Shikai - Niklas Kierkegaard

Name: Kyouton Gugen (lit. Madness Incarnate)

Release Phrase: Sekai no Koto wo Wasurero! (lit. Forget the World!, which is the true command. Niklas says, "Fuck the World!")

Manifestation: Kyouton Gugen takes the form of a shiny silver sphere that can imitate the form of the face of anyone Niklas has ever encountered. When it speaks in its sphere form, it gives off a warm, ambient light. Despite this somewhat docile appearance, Kyouton Gugen is one of the most annoying Zanpakutous in Soul Society.

The realm that Kyouton Gugen inhabits can be just about anything it wants, but typically, it takes the form of an infinite abyss with a grand piano sitting in the "center".

Form/Ability:
Kyouton Gugen takes the form of dual katars. Around each of Niklas' wrists and near each of his elbows are shackles that are bound together by steel rods to keep his katar’s handles in place. The actual blades of his weapons are each two feet long and are free-floating. The blades can reach a maximum distance of ten feet from each of Niklas’ hands. Kyouton Gugen’s form/ability allows Niklas to fight melee style at long range.

Ability: Shinkirou
Kyouton Gugen’s second ability takes form by allowing Niklas to choose one blade or another to be ethereal. This means that at any given time, one of Niklas’ blades may be a counterfeit, acting as a ghost blade. The ethereal blade looks completely real but upon “contact”, one will realize that nothing is there. Shinkirou can pass through structures, bodies, or other objects with the exception of objects with a Reiatsu concentration that is at least 125% Niklas' Reiatsu.

Once per turn, Niklas can consciously make the decision to choose which of his blades are real and which is insubstantial, if he chooses at all. Occasionally, he will choose to have both blades be real, especially after opponents have become accustomed to expecting one to be counterfeit. When there is a potential switch, Niklas will sporadically yell out “Remix!” even if he isn’t planning on switching.

Shikai – Hachuutsuki Yamada, 4th​

Name: Kougouheika (Her Majesty the Empress)

Release Command: Hiss, Kougouheika!

Form: Upon the release command, Hachuutsuki’s blade elongates, whilst the handle also grows and twists up and around the blade, forming into the shape of a snake. At the same time, the coiled snake of the tsuruba unwinds itself and twists around the blade, the hilt and tsuruba forming a double helix around the elongated blade, which has now become a gently tapering, silver rod. Finally, a pair of silver wings sprout from the top of the weapon, transforming her sword into a Caduceus. Manifestation: Kougouheika takes the form of a spectacularly beautiful woman, clad in the finest jewels and kimono. She has emerald hair which falls to her knees, and yellow eyes, with slit pupils. Around her neck is a green snake, seemingly made of living metal, with one red eye and one colourless. At times she holds a cup in each hand, but what is inside is unknown.

Attack: Jadoku (Snake Toxin)
By paying 5% reiatsu per use, Hachuutsuki can order the red-eyed snake to lash out and bite her intended victim, within the snake's range of 2 feet. Upon biting, a circular mark appeared in the shape of a coiled snake, similar to a tattoo, appears upon the victims skin, with a radius of 5cm, around the point bitten. The venom released by the snake upon biting prevents blood from clotting within the circle meaning that any wound that is delivered within the mark will bleed profusely. Also, bruises received are much more severe inside the circle than outside. The effect lasts for 3 turns.

Ability: Enerugi Kakumei (Energy Revolution)
By expending 5% reiatsu per 3 turn block, Hachuutsuki can command the clear-eyed snake to inject her intended receiver with a serum that increases the efficiency of their living cells, giving the person a burst of pure energy. This means that they can think clearer and can use their new energy to increase their strength. Hence, for 3 turns, their zanjutsu stat is increased by 10%.

Manifestation: Shiruba is named after the colour of her fur, silver. She shines brightly in the mind of Tenchuu, giving him her warmth and strength. Her golden-yellow eyes give no emotion, but convey the same beauty as her coat, which shines brightly in the sun of Tenchuu's inner world.

There is a weapon on each glove: on the left hand metal tendrils (each 15 inches long) become attached to Tenchuu's fingers; and on the right hand there are three blades (each 10 inches long) that are attached to his knuckles. On the end of the middle blade is a small hole, used for the 'Silver Bolt' ability.

They become white hot and able to burn through many types of material, giving Tenchuu a damage amplifier. As a result the damage dealt to the opponent with every successful attack is now 5% of Tenchuu's Reiatsu. This can be used for a maximum of 5 turns.
Cost: Tenchuu spends 5% of his remaining Reiatsu per turn it is used.
Weakness: Tenchuu is not an expert Hakuda user, and so this ability is to be used in dire close combat situations as a back up. To use effectively he will need to train more.

