It is before the time of death when can choose to accept his life as is and pass on without regrets. But what about those who never had that chance or those who would still deny their sins even within the afterlife? Where do those poor souls go that refused to turn from their ways and continue to do evil? We cannot be sure to these things until our time has come. One thing that we do know for certain is that death is unpredictable and is not partial to anyone.
Reshin Izukawa was no exception to this. Now let us travel through the life time of the shinigami before his time of passing into the afterlife. It was a dark and stormy night where thunder and lightning endlessly struck the earth as it appeared. In the midst of all this a young man no older than twenty years old could be seen walking across the sidewalk. Adorned in his usual all black get up, Reshin made his way through the torrential down pour. He didn't even really seem bothered by the obvious death hazard that was possible electrocution. Then again though what would be the chances of that?
Turning the corner of a nearby intersection he continued his 'stroll' through the area. Who could've known where he was headed at the time. When lightning had struck once more the light for that split second revealed Reshin's heartless stare. It was the same look he had dawned for most of his life. It had already been well documented among his fellow peers that he was obviously different then most, but rather then accept him for his 'unique' qualities they shunned him instead.
As a result he learned to suppress his emotions which had been gathering ever since he was a small child. You could probably suggest that he had endured quite a bit not being able to connect with anyone. His own parents even abandoned him and he had been alone ever since. So much for parental support. He viewed himself as an unnecessary existence that had no purpose other than survive to see what the next day would bring.
But like every other day this one was uneventful and brought nothing but more suffering. Although it wasn't as if he expected anything good to happen anyways. Spotting a bench in a park not too far away he decided it best to take a break before moving out again. Making sure he was all alone he hopped the gate in front of the park and laid himself out across the oak wood structure.
I wonder why people seem to hate the rain so much? Its not like it could hurt anyone. But people seem to fear it as if it could. If only they could see the beauty in it all.
The drenched male seemed to be at ease in the down pour. After all it was so peaceful, despite the roaring thunder, it was all soothing to the docile loner. He almost looked as if he enjoyed it all, but even in his moment of serenity his inner essence was in total chaos. His own humanity, or rather what was left of it, gave the impression that it would soon fade away and the now calm man would erupt without warning.
I wonder if people understood the nature of a storm would they appreciate it more. Maybe even think of it as something necessary rather than something of pure inconvenience.
Ah the insanity was kicking in again. At least it was one of the many things that kept him occupied in times like these. What else would you expect of someone rejected by society? The ominous looking dark clouds, constant streaks of lightning terrorizing the landscape, the winds that threatened to kidnap anyone who was caught in it. It was all natural to Reshin, and even invited by him at times.
But I suppose that that could never happen given that people always seemed to look down on anything that was potentially a threat to them. I guess if the storm has no other friend because of this fact then perhaps I could be it.
The estranged man then heard a few rustles of leaves as the rain subsided. He figured it was probably a squirrel or something inspecting the wet landscape. Then a loud crash was heard as giant foot prints were left in the ground, but nothing was seen that made it.
I wonder what that could that be?
And that's when it happened........
