[Name]:
Tenshirou (Assumed name, actual name unknown)
天死郎
Written with "Heaven" "Death" and "Boy" kanji characters.

[Surname]:
Hisame (Tenshirou doesn't use it too often)
火雨
Written with "Fire" and "Rain" kanji characters.

[Age]:
Appears to be sixteen. He's unsure of his actual age but says he's twenty four as his only memories currently are of the five years of wandering Rukongai and the three years being in Seireitai

[Birthdate]:
- December 10th (not actual birthdate)

[Handed]:
- Ambidextrous, however, favors fighting with his left when using a sword and favors punching with his right.

[Race]:
- Unknown assumed to be human, Japanese

[Division]:
9th Division, Captain

[Favorite Phrase]:
"Checkmate."

[Other Notes]:
- Because of time spent in the First Division, Tenshirou is one of few swordsman that wields two swords. Setsuna, his second doutanuki, is constantly by his side and Tenshirou is known by few to be very good with the two weapons in combat.

- As of volume 70, Tenshirou has become a master of disguise and escapist, able to not only change his appearance quickly, but also able to get out of the most complex of bindings. He can break into several types of locks yet excels in standard and electronic locks. In addition, during Tenshirou's brief stay on earth, he's also mastered several personal voices that allow him to change the pitch and tone of his voice without a device, able to sound like anyone he's heard at least once as well as quick change disguise. Lastly, because of his lessons on earth, he's also become a genius at slight of hand and diversionary tactics.

[Persona]:
- A very cheerful person, he seems to be able to brighten up the life of anyone he comes in contact with so long as their intentions are for the most part good. Except for that Shiroi fella, he hates his guts with a passion. Though for the most part a good natured and happy person, Tenshirou can display an incredible amount of cold malice given the right motivation. However, this rarely comes up and Tenshirou doesn't seem to think it's anything really bad as it is part of his personality. Since the departure of his captain and various other factors, for the most part Tenshirou comes off as lazy and violent towards certain individuals, unleashing pain upon people for apparently no reason; though in a sort of bi-polar turn about seems to be very polite and caring, which may confuse those who've seen these extremes of his personality. His eyes and hair antennae usually reflect his emotional state to an almost comedic effect and he appears deadpan in most of his reactions to the strange and surprising. During battle he's best seen as a verbal and strategic tactician as well as a strong voice of the Gotei's side of policies. Should someone say to the contrary and try to waver his faith, he merely replies, "I'm too dumb to understand all the politics, so let's just get this over with." He seems to take everything in stride and also finds amusement in the little things in life. He seems to find humor in just about everything, even as a body spontaneously explodes in front of him. It's probably because of his time spent with his former captain that he's like this, but it doesn't seem to hinder any of his previous abilities.

[Physical Structure]:
- Slim and lanky, Tenshirou's physical structure resembles that of a high school athlete, more akin to a track runner than anything else. Although he appears young and not as strong as some of the other shinigami, his body hides a monstrous strength. Even with his young looking appearance, his body has a criss cross of scars that appear to be sword wounds, though these were on his body long before he ever joined the Gotei 13. His hair is a slightly shorter than medium length series of spikes that cascade on top of his head and form his unique hairstyle. His hair is colored in a two tone blue between a basic blue color and cyan. Two hair antennae protrude off the top of his head, connected near the middle or back of his skull that flit about in this direction or that and do any number of strange things when Tenshirou is emotional. His face is slim with maroon eyes that also change color when displaying a particular emotion. His height is an average 180 cm while he weighs somewhere between 50 and 55 kg.

[Style of Clothing]:
- Though he originally wore (and still occasionally wears) the Shinigami shihakushou, Tenshirou has kept the black hakama, however now he wears a high collared, short sleeved black shirt that seems somewhat Chinese in origin. Instead of closing with buttons, buckles and straps line the front of the shirt and keep it closed. Bands around the edge of the sleeves are tightened below the biceps with a white strap on either arm. On the inside of the collar for his shirt, is the embroidered symbol of the August Echelon while his personal kamon (which also happens to be his division kamon) rests just below the collar on his back. He continues wearing the white sash while in this form with his zanpakutou worn at his right side and halfway down his thigh, held by two thin strings along the sash and the saya of his weapon, allowing him to draw on the weapon faster. A similar design set up is set for his second sword, Setsuna, which rests on his left side. Over his shoulders he's usually seen wearing Junichi's Haori which sports a high metal collar that appears to be sewn into the garment, protecting Tenshirou's neck. Over the haori he wears a pure white scarf that usually covers the bottom part of his face, making him appear shinobi like. The scarf itself has a somewhat distorting effect on the vision of those that view it as when Tenshirou moves, the scarf seems to take a life of its own, or stretches beyond it's usual perimeters. Tenshirou is also seen sporting a red wristband around his left wrist with a spade on its face.

[Brief Biography]:
A total unknown; his past is a haze and what he does remember is only from when he actually "woke up". Given the name Tenshirou from a young Shrine girl named Shion in Rukongai, his name is actually made up of various words she put together upon finding him. For the next five years, he lived quite a simple life of wandering through the areas of Rukongai and mapping out his existance with the Shrine girl.

Encouraged to join the academy when she and her family were facing tough times, he enlisted with the simple request that the shrine would be taken care of and all his benefits, like extra pay and most of his salary be placed in the care of Shion. Living a rather meager existance, he's still quite happy with how things are turning out, and waits patiently to graduate, not only to make his make-shift family proud but to do something with himself; perhaps to one day remember everything, no matter how painful or bitter it might be.

Having passed his division exam with no problems, he's been thrown into the First Division, much to his surprise and pleasure.
With many trials before him that include both personal and his professional life, Tenshirou has recently been through a whirlwind of emotion concerning his feelings for Charlette. While oblivious to the things happening around him, his inner struggle is proving to be tedious and perhaps maybe even more hectic than his waking life. Various entities are awakening within him, good and evil unable to be discerned. Currently, the only entity identified can only be referred to as 'the Other Tenshirou'. The only one, whom seems to know what is going on inside of Tenshirou currently, is his zanpakutou Tenjou Inji.

Transferred to the Ninth Division and invited on as a Vice Captain, Tenshirou was originally wary of accepting the offer, however after meeting the captain of the Division, decided to stay. Wrangling his old roommate from the Shinigami Academy, Tenshirou now serves as the gofer between his division and the others. Although it seems somewhat menial, Tenshirou actually finds it quite normal as his hectic life in the First has prepared him for the task of the newly forming Ninth.

Having somehow survived the siege of Seireitai with barely any scratches, Tenshirou has, as of the time of this writing, been heavily involved in the paperwork concerning the reconstruction of Seireitai as his captain was hospitalized for injuries during the siege. Because of the mental and physical stress plaguing him, this weakened condition caused Charlette to take him to earth for some recooperation because as she said, "You been to the hospital? It's a madhouse."

During this episode, at some point Tenshirou "lost control" of himself when a personality claiming to be the body's true self appeared before Charlette. Since the incident, Tenshirou has had no direct contact with Charlette and finds himself feeling guilty that he may have done something wrong as his memory of the incident is currently non-existant.

Recently during the Siege in Hueco Mundo, Tenshirou and Charlette have reconciled as well as Tenshirou realizing his potential to unleash his Bankai. How he actually aquired it remains unknown but it appears to have changed his personality slightly as he's becoming more adapted to 'real life'.

With Junichi Terada's departure as the Ninth Division Captain, Tenshirou has since spent a large amount of time completing various things left behind by Junichi such as retrieving items of high spiritual significance. On earth he's been trained by an unorthedox phantom thief that has since retired. Donning the man's former identity, Tenshirou has successfully captured the item and left a gigai with a mod-soul behind on earth to further gather these items. In this time, Tenshirou has also employed his teacher as well as one of his classmates into this scheme and they keep in contact.

Having finished his captaincy exams (for morals and a practical), Tenshirou hopes to become the Ninth Division Captain, despite previous thoughts of not aiming for any sort of captainship. These newfound feelings seem to stem from his growing personality and his feeling of partial ownership of the Ninth Division. Hopefully, time will tell whether or not he recieves what he desires.

Zanpakutou, Tenjou Inji

Zanpakutou Information

tenshiroucharging.gif

[Sealed, Regular Form]
天壌印璽
Tenjou Inji
(Heaven and Earth Imperial Seal)

Zanpakutou Type:
- Light / Melee

Form:
- Held inside of a black lacquered wooden sheath, the weapon itself does not appear to be your traditional katana. The blade is longer than a standard katana being 76.2 cm with a blade thickness of about 1 cm, making it thicker than your standard katana as well. Considered a Doutanuki, the sword is known to break through other weaker sword type weapons, the blade looking to be from the Shobu Zukuri style of thought. The blade doesn't cut, it tears. The tsuba is shaped in a circular formation with a single line through that extends far past the circular boundries of tsuba by about 4 cm on entry and exit. From the top or bottom view, the tsuba looks like the symbol Phi from the Greek Alphabet. The hilt is slightly longer than normal zanpakutou, the braid wrapped around it is a red colored rough fabric, and at the very end of the hilt, the "butt end" covering is gold with a spade on the end. A pair of red tassles hang on the edge.

