Post Terminus' One Year Anniversary!

First off, sorry for being bad and not posting this sooner. I would think of it each day at work, and forget when I got home to post it.

As of August 10th, Post Terminus is officially one year old. That means all of your characters are now one year older, too!

To celebrate, we're going to be giving out Super Faction Bonus to all players who write in Week 54. To make up for this announcement being late, we'll also be offering SFB for all writing in Week 55. For those of you who didn't receive the Super Division Bonus in Halcyon Days:

Super Faction Bonus
The greatest bonus available and only given out in very special circumstances, the Super Faction Bonus (or SFB) doubles all grades, including other bonuses, for every member of a division or faction in the writing week in which it is used. This does not stack with Plot Bonus.

Next up, since our membership is still a bit low, now's as good a time as any to implement a recruitment drive. Firstly, new players who submit an application by 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, September 12 (the end of Week 57) will get an additional +500 Latens for their new PC. Furthermore, after being approved and writing for at least three weeks, the member who referred the new player will receive a matching +500 bonus the next time they write.

While Post Terminus has been around for 1 year, even more amazing to me is that this writing community has been around for over 10 years now. The original BFRPG started on 4/12/2005, and turned ten years old this past April. The community has gone through many incarnations -- BFRPG, Isshindensetsu, Halcyon Days, Post Terminus -- and we've seen many amazing writers share their gift, grow into their own, and inspire their fellow RPers. We've seen great people come and go through the years, we've been with them through great moments in their lives, from births to weddings, and even though many of them have moved on, they've all left their mark on the community.

Even though the Halcyon Days Bleach RP has reached the end of its road, I still happily think of our little RP group as 'Halcyon Days.'

I myself joined Halcyon Days in February of 2008. That's seven years I've been writing with all of you. I hope there's still many more to come, with those of you here now, with old friends who may one day return, and with new writers I've yet to meet.

So, here's to one more year! One more year of Post Terminus, one more year of Halcyon Days, one more year of RPing, of writing, of hanging out with some of the best friends I've known (most of whom can write up something better here than my fumbling little speech).

I think it'll be a great one.

Hooray for the 1st year anniversary. I don't remember the time I joined, though I do know it was around February of 2008. (Because I remember joining right around the time Will joined.) Whoa. That is quite a long time.

I will say that I've always enjoyed creating worlds and writing characters, but Halcyon Days was the first time I've ever gone through with making a cohesive and long story. I got to make characters while not worry about the whole setting thing. And the chapter format made me ease into writing. At first, 1000 words felt like a lot. Now, I seem to be able to breeze by that amount.

And having people actually read what I wrote and get feedback on it felt fantastic. The comments have helped me improve and refine over the years. I am glad my quirky sense of character has been well recieved.

Writing in HD is what gave me the push to actually try and get out some of my original ideas. And it's really fun.

Happy 1 year anniversay, PT.

Wow, it's been a whole year already. TIme sure goes by fast on the internet.
I've only been here for two years, no where near the ten you vets have been here, and I'm glad I'm here at all.
Meeting all you people and hearing all your different points of view, and peeking into your head with the stories you all tell is really inspiring; and all of that pushes me to create more and more, and you've no idea how much I appreciate it.

I"m happy to be here and I hope this year is just as good as the last one, and then some.
:)