Har, let's give this a try... Excuse the poor moonspeak; if it was misspelled, well, that's to be expected. I'm holding off one attack for now since I'm totally out of ideas... haha.

- Bankai: Shimetsu no Rysoukyou -

By forcefully materializing the inner domain of his zanpakutou, Tetsuo creates a moving bounded territory around himself - the range of the territory is equal to a sphere (with Tetsuo in its middle) of varying radius - an initial 10ft with 1ft increase per 2.000 connection (capped at 55ft / 34.000 con). Within this range, reality is amassed and turned into the barren wasteland that represents his zanpakutou’s domain; an ever billowing wind sweeps the immensurable amount of sand that now covers the battlefield.​

Ability: Zenken

The basic ability of Tetsuo’s Bankai is the sand itself and the control he has over it. With mere thoughts, the shinigami is able to manipulate an incredible amount of the substance, and while sand might not appear as a threatening element in itself, a great conglomeration of it is surely something to fear.

And foolish is the one who thinks that what he now control is mere sand, for in reality, the particles are merely ‘sand-like’, and with the constant influx of Tetsuo’s reiatsu within them, each single fragment has the ability to harden itself to withstand attacks by forming walls or simply lash against his enemies as whips and tentacles composed of myriads of particles.​

Attack: Kengeki

While Tetsuo holds absolute control over the unsurmountable amount of sand that composes his Bankai, such element by itself is hardly easy to control, and the amount required to enact offensive or defensive action with it is hardly feasible at all.

As a mean to counter such inability, his Bankai offers Kengeki as an option to Tetsuo. By amassing a desired amount of sand and infusing the same with his own reiatsu, Tetsuo is capable of creating any kind of weapon he so desires (projectile weapons aren’t included) at any given point of his territory - sprouting from the ground or literally expelled from beneath the sea of sand, the possibilities are numberless.

Each weapon he creates has a set cost of 500 reiatsu, and if they come to be wielded by Tetsuo, one should beware of them as any other Bankai level weapons, and not as inferior arms.​

Attack: Zansatsu

By forcefully commanding the totality of sand to take a single action, the shinigami creates an instrument of massacre unmatched, fitting for tyrant rulers and merciless berserkers of old - for it’s void of any discrimination between friend or foe, good and evil.

With the single thought of destruction as his command, all the wasteland converges into one gigantic hurricane with Tetsuo at its eye. The ravaging wind, allied with all the innumerable sand, creates a machine of destruction that rampages across the area, slicing apart anything foolish enough to stand in its way. To resist it is no mere feat, and only those of considerable strength can even hope to face such an atrocity and leave alive, what to say unharmed.

Zansatsu costs 20% of Tetsuo’s reiatsu to be activated.​

Shikai - Kai Tuo Zi

Name – Genzou no Soushi (Vision of Creation, or Creation’s Vision)

Release Phrase – Hireki! (Reveal!)

Form – Genzou no Soushi takes the form of a long sword, two feet longer than its sealed counterpart (about 6 feet). The hilt it now one foot in length, and is now a dark slate gray color, intricate in design. The tsuba melds into one gear rather than two, and forms itself vertically rather than horizontally, and is seven inches in diameter. It is a dark gray color with a silver trim, and slightly detached to allow it to be moved like a dial. The blade itself is 4’5”, and is perfectly rectangular. The edges are blunt and the center is seemingly not attached to the rest of the blade. It is the same dark gray color as the tsuba, and has a one-and-a-half inch depth. Finally, the center is replaced with an ethereal, bright green material that is same depth as the blade.

Genzou no Soushi

Manifestation - Genzou no Soushi’s manifestation is that of a life-size, mechanical doll of sorts. The torso is dark gray and metallic in nature. The limbs are made of metal, but everything except the joints are covered with a beige material. In the middle of the torso, there is an empty area where the innards of the spirit can be seen, in which merely a series of mechanical pieces move at an even pace. A dome-shaped cage is set over this area. The head is a black, shapeless mass that is held together only by a dragon’s head-shaped helmet, white in color. Two bright red dots represent the eyes of the spirit. Behind it, a single, large gear floats without spinning.

Ability: Sukyan - Rentogen
Since Genzou no Soushi is not suited for combat, its main ability is its ability to scan any stationary object using the green ethereal area of the blade. From the initial scan, two specific abilities reveal themselves. This specific ability allows the initial scan to be used as an X-ray. This is activated by turning the dial on the tsuba ninety degrees to the right. Data received from the X-ray scan is fed directly to the Ninth Division item, Prometheus.

Ability: Sukyan – Kanousei
By turning the dial back to its original position, this ability is activated. It can be called Genzou no Soushi’s original ability. Running the same scan on any mechanical object, data that is fed to Tuo Zi reveals all the “possibilities,” meaning that Tuo Zi would essentially be able to see an exploded view of the said mechanical object, as well as what different objects could be made out of the available parts. This works if all the pieces are already separated as well.