- After training to master his bankai, Tenshirou's zanpakutou has also changed in a minor fashion to reflect his newfound power. The red ties that were wrapped around the hilt are gone, replaced with a black series of ties. The tassel is no longer part of the sword as well. The hand guard has changed, instead of a circular ring with the phi symbol cutting through the center; the sword now appears with three metal magatama around the hilt, a circular ring connecting the three pieces, thus creating the guard. A metallic band also rests at the top of the hilt and around the catch for the saya, both sporting the symbol for continuous change with three magatama in a circular formation. The same symbol appears along the sheath in a gold color.

MattakuTenjouInji.gif
Mattaku_Tenryuu.gif

[Manifestation]
- Appearing most of the time as a teenage youth wearing a red Chinese jacket and black Chinese styled pants, he sports a messy blue mop of hair and bright blue eyes. A bandaid over his left cheek and a goofy smile, he wears a white sleeveless hanten with red triangular shapes ("Mountain Stripes") along the tail end of the coat, reminiscent of the Shinsengumi. He sports a similar pair of antennae like Tenshirou, bandages around his forearms halfway up and black fingerless gloves. Sporting red converse styled boots and a white sash; from time to time he's seen with the kanji for heaven upon his forehead. He goes by the name "Mattaku" as well as Tenjou Inji.

His actual form is a massive battle dragon in a maroon color with gold armored underbelly, the plates over the front looking more like armor. Spikes coming out of his shoulders and long talons on his fingers, four digits to each massive claw. Massive wings come out of his shoulders, a long neck and tail completing the look. Gold eyes and spikes along his back, this is Tenjou Inji's real appearance.

[Shikai]
Release:
「光の刃, 牙に成るで劈を焼却為る! 雄叫び! 天壌印璽!」
["Hikari no Yaiba, kiba ni naru de heki o shoukyaku suru! Osakebi! Tenjou Inji!"]
("Sword of light, become fangs that pierce, burn, and destroy! Roar! Tenjou Inji!)

Sidenote: May also release with simply "Osakebi! Tenjou Inji!" 「雄叫び! 天壌印璽!」

Form:
- By running his fingertips along the side of the blade while drawing the weapon back, light gathers over the blade and extends the weapon's range, changing the sword from Doutanuki to a Nodachi styled sword with a blade length of 167 cm. The blade becomes sharper, cutting now instead of tearing like the previous form and the blade curves slightly. The hilt gets a small extention as well, the weight of the weapon remaining the same as its previous form. The tsuba also gains a small upgrade, two red stones centered in the middle, four small pointed tips, two down on either side of the weapon and two facing upward, looking more like a sword breaker style sword.

Ability:
- When released, Tenshirou gains a 10% increase In Zanjutsu and Hakuda, and a 15% increase in Hohou. It should also be noted that because of Shikai Training, his spiritual pressure jumps from the usual 10% increase to 20%.

Flaw:
- Despite the weight remaining the same, the longer blade is harder to manuver with. Even with the increase in zanjutsu, the sword is a little hard to use efficiently. However after attaining Bankai, Tenshirou has gotten well versed in swordsmanship that this stipulation no longer applies.

Technique:
明月天牙
Meigetsu Tenge
(Full Moon Heaven Fang)
- The sword attack is what Tenshirou refers to as a 'beam' attack, however it's much farther from the truth. By swinging the sword in a wide arc from right to left (or left to right, depending on which hand Tenshirou is holding the sword with) the force generated from the swing constructs a minor vacuum for a few moments. After the arc of the swing, reiatsu is pushed through the blade and the sword is brought up above the head and swung downward immediately, cutting through the vacuum and increasing its pull towards the opponent (A side note, the vacuum does pull the opponent towards the attack, however it's at a minor level to be almost completely ignored. The vacuum at the moment is what catapults the attack). The resulting friction is what creates the light that surrounds the technique; the force of his swing sends generated momentum in through the vacuum and thereby multiplies it like a slingshot effect, in the form of a vertical blast attack. The cutting beam blast measures in about 2 foot width with a height of 10 feet that grows steadily smaller the farther away an opponent is with a maximum effective range of 15 meters, the range increasing by increments of 5 meters per 1500 connection after the initial 2000 connection (also add another 2 meters for the ineffectiveness of what is left of the attack). With mastery the first arcing swing will not be required.

BankaiTenshirou.gif

[Ousaku Bankai]
Release:
四天王天壌印璽
[Shitennou Tenjou Inji]
(Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Earth Imperial Seal)

Form:
- The sword's new form reflects Tenshirou's compromise with his other selves as well as Tenjou Inji but to a much greater degree. The sword's massive cleaver form remains, continuing to appear longer in comparison to Tenshirou however appears much sleeker and slightly thinner in comparison to his previous bankai. The blade measures at 170 cm, a width of 20 cm at its widest near the base, and a blade thickness of 1.6 cm near the center of the blade. The blade itself is colored in a silver coating with a sharp cutting edge is colored in a bright red color like Shitennou Tenjou Inji: Shinku Kotetsuga, and a black blade on the back end of the dual bladed weapon. The blade itself is held in place by a decorative clamp that rests on either side of the massive blade and keeps it in place, massive screws driven into the weapon. The hilt measures at 60 cm with a massive chain that connects to the sheath and can be detached from it just as easily. The chain also has the ability to retract and extend depending on the situation and merely needs to be willed to do so. The hand guard is square in cut as the previous bankai form, however is slightly smaller and towards the blade end the guard gains a sort of rapier like quality in the form of a circular rod that measures 55 cm and protects the fingers. Where the rod and the square cut hand guard intersect there appears a demon's skull with long protruding fangs, empty eye sockets and long horns.

When Shitennou Tenjou Inji appears, Tenshirou's appearance also changes. Instead of the Shihakushou that the Shinigami wear, he dons a pair of black Chinese styled pants that are tied off at the ankles. Over his torso he sports a red Kung fu styled shirt with three buckles and leather straps over the front that close the garment. Over his shoulders, is a sleeveless and tattered Shinsengumi styled haori, the haori a basic white color with the red "mountain" style trim along the ragged edge of the coat. On the back of the haori is a stylized symbol for Heaven inside of a black hollow diamond. Just above the symbol on his back is a small, circular kamon, with Tenshirou's personal kamon of continous change which also happens to be his division kamon. Over his forearms and halfway up are bandages and over his wrists and hugging onto his hands are black, fingerless gloves with the red mountain style along the bands. On his back, seemingly held by sheer will alone, is a massive sheath that looks very impractical. The sheath itself seems to be constructed of large metallic slabs and looks almost as if it could be part of a mechanical device. As usual Tenshirou's white scarf remains unharmed throughout all this.

Ability:
[ Cast On (Kotetsuga)/ Cast Off (Hayate) ]
- Ability unique to Tenshirou's sword. Shitennou Tenjou Inji, while in its default mode (Kotetsuga), the weapon grants Tenshirou an extra 65% to his zanjutsu by gathering and channeling light energy then compacts it within the blade of the sword; creating the crimson glow along the edge that was present using the Shinno Bankai's ability "Hitenshou" to a much more stable degree. The light itself acts as a reservoir of power and adds to Tenshirou's own power, becoming a conduit from which Tenshirou can access the gathered up energy and use it as his own so long as he remains within that mode. The sword blade, like the original ability, burns the air in front of the blade edge, increasing the speed and power with which the sword deals damage by burning away the air immediately in front of the blade as well as anything else, creating a vacuum. The vacuum itself, like Hitenshou before it, is stronger in comparison to the one utilized by the shikai attack Meigetsu Tenge.

However, when Cast Off (Hayate) is utilized, that 65% towards zanjutsu switches to hohou while in use, granting him increased speed at the cost of that strength. By speaking the command "cast off" the sword reveals its form beneath by shattering the blade's heavy outer shell and redistributing that malleable energy to his speed, effectively reusing the shattered remains as the source to power his speed. The blade is a golden color, casts a bright light from the blade with runes that run along the sword blade and surrounds it in the air; if other light sources are in the vicinity however, they will be drawn to the blade and increases the intensity of the light from the blade. The light itself constructs a minor barrier that decreases the friction around Tenshirou's form, allowing him to utilize the speeds to their fullest capacity.

The sword can return back to its original state by saying the command phrase, "Cast On" , channeling ambient light particles and willing them to construct the sword back into its original state.

Utilizing this ability ("Cast Off" and "Cast On" ) within the same turn however, is prohibited as the rapid change in such a short time would rupture internal organs. From Mode Hayate to Kotetsuga (assuming it's performed in the same turn) the energy that switches from hohou to zanjutsu causes hemorrhaging within Tenshirou's organs and can seriously damage his body, possibly incapacitating him for the duration of a fight or quite possibly kill him. From Mode Hayate to Kotetsuga with the above circumstances, his legs could shatter altogether from the immense strain of suddenly injecting power into his legs. The last stipulation is that he must remain in a particular mode for at least one turn (meaning he cannot cast off immediately after summoning bankai and must remain in Kotetsuga for at least one turn after summoning).

Of note, it should be realized that some of Tenshirou's specialty attacks cannot be used in both states and requires a specific state to utilize them in.

