Yeah, that's right. Now, following approval of your writing in terms of the application, applicants are required to be interviewed by one of the RPG Application Approvers. If they get the mark as a good community player, then you're in. I'll be adding a bit to the staff so that we can have that happen at better speed.
Does the app reviewer interview in the application thread or by PM? Also I haven't seen anyone but Ururu accept applications so where are the rest of the RPG Application Approvers?
From what I can tell, it would probably be via IM since that's a large part of being part of the RP community. And also, simply put, people tend to be more formal on the forums or even in PMing, so to get a good feel for an applicant, IM would be best. As for your second question, that's what Wind means. He's going to add other members to applicant staff to help speed things along.
i think it'd be great if all the captains acted as reviewers and interviewers for their respective divisions. kinda like creating a seperate thread for each division and having prospects put their applications in seperately so they don't stack up and also speed the process.
and for those who aren't aware of what division they wanna join, put their applications in wind's thread since he personally recruits his members.
anyways just a thought, but i like the new application process as well...keep up the good work wind and co.
My fault, I never really thought about the captains other responsibilities. But yeah, I already knew that Wind hand picks recruits, what I was saying was that because nobody is allowed to apply for 1st division, if the applicant didn't know what division they wanted, then they would put their applications in Wind's thread so he would decide where to place them. I wasn't implying that they would go into 1st division because they had no place else to go. I apologize if I wasn't clear before.
But yeah lol I haven't been accepted yet so my opinion doesn't hold much weight I know.
Well as for that, there are people who comment on the applications like Foulball, the captains and myself to name a few. They actually give you suggestions on which division you should go. So it really isn't needed. ^__^
I see, lol well I was only a little curious and unsure because I only received 2 suggestions over like 3 weeks lol, and I couldn't really tell if that meant mine was ready to be submitted or was just that bad that nobody wanted to comment on it. Then I thought it might be because nobody had time to get to it and that's what led to my theory on seperate division threads lol.
The decisions on staff appointments are done by Wind, and pretty much Wind only. He's not an idiot, he knows what he's doing (despite all of the fluffy peanut-butter wind-ness that abounds about his great aura of negation chopping). If someone should be appointed, Wind's omnipotent-ness shall know.
Wow Kish... I give that a 9.6 out of 10 on the praising Wind scale (what made it so good was the fact you did it so subtly, without all the "OMG Wind is teh awesome...")
But sometimes simplicity is best. Wind = smart = better than us
since captains have more things to attent to than just app processing i m just thinking that not just vc even the seats can decide whether to approve or not... after all the seats n division members will collab sometime in future anyways...
When the application staff meets we discuss each applicant and their writing and watch for improvements and how well they took crtique graciously given by others.
When an application is approved you'll usually see in shiny, red letters that the Application was accepted but an Interview is Pending.
That's when you give us an IM and we have a nice little chit chat.
Please don't hesitate to ask any of the staff for a chat invite on AIM. Its a good way to get to meet your fellow RPers and seek out answers to questions you might have as well as pass the time until we are able to get to each application.
