Making very little effort in reading the final few pages, the young academic was uncharacteristically unfocused with the book that he was reading; made even stranger by the fact that it had almost finished. There were very few pages left and he found himself only reading because he felt he needed to complete the book; the actual location of the final battle as the Shinigami had stated as being found in the Night of Indignation had already been fought in and passed. Sho was in effect reading the epilogue now and finally as his eyes rushed down the last page (certainly soaking in all of the information despite this) he slammed the book shut, satisfied but frustrated at the same time. The book had been wonderful but he'd been craving to go and immediately hunt for the location mentioned in the book.

Rushing out the door, the enthusiastic young adventurer was met with the stern and disapproving face of his superior Andrago. "Where might you be going?" he question rather formally, knowing well the intentions of his understudy. "I do believe that you're shift is due to start soon."

"It's been a slow day," Sho countered, "You've been sitting at the counter reading all day, not a single customer "" not even for a chat "" surely I can be allowed this chance on a day like this?"

He edged closer and closer to Andrago and stood, staring at him. Their eyes locked in combat for several seconds before Andrago shifted his leg a little. Taking this as a sign of defeat, Sho pushed past the angered Andrago with a grin and rushed out the door with his equipment tucked nicely into a backpack.

"You can't just run out like that!" Andrago barked, grabbing at a book and tossing it at Sho in an attempt to hit him and stop him from fleeing. "I've had my shift! It's your shift now!"

"Oh, but I already have run out," Noboru replied, smiling and nimbly dodging the projectile. He could have turned and insulted and aggravated Andrago some more but he doubted that he would not face any further repercussions and he certainly wanted to rush to his next location as quickly as possible.

Remembering what he'd read, this was supposedly the last of this now dead Shinigami's tales. It would also appear that this book was less cleverly hidden than the other and that merely knowing of it's "" most likely very carefully hidden "" location was all that was needed to find this book and more importantly the clue to the final, hidden treasure he'd been promised in the beginning.

He'd packed lightly and had finally arrived at his desired location. Moving around carefully he realised that the area itself was quite expansive but was virtually exactly the same as the detail it had been described in whilst he had been reading Night of Indignation.

It was here he would find the third and final book the clues had assured him; the location of the treasure would indeed be in the third and final book and his little "˜quest' would be complete.

Oh how he had enjoyed the hunt so far, so tantalisingly fantastic. Making very little effort to move, Sho scanned around the area, the amateur mechanic both excited yet frustrated from a lack of results. He was just about to audibly express his dissatisfaction when a rock with strange stains "" stains from heavy bleeding long ago "" attracted his attention. Remembering the final chapters of the book, he vividly recalled the scene in which the enemy commander had been slain; impaled viciously through an alabaster rock forever corrupting it and turning it a vicious shade of blood red (he'd quite enjoyed that part).

Rushing towards said rock, he tripped and slid across the reaming metre and came to a stop and his left knee brushed up against the notorious icon from the novel and he gushed happily. The young makeshift mechanic threw open his backpack and retrieved a small spade head. Holding it out in front of him with the back section facing away and using both of his hands he pushed a button forward towards the "˜on' label and a pole shot out from the back; a compact shovel. Damn I'm good he thought.

Digging viciously it took him only several swipes before he saw the cover of the book; hastily covered up very near the surface he observed. He began clawing at the reaming dirt with his hands "" covered by gloves "" and roughly removed the book from its burial mound. Scanning the title he was met without one and he opened the book, glancing at one particular page which held at the top a date and below it was a very informal account of some events; this was indeed the journal that he had been trying to find.

He quickly slammed the book shut and tossed it into his backpack before flicking the switch towards "˜off' on his shovel "" retracting it "" and throwing that back in also. He kicked the overturned dirt roughly back into its correct place and jumped on it a little to flatten it before hoisting his backpack into the location of its namesake and rushing back towards the village proper.

No doubt Andrago and Kaver would angrily be awaiting his return but that did not matter now; however, the quicker that he got back the less punishment he expected to receive.

Turning around the corner he came face to face with a disgruntled Andrago. "So, did you at least get what it was that you wanted?" Andrago asked acidly, pointing towards the seat at the counter of their store, indicating what he expected Sho to do.

"Yeah, I got it. Should only be at the most one more trip after this before I get what it is that I want," Sho explained, taking his place at the counter and turning to face Andrago who stood shaking his head.

"Well then, if it's so important to you that you feel the need to avoid work then you'd better hope "" for your sake "" that it turns out to be some awesome hidden treasure." Andrago dismissed the situation with a wave of his hand and headed inside, slamming the door as he did so.

"Awesome hidden treasure?" Sho mused quietly to himself, ignoring the line of customers in front of him who looked rather frustrated, "Why yes, I think it will be," he thought positively.