Attacks:
天空海闊切改訂版: 天鬼竜全滅爆
[Tenkuukaikatsugiri Kaiteiban: Tenki Ryuuzenmeha]
(As open as Heaven and Sky, as serene as the Sea Cut Revised: Heaven Devil Dragon Annihilation Wave)

- Shitennou Tenjou Inji's special attack, Tenkuukaikatsugiri Kaiteiban: Tenki Ryuuzenmeha is a stronger form of his original technique. Instead of changing colors depending on the user, the attack combines all three auras into a single devastating technique that appears twice, if not three times as strong as the original. When fired it measures in the same dimensions, however the concentrated destructive power is immense. Like the original technique, the attack can only be fired a total of four times and consumes 20% of the user's Reiatsu when used. The revision part comes with the fact the blasts can be combined to construct an even stronger attack (2 shots of Tenki Ryuuzenmeha = 40%; 3 shots of Tenki Ryuuzenmeha = 60%) though all four shots can never be combined. Can be used in either Mode Kotetsuga or Mode Hayate.

天空海闊剣舞
[Tenkuukaikatsukenbu]
(As open as Heaven and Sky, as serene as the Sea Sword Dance)
- Shitennou Tenjou Inji's second special attack; when utilized, Shinku Kotetsuga's hand guard snaps into a horizontal position, increasing the width of the hand guard. The red energy from Hitenshou then spills into the empty space, creating a massive solid crimson light sword blade measuring in a width of 40 cm and increasing the blade length to an unheard of 400 cm (more than twice Tenshirou's height), creating what Tenshirou refers to as his Zankantou ( 斬艦刀 ) or Tenshirou's Ship Cutting Sword. Similar to a Zanbatou, the Zankantou is usually used to take down much larger opponents than Tenshirou. When using this massive sword, Tenshirou speeds towards the target and swings the weapon horizontally (if in mid-air, the technique can be performed vertically if gathered enough height). In swinging the weapon of such huge mass, the heated blade of the weapon creates a much larger vacuum to propel it forward, much in the same vein as Meigetsu Tenge. If the strike connects, the crimson blade shatters against the opponent, unleashing a violent series of explosions from the broken shards of the crimson blade while Tenshirou spins out beyond the opponent. The shards themselves act as explosives because of the sudden discontinuation of force that willed it together in the first place. Should the strike miss completely, the red blade is sucked back into the edge of the sword and the hand guard locks back into its previous position. The attack itself costs 15% of Tenshirou's reiatsu value. Can only be utilized in Mode Kotetsuga.

[Bankai]
四天王天壌印璽
[Shitennou Tenjou Inji]
(Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Earth Imperial Seal)

Description:
- Manifesting large amounts of reiatsu throughout his form, he compresses the energy manifesting many times over. In doing so, the energy flares up around his body, appearing to set him ablaze. Light within his vicinity of about thirty meters all around, suddenly begins converging upon him no matter how insignificant. The energy coagulates, pooling together inside of his form. The sword blade and sheathe lights up from the manifestation of light and when called; the zanpakutou lets off a massive concussive blast that strikes out at five to seven meters around him.

Form:
- The sword's new form reflects Tenshirou's compromise with his other selves as well as Tenjou Inji; not like the nodachi form of the sword like Shikai, however almost as long. The sword becomes an enormous cleaver, much in the vein of Zangetsu, except with a double edge and appearing longer in comparison to Tenshirou, measuring at 170 cm, a width of 20 cm at its widest near the base, and a blade thickness of 1.6 cm near the center of the blade. The blade itself is colored in a silver coating with a sharp white blade on the cutting surface and a black blade on the back end of the dual bladed weapon. The hilt measures at 60 cm with a massive chain that connects to the sheath and can be detached from it just as easily. The chain also has the ability to retract and extend depending on the situation and merely needs to be willed to do so. The hand guard is square in cut, however towards the blade end the guard gains a sort of rapier like guard in the form of a circular rod that measures 55 cm and protects the fingers.

On the back of the hanten is a stylized symbol for Heaven inside of a black hollow diamond. Just above the symbol on his back is a small, circular kamon, with Tenshirou's personal kamon of continous change. Strangely enough, Tenshirou's white scarf remains unharmed throughout all this.

Ability:
[ Clocked ]
- A field around Tenshirou that is produced from his body. This ability, instead of increasing Tenshirou's own speed by 60%, slows the opponent down by 60% of their total Hohou by slowing down the imaging processing of the enemy's brain from the cues given through the eyes, effectively slowing the enemy's reaction time as well. This makes him appear faster. This ability doesn't affect blind opponents or those that close their eyes as the ability is purely visually based. Also, opponents with no eyes to speak of are not affected.

Technique:
天空海闊切
[Tenkuukaikatsugiri]
(As open as Heaven and Sky, as serene as the Sea Cut)
- Shitennou Tenjou Inji's special attack, Tenkuukaikatsugiri is a massive upgrade to the shikai form's Meigetsu Tenge. By channeling the combined reiatsu stored inside of his body, Tenshirou is able to unleash a powerful blast of energy on three times the scale of Meigetsu Tenge. Because of the magnitude of energy consumption, Tenshirou is only given four shots (one for each of the beings inside of Tenshirou's mind, and two for Tenshirou himself) of this technique and cannot train himself to increase the number of usages as with Meigetsu Tenge. Performed in a single swing much like the perfected form of Meigetsu Tenge, the attack functions on the same scale except multiplied by the three main persona components with Tenjou Inji holding the three together. In doing this, the reiatsu fired and unleashed is the same color as the person they represent (should the other personas take over) Tenshirou's being red, Tenkuumaru's being black, and Scaccarii's being white. The blast area can be increased like any other attack and when used the reiatsu lashes out into four smaller Meigetsu Tenge and spreads out, cutting the ground as well as spreading into the sky and afterwards leave a large gash that looks almost like a claw mark.

[Shinno Bankai]
Release:
四天王天壌印璽 : 真紅鋼鉄牙
[Shitennou Tenjou Inji: Shinku Koutetsuga]
(Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Earth Imperial Seal: Crimson Steel Fang)

Ability:
緋天昇
[Hitenshou]
(Scarlet Heaven Rising)
- Shinku Kotetsuga's (as it will now be referred to as typing the whole name out is kinda long) special ability. Hitenshou gathers ambient light particles and multiplies them, increasing Tenshirou's zanjutsu by compressing the energy manifested and boosting his swordsmanship by an additional 70%. The sword blade's light creates a field that eliminates friction by burning the air in front of it, creating a small vacuum to pull it forward, making the swings of the sword much faster and the blade edge immensely stronger. The blade itself becomes almost laser-like in strength, able to cut through solid objects like a hot knife through butter. The most notable feature of the change when he releases Shinno, is that the blade of Shitennou Tenjou Inji becomes a glowing crimson color, signifying the compressed power.

Technique:
天空海闊剣舞
[Tenkuukai Katsukenbu]
(As open as Heaven and Sky, as serene as the Sea Sword Dance)
- Shinku Kotetsuga's special attack; when utilized, Shinku Kotetsuga's hand guard snaps into a horizontal position, increasing the width of the hand guard. The attack itself costs 15% of Tenshirou's current reiatsu value should the attack connect.

[Kyoshou Bankai]
Release:
四天王天壌印璽 : 烈迅風
[Shitennou Tenjou Inji: Retsu Hayate]
(Four Heavenly Kings Heaven and Earth Imperial Seal: Violent Swift Gale)

Form:
- A bit different from Tenshirou's previous form. Where as Kotetsuga didn't change any of the appearance of Shitennou Tenjou Inji, Hayate instead shatters the outer shell of the sword, revealing a nodachi like inner core colored in gold. The blade itself is similar to Tenjou Inji's shikai form minus the hand guard and keeps the long chain from the previous two bankai forms. The blade's light shines for about eight or nine meters of the user's vicinity with runes that float in the air and circle around the blade of the weapon. The chain that dangles at the end of the sword stretches out and crackles with reiatsu that has spread into it.

Ability:
[Unnamed]
- An unnamed ability. The ability itself increases Tenshirou's speeds drastically for his single assault by creating a field in front his sword that acts as a barrier for the extreme speeds he reaches as well protecting him from minor and mid-level damage during the transition phase of this technique. The field itself acts and amplifies not only Tenshirou's speed but the piercing power of his weapon. This effect only lasts for the single attack of the Kyoshou and thus can be considered part of the attack. Incidentally, Tenshirou recieves an 80% boost to Hohou for the duration of this attack.

