of light that slowly return to the zanpakutou.

After the brightness fades, Kago can be seen wielding an enlarged form of his shikai. The blade has extended to 2.5 meters in length and just shy of 1 meter in width; the guard has decreased slightly but retained the same colors from its sealed and shikai forms. Extending from the guard, golden flames flow down the length of the blade, shaping into the form of a falcon near the tip.

Ability: Yamamori (Guardian of the Mountain)

Upon uttering Bankai, Kago pays 10% reiatsu to create a translucent, aura dome in a radius of 30m around him, engulfing the battlefield. Any time an opponent uses a reiatsu based projectile within the dome, a pocket of golden reiatsu in the shape of a falcon dives down from it, absorbs the attack, and captures it. Once this occurs, the reiatsu falcon transforms in a golden reiatsu sword, assuming the form of Kago’s bankai zanpakutou. The sword then impales the ground and remains there until it is used or destroyed. This continues until the threshold of the dome is depleted. Kago may then choose to repay the cost to reinitialize the dome.

Although the swords may be drawn from the ground by an enemy, they may not use the ability trapped within it and the sword will disappate after initial strike.

Note: The dome moves with Kago.

Attack: Hara Iyase (Retailiation)

At any time, Kago may take up a reiatsu blade containing an absorbed ability and use it. With a single swing of the blade, the projectile attack absorbed by the blade can be sent back at the enemy for its original cost. Kago may choose to pay the cost from either his own reiatsu, the barrier, or a combination of the two. If the ability in question has a percentile cost, its value is the calculated as if Kago himself initiated the attack.

If Kago should strike the opponent with the blade, the contained attack is automatically unleashed upon the enemy. Regardless of Kago’s proximity to the enemy, all damage and effects of the contained attack are focused solely upon the enemy.

Attack: Koukuukougeki (Air Strike)

At any point after the blade’s creation, Kago can choose to detonate it for the contained attacks original cost, creating a reiatsu blast with 4m radius. If the attack is based on a percentage, the cost/damage is calculated off of Kago’s reiatsu, not his opponent’s. Similar to Hara Iyase, Kago may choose to pay the cost from either his own reiatsu, the barrier, or a combination of the two.

Attack: Ikkatsu (Cry in a Thundering Voice)

At the cost of the Yamamori's remaining threshold, Kago can condense the barrier around his opponent and force it to explode. The resulting blast’s damage is equivalent to the remaining threshold of the dome ability. Due to the nature of this attack, Yamamori will disappear and Kago must repay the costs to create a new dome.

General Techs

[ Gigaihyou ] - "Righteous Corpse Possession"
An important survival skill taught to all Shinigami, which entails the utilization, maintenance, and protocols concerning Gigai. This also includes the usage of all developed tools that accompany the use of a Gigai, such as the Gikongan.

Requirements: None

[ Konsou ] - "Soul Burial"
One of the Shinigami's inherent skills. Konsou entails the liberation of a Plus soul by stamping the kashira of the Zanpakutou upon his/her/its forehead, whereby the said Plus soul will be safely transported to Soul Society.

Requirements: None

[ Reiatsu Noukan ] - "Spiritual Pressure Perception"
The heightened ability of a Shinigami to sense Reiatsu. Its potency and maximum range grows as the user's Shinigami level rises, and may become advanced enough that he or she may be able to single out the signature of a single entity within range. A target may choose to mask their signature, making their exact location difficult to ascertain. However, the presence of a strong fighter in combat is unmistakable.

The user may only precisely identify targets up to a range determined by their Kidou stat. Until that point, the tracking merely gives a general area.

[ Reiraku Takan ] - "Spiritual Thread, Deep Perception"
A special sensory skill reserved only for Shinigami whose capabilities have matured markedly. Reiraku Takan allows the Shinigami to deeply focus upon the spiritual signatures of all surrounding entities within a certain area and manually compress them all into different-colored "threads." The maximum range of this ability is the same as the Shinigami's highest Reiatsu Noukan range. This technique only identifies race, unless the target is within Reiatsu Noukan's range for precision.

