Name: Lost when Karasu died.
Alias: Karasu (Raven) because of his black hair, and ravens are associated with death.
Age: 18 human, 10 years soul society, total 23 years
Persona:One would have thought that Karasu would have been bossy, being that he was an only child, but his parents wouldn't let him be spoiled. He was brought up with good manners and unless he is angered he will remain polite and never try to offend anyone. Karasu has a chivalrous attitude towards those he is around. He reveres women, and will never intend to disrespect one. He tries to protect those that he can.
Like a child he is often easily distracted, but not for long;he always gets back on track. Karasu is a bit idealistic, which came from his endless reading on Earth. When he is not doing official Shinigami work he can often be found reading a book. It is nearly impossible to contact him while he is reading, for he is receding into the depths of his mind; blocking out everything around him while he reads. It will take a few tries to contact him.
Karasu has an addiction to books; when he sees someone else reading, he will ask to see the book. If he has read it before, he will give his thoughts on it. If he hasn't, he asks to see the summary and reads it quickly before he gives it back. Karasu is uncomfortable when meeting new people, but opens up to them quickly.
Bio: When Karasu lived in the human world, he was the child of two doctors. They were both from Greece, but moved to Japan for what they believed would be a better life for Karasu. His family was exceedingly wealthy, so he was pampered. By being their only child, he could have gotten anything he wanted. But Karasu did not care for a rich life; all he wanted to do was read. If you wanted to find him during the day, he could often be found reading in the library, with piles of books from the fiction section next to him. He had always dreamed of doing heroic feats, protecting the weak; themes professed in fantasy. But he felt he couldn't help or make a difference. One day, he died. His parents could not see how after examining his corpse. There were no signs of sickness, or disease. How Karasu died will always be a mystery. They had a funeral, and buried his body. But he remained on Earth as a plus soul. And there he remained for sometime...
Appearance:When one normally thinks of a bookworm, Karasu is not who comes to mind. For one thing, he is fit and in shape. He is also of the lanky build. While Karasu is not the tallest of the tall, he isn't short at all. He is 5'10" and weights 145 lbs.
His face is a curious thing. He has naturally black hair and white eyes. Those two are not commonly found on a person. He isn't blind though either, although his eyes would suggest it The color of his skin is an olive color, slightly pale from reading inside the library all the time. He always has a curious smile on his face, derived from his love of learning.
Division: Karasu would like to join the 5th.
Zanpakutou:Karasu's zanpakutou looks like an average katana. It is about 28 inches long, and the sheath is black. There are markings on the sheath with a message unknown. It is written in an unknown language, and appears to be illegible. There is only one other difference in appearance to other zanpakutou: its slightly cracked hilt. The crack is not very deep, but it makes it harder for him to hold it. He bound extra tassel around the crack, making a larger, but sturdier grip.

The One With No Name awoke startled. He was having such a nice dream about speaking to his parents about getting his drivers license. He awoke to a thunderous noise. He looked around timidly.
"Is anyone there?" His white eyes moved from side to side, scanning the area for any signs of movement. The room was dead silent.
But of course, no one answered. The One With No Name (as he liked to call himself) was dead. He had been dead for three months now, and had no hope of returning to the living. Then he heard another noise. It sounded like a shriek of rage and pain.
"I should see what it is, just in case."
He picked up his chain, protruding from the hole in his chest. He picked most of it up, and started walking. His feet hit the ground, and he reminisced about what he had been doing the last three months. But it wasn't much. His last three months have been long confused months.
When he died, first there were only broken dreams. At the time his soul rose out of his body, he looked on where his spirit used to reside with horror. He was shocked. When his chain, concecting his body and his soul, split in half he knew he was truly dead. Realizations flooded to his head. He had dreams, dreams of never being heard again, never being seen, never living again, never marring, having children, or driving. But now nothing was possible. He would never be able to do anything again. It was overwhelming.
The second month of being dead came. The One With No Name was overcome with wild hope. It was unreasonable of course, but he was still in shock over being dead. He had hope; hope of returning to the living, being seen by is family, hope of his dreams coming true. But as more time went by, his hope faded, faded slowly away.
With the third month came acceptance. He stood there, lost in thought. But another shriek came, so he quickly came to attention. He recalled the situation at hand, and quickly rushed outside. He was in shock. There were two figures, clad in black samurai gis, each holding a sword looking different. But that's not what most surprised him. A giant bat like creature was attacking them. It shot out a giant energy blast out of its mouth, and it made a crater in the ground. When he looked around at the living people, he could see that no one else was able to see the bizarre fight, albiet they were scared. They could see the crater. The living people ran, screaming how they would repent! So he ran over there to try to help the "samurais".
He observed the situation at hand, trying to evaluate what he saw. One of the men was fighting with his sword, trying to bat away the creature, while the other appeared to be casting spells.
'Maybe one day I could do that too.'
"Can I be of any assistance?"
The man that was casting spells halted for a few seconds. He looked at the monster, and than at The Nameless One.
"What are you doing here? Go!"
