[PM][Shipping District][Q/7th/10th/11th]Week --: The Whirlwind Is In The Thorn Tree

"Discreet. Niiiice and discreet." Pushing a massive hunk of rubble off of her back the Templar Captain looked back into the air where the assault had been launched from. "Then again Tsubaki...you did just knock a giant robot out of the park..."

The abyssal fire reformed itself around her frame, burning brightly without flame as the unending infernal cape of the Righteous Devil regained prominence. Crimson tassels of lifeblood seeped freely from between the plated scales that covered most of her body, each one little more than a passing nuisance. Tsubaki smiled, shouldering the massive hammer that resonated all the more with each passing second with a madness and rage that yearned for release. I'll just let her soften it up a bit more...she's crazy if she thinks those little arrows are going to win her the kill.

The Captain's reiatsu continued to soar at frightening peaks, the unbridled might of Tsubaki's ironclad resolve smashed against what little bits of structure remained around the district. With deafening booms and bangs concrete and steel were crushed all the more, ground into dust and echoes by the all consuming force. At the center of the apocalyptic storm the Templar Queen readied herself, waiting for the ill-fated Horseman to rise once more.

As Ragnarok makes all of Tsubaki's Reiatsu, Kidou & techniques feel like Hollow Reiatsu, it will now feel like there is a 100k + Hollow in Tokyo to boot. Cheers.

The Red Horse was in trouble.

It had been designed to fight the quincy menace. The WHO had even gone to great lengths to ensure that it had the reiatsu siphoning abilities necessary to combat these arrow launching enemies. But they had not counted on fighting the quincies and teh shinigami at the same time alone. If they engaged multiple spiritual races, their orders had been to regroup and present a united front.

Which is what the Black and White horse had done and the Pale horse was in the process of doing. The red horse, however, was unable to get away from the damned enemies right in front of it.

A sudden, violent storm of reiatsu hit it. No, violent was the wrong word. It was like the core of the earth, all heat and power and sheer destruction. The Red horse felt it, and the pilot knew that there was no way he giant machine could make it back to the others. So instead, he did what any other WHO operative would do.

He initiated a suicide attack.

Pressing a button on his console, he called for his extraction. Then, he turned his attention first to the quincy. She was still firing energy projectiles, and they were raining down like destructive rain. Suddenly though, all of the ones left in the air, even the ones that were just leaving her bow, were swallowed by a massive energy vortex that appeared in midair. It was like a black hole that sucked in energy instead of matter. Then, his attention focused on the shinigami bitch that had been the cause of his troubles. He used his own ability to absorb heat and took some of her power, but not enough to save the horse. He could never handle that much.

After the energy aborbtion, and still withstanding attacks from them both, he initiated his plan. The eyes of the giant monster started to glow a violent red color, then it looked down and let loose all the energy it had collected into a single, massive blast. Such was the heat and intensity that for a brief moment the shinigami captain was made to look like a candle more than the blazing inferno that she was. The blast spread out, taking out more of the structures in it's destructive embrace. As they crumbled, they were pulverized so completely that the concrete was turned into sand. When the sand hit the ground, it was super heated to such a high temperature that it instantly turned to molten glass, covering the area around it in red hot liquid death.

WHile all this was going on, the pilot kept an eye out on the skies, waiting for what he knew was coming. It took but a mere few moment until he spotted what he was looking for.

Well that was a fun waste of time. Too bad I couldn't beat them, but I'm sure i can talk my way otu of too much trouble back at base.

He reached down and pressed a button, and was suddenly shot out of the head in a capsule, with the red horse put on auto pilot. The capsule was insulated, so no reiatsu was given off by it. In fact, it was invisible in the night sky, to all but the special helicopter that plucked it from the sky. As he sped off into the nightm he gave one last glance back at the dieing Red Horse.

"Give them hell, buddy."

Ok, after this point you are free to take it out in whatever blaze of glory you wish. Ps you might want to have adena check out it's insides, as there is a pod with a quincy in it.

and thus the energy absorption ability is revealed.

FINAL WORD COUNT 1084

(Assuming the pod is strong enough to protect the Quincy from this. If not? Awkwaaaaaaaard.)
(Also, seemed appropriate. Then again, I love me some MSI.)

It is time.

The words of conviction and righteousness could have flowed as if from fountains without peer, cascading and roaring into the endless night around them. So much the Captain could have said to the monolithic nemesis...though no purpose came to guide them. In their place two rows of teeth locked together in a maddened smile, the frenzied expression of a woman standing on the cusp of annihilation. The unholy conflagration around her grew all the more devious, fueled by the augmented blood that raced through her veins with breakneck speed. At the very zenith of her lethality, the Templar Queen stared into the unnatural eyes of her adversary.

Through bonds of flame and lash of steel...I will drag you into the inferno.

From the maw of jagged metal and unending abyssal flame, a lone lance of ebony steel was spurred into action, lashing out from the head of the hammer in a hellbent exodus. In what seemed an instantaneous transit, the projectile slammed into the metallic crown of the Red Horse with a deafening resonance of steel being set upon by its kin.

"Goodbye."

