AIM: sled man 383
Name: Buck Pearson
Age: 28
Personality:
Buck is a friendly outgoing person. It makes him happy whenever he can help someone out with something. He is often aware of his surroundings and likes to offer help to anyone he sees in need, especially if it involves carrying things or mechanical assistance. He is also the type of person that once he starts something, he feels driven to finish it successfully.
The man has actually come a long way over the years in terms of personality. As a youth, mostly during his premilitary years, he was hot tempered, arrogant, impatient, stubborn, and self centered. Over the years after the military and some life experiences got a hold of him, he learned patience, grew more even tempered, and began to be concerned about others around him. He strives towards being a better person but sometimes his stubborn streak shows and in an argument he sometimes still comes off as arrogant.
The veteran views fighting in two ways. The first is for sport. As in a pair or group of friends sparring for fun with no "evil" intent. No one actually intent on damaging another individual. The second is real life fighting. The type for survival, dominance, and or etc... He finds much enjoyment in the first type of fighting but get's very little satisfaction or enjoyment out of the second. He does not enjoy hurting others, even if he dislikes them. He will only engage in the second type when he can rationalize it as a necessary evil and something that needs to be done. Then he is willing to engage. Once he has decided in his own mind that it must be done, and has engaged, then he will do whatever it takes to win.
Physical Description:
The burly man is 5’11” 260 lbs (180cm 127kg). He is slightly overweight but it is somewhat apparent that he lifts for exercise. He’s too busy to go to the gym more than once or twice per week so he hasn’t achieved a build like a body builder but he’s got some mass. Also he walks with a slight limp in his left leg due to a past injury.
He likes to wear simple cloths, usually military style BDU pants and a sleeveless T-shirt. He likes dark as well as pastel colors for his clothing. In the winter time he simply adds a large parka to his usual get up.
Bio:
As a child he grew up in America near the east coast but far enough inland that he wasn’t near the ocean. He went to public school where he spent most of his time being bullied, picked on, and ridiculed by other students. He did have loving parents that took good care of him at home, but school was hell for the child. By the time he made it to High School and puberty started kicking in, he took up weight lifting. The young man mostly did it so that the bullies would leave him alone. It worked marvelously. He grew in muscle mass just enough that people started to leave him alone; and he didn’t have to fight anyone either to prove anything. That was a major turning point in his life socially.
The young man found himself being more popular and more accepted by his peers. He soon met the love of his life as a junior in high school. They dated on into buck’s senior year which is when she died in a tragic car accident. Her car got squirrelly on a wet road and went over a bank into a river.
Buck went into a depressive state for a while. He had been planning on going into college and pursuing a professional career in order to support a family. After the unfortunate turn of events he chose to go into the military. He joined the infantry where he volunteered to go into Ranger School. He passed through near the bottom of his class, just above the ones that dropped out due to physical injury, but still a ranger none the less.
As an Army Ranger he went on three different missions into enemy territory running support for black ops groups until he got struck in the left leg with a round from a Kalashnikov AK-47. The young soldier was sent home with a purple heart and an honorary discharge due to a crippling injury.
After his brief military service the veteran decided he’d like to travel around the world. He saw some nice places and various countries but he soon found himself in Tokyo Japan, out of money, and looking for work. He got the proper work permits for a non citizen and then he applied with the local police, but as a foreigner and with his injury he was unable to get a job there. However the foreigner soon found a job with a local security company as a private contractor. He is currently working for them and trying to become a citizen of Japan.
The reason the veteran decided to stay in Japan and work on his career as a security guard, is because he decided he was going to change his life up and become a productive individual rather than a traveling bum. He had been using his veteran status and his injury as a personal excuse with himself. He made the decision to take responsibility for himself while in Japan and didn’t want to wait and travel somewhere else before he got started.
He's been living in Tokyo for three years completely unaware of the spirit world around him. He's been studying the local language for two and a half years while working as a security guard.