Technique:
一撃必殺 : 心限界点
[Ichigeki Hissatsu: Shin Genkaiten]
(One Strike Certain Kill: Spirit Breaking Point)
- Retsu Hayate's special technique; when utilized Tenshirou, channels his reiatsu throughout the weapon, which in turn supercharges the entirety of the sword, and finally constructs a compact blade capable of ripping through even the toughest armor by expending a vast majority of Tenshirou's reiatsu into the sword and by proxy using its power to increase its piercing power. When Tenshirou releases the sword into this mode, he drops down into a stance similar to Hajime Saitou's gatotsu. In doing this he maximizes and focuses on running speed. When in use, Tenshirou charges the opponent, practically flying because of the barrier and channeled energy through the piercing point of the sword, the blade literally cutting through the air in front of at a highly accelerated rate. In his charge the blade allows him to move approximately ten steps faster than a full burst shunpo. Because of the nature of this attack, the piercing area is rather small; however in doing this the attack is made that much more effective by limiting the damage to a single area. The initial blast area for the attack extends in a circular diameter of one meter, more likely than not, through the target. However this damage isn't only limited to the blade end; the chain, charged with the same energy running through the blade, whips around behind Tenshirou, striking at any opposition left behind him with an effective range of ten meters behind him and swings around in a snake like form that swings rapidly above for an extended range of four meters side to side. The chain strike itself is valued at damage to half of that of the blade end, though at the point of contact against the enemy, the most of the energy itself is unleashed and thus this value becomes lower near the ending of the attack. It should be noted that this attack, although versatile (it can be used at complete rest without a running start or used vertically or diagonally into the air or downward), the attack is always a straight line. Once the attack starts, it will continue to move in the projected course whether or not Tenshirou likes it or not. Because of the devastating effect of this technique, upon completion Tenshirou's bankai will expire as it is a last ditch attempt attack, adverse affects can include loss of consciousness.

Extra Weapons and Accessories

Extra Weapons and Accessories:

Setsuna 刹拏
(Instant) [Unique Item]
- Another doutanuki is in an almost identical shape to Tenjou Inji. The weapon however possesses a more traditional tsuba and is meant to be a complimentary weapon to Tenshirou's zanpakutou as well as a training implement. The sword itself matches Tenjou Inji's measurements and carries a special ability to its name. The sword, after being blessed by the Hisame family, is able to break or cut through barriers on a spiritual level. Other than this ability, the above average forged blade is normal and like any other sword type weapon.

Rangetsu Family Mantle
- A brown cloak-like piece of apparel that has the capacity to conceal the user's entire body, the mantle is constructed of a very sturdy material that prevents damage to the mantle and protects the user against the elements. When worn the mantle is fastened by rope that carries a small wooden emblem of the Rangetsu family, and can easily discarded if needed. Nothing too special about it, save for the fact it's an item from the noble family of Rangetsu and has a resistance over the elements, flame retardant and insulated against the cold. Over the front of the collar sits a metal plate with the First Division symbol and the Captain's symbol. Recently he's changed the metal plate to the Ninth Division's symbol and Captain's symbol.

Mission Memory Cell Phone [Faiz Type]
- Tenshirou's own personal shinigami cellular phone. The phone is a standard issued phone with Hollow tracing capabilities as well as being able to breach the dimensional gap to allow communication to and from Soul Society. Tenshirou's phone however is customized and looks much different from other phones of the same type. The casing is made out of high grade plastic composite that resists wear and tear and can absorb the shock from a four story drop without a scratch. The phone sports a true color screen and has a mini camera installed that can send video in real time as well as take pictures. The phone also has several features not yet explored. On the face of the phone, there sits a Phi symbol. The phone is mainly colored black and silver. When initiating calls to Soul Society, the phone will simply state "STANDING BY". To prevent unauthorized use, the phone is locked using a three digit code followed by another two keys.

Junichi Terada's Haori
- Not exactly an item, more like an article of clothing. The Haori belonged to former Ninth Division Captain Junichi Terada. For sentimental reasons Tenshirou wears the haori and keeps it with him. The haori itself possesses no special characteristics other than it was once worn by the former Captain of the Ninth.
- Recently the haori has been fitted with what can only be described as a metal collar. The collar extends outward a bit away from Tenshirou's neck somewhat like a jacket collar and the metal extends over the area between his neck and shoulders but not over. The collar provides some protection for Tenshirou's neck area though this is usually covered by his scarf.

Chidori
- A seemingly useless item, it is actually a massive and long iron fan. The fan itself used to be used in sight comedy routines, though they usually made theirs out of paper. Tenshirou, however, uses it to discipline his subordinates and making it out of paper doesn't seem to carry the weight of repentance as well as he'd like. The fan itself is shaped like a traditional harisen and measures 106 cm. Usually stored in a subspace pocket around Tenshirou, he usually draws it when he's seriously annoyed and on the verge of stabbing. Many have learned to fear its weight as Tenshirou seems to wield it like an angry god. Inscribed on the side of the kanji for Chidori or "Thousand Birds". Why it's named this is anyone's guess.

Kidou and Techniques

[Kidou]:
1. Hadou #2, Beni Ikazuchi ("Crimson Thunder")
Kidou Cost: 15
Description: A beam of deep red lightning is blasted from the user's pointing finger towards the enemy. It's particularity is to make so much noise that breaks the enemy orientation. Its strike is not very strong but the impact can make superficial bruises. It's a good hadou for beginners.

Incantation: Under the celestial ruby, shall my voice roar like a thunder. Hadou #2, Beniikazuchi.
2. Bakudou #1, Obstruction
Kidou Cost: 15
Description: Basically the same thing that Rukia uses in the beginning of the manga. Binds a target's arms together, can easily be defeated by opponents of similar or greater spiritual pressure.

Incantation: Bakudou #1, Sai!
3. Chiyudo #1, Higashiyori ("Spring Wind")
Kidou Cost: 5
Description: A flexible spell, able to heal extremely light wounds in the midst of battle, with limitations of three centimeters deep and six centimeters square in length. Flexibility comes in balancing the use of speed and of degree of healing. For example, this can be used to heal a light wound while moving (thus, high speed, low healing), or to heal a deeper wound while remaining still (thus, low speed, high healing.)

Incantation: "From between the clouds above, to the branches below... from the buds of spring, to the trickles of early streams... remove pain with gentle speed... Chiyudo #1, Higashiyori."
4. Hadou #5, Demon Fist
Kidou Cost: 28
Description: The user of this spell quickly wraps energy into their fist then releases it. As the power is released the beastly image of a demon is formed around the fist. Upon impact, the energy explodes violently against the target causing up to five times the damage a normal punch would have.

Incantion: The wild soul of the demon flows through me. Granting me the power to strike down at the world. Hadou #5, Demon Fist
5. Hadou #28, Toutenya (Strike Heaven Arrow)
Kidou Cost: 200
Description: Casting Info: The caster extends his/her fingertip outward, parellel to a side of their body (be it left or right). Channelling energy into the tip of their finger, he/she draws three lines into the air, the lines are jagged arrow shaped and may be launched in a straight line in a given direction; the arrows can be fired one by one, or in rapid succession the command differing.

Effects: The arrows' damage is miniscule, however when a target is struck, the area that was hit (i.e. arm, leg) becomes numb and unresponsive for twenty seconds. Much like getting hit with a taser. If shot in the chest or head unconsciousness usually follows, as having your chest or brain being unresponsive could...well, kill you.

Incantation:
(single shot) Shooting across the heavens, strike my enemies. Shoot! Hadou #28, Toutenya!
(rapid shot) Breaking through the heavens, mow down my enemies. Fire! Hadou #28, Toutenya!
6. Bougyoudo #49, Daishyunpo
Kidou Cost: 515
Description: Shyunpo for a limited time can now be used in mid-air and does not exhaust its user's endurance. Once activated, for one minute, Shyunpo can be used in both the air and on the ground as if they were the same. Aerial shyunpo can also be chained to each other.

Incantation: None so far(suggestions welcome)
7. Chiyudo #58 , Destruction Barrier
Kidou Cost: 800
Description: The user forces their energy out into a barrier, canceling out an incoming attacking energy. The barrier then shoots forth at the user opponent like a massive wave of energy. The damage that this counter causes is usually around the same as the user's strength. The stronger their opponent is, the less effective it will be, and if their opponent is 2x stronger than them, the user of the spell will still incur damage from the attack.

Incantation: Pure spirits come to my aid. Destroy all malicious energy and punish all those who wrought to bring me harm. Chiyudo #58, Destruction Barrier
8. Hadou #4, Byakurai
Kidou Cost: 25
Description: A blasting spell, intended to pierce an opponent like a bullet. Though it is a simple Kidou for beginners, on higher levels the attack is extremely effective in melee situations of face offs.

Incantation: Converge light into spaces of darkness... Hadou #4, Byakurai.
9. Hadou #30, Big Bang
Kidou Cost: 300
Description: Big Bang is used when the user of the kidou forms a small ball of energy no bigger than the size of a baby's fist within their palm. When completely formed, the kidou looks like a miniature sun, but it has no heat to it and it doesn't harm the user. Until it is used, it simply floats off an inch from the user's palm. However, the indiscrete size and small chant belay the kidou's true power.

When launched at a target [most people take the habit of launching the kidou with a flick of the thumb], the kidou will explode with the power of a half a pound of dynamite. Its overall power is not only able to punch holes in walls, if used by an expert it can be powerful enough to level small cabins and so fast that most of the time it won't be seen coming.

Because of this, the kidou is not only useful for combat situation but for missions where an untraceable diversion is needed.