And with that, he struck the One With No Name in the head with his sword's hilt.
The Nameless Spirit felt a startling sensation, and blacked out. When he awoke, it looked like he was in a feudal era of Japan. He was shocked. He tried to take in all the details, but it was too much.
"Where am I?" he pondered aloud.
A little girl and her mother walked by.
"Look mommy, another new one!" she shouted waving her arms frenzidly in the air. She giggled and laughed, and skipped around the Nameless Spirit.
The mother replied, " It's not nice to point dear." She pulled back her daughter, and put her hand over her daughters mouth, apologizing through motions.
The daughter pulled her mothers hand off her mouth and responded, "But he looks creepy! His black hair, and white eyes; I'm scared mommy!" She started screaming randomly and running in circles. The mother grabbed her daughter, and pulleed her away onto the path again, saying how she was so embarrased! She scolded her daughter, and shot the Nameless One an apologetic look. "Why me," she said under her breath.
'I need a name. I just died, and I'm alive again. Well my hair is really black, and I died. Ravens are associated with death and have black feathers. That could work.'
"Hmm," the One With No Name muttered, "Karasu. I kinda like the sound of that."
So he assumed the name Karasu. He continued walking down the road, until he came upon a town. The town was Rukongai district 60, a district very far away from Central Sereitei. The instant Karasu entered his mind was assaulted by what he saw.
He saw some men, in torn clothes, running and carrying a young girl away to use her for pleasure. The girl's blond hair was trailing in the wind, the men snickering at how she tried to escape. Karasu also saw many young children running frenziedly across the street, throwing rocks into stores, stealing food and clothes. The shopkeepers yelled loudly at the children, their faces red and their words sharp.
Karasu quickly leaped into action to try and save the girl. His feet pushed off the ground, pushing sand into the air. He leapt through the air with ease. He was surprised for he could not jump that high on earth. He landed a kick on the leaders face. The men looked around with a questioning look on their face. "Does this kid think he can take us on?" they thought.
It seemed like he could. His natural abilities on Earth seemed to have multiplied by 1.5x. It was as if he was a new person. He leapt in a rage, and aimed a kick at the man's chest.
The man stepped aside, slightly afraid, wondering if it was a warning blow, or he actually dodged the blow. While the other bandits were distracted, Karasu quickly pushed away the two bandits carrying the girl, and puller her to her feet.
"We've got to go! We don't have much time!" Karasu vehemently said.
He pulled the girl along the road, pushing down stalls and booths to the ground to try and halt the pursuers. The girl's long golden hair flowed, and it looked like the bandits would know where to go because of it. The bandits leapt over the booths, halting a tiny bit each time. Karasu quickly leapt into an alley, and pulled the girl with him, hiding behind trash cans until the bandits walked by. Her hair settled, and and shined wth the light of the sun. He quickly covered the girls mouth and his own.
"Not a word," he mouthed.
The sound of footsteps slowly faded. The bandits grunted, and left looking for better sport.Karasu helped the girl to her feet. The girl averted her eyes to the ground. She started to speak but paused, and took a big breath-- "My name is Usagi, and thanks for helping me, bye!" she said hurriedly, and started running away.
"Wait! Don't go!"
She stopped in mid-stride and said, "Please make it quick, if they are still looking and if it takes too long they could find me."
Karasu was surprised, but didn't let it show.
"I only have one question. Where am I?"
Usagi was shocked. "What do you mean where are you? Do you mean the district? We are in the 60th district."
Karasu shook his head, drawing a deep breath.
"Oh you're new here, interesting." she whispered, trembling. "We are in Soul Society, where many souls go after they die; here take this."
She gave him a book titled: So You Are in Soul Society! Karasu quickly skimmed the chapters and when he looked up Usagi was gone! He looked at the front of the book, and a post-it was there.
So Karasu took her advice, and stayed in district 60. While there he witnessed many horrible crimes that only made his convictions stronger. He began to revere those delicate loving creatures known as women. He attempted to save more people, sometimes succeeding, and sometimes failing. Those failures only made his beliefs stronger. He struggled, and struggled, and helped all that he could. But he was only one person, and one person can not save everyone.
For a strange reason, Karasu was getting hungry. He found food sometimes and was offered food for helping, but of late there was no food to be obtained. He begged for food but no one would give him any. He was starting to starve. One day, when a shinigami was doing work, he walked into Karasu's path.
"Can you give me some food?" Karasu promptly asked. Then he fell to the ground, fainting from hunger.
When he awoke, he was lying in a bed in a well-furnished room, with a hot meal beside him.
"Oh good you're awake," said the nurse, " Congratulations, you have been accepted to the Shinigami academy. Will you please fill out these forms?"
He complied, and filled out the forms. The nurse left the room, and smiled.
"Good luck."
The book snapped shut, and Karasu closed it with a glint in his eyes.
"What a nice story."
He yawned and rubbed his eyes.
"Time for sleep."
He fluffed his pillow, and went to sleep, not knowing what was in store later for him.

With lots of hope now,