Colors are as follows:

White : Normal soul, Plus soul, Quincy
Red : Shinigami, Unmasked Vizard
Black : Hollow
Dark Red : Arrancar, Masked Vizard

Requirements: 3,000 reiatsu

[ Chikaihou Shinou ] - "Earthly Law Mastership"
Being dead is far different than living, as anyone in Soul Society can attest to, and one can sometimes bypass the physical laws of movement that one is normally accustomed to. True understanding as to what one can and cannot get away with is gained through experience.

This technique allows the user to condense reiatsu around their body or under their feet in the living world. This enables the user to slow their falls, extend their jumps, or even to stand in the open air. Shunpo cannot be used mid-air.

Requirements: 2,000 Reiatsu

[ Reiki ] - "Spiritual Healing"
The most basic form of healing available to Shinigami. This technique is simply a method of flooding injuries with Reiatsu directed through the hands, stimulating the regeneration and repair of damaged tissue. While it is quite effective for small scratches and cuts, healing more serious wounds in this manner is extremely draining and time consuming. Cannot be used in battle and is mainly used to stabilize wounds until more serious healing can be applied.

Requirements: 1,000 Reiatsu

[ Fuubi ] - "Overpower"
When a shinigami is restrained or bound and has been left with no other alternative, they can try to force their way out through sheer strength and raw reiatsu. This is dangerous for the user's soul, particularly against the demon arts. Such an effort requires at least 1.5x the cost of the restraint and causes severe pain to the user.

Requirements: 1,000 Reiatsu

[ Senkaimon Koshutsu ] - "World-piercing Gate Summoning"
The skill of opening, safely traversing through, and closing the Senkaimon allows the user to travel between Seireitei and the Living Realm. This entails drawing one's Zanpakutou, contracting it with an existing Senkaimon in Seireitei, and thrusting the weapon slowly through the air. A spatial distortion will appear where the Zanpakutou is "inserted," whereby the Shinigami will rotate the weapon like a key, hence opening up the Senkaimon. Note that in most circumstances, a personal Jigokuchou is required to safely travel through the Dangai. While the gates may appear anywhere in the living world as the user wishes, the gates within Seireitei are limited to specific fixed locations.

Requirements: 5th Seat or Higher

[ Shirei Hatsuri ] - "Command Bypass"
After achieving Ban Kai, the release phrase for Shikai is no longer necessary. This Technique allows the user to simply release his or her Shikai instantaneously through a higher bond achieved with his/her Zanpakuto.

Requirements: Bankai


Zanjutsu Techniques

Zanjutsu is the Shinigami discipline of training to fight with the zanpakuto and other weapons.

Zanjutsu applies to the user's strength, accuracy, and speed with their weapons. The main advantage of this style is a readiness to accommodate various ranges and battlefield situations.

Against a barrier or similar numbered defense, a zanpakuto's normal strikes may deal 10% of the user's Zanjutsu stat as damage per round.



[ Ittouryoudan ] - "Cutting In Two With One Stroke"
A skilled swordsman holds no fear in the face of his enemy's attacks and may stand his ground against them. In this way, the swordsman can channel his spirit into his sword and slice straight through flames, water, or even raw energy. This splits the attack around the user.

Only possible against attacks up to twice the cost of Ittouryoudan, this technique costs 250 reiatsu to use.

Requirements: 1,000 Zanjutsu

[ Ijou Ittouryoudan ] - "Exceeding Cutting In Two With One Stroke"
With greater mastery comes greater prowess. These Zanjutsu specialists are able to bring their true skill to bear when facing off against their enemies' attacks. Rather than merely splitting an attack, the user delivers a series of rapid attacks that utterly destroy the enemy's attack.

Usable against techniques and abilities up to twice the cost of Ijou Ittouryoudan, this technique costs 750 reiatsu to use.

Requirements: 3,000 Zanjutsu

[ Buzei ] - "Outnumbered"
...but not out-manned. A difficult and risky maneuver, the practitioner accelerates their swing in order to deliver an attack on all sides. This allows the user to attack or defend against all attackers within range at half of their usual skill.