Incantation: Break the dragon's jaw, little firestar. Hadou #30, Big Bang

[Feat Slots]:
[ Shoushunpo ] -- 消瞬踏 "Vanishing Flash Step"
- A special ability unique to Tenshirou's strange physiology, he's able to reduce shunpo requirements by 40%. This ability doesn't change the distance in which he runs, nor does it change how fast he moves, it just allows him to dodge more freely with the use of shunpo. With this feat in effect, it also spreads to other shunpo related techniques and is constantly activated. In addition, it lowers the requirements to learn shunpo related techniques by 1/5th.

[Techniques]:
* [ Shirei Hatsuri ] -- "Command Bypass" (Aur/-/-)
After achieving Ban Kai, the release phrase for Shikai is no longer necessary. This Technique allows the user to simply release his/her Shikai instantaneously through a higher bond achieved with his/her Zanpaku.

When initially learned, Shirei Hatsuri may be equipped without occupying a Tech Allocation slot (but it still occupies a Tech List slot). After 20,000 Connection is attained, Shirei Hatsuri is fully invisible, but when the Shikai command phrase is bypassed, the Reiatsu bonus from Shikai is reduced by half. After 30,000 Connection is attained, this penalty will no longer apply.

* [ Eishouhaki ] -- "Revocation of the Recited Poem" (Aur/-/-)
Allows the user to bypass of the chanting of a Kidou spell and simply state the name. However, this also results in a drop in the efficacy of the bypassed Kidou, based on its level as outlined below:

Low Level

1:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 66% Power
2:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 88% Power
3:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 100% Power

Mid Level

1:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 50% Power
2:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 75% Power
3:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 100% Power

High Level

1:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 33% Power
2:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 66% Power
3:1 User's Kidou:Spell Cost = 100% Power

Note that this only takes into account the base, listed cost of the Kidou spell. Kidou cost reductions from any other effect/skill cannot be taken into account and be used as "shortcuts."

*** [ Seimokuto no Fuuin ] -- "Seal of the Blue-Eyed Hare" (Aur/--/--)
Only by being in considerable motion may the Hare grant its protection. The Hare's flowing crest appears all around both of the target's knees, shins, and feet, signifying its consent. Seimokuto no Fuuin locks down the target's Hohou, meaning that all boosts/decreases made to it and all effects that modify Hohou-related aspects not only last two rounds longer, but is also protected from being modified in anyway by anyone. This seal cannot lock down boosts and/or decreases that last shorter than one turn. If the seal is struck with a considerable amount of force (not from the target), it will instantly vanish. The user may only execute the allocation of this seal while in exerted, constant motion (ie., running, sprinting, jumping).

[ Touitsu Sensen ] -- "United Front" (Bst/Syn/-)
[spoiler="Description of Technique]In battle, two characters who have spent much time with one another and are fighting together against an adversary receive a +20% stat boost to two stats of their liking (except Connection). Outside of PC vs PC battles (Sou Kyouko, direct duels, etc.), Touitsu Sensen does not take up a slot in either the List or Allocation. However, in order to be used in PC vs. PC fights, Touitsu Sensen must be equipped, and takes up an Allocation slot.
Currently Capable with:
Maisaku Hiana
Junichi Terada
Hanzou Yamazaki
Shiroi

[ Atozukeru ] -- "Trace" (Aur/-/-)
Based entirely on the reasoning behind meditation, this Technique is performed solely through the control and focusing of the mind. It is a specialized ability to "trace" Reiatsu. This includes the basic form of being able to sense where people are, but in battle, Atozukeru is used to trace and learn "patterns" in movement (by tracing smaller patterns of energy movement, like the wave of an arm, for example), both within the opponent (e.g., footwork, hand to hand combat) and also for the Zanpakutou (e.g., swordsmanship). It enables the ability to "see" these patterns so openings for attack and opportunities for defense are increased. The user's Reiatsu is drained at a rate of 3% per round for the duration of Atozukeru's effect.

[ Kakusan ] -- "Diffusion" (Aur/-/-)
This Technique is designed to counter Atozukeru, however, it is also useful in its own right. As a counter, it enables the user to "diffuse" their energy patterns, and at higher levels, the user is able to diffuse patterns so much so that they may become untraceable by those with less Reiatsu. As a unique Technique (and a higher level one), Kakusan enables the "throwing" of energy patterns so as to distract or confuse opponents by resting patterns on sound waves (e.g., echoes). When this Technique is mastered, Kakusan can be used to form "clouds" of energy around opponents which dull their sense abilities by 10%. Kakusan's passive diffusion drains Reiatsu at a rate of 150 points per round and/or 120 Reiatsu for every time its active effects are used.

[ Baizou Tobiagari ] -- "Double Jump" (Mov/-/-)
The user of this Tech can jump into the air, pause by gathering energy at the base of their feet, then spring-board off the gathered energy. This Technique is tiring and takes a lot out of a person when used more than once in succession of the base jump. One must also be prepared to compensate for the fall that comes afterwards. During the pause, the user cannot perform other actions than the jump, or else the succession will be broken and they will fall back to the ground.

[ Sakuganki ] -- "Rock Drill" (Atk/-/-)
A sword Technique that utilizes advanced Reiatsu control to repeatedly anchor the tip of a sword onto a target point. Repeated withdrawals of the blade away from the target, and the subsequent attraction of the blade's tip towards it creates a series of thrusting attacks that, with sufficient skill, can create a drill-like force that can punch through a target, or burrow through various obstructions.

[ Senpuuken ] -- "Whirlwind Sword" (Atk/Mov/-)
A sword Technique where by using momentum from a spinning motion, a fast and wild attack is performed. The user swings his/her sword in wide strokes all around them, using the momentum of the rotating motion to increase the speed of the second attack until a rapid combo of strikes is performed all around them. With the wild, long strikes used in this attack, there is not true aimed shot at a specific place, but because of the large area and rapid succession of each attack at the right distance, it is becomes difficult to avoid this attack (this is if both people are at equal standing).

[ Battou Shunpo ] -- "Drawing Sword Shunpo" (Atk/Mov/-)
A combination of the samurai art of drawing his sword in a deathblow fashion and a large burst of Shunpo. Note that the sword itself does not move at Shunpo speed, but rather only as quickly as the user's body can utilize it while in Shunpo. A large amount of Vitality is used, and if the character's Zanjutsu is not higher than his target's, the Shunpo fails. Otherwise, a high success rate occurs.

[ Daitou no Hi ] -- "Great Blade's Fire" (Atk/-/-)
The concept of Battoujutsu has long been valued as one of the strongest and quickest ways to dispatch an opponent. Though Iaijutsu holds a similar power, the quick-strike power of Battoujutsu has long appealed many swordsmen. However, in the Reiatsu-based strength of Shinigami, Battoujutsu quickly lost its appeal when easier methods of killing were available.

Masters of Battoujutsu quickly countered this with a powerful Battoujutsu-based Technique; Daitou no Hi. Named for the 'fire' that appears on the blade when the Technique is used correctly, Daitou no Hi works by imbuing Reiatsu into one's sheath and exploding it outward, forcing the blade out at a far faster pace than any normal Battoujutsu unsheathing.

When used correctly, an ethereal fire explodes outwards from the sheath and coats the blade; this fire does no harm but is a manifestation of the 'exploded' Reiatsu. If the opponent is cut with this Technique, the fire lingers on the body for a slight moment before dissipating into nothing.
[/spoiler]

[August Echelon Techniques]:
火山機関の大轟決
[ Kazan Kikan no Daikouketsu ]
"The Volcanic Engine's Thundering Rule"

All members of the August Echelon are infamous throughout the whole of Soul Society, Anoyo, and Hueco Mundo, and such is the same for the magnitude of their Zanpakutou as well. Their fearsome releases have been used in the face of many threats, and the resultant bond and advanced levels of proficiency has elevated the scale of such releases to new heights. This skill is born of such a connection, and enables a member of the August Echelon to further expand and augment the power of his or her Ousaku Ban Kai release by adopting one of many sub-skills offered. Also, should the pertinent circumstances necessitate dire measures, one is now able to release Ousaku Ban Kai without having to enter Shikai beforehand. Note that any given character may only adopt one of the following skills:

  • [ Mujigen Ren'ai ] -- "The Endless Romance"
Lastly, there are those that wish to prolong their ability to pummel the opponent wave after wave while in Ousaku Ban Kai. By opening up a freer channel of energy with his or her Zanpaku, a member of the August Echelon is blessed with a higher capacity of turns he or she may spend while in Ousaku Ban Kai. This results in a growth boost in his or her number of turns, in which succeeding increments of 10,000 Connection after 30,000 Connection will add yet another turn to his or her maximum amount on top of the normal growth of turns. This also applies to the very instant he or she attains Ousaku Ban Kai at 30,000 Connection: he or she will start off with five turns, rather than just three.

[Must've stayed on Ousaku Ban Kai for at least a total of fifteen rounds beforehand.]

聖堂の百万門達
[ Seidou no Hyakuman Kadotachi ]
"The Sacred Hall's Million Gates"

Through the participation in a number of missions, as well as accumulated experience within innumerous battles and ordeals, a Shinigami will come to realize the nature of his or her most profound strengths. The August Echelon recognizes these unique traits as what will be delivering factors should Soul Society ever be in tremendous peril, and have made accommodations to suit each and every one member into sub-classes of combat specialty. It should be noted that each member is only capable of adopting one sub-class.

