At first, Marcus felt like Rafa had gone insane. He came to this assumption as soon as he noticed that the bartender was moving towards Myrias'. Having not taken as much damage as the others, which was mainly thanks to staying behind Masato, he planned on making a run for it. There was no more that they could do. The phrase, the bigger they are, the harder they fall, didn't work for this situation. Even with their combined forces, they were nowhere close to taking out the gillian.

Nick was out, which surprised him. Ever since they had encountered each other, it had struck Marcus that the blond was a die-hard kind of guy. He didn't know that it took this much to finally make him stop. He sighed with relief after watching Nick breathing, albeit a bit slower. Meanwhile, Chiyo was still invisible, so it was hard to guess where she was and what her condition was.

Finally, Masato.. who had risked so much just to reinforce Marcus's dumb plan. As he bent down to pick up Masato's scarred body, Rafa approached him. He assumed that the new Orpheus recruit was going to help him, but his first assumption was probably correct.

"Ahhhhh," Marcus screamed, prepared to push away the bartender, but the look he received from Rafa was enough. Right then, he knew what the guy was planning, so.. he played along with it. Of course, he made sure to not exaggerate it too much.

It was a desperate attempt; this was all they could do. Even though their time in Hueco Mundo didn't last long, he was at least delighted to know that he didn't die alone. His comrades were with him, and that was more than he could ask for..

Myrias squinted to see the effects of her latest attack, when a vision of symmetry, covered in red, beautiful blood emerged from the rain of glass. Granted Myrais’ symmetry was superior, but symmetry nonetheless.

It was munching on the one who kept pontificating! How delightful! Myrias clapped happily and stroked her hair, her left head getting jealous looks from her right. “Save some of that morsel for us, symmetrical one!” She screeched joyfully.

"We shall split it, of course!" The right head declared. "With perfect symmetry. You must always give a share to your other," she instructed Rafa gravely, and reached a hand to daintily grasp one of Marcus' arms between her claws.

Dainty or not, the tips dug in and drew blood. "We can divide him in half, you see! On the count of two." The claws squeezed a bit tighter.

"One, two!" Myrias cried and pulled on the human with a mighty heave.

"Why how thoughtful of you!" the bartender exclaimed in convincing glee. Likely because this wasn't an act. As weird as it was, Myrias was growing on him.

It was working! Through the joys of having an Other - never mind that that 'Other' was someone else's inanimate, decrepit cranial remains - Rafa had successfully charmed the symmetrical cutie-pie. His plan was a huge success! Well, for the most part, at least. There was still the whole 'eating Marcus' part. To be perfectly honest, the bartender hadn't even taken this possibility into consideration...because his plan didn't go much farther than taking a bite out of his fellow Orpheus agent. It was a little hitch, but Rafa was used to things like this. They'd make it out okay. Bloody and on the verge of death, and likely with fewer limbs attached, but they'd be okay.

He grabbed the other half of Marcus, and could feel his quick heartbeat in his hands. Rafa squeezed tighter as he felt Myrias pull at his comrade. And then even tighter still as the boy showed all the visible signs of pain in his face - clenched teeth, eyes wincing, a crimson complexion. Tighter...and then he let go.

As if he was launched by a catapult, the young man was launched from the hollow's grasp...for the most part, at least. The bartender used the confusion of this sudden blasting off to make his retreat like the rest of the bloodied up group. And he did so with a tear in his eye - after realizing the wisdom of plurality, Rafa would actually miss Myrias.

He turned around to look at her one last time before following the Espada leader's path.

Myrias twin heads followed the delicious projectile into the distance and she slithered after it, but halted remembering that she had been ordered to stay with her group. With a sad noise she slammed her four hands on the ground.

She turned back to the other plural one but found he was gone along with his friends. She roared into the air, partly from irritation and partly from having her heart double-broken.