This maneuver costs 2,000 reiatsu and may leave the user tired, unable to perform similar techniques for two rounds.

Requirements: 5,000 Zanjutsu

[ Kawasu ] - "To Turn Aside"
There are some attacks which cannot be stopped, and a master of his weapon recognizes that fact. However, that does not mean that he must submit to those attacks. By hardening his swordsman's spirit, the practitioner of this technique can parry a powerful blast, deflecting it away from himself and his allies.

This technique costs 3,000 reiatsu and only affects attacks up to twice as strong.

Requirements: 7,000 Zanjutsu

[ Senpuu ] - "Whirlwind"
Mastery of fighting against the odds allows a Zanjutsu specialist to fight back at full strength, even when surrounded. Still risky and difficult, Senpuu allows the user to perform an omni-directional attack against every target within range, attacking and defending with the full skill of their Zanjutsu.

This costs 5,000 reiatsu and will leave the user wearied and unable to perform similar techniques for three rounds.

Requirements: 9,000 Zanjutsu

[ Ei Wo Toru ] - "To Take Up a Weapon"
To wield a zanpakuto in combat, to swing a blade with surety, requires conviction and dedication. Every swordsman has his purpose, whether it's for the sake of protecting others, proving his prowess to everyone, or sharing his personal undeniable truth. When there comes a moment when that truth, that purpose, the swordsman's very life is threatened... that is when his skill fully comes to bear.

Ei Wo Toru is the ultimate expression of the practitioner's zanjutsu, a single, nearly instantaneous counter-strike surpassing godlike speed. Used only for countering a direct threat, rather than amplifying the user's skill, strength, or damage, Ei Wo Toru is the ability to make a single strike against the odds. This move costs 10,000 reiatsu and allows the user to pull off otherwise impossible speed to counter. Attacks comparable to the user's Zanjutsu will practically stand still.

The user's Zanjutsu is increased by 10,000 for speed only (not strength) for one strike.

Requirements: 10,000 Zanjutsu


Hakuda Techniques

Hakuda is the Shinigami discipline of hand-to-hand fighting and using the entire body as a weapon.

Hakuda determines the user's power, attacking speed, and reflexes. It excels at taking the fight in close and hard and coming out alive.

Against a barrier or similar numbered defense, normal unarmed or Hakuda-weapon strikes may deal 10% of the user's Hakuda stat as damage per round.



Hohou Techniques

Hohou is the Shinigami discipline of footwork and movement.

Hohou applies not just to speed, but to maneuvering terrain, which is important to the other disciplines. It is essential for maintaining the best range and for getting into position for attacks.

[ Shunpo ] - "Flash Step"
A commonly taught skill for the Shinigami. Though it may be learned at an early level, mastering the technique is another story entirely. The initial level of shunpo is a burst of speed in a single, straight direction. As the user's skill in Hohou grows, they may learn more advanced techniques and maneuvers.

A basic flash-step costs 200 reiatsu, and can cover up to 15m. The user bursts in one direction at near-blinding speed, but is unable to attack or turn. The speed of the step is determined by the user's Hohou, and only those with at least 50% of the user's Hohou can visually keep up with the movement. If the user's hohou is comparable to an enemy's attacking stat, then they stand a good chance of being able to dodge with a shunpo.

Flash-steps are only usable once per turn, with an additional use per turn gained for every 5,000 Hohou.

Requirements: 1,000 Hohou

[ Shunpo Senmon ] - "Flash Step Expertise"
The practitioner has grown familiar with the rush of motion and has learned how to maneuver during it. The user cannot reverse their direction, but they have some control over turning and positioning themselves strategically, though their turns cannot be greater than 60 degrees.

Requirements: 2,500 Hohou

[ Senka ] - "Flash Blossom"
With their growing mastery of Shunpo, the user is now able to deliver a blindingly fast attack. In the middle of a flash-step, the practitioner may deliver a single melee attack to a target in their path. The difference between the user's Hohou and the target's movement stat is added into the attacking stat, up to +50% of the attacking stat, no less than base skill (even if the target's speed is higher).