[ Shinshitou ] -- "The Sylvan Sword"
Prodigious fighters and warriors who have honed their physical prowess and skills to the highest levels congregate under the Shinshitou class. It is here that practitioners of different Bujutsu, as well as connoisseurs of either the armed or empty-handed martial arts find their place amongst the ardent members of the August Echelon. However, with such a vast degree of diversity even within a sub-class, the abilities attainable by those of the Shinshitou work to emphasize individual power as such:

  • [ Akanu ] -- "Clearest Moment"
Having to plunge into direct and close-range combat is often a fatal undertaking, where versatility and spirit are frequently the only things that will allow one to emerge alive. Being able to properly and unhesitatingly counter a decisive strike is of equal importance, and with the skill of Akanu, a warrior of the Shinshitou is given an empty skill slot that is considered neither a Technique nor a Feat in technical nature, but may be filled by a unique counter skill-- equivalent to the level of a Feat or succession Technique-- that is special to each member. The respective skill may be used to turn around dire situations where there may be no escape from an overwhelming enemy attack, and even drastically shift the favor to the Shinshitou warrior's.

[Must have effectively parried or countered at least fifteen different attacks beforehand in PC vs. PC fights or plot fights.]

  • [ Kui ] -- "Tradition of Crimson"
There were once rumors of master-warriors that have transcended legendary and mythical status and onto that of the phantasmagoric Hisakusa itself... having become of such epic and mystical identities that mere humans are no longer capable of either sensing or remembering them. Seeking and pursuing this level of "unfathomable fame" has been the object of aspiration to many earnest warriors, and those that have been said to 'touch' that level are regarded as having received a divine glance from that of the gods. By such a sacred bequeathal, those who purportedly crossed paths with, fought, and narrowly survived against these warriors told tales of indescribable, indiscernible, and undeniable skill, tersely terming it as "Kui," the Tradition of Crimson, but for one belief: using it guarantees the shedding and splashing of blood.

Amagawa Sougen has arranged for the rigorous attainment of this skill for only the most proficient and masterful of martial art practitioners. Through innumerous hours of continuous meditation, a Shinshitou may be bestowed with Kui, the ability to double the gap in combative capacity between him or herself and the enemy. This works by taking the difference between the Shinshitou's current Zanjutsu or Hakuda and that of the opponent's, doubling that value, and letting the said value be the new difference in Zanjutsu or Hakuda between the Shinshitou and the enemy. With that, the Shinshitou's ability to read, parry, evade, or counter against the enemy is increased, while the opponent's same abilities are lowered against the Shinshitou, all as according to how large the gap grows as the result of Kui. However, the Shinshitou's maximum Zanjutsu or Hakuda stat must be at least 500 points higher than that of the opponent's base Zanjutsu or Hakuda in order for Kui to work, and the increased gap in Zanjutsu or Hakuda does not affect any pertinent calculations in any skill. Whenever Kui is in effect, the opponent will always view the Shinshitou's fists or sword blade as being heavily splashed and caked in blood.

[Must have defeated at least four different PC or plot opponents beforehand.]

空市の不届極
[ Soraichi no Fukai Kyoku ]
"The Aerial City's Untouchable Zenith"

The fabled Kikouou that once stood watch over the Sou Kyoku execution poles was often glorified as the 'million Zanpakutou,' an allusion to its fearsome and overwhelming appearance and manifested release. A member of the August Echelon may hope to attain such a level of power with their own Zanpakutou once 40,000 Connection is reached... and with it, claim dominion over those lesser than him or herself. Soraichi no Fukai Kyoku affords such an altitude of strength, whereupon no opponent with Connection (or any other pertinent stat that acts like Connection with the exception of Reiatsu) equal to or lesser than 10,000 that of the August Echelon member's may ever hope to engage in equitable battle with the Master Shinigami... as doing so will result in the complete destruction of the lesser Zanpakutou (or any other staple weapon). However, this all affords much more than mere dominance.

With the 'power of a million Zanpakutou,' the soul slayer of an August Echelon member gains a certain level of independence from the physical construction of the weapon itself, such that even should his or her Zanpakutou be compromised in combat, Kai releases may be retained and still activated with reasonable loss in power. Thus, even if his or her Zanpakutou's blade is entirely compromised, a maximum release of Shikai is still possible, though at a handicap of 80% of its full potential power. The same applies to Ousaku Ban Kai, however, the Zanpakutou blade must retain at least half of its blade intact in order for the final release to be activated.

The last facet of Soraichi no Fukai Kyoku is the execution of a geographical assault upon a particular region of an immediate landscape. It is by plunging one's Zanpakutou into the earth and pouring the synergistic Reiryoku into it that such a destructive spectacle may be witnessed. The grand-scale bombardment is not designed to obliterate a single target or a particular group of enemies... rather, its true effectiveness shows in being able to level stretches of territory, large enemy forces, and structures quickly and indiscriminately. However, any section of the targeted region that holds the same natural attribute or element as that of the inundating energy is kept intact.

鉄塔の静教
[ Tettou no Shizuhisa ]
"The Iron Tower's Silent Creed"

Having been so familiarized and accustomed to one's strength and spiritual bearing leads to this higher branch of existence, the Tettou no Shizuhisa. Through assiduous training and emphasis upon one's natural strengths, the resultant Reiryoku will attune itself to passively augment the August Echelon member's forte as much as it can allow. It is by this harmonic circumvention of spiritual power that the August Echelon member is able to experience a +15% boost to his or her highest combat stat. However, if multiple combat stats are identical in value, then that +15% boost may be evenly distributed amongst them. The synergistic processes will continue to grow, allowing the default +15% boost to grow by +1% for every 5,000 Connection attained after 40,000.

絹城の無差別
[ Kinushiro no Musabetsu ]
"The Silken Castle's Indiscrimination"

To be absorbed into such a distinguished class of warriors and be known as the best Shinigami recognized within the Gotei 13 is often the highest honor one can receive... but bearing such a status is another matter entirely. Withholding authority and charisma in battle with utmost consistency is vital towards being role models of all younger aspiring Shinigami, and it is here that prior experiences in wars, missions, and innumerous battles come into play. Having to tirelessly assume leadership enables the August Echelon member to achieve the state of Kinushiro no Musabetsu, and develop an insurmountable resilience against the duress and compromises of combat. The culmination of martial knowledge and understanding gives birth to a higher degree of resilience against negative status effects, where low-level abnormalities may be outright blocked off and mid-to-high level abnormalities resisted to an even greater extent than before. This also extends to effects that work to dampen one's stats: whenever such a travesty occurs, the August Echelon member will only experience half of its severity due to his or her greater militaristic and characteristic bearing.

[Division Techniques]:
[ Heki Shunpo ] -- "Fake Shunpo" (Mov/Sta/Aur)
Deception is key for the 9th division, and misleading your enemies is the simplest way to cause confusion. Fake Shunpo lets the user make the impression that they Shunpo in one direction, but really move in another. The Tech is simple, but highly effective, as it can throw off an opponent's split second decision that they need to make. It costs twice as much Reiatsu as a regular Shunpo, though the cost can definitely be worth it.

If the opponent has comparable Hohou to the user, the deception can be kept up for up to a twenty step Shunpo. Any longer than that, and the opponent can see through the deception before the user of Heki Shunpo can complete it. This increases by ten steps every 5% Hohou above the opponent.

[ Kyouryuu no Gasshouki ] -- "Lunar Miasma of the Mirror Dragon" (Aur/Sta/-)
A trick, when extended to cover a whole group of people, can be far more dangerous than just a single man. Concealing a group's numbers can be just as important as showing overwhelming force, especially when trying to confront an enemy who can judge their odds of victory well.

By plunging their hand into the ground and pouring their Reiatsu into it, the user can cause the earth to release a colorless, odorless gas which, depending on the Reiatsu signatures inside, can bend light to cloak the individuals in the cloud. The only limit to the number of people who can be cloaked his how many can be fit inside the cloud, and how large the user can make the cloud. This can mean that a powerful 9th division member can cloak an entire army from view, if their Reiatsu is high enough.

Based on the Reiatsu signatures of the individuals in the cloud, the user can decide whether or not to let the gas cloak them. This is especially useful against Hollows, as their Reiatsu signatures are distinctly different than Shinigami. The Technique is naturally weak against wind-based attacks, as a strong enough wind can easily blow the cloud away, but the larger the ground area emitting gas, the harder it is to expose the cloaked individuals.

The Technique requires 500 Reiatsu to learn, with a starting radius of two meters. This increases another two meters every additional 500 Reiatsu gained. Each usage at full strength requires 10% of the user's Reiatsu, and the max duration is two minutes for an individual. For every ally affected by this Technique, the duration increases by thirty seconds.

In a non-combative situation, the individual duration is five minutes, and for each additional ally affected, the duration increases by two minutes.

[ Kokuba no Gizoukan ] -- "Fake Interval of the Black Horse" (Sta/-/-)
Sometimes in battle it can be impossible to open up a second front. In cases like this, deception of numbers, distance, and carefully laid traps can be very effective against the enemy, but can also be very difficult to pull off.

