As the collossal of energy vanished, Ryoujin narrowed his eyes as the rogue once more proved his fortitude against the attacks that came his way. For someone who had used several eighty level spells and tore through Kurohitsugi as if it were nothing and not to mention redirected the sandstorm that he had created, the wear and tear would eventually show. Although the enemy bore few cuts and was more or less unscathed, it became clear that exhaustion was well on its way if it hadn't already occurred. The memory of the man falling to his knees as he erected a barrier earlier returned, and in that instant, the pink-haired Templar realized that he was no longer under Raiden Tougyou's influence.

Amongst everything that never seemed to go his way, it was now becoming apparent that the rogue had indeed made a fatal error. Although he had initially used Senka, that was the only taxing movement that he had made since joining the fray. And now that he was able to maneuver himself freely without mixing up his left for his right, it was time for some slaughtering.

"It's time for retirement, pal," he called as he flashed into and out of existence, using the opportunity that the Mystic had created for him. Making a path around the weakened sandstorm thanks in part from the snake-like beams that pushed it back the other way, Ryoujin approached the armed man, his auburn orbs glowing with the intent to end this man's life. Although killing was indeed wrong, there was no hesitation in his movements. It was either kill or be killed in this place. After all, that was the law of Hueco Mundo.

Besides, he had no problem murdering a man who had just tried to use one of his own comrades as a meatshield.

When the storm cleared enough so that the rogue could see who was on the other side of it, Ryoujin appeared in front of the ex-shinigami with his sword lunging forward, aimed to pierce right through the man. From the other side of him, the summoned broadsword that he had used earlier came down as well with a murderous intent fueled by the utmost conviction and the use of the Blood Templars' final technique.

If it was not already made clear by my post, that strike's powered by Martyr's Reckoning so that's 13k zan coming right at you from two sides. No homo

The spike pierced the Mystics flesh staining his robes crimson. Pain rushed through his body and before he could push it away he was buffeted by a wave of energy which more than just knocking the wind out of him. He was on the edge of falling over, and he would have passed out when the lightning ripped through him if not for his right arm which absorbed a massive amount of the energy. The techs within the Ninth Division were a bunch of intelligent people to have installed a countermeasure for power surges. The electrical energy stayed within the mechanical arm without any way for to transfer to his flesh and surge through the rest of his body.

Kneeling down he faced his opponent as his breathing became more ragged with every passing second. He thought about those he'd leave behind if he died right there. Yuu, Lilith, Hare and even Adelaide came to his mind. He was not about to give up on them. Every one of them needed him whether they wished to admit it or not. His opponent had his back to him; he obviously thought he had beaten him. With new determination in his eyes he rose to his feet and placed his palm a mere inch from the back of his head.

"Die." With a simple word he mimicked another ability, he could stop this ability once, but his money was on the fact he could not do it again. A smiled crept across Lucas' face as the black energy of the spell began to form around the target.

Out of nowhere, the snake-like beams dissipated into thin air, leaving the area only lit up by the occasional lightning bolt crashing to the ground. Mirroring his attack, the power radiating from his core plummeted as the rogue fell to his knees. The nine of the ten spikes protruding from his back faded away, signaling his imminent defeat.

Panting, the mystery fighter leaned on one of his zanpakutou for support and stared at the shinigami bearing down on his position. Knowing that his body lacked the strength to survive an attack from a warrior of his caliber, he used what little energy he had left to take the man down with him. Pointing the tip of his blade at the approaching, armor clad opponent, he focused his remaining reiatsu into a small ball of compressed energy, no bigger than marble.

As he took aim, the rogue barely heard the shinigami behind him mumble something. His surprise that the man was still alive after taking the full force of one of his most powerful attacks was short lived; the familiar feeling of Kurohitsugi swelled up in the ground beneath him as the black coffin began to surround his feet.

No...

With no time left to spare, the auburn haired warrior released the ball of pure, compressed reiatsu. Instead of bursting forth in a powerful explosion like a cero or traveling as a ball like Big Bang, he focused the energy into a thin, tiny beam of energy in order to pierce through the man’s armor and skewer his heart.

The shot raced toward the oncoming shinigami with blinding speed. Unfortunately, the rogue would not have the opportunity to see the damage it caused. The walls that formed Kurohitsugi overwhelmed his body and separated him from the rest of the world. Engulfed in darkness, only a single thought passed through the former shinigami’s mind: The Gotei is doomed.

The spears impaled his entire body from head to toe as all traces of his reiatsu left this plane of existence. The black, electric clouds that spread across the sky dissipated, revealing the crescent moon of Hueco Mundo once more. A bloody heap of limbs and hair lay collapsed where the kidou spell previously materialized.

The former captain of the sixth division was no more.

Ryoujin veered to the right, avoiding the threat that the spell could have resulted in as his Clairvaux shield projected itself. Landing on the ground and sealing his zanpakutou, he sheathed the blade. Panting as he caught his breath, his armor seemed to vanish, replaced by a mere necklace around the pink-haired youth's neck.

"Phewwww."

Stretching back, he looked up at the darkness that stretched out for miles on end. It was probably not in their best interest to stick around any longer here in Hueco Mundo. Who knows what could be lurking around the next corner? Besides, the stench of a corpse wasn't exactly helping either.

After finally standing up straight, he turned towards both of his companions but not without kicking up some dust to cover up the remains of the rogue. While he felt that this man didn't deserve to be treated with at least some of acknowledgement, the man was still a shinigami at one point, and as such, he was at least going to give him that much credibility in the end.

Although unbeknown to all three, they had just taken down the revered Taiken Yuusuke, former captain of the sixth and second division. Initially leaving the Gotei because he felt caged and walled in Seireitei, he left the ranks of the army in order to use his abilities and prowess with more freedom for the greater good. Although the man held noble intentions until his fall, his perspective had indeed changed. As to why it could have, well that was something that would be swept away by these dreadful sands.

It was a pity a man like this had to cross their paths. In one way or another, Ryoujin would have somewhat agreed with the man's choices in more ways than one.

One thing however was for sure. This game of Raifuku's pitted even brethren against one another, and that was yet another bit that fueled his drive to find wherever this man's sanctum was.

"...I guess this isn't really a proper time for pleasantries, but who cares," Ryoujin said, smirking, "Name's Ryoujin, from the Eleventh. Thanks for the help."

You are welcome to team up with me and tom, but I'm also aware that you're trying to meet up with your div, and I'm pretty sure that we probably won't be finding anyone from the Tenth any time soon with the way me and Tom have been moving. I'll leave it up to you.