With one last fleeting smile paid to the terror of spirit and technology, the night was purged from the tattered remains of the shipping district. Flames of unerring purpose and ferocity tore ravenously at the cloying night that fought against it. An artificial star plucked from the heavens above ravaged the battered seaside without remorse or repose, sundering structures and pavement to dust in the matter of seconds. As the roaring war cry of the massive explosion shot out into the night, jarring detonations riddled the surface of the hulking brute.

Valiant though it may have been to defend, the level of destruction the Captain had waged against the Horseman's steed was far too focused to endure. Plates of carefully layered steel and armor were crushed to ash and echoes, ripped from the Horse's frame without mercy. Lost to the inferno, the tattered remains of the incarnation of War fell to memory, ground to dust in kind with the battleground it had chosen.

As the final throes of the indomitable flame fell away, the Captain fell to one knee at the center of the ravaged crater she herself had forged. No longer able to maintain the form of her final release, the jagged blade of her sealed blade bit effortlessly into the ashen dirt beside her. With only a few misshapen pieces and large chunks of her foe left to attest it had ever lived, Tsubaki allowed herself a moment of repose.

To Recap
Bigger. Ass. Explosion. 30 meters in all directions around where the Red Horse was is now pretty much just ash. As I wasn't aiming directly at her, Adena is alive, although she just lost her bet. Nate, if you wanna do some more turns in this one let me know, as now it will probably be over this week.

Also, Mandatory.

The sheer fury unleashed by the female captain struck a deep terror into Adena's cold, black heart. She had thought never to feel something like that--she had thought herself beyond such emotion, yet here she was; and for that she loved the battle, the woman, the mechanical monstrosity that had allowed such release. Elation shone alongside the rending black fear within her and she began to dance among the devastating abyssal fire. A red star in the sky, she shimmered through the black flames as she danced among them. Danced a dance on the knife-edge of life and death.

But she succeeded, she outran the heat, the sound, the flames, the power; she lived. The monstrosity upon which she had meant to draw her bow when the crushing weight, searing flames and unholy noise, was not so fortunate. The monstrosity and the surrounding area, she should have said for the blast had utterly destroyed everything within a sizable distance. Everything except for two women.

Adena, after a moment's consideration in the stark silence that followed, landed next to her exhausted opponent more or less unscathed; fortunate that she had not been on the receiving end of such an attack. She hoped to prolong that further too...she rather liked this woman now. They clearly shared the same ideas about how to go about their duties.

"And you were muttering something about discretion?" she mused aloud brushing rubble off her leather vest. "Hunh."

I'm sorry if this is somewhat craptastic >.> it's been a rough week and i was really kind of at a loss as to what to write following that. Anywho, beaks check your PMs and let me know if all is cool.

Adena: -a sizable amount of rei from mass hirenkayku use to avoid the momentary creation of Hell on Earth or whatever it was that beaks unleashed.

"Discretion is a matter of perspective dear. For instance..." Tsubaki stood slowly, leaving her weapon jammed firmly into the rubble underfoot. "...I only had to shoot it once."

"A shame there's not much left of this place, but I suppose being ginger with it would have allowed it to destroy this part of the city itself." After paying an absently thoughtful glance to the ruined landscape around them, the Templar Queen plucked her jagged blade from the dirt, locking it into place upon her back in a swift and fluid flourish.

"If you still want revenge on a Captain for what happened to your people, I'm not going to stop you 'Dee." She smiled grimly, withdrawing the cigarette case from inside her robes once again. "I wasn't a part of the operation, but the Captain before me was. If you want a face to put your anger to or a body to draw vengeance from, you're not going to get a better shot." A single bone-clad finger pressed itself to the cigarette, lighting it with a comparatively feeble spark of abyssal fire.

After taking a long drag and a thoughtful pause, the Captain smiled once again. After all, the words she had offered the hellbent archer where nothing short of the truth. The explosion that had all but blasted the mechanical terror from the realm of being was absolute, terrifying in its own dominion...but left the diminutive Captain extremely ill-suited to continue fighting after the fact.

"I don't agree with what's happened to your people as a whole, and I like how mine have acted on that subject even less. I didn't come down here to kill a class of folks that have seen more than enough death already." As another long lungful of smoke left her lips, the unyielding leonine irises that had bore back at the strongest and most powerful soldiers the Gotei could offer wandered to the fellow sister of destruction, an unspoken sense of respect and kinship lingered with them.

"I don't give a damn if the higher-ups want you dead." Flipping the phone open as she spoke, the Captain scrolled through the long-winded blanket orders the forty-six had issued to capture or preferably kill any "Quincies or similar abberations" with a firm and deliberate scowl. Opening a new message to her officers and friends, the grimace slowly melted back into the carefully wielded mask of neutrality. Tired fingers worked resentfully but quickly as the message took shape. "At the end of the day, all I answer to is my own code, and killing you isn't part of it."

Clicking the device shut, her eyes shot back to the fiery-haired girl without hesitation. "The ball is in your court 'Dee. You wanna kill me? Kill me. If not, I'm gonna go find more of these things to blow up." Without a second thought to putting her back to such a formidable opponent, Tsubaki began walking in the direction of the city.

"Your call."

Nate
You don't have to answer in this thread. If you want to have Adena act however it is she's going to act you can make it the opening post of our transition collab. PS, take this as a sign that Tsubaki has a pretty good deal of respect for you, because if not she may have handled winning the bet like this. =D