This Technique is similar to Kyouryuu no Gasshouki, in that a gas is used to produce effects to confuse the enemy's senses. However, in this Technique, instead of blocking out and cloaking the presences of anyone in the gas cloud, the users "sweat" out Reiryoku that, when reacting with the air, creates a transparent but smoky haze. The haze can either slow down sound, smell, visual cues, etc., or accelerate them. However, the haze needs to reach the enemy also, so initially, once it is created, it'll spread quickly like tear gas, but because of its effects, the opponent(s) won't be able to gauge the actual speed of the spreading mist.

In effect, it makes the users of this Technique appear further away or closer to their opponents depending on the user's will. It can also slow down or speed up other sensory stimulants, such as sound, and distort them as well to create an illusion for the enemy. For example, if the enemy is in the mist along with the user(s), then they could be confused into thinking the 9th division member is far away, lowering their sense of awareness. This can then be used to carry out a semi-surprise attack where one would normally be impossible.

This Technique requires a base of 500 Reiatsu to learn, with a starting maximum radial range of one meter, with an additional meter every 500 more Reiatsu. Individual duration is three rounds. For every additional ally, there is one additional round of duration.

One-on-one circumstances require that the opposition must have Reiatsu equal to or higher than 75% of the user's Reiatsu to see through the illusion. With an additional ally on the user's side, the opposition requires Reiatsu equal to or more than 110% of the average Reiatsu between the two users to see through the illusion. Each additional ally after that adds 10% to the requirement. The cost of this Technique initially comes at 10% Reiatsu, however, with each additional ally, the cost lowers itself by 3%, however, the cost cannot fall below 4% through this cost reduction.

[ Nikutetsu Kaihei ] -- "Flesh-Iron Machine Soldier" (Def/Aur/-)
Some soldiers can keep fighting long past their limits if given the right motivation and tools. This Technique draws upon the Kidou threshold, but on a far higher level. In addition to silencing any pain the user may feel, it also has the added benefit (or disadvantage) of literally putting a person's body in a near-stasis state. For the duration of this Technique, the user may still attack and defend as usual, but if struck by the enemy, no bleeding will occur, or even loss of limbs turning what would normally be a severed arm into a thin cut around the arm. It can let the user essentially walk into a wall of blades without so much as blinking, and still fight just as effectively for the rest of the duration of the Technique. Lost flesh is replaced by spiritual 'muscles' which work just as effectively. However...

If one isn't careful, they can literally fall apart if the effect ends. If they can reach a healer before the time is up, then healing the wounds isn't too great of a problem, with the exception of blast wounds, as the cuts are usually still bloodless, clean, and closed. If they do not, however....they suddenly have to deal with whatever injuries they sustained in full, pain and bleeding included.

This Technique is expensive, requiring at least 8% of one's Reiatsu for each use, with a required minimum Reiatsu level of 5,000 to learn. The time the effects last is in minutes = Reiatsu/5,000. It requires about ten seconds to come into full effect, but its end is a mere three seconds. One moment you might be the strongest fighter on the field... and the next you might be literally lying in pieces.

Injuries incurred upon the user while this Tech is active will cause certain stat penalties to arise. For every marked injury on the legs and/or feet, the user will suffer a -2% to -3% Hohou penalty. For every marked injury on the user's arm(s), a -2% penalty to Zanjutsu/Hakuda will be incurred. For every marked injury on the user's torso, a -2% to -3% Reiatsu/Kidou penalty will be suffered, and for every marked injury on head or neck, a -5% to all stats will be incurred.

NPC: 1st Division, Jun Natsume

Name:
Jun 俊
Written with the character "Genius"

Surname:
Natsume 夏目
Written with the characters "Summer" and "Care"

Age:
682 (looks about 25-30)

Persona:
A known womanizer, he's notorious for being surly, loud, brash, lazy, and unreliable at most times; however when needed, he becomes very dependable. Acting sometimes unintelligent, or crude, he's actually quite the opposite. Friendly to most, everyone, despite their sometimes better judgement, do actually find him to be a good person. A heavy drinker, he can drink just about anyone under the table and could be considered a 'bad influence' to newer shinigami entering into a squadron. To the ones already there, he's a good drinking buddy. Open with anything that comes from his mind and rolls off his tongue, he's also quite defiant, but greatly respects the people who've earned his unending loyalty. Oh, and he likes to complain a lot.

Physical Structure:
A moderately muscular older man who stands at 193 cm and weighs 81.6 kg. His hair is neatly clipped and slicked back while he wears a traditional shinigami uniform that's unusually neat and tidy. He wears his zanpakutou against the small of his back, the weapon looking more like a wakizashi rather than the more traditional katana zanpakutou. Instead of the traditional waraji sandals, he wears a pair of wooden geta slippers, the wooden constructs making him seem even taller. Steely cobalt eyes and brown hair complete the look of a dignified shinigami, however, his stubble and alcohol smell quickly dispell such notions. He's the unofficial big brother of most First Division members!

Brief Biography:
Oldest son of a middle class family in Rukongai's Northern sector, he's the son of a retired medical attendant both in life and death. Killed in a car accident of questionable circumstances, he entered Rukongai and was found by an eccentric shinigami whom was part of the Fourth division medical team. Not a high ranking officer, the older man decided to make Jun his son, as the resemblence to his real son was uncanny.

Entering the academy with originally good intentions, those intentions have been side tracked and jaded since, what with Jun's excessive drinking habits and chasing of skirts.

Still a medcial student at heart, he was assigned to the Fourth division and was among their ranks for many years. Due to a glitch in the paperwork, he was then transferred to the First Division. Instead of complaining about it, Jun decided to stay on, becoming the First Division's one man emergency rescue unit when help from the Fourth was too far away.

Since his joining of the First, he's never attempted nor wanted to rise in rank, and is considered one of the older members of the Division, with a surprising amount of respect. Despite his complaints about the division and his talk of transfer, he loves where he is, where he can best help those who've opened their lives to him. Hell, you might even say he loves people. But never say that to him unless you're speaking of women.

Having practically become Tenshirou's caretaker and best friend in the First Division, since meeting Tenshirou, Jun has mellowed out a bit and is cutting back on his bad habits. Very perceptive of the events surrounding not only Tenshirou but his own personal life as well, he seems to be searching for a mysterious woman(?) whom he only refers to as "she" or "her". Keeping this sort of bad news to himself, he seems bent on searching for this mysterious woman and becomes very aggitated, if not impulsive to locate "her".

Zanpakutou:
Tamashiiou (Spirit King)
魂王

[Sealed Form]
Standard Zanpakutou form, however smaller like a wakizashi, the tsuba depicts a scene of a knight fighting evil spirits.

[Manifestation]
A mummified knight dressed in armor and covered in wounds. The bandages hang from his fingertips and the armor looks to be damaged.

[Shi Kai]
"Yuwaeru, Tamashiiou!" (Bind, Tamashiiou!)
The blade of Tamashiiou splits into 13 thin, extendable bandages. The bandages themselves work like an IV and can work in two directions, feeding spirit energy from Jun to a person, or sapping away spiritual power from them. The more bandages wrapped around an opponent, the harder it becomes for them to escape as it continuously drains their energy. Likewise, the more bandages used upon a wounded ally, the more it drains from Jun. The draining effect doesn't seem to work on Hollows, however, it can be used offensively as a binding, with which Jun may be able to swing them into heavy, solid objects (for instance, the ground).

NPC: 3rd Divison, Charlette Edwards

charlettestanding.gif

Name:
Charlette
Meaning "womanly" or "feminine"

Surname:
Edwards
Meaning "Wealthy Guardian"

Age:
53 (looks about 16)

Persona:
A hot headed, proud, and headstrong young woman, she lives to prove herself. A total tomboy, she prefers the company of rowdy boys and strong women and frowns upon the meek and shy. Able to speak her mind freely, her accent, despite her name, seems Osakan in nature, though a trace of British descent lingers in her voice. Often mistaken for a boy, she's adopted the nickname "Charlie" and usually goes by that. She speaks in a masculine way and most who don't know her think she's just a feminine sounding young boy. Her speaking style is that of a typical Osaka resident. Hiding her femininity, emotionally, she's very closed and will only let her hair down and be a woman in certain circumstances. Despite all this, she considers Tenshirou her rival after he had saved her from a near death Hollow attack.

Physical Structure:
Lean and thin, she stands at 177 cm and is of an unknown weight. Tanned with blond hair and emerald green eyes with just a tint of blue, she'd probably be the heart throb of many of the young, male shinigami, that is, if she didn't kick their butts for staring. Over her chest she bandages herself from her hips to right below her collarbone, more to hide the fact she's a woman, finding that unwanted affectionate attention from males to be distracting. Wearing the traditional shinigami uniform, she wears it as any of the males do and often times it's hard to discern her gender. As standard shinigami procedure, she wears her zanpakutou at her left hip.

Brief Biography:
In life she was one of the dregs of society, a runaway with nothing to look forward to and nothing to look back at. Raised on the streets of Kyoto and originally from Wales, she ran away from home at the age of eleven, after her father remarried. For the next five years she lived on the streets, barely getting through life by stealing.

