It's good to see you writing again, Rob. This chapter took a strange turn and I would guess this is as close as Rosa comes to... romantic? You did a fantastic job of creating a foreboding and unsettling atmosphere, emphasizing sounds. Rosa seems as twisted as ever, and I'm kind of glad to see Melina back in some fashion, although I suspect it's not as complete as Rosa is suggesting, since she does want Melina's servitude. Unless that's just how Melina was, I suppose. The whole thing comes off as creepy and that's how I expect most things with Rosa are doomed to end up.

I'm curious what significance the night of tranquil mist has.
