Lumino City

A charming little point-and-click game where you take on the role of Lumi as she makes her way through the wild mechanical world of Lumino City. She is searching for her grandfather, who is lost somewhere inside. Along the way, she’ll make friends with the residents and help fix the broken parts of the city.

Find it at Steam.

Welcome to Lumino City

I played this game a while ago and don’t have any screenshots. Therefore, all screenshots here are from the official Steam store page.

The game is calming and fun to get through. It has an adorable style that makes me interested to see what’s next. You start at the main entrance and slowly work your way through the city. It soon becomes apparent that things are breaking down everywhere, but Lumi is a great mechanic!

By fixing things, you’ll both advance on in the city and help out with the residents.

Safety standards seem to be lacking.

The puzzles are varied. Some are simple, some are more involved. Being a mechanic, the game is all about how to fit things together to make them work. Sometimes, its gears. Other times, its tape tracks. Once, even music.

There were a few that I got frustrated at, but I think most of them were pretty good. The puzzles fit in well with the colorful tone of the world.

Ahoy there, matey!

Lumino City is a fantastic backdrop. It’s more wild and varied than one might expect. Each screen is filled with intrigue and detail. A lot of times, I wondered how things fit together at all. You travel to a lot of different locations, from apartments to down by the ocean.

Relax with a game of pinball.

The game isn’t too long. I found it a good length. You traverse through all of the city, meeting inhabitants and making friends. Along the way, you find out about the mysterious Lumino City and why it was built in such a haphazard way in such a crazy location.

I’m not even sure what this does anymore.

The ending is fantastic. It shows you’re entire path through the city, you get to see how everything comes together. I got a magical feeling being able to see my entire journey through on massive view. It’s the culmination of Lumi’s journey through all of the fantastic locations and charming puzzles.

Lumino City is a nice little point and click game.  It has a charming style, gentle music. It’s a nice place to relax in. Find it on Steam.