When she stole from the wrong people, she was kidnapped and beaten. When they found out she was a girl, she had found a way out of her bindings and killed herself before they could do anything further. Upon arrival into Soul Society's Western Rukongai, she immediately went back to her former life of stealing, often times getting into brawls. A lower-caste shinigami noble by the name of Kogenta Rangetsu happened to be visiting the western sector and saw the young girl fighting off several attackers bare handed, breaking their arms, and cursing like a sailor.

The old man without an heir and reminded of his youthful spirit in the girl, decided to take her in, on the condition that she take his family name once he passed away. Agreeing to the conditions, she was trained as a woman of the household of Rangetsu, specializing in the three different samurai forms of weaponry, archery, as well as tea ceremony and flower arrangement. Arranged to join the Shinigami Academy, she got high marks in many of her classes and excelled in most. Graduating earlier than most, she was put into the 4th Division temporarily to help her learn medical arts, which was her best subject.

After nearly being killed by the Hollow, Serptal, she was laid up in the former Fourth Division Medical wing undergoing recovery. After her subsequent encounter with Tenshirou's other self, whom she has no clue of, the relationship between herself and Tenshirou has been confusing and strained to say the very least. Recently however, she's come into good terms with him after his help in avoiding an omiai (Japanese arranged meeting, something like arranging dates / marriages).

Though still confused about her relationship with Tenshirou, she's come to a few realizations as well as a few more confusing things about herself. Recently, she's transferred to the Third division to continue her studies in the medical fields. What the future has in store for her is anyone's guess.

Brunhilde

[Sealed Form]
Standard zanpakutou form, no change.

[Manifestation]
Unknown

[Shi Kai]
"Nakanaide, Brunhilde!" (Don't Cry, Brunhilde!)

Charlette grasps the hilt of her sword as wind circulates around her body. Light also erupts from the sword, a natural reaction when manifesting reiatsu. The wind picks up and Charlette draws a long rod from the sheath at her side. Pushing it forward, the light explodes and reveals a mighty lance. The lance measures about 15 cm wide and a length of 152 cm long, not including the hilt which measures 46 cm. The lance looks much like a traditional knight's lance with a sharp tip and a circular "cone" construct. Around the base of the weapon connecting the stabbing impliment to the hilt, is a circular band which is red in color and carries several jewels around on its face. Just above the band are oval indentations with holes in them, almost like some kind of musical instrument.

Technique:

"Sing, Brunhilde!"

- In using this command, the user's voice is channelled directly into the lance. The sound is then bounced inside of the weapon and compressed into a sphere which is later fired with a thrust of the weapon. The compact sound blast has the capacity to blow holes in walls, depending on the tone and pitch of the user's voice. The sphere usually fired is measured about a foot in diameter and expands quickly like a collision of an oncoming car.

"Hum, Brunhilde!"

- A minor shielding and healing technique. When activated, the lance tunes itself and lets off a resonating vibration that can be heard as a "hum". In doing so, anyone within a three foot radius of Charlette, has their immune system working at 25% higher functionality, as if granting them a stronger healing factor. In addition, when used against an offensive technique, the resonance disperses air quickly in front of Charlette, letting off a sort of sound wall that blocks attacks physical and spiritual, making it a perfect defensive technique. Unfortunately, when hit by a technique or strength that is greater than 3/4ths of her SP, the wall can be destroyed yet will dampen 3/4ths of the damage caused by the attack. Ideally, this technique is only to be used for healing purposes.

NPC: Former Keigun, Jigoku no Banken: Hideki Kagami

Name:
Hideki 栄光
Written with the characters "Honorable" and "Light"

Surname:
Kagami 鏡
Written with the character "Mirror"

Age:
??? (looks about 18-20)

Persona:
Despite his looks, he acts like an older man in his late 70's or 80's. Seen doing activities of men who look three or four times older than he, Hideki is quite the character. Sometimes appearing as an eccentric teacher, father figure, or even a really good friend to those whom he deems worthy, to others whom have gotten on his bad side, an overwhelming spiritual pressure is all that awaits them as well as a set of cold golden eyes. Usually speaking in a very polite form common among Samurai when Kyoto was still the capital of Japan, Hideki is an avid player of go, shogi, chess and checkers, and will sometimes drop everything he's doing if he finds a good opponent. He also enjoys reading, his personal library holding a huge selection of books in different languages. Finally, he loves hot springs, the hotter the better. A stern and perhaps harsh teacher, he trains in the same way he was taught, in the old styles of swordsmanship. His own personal style is that of DenEnshouKen (Lightning Fire Spreading Sword) [電延焼剣].

Physical Structure:
Standing at 167 cm and weighing 48 kg. His hair is long, tied up in a sweeping high ponytail which reaches down by his shoulder blades. Tied off with a red ribbon, it's never in any other style than that. His hair is soft, fine, and looks silk-like, which cascades when he moves. His muscular mass doesn't seem to be much, though muscle is apparent where his flesh is seen. His complexion is slightly paled in comparison to others, making him seem almost like a ghost. Over his forearms and the backs of his hands are armguards made of leather, thin iron plates fitted to mold to his arms, providing protection; the backs of the hand parts bear the kanji for Chaos. He wears a dark blue keikogi over a white keikogi, both tucked into the pure white hakama. On the back of the keikogi, is a five pointed symbol with a circular shape at each point. Inside the circles are kanji for the five Confucian virtues. The sash is also white and wrapped around his waist. He wears black tabi around his ankles and straw sandals which are easily replacible. His eyes are a soft sapphire, which offsets his hair color but the transition isn't unpleasant. His appearance makes it seem as if he were eighteen.

Brief Biography:
A mysterious looking youth, he's actually quite old, having died just before the end of Bakumatsu no Doran. During life he was trained to become one of the greatest swordsman in existance, a style that could take bits and pieces of other styles and incorporate it into their own. Killed before his time, he arrived in Soul Society on the simple fact that he wasn't killing for pleasure or self gain, rather, for duty which exempted him from Hell at the time. Though with his horrendous record, he was immediately transferred to Seireitai, to be constantly watched over.

A believer in the Five Confucian virtues, in life he also followed the four Bushido virtues, despite not being of samurai class. Since his death and subsequent re-evaluation of his priorities, he now only exclusively follows the Five Virtues, finding the four Bushido virtues not only idiotic, but without the Five virtues, their meanings could be perverted and honor smeared.

How old he is, is a complete mystery to those living in Seireitai now, but rumors circulate he was once a Keigun operative in his early days, and to that effect, only the Keigun know for sure. His nickname, to those who remember him from his fighting days, recall him as Jigoku no Banken (Hell's Watchdog) [地獄の番犬]. Currently, he lives a simple life in the farthest corner of Eastern Rukongai with an old swordsmith, Genjirou Yamazaki.

Seeming to gather information not only on Tenshirou but those who are apparently watching him, Hideki seems to feel that there is a greater force at work behind the scenes, to whom it might be, he cannot say for certain. With very little manpower on his own, he appears to be raising Tenshirou to help him, if not succeed him in these endeavors. For now, however, he remains tight lipped about the coming events, and even seems wary his very own surroundings.

[Sealed Form]
A katana with a life all its own, the burning pressure created by the zanpakutou in its sealed form is immense, even without its user. The sheath is a highly decorated laquered black, with golden accents in the shape of flames on the sides. The hilt is the standard length of a zanpakutou and the tsuba is a little different from most, looking like a large wolf head with the blade coming out of its mouth and a a golden chain around its muzzle when not in use. The blade itself is engraved with the kanji for the five elements.

Currently, the sword is out of its sheath, which rests beside it upon a pedestal in the center of Hideki's home, the sword blade looks to be rusty and chipped. Chains around its hilt and blade keep it from being moved, and nine sealing talisman rest over the blade as well as blessed ropes, linked to each side of the corners of its area to create the same seal upon Hideki's back.

NPC: Division Floater, Fai

Name:
Fai
Meaning "Brilliant Light" in Chinese character context

Surname:
None Known

Age:
798 (Looks early 20's) [Though this is what is listed, it's unknown how accurate this is]

Persona:
Laid back and seemingly carefree, his eyes are usually seen either closed or partially open. A very sweet young man known for being helpful, Fai doesn't seem to mind that he 'floats' between Divisions, never staying in one too long and only helps out when needed. Very secretive about his past, he seems quite interested in other people and often times is seen talking to other shinigami. His hobbies, likes, and dislikes are unknown and he seems to want to keep it that way.

Physical Structure:
Standing at 183 cm and weighing about 68 kg, despite his height Fai seems to project a strangely feminine outer look. Not to be confused with crossdressers, Fai seems to be naturally beautiful for a male as handsome wouldn't be the word to do him justice. Though thin and wirey, Fai holds a surprising amount of strength for his body structure which definitely doesn't appear to be much more built than Tenshirou himself. On top of his head, his silver hair seems to compliment the stormy grey-blue eyes he possesses. Donning the standard Shinigami uniform, Fai's uniform doesn't carry an emblem on the inside as he doesn't stay with a division long enough to recieve one.

Brief Biography:
His whole past is a massive mystery, up to this point the only thing known about him is that he does patrols like regular shinigami and is friends not only with Tenshirou, but Charlette as well.
