Note for Spectators
So if you want to spectate, the spar will continue regardless of if you write or not, but if you do want to write spectating the match, feel free to hop in.

The fight
Van, let's get the show on the road, shall we?

The young mystic was standing in the center of the tournament ring, waiting for his adversary. The boy hadn't heard much of him, only that this man had recently joined the division. There was a certain reason that the young mystic had chosen the tournament grounds as the place of the spar. I want to fight with you, Kami no Yari, the boy mused to his spirit, who replied with a quiet and very uncharacteristic purr of agreement. The boy felt exciment and at the same time slightly nervous, after all the tournament grounds had a very good view for the spectators to watch him and even though there was none to be found yet, it still troubled him slightly.

Hearing footsteps the boy turned to look at the arrival.

"Hello, my name is Sharukas Hisoka, I assume you are to be my opponent?"

[144]

"WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" The jubilant noise came from the form of a dark-haired shinigami as he came whisking up the the lower lip of the stadium. In a moment his foot was planted on the cusp of the spectator's wall before his strong legs propelled him forward and down towards the arena proper. Face a mask of a maniacal grin, current of the air sending ripples through his robes and hair into a mess, the golden eyes of the new arrival focused on the man below.

So much that when Creed overshot his mark, his head turned to keep staring, despite the forthcoming tumble and roll that sent up a cloud of debris and sand at his impact. A moment later the Mystic was on his feet and strutted over to the shinigami who had asked him here, thrusting out his hand. "Creed."

[141]

As Hisoka watched the other shinigami leap over and make a rather eccentric arrival upon the stage, the young mystic's thoughts considered that mystic to be rather interesting fellow, but the main note he was able to discern from the arrival was that Creed had speed, which in turn would probably mean that he had the stamina to keep up.

Hisoka surely was in for a tough fight atleast from what he could tell. Shaking the dark-haired shinigami's hand, he commented, "That was quite the leap, Creed-san," walking seven meters away, Hisoka turned back to look at his opponent and drew his zanpakutou. Raising it up directly in front of his own face, he turned the weapon so that it was positioned vertically between his hands.

"Lunge, Kami no Yari!" the weapon in the boy's hands began to glow in bright light and it's form warping and twisting to form a six foot long crimson spear, with a one foot long black tip. Hisoka grabbed his new weapon firmly and positioned it ready for an upward slash.

"Ready, whenever you are, Creed-san."

[182/326]

After blinking thrice at the sudden release of a zanpakutou, the golden-eyed youth eased up over his shoulder and slid his unnamed zanpakutou from its sheath. "You aren't playing around, are you? I get the suspicious feeling the boss put you up to this, she must be really pissed at me for something." Heaving a light sigh, the youth twisted his body into an odd contortion, right hand gripping the hilt of the skewed, crimson sword in an apprentice's grip, the left splaying out and putting his palm to the flat of the blade.

"And she's even making me fight someone with a release, fuck me." The last words were a ruse, even if they were a part of his true feelings. His enemy handled his zanpakutou with supreme confidence, and it would possess a superior range to his own. There was only one thing to do: charge straight in. And so he did, using shunpo to dash at his compatriot and temporary enemy.

It wasn't a normal shinigami's shunpo technique. It had no purpose in bringing him close to Hisoka, instead, he aimed through him. Flat of the blade leading the way, it was a battering ram meant to smash his opponent in a harsh collision with a relatively small surface area. And at the same time hopefully prevent the young Mystic from loosing a leg in the counter attack that would come from a more traditional approach.

It was also utterly risky. He had no idea what this man's abilities, let alone his release's abilities were.

Fast! Was all that Hisoka could think as his adversary disappeared before his eyes. And in the next moment he felt something slamming into his abdomen with almost crushing pressure. The force of the impact sent the young mystic flying few feet backwards and made him almost lose grip of his weapon completely, however in a gasp of strength the boy was able to hang on to his zanpakutou with one hand as he slid across the surface.

Such speed that it was almost unreal, there would be no way that he could keep up. Mind racing the young boy slowly rose up, the possibilities to counteract that speed of Creed. Grabbing his spear with his left hand, the mystic pointed at Creed with his open palm.

"Spinner of fate, unwind and cast yourself, Bakudou number four, Hainawa!" The golden rope of kidou energy sprouted out of it's caster's hands and made its way towards Creed's legs.

[157/483]

My head, the youth complained internally. The collision was good, but didn't go quite to plan. Creed managed to ram his enemy to the ground, however, he also managed to smash his own head against the flat of his zanpakutou, stunning him long enough to remain still while the pair were briefly entangled.

The daze broke when he heard the sound, and felt the power of kidou being incanted. He had not the sense to discern what, exactly, would be unleashed, but he did remember what next he hoped to do. "Atlas forbids Hermes' will. Bakudou number six, Tensoku."

He was slower in the use of kidou than his adversary, but, in this case it did not matter, the ropes of the bakudou only constricted his lower body. A worm-like flopping of his two bound legs sufficiently completed the spell.

"Hah, unlike the rope, that can't be cut!" With that, the Mystic began sawing and hacking in semi-futility at his restraints.

"Frankly, that doesn't matter," the boy calmly claimed as the binding took its effect, feeling the pull of gravity upon his leg much stronger than it normally was. Gripping his zanpakutou, the weapon faded out of the duo's sight, Hisoka still feeling the weight of his weapon as he dashed towards Creed and lunged with his weapon aiming at his abdomen, which was what he assumed would be the hardest place to dodge his strike.

Ability used

Ability 1 - ”Fading Lunge”
When activated the whole zanpakutou disappears from sight by concealing itself in a coat of reiatsu. It takes 4% of Hisoka's reiatsu to activate and 2% per turn to keep this ability active. There is a slight ripple in the air around the edge of the weapon, but regardless the weapon is very difficult to detect.
