Persona: Yuuzen has an upbeat attitude most of the time. Always ready with a warm smile in greeting. The more passionate someone is when talking to him the more intently he focuses on what they are saying, while making constant eye contact. At times he gets overly excited when it is raining, trying to drag everyone around him out in it to "play with nature" as he puts it. Sitting on a hill looking at the clouds, sunrise, sunset, or pretty much anything involved with nature, is something he will often be found doing.
Easily distracted with lectures, Yuuzen can be found staring off at nothing or lost in thought. He has a desire to be more serious but finds it very distracting at times and is constantly at work trying to improve upon it. When he gets caught being distracted he apologizes, but berates himself when alone for being a fool once again.
Physical Stature: Not an extremely tall person Yuuzen stands at 5'10" . He appears to have a healthy weight for his height, as if he keeps a proper diet. Yuuzen exercises normally but without the intensity to define his muscles. His dark blue hair reaches his shoulders when not pulled back into a high, tight ponytail. When the sun hits his hair the right way it takes on a metallic sheen. His eyes are a pale blue with gold flecks around the pupil. His arms, legs and chest are covered with scars from his childhood mock battles in the forest. On his left shoulder blade he has a black tattoo of a scale, representing justice.
Biography: As long as he can remember Yuuzen and his friends were having mock battles in the woods behind their apartments. His favorite tactic was to climb into a tree and drop from one of the branches onto his friends. At school he didn't fair so well, he was distracted often, didn't study, and looked out the windows imagining the next "Overlord" he would defeat.
During his high school years, he joined all clubs dealing with the outdoors. He attempted a lot of the sport teams but lost interest in most of them, the only one he enjoyed was cross country track. Barley passing he did not apply to go to a college, which displeased his parents.
He worked at an animal shelter; he could never help feeling bad for strays. One day while walking home from work he saw an injured cat in the road, not thinking he walked right into traffic to go get it. The last thing he remembered before waking in Soul Society was two bright lights.
Zanpakutou: Yuuzen's Zanpakuto is a Chinese machete, which he wears across the small of his back; it is just under four feet in length. The blade seems slightly rusted, but no matter how much he cleans it, the rust never seems to fade. The hilt, oak covered with hematite has the symbol for justice engraved in silver on the right side. His sheath is made from black walnut with no distinguishing marks on it.