This ability takes the place of two normal Shunpo uses and costs 500 reiatsu.

Requirements: 5,000 Hohou

Kidou Techniques

Kidou is the Shinigami discipline and study of the demon arts.

Kidou determines what spells the user may know, as well as how quickly a user can complete an incantation and how fast the spell takes effect. Kidou's power is in its sheer versatility and so it falls under the most restrictions (kidou slots, higher costs).

[ Eishouhaki ] - "Revocation of the Recited Poem"
Allows the user to bypass of the chanting of a Kidou spell and simply state the name. However, this also results in a drop in the efficacy of the bypassed Kidou. A user can only bypass an incantation if their Kidou stat is at least twice the required cost of a spell, and a bypassed spell will only be half as effective as a properly-incanted one, regardless of prowess.

Requirements: 1,000 Kidou


[ Jumon Kaiki ]
- "Spell Totality"
Through devoted study, a shinigami can gain greater control over a spell. This allows them to bypass the incantation with greater success.

By equipping a spell twice, it's bypassed effectiveness increases by 25%. Spells may be equipped up to three times, but cannot exceed 100% bypassed.

Requirements: 2,000 Kidou

[ Koujutsu Eishou ] - "Trailing Incantation"
A very skilled kidou practitioner may use this technique to strengthen a bypassed spell after it has been cast. The user first skips the incantation using Eishouhaki, in order to get a quick effect, and then speaks the incantation aloud afterward in order to strengthen it. Of limited use for instant or projectile attacks, this is mainly used to strengthen barriers and persistent effects.

Requirements: 5,000 Kidou

Team Techniques

[ Touitsu Sensen ] – "United Front"
In battle, two characters who have spent much time with one another can complement one another's fighting style. They are able to fight better in tandem than alone, receiving a boost to all stats when attacking (except Reiatsu and Connection).

When fighting near each other, skilled allies can easily swap positions to better press their advantage. Such a Bait and Switch will allow the users to instantly change places with a partner within ten feet, once per round. Uses are limited by the pairs, not individuals.

Requirements: At least 20,000 words with written with another player.

Persona: Hard working, morally upright person. Fast, yet strong. Big brother personality with a sometimes condescending tone. Believes he can take on the world. Doesn’t back down easily.

Biography: Appeared in the streets of Rukongai randomly one day. In his past life, he was some sort of nobility so he had everything always given to him. That deserving personality was brought over with him into the next life.

He spent most of his life living in the third district of western Rukongai. Takumi was taken in by a wealthy type of family there. Shortly before entering the academy, his entire family was murdered.

Joined the academy and excelled rather quickly based on raw talent. Graduated two years early. Due to his defensive personality, he joined the 8th division. Assisted with defense of SS from SQN and taking down the generator against SQN and hollow forces (summer and winter PMs).

After the death of Orpheus, he transferred to the third division and currently resides there.

Appearance: Heiji is thin, yet extremely muscular warrior. His appearance is less bulky, but more cut. When he trains shirtless, his ribs would be seen if not for a small layer of muscular tissue covering it. His eyes have a reddish brown tint to them and his whitish blonde hair is spiked straight up. His face is clean shaven except for a thin, half goatee that traces the outskirts of his chin.

Persona: The simplest way of explaining Asano is the word direct. He does not beat around the bush; if there is something bothering him or if he is asked a question, he tells you what he believes without the typical sugar coating.

In addition, Asano is a very introverted person. He will silently sit back and judge people based on his first reaction. But do not think that he will take insults or rude remarks lying down; he will quickly come back at you, finding your weak points and attacking them without a second thought.


Biography: Not much is known about Asano before he entered the academy, seeing as he only speaks when spoken to. Moreover, he never mentions his past only due to the fact that no one has cared to ask. Because of this, various rumors have spread about it: some say he came from the furthest, nastiest districts of Rukongai; others state that he used to be an experiment of the ninth division. Until this day, none of those rumors have been verified.

After entering the academy, Asano studied for the usual seven years before he graduated. Due to his first striking and direct nature, he found a home in the third division, where he currently resides.