Each respective scan takes one entire turn, and the data must be analyzed for another before either switching scan modes or reusing the same one. Essentially, it takes two turns to fully use the scan. However, if whatever scanned is deemed not useful, the second turn can be used to rescan.

By channeling spiritual pressure into his firearm, Rafa can make the gun become a part of him. A really, really big part of him. The result is a type of mobile railgun, replacing the advent human’s right arm. Despite the new gun’s clunky size, Rafa doesn’t suffer any agility lost.

an x-ray and such doesn't give you a great deal of information. 4th division and 9th techs and such can probably tell more. If you want your scanning to give other kinds of information, you should describe more things that it can find out. As it is, you're pretty seriously limited in what you can do

generally speaking an almost unbreakable cloak in a first level of release isn't a good idea. logically, that leads to an almost unbreakable cloak in the final stage. being invisible while beating someone up is a bit broken.

Also drop the katakana english - Supekutoru Furasshu isn't japanese, its just english turned into katakana. just call it spectrum flash (or get kish or maki or someone to translate into actual japanese)

Shikai - Mangetsu Tougen

Name: Tadatori (Freebird)
Shikai Release Command: Spread your wings, Fly endlessly Tadatori! (often shortened to "Fly endlessly Tadatori!")

Manifestation: Tadatori takes the form of an old, four-winged eagle with scars decorating its body, the most prominent one being a large one that runs down its right eye. He has an old, raspy voice that speaks with constant wisdom, though at times it can be mistaken for senility as he almost always speaks in riddles to Tougen.

If there is one thing that is clear to Tougen about ‘Tada’, it’s that he always stresses that Tougen never give up his freedom for any reason. He becomes agitated and paranoid whenever he and Tougen are locked into a room, no matter the reason. How Tada feels about his wielder is currently unknown, though he seems to take on a grandfatherly role of sorts. He claims to be descendant of a warrior culture, though which is unknown to even Tada himself, as his memory is quite the reverse of Tougen’s.

Shikai Appearance: When the command phrase is uttered, Tougen’s blade twists and warps itself into a 3’8” long Schiavona sword. The guard wraps entirely around Tougen’s hand and looks like laurel branches with the leaves being gold. The handle, though hard to see, is still red, though now it’s a vibrant crimson. The blade now seems to be somewhat luminescent, as even in darkness it’s shining silver. Engraved on the side of the blade are the kanji, 自由 (Freedom).

Shikai Abilities:

O Uyoku no Fuki – On Wings of Freedom: Upon the release of Tadatori, two opaque, gold colored wings consisting of tribal-like tattoos emerge from Tougen's back on the outside of whatever clothing he is wearing. The wings are solid and can be used to bat away enemies or even to block attacks. Flight is capable, and hairpin turning is also enabled on both land and in air.

The strength of the wings is equal to 10% of Tougen’s reiatsu, and once this limit is reached the wings shatter immediately. Tougen must then wait two rounds before the wings automatically recreate themselves.

Hishou Washi - Soaring Eagle: Encasing his hand in reiatsu, Tougen will form it into a small compact ball of light the size of a bowling ball so bright it can make people who look at it directly see spots. He will then throw the ball, which he can detonate at any time. When detonated, the attack lets off an explosion similar to a flash bomb, though it only damages hollows. The attack automatically detonates on impact if Tougen does not command it to.

This has the effect of blinding everyone around it, and weakening or destroying the masks of the hollows who were caught in the blast, depending on how close they were to the center of the blast. The area of the blast is 15 feet, with the blinding effect carrying for 20 feet. This attack costs Tougen 100 reiatsu.

Name: Kyoukan [Outlaw ]

Command: Scatter, Kyoukan

Manifestation: Kyoukan takes the form of an aged man, his skin leathered from the sun and his clothes tattered and torn. His hair is long and grey with a beard to match. His left is eye is always closed due to an ‘x’ shaped scar over top of it. The clothing he wears is a large brown trench coat over top of a dusty black shirt. His legs are covered by long brown pants; his feet are bare, completely naked to the elements. Every time he appears there is always a half bottle of alcohol in his right hand.
The inner world in which Kyoukan lives in is a massive desert filled with dying plants, however there is a wooden rocking chair in the distance. Whenever Kyoukan appears to Leone he always seems to be walking towards the chair, never getting any closer or farther.

Form: As the release command is uttered both Kyoukan’s sheath and blade glow light blue and change into a single brown tonfa. Covering the tonfa are small runes that are etched into the weapons very existence.

Ability:

Overcharge: Kyoukan’s single ability allows Leone to load Hadou into itself. When loading the Hadou up to two kidou slots can be stored at a single time, allowing the use of more powerful Hadou. After loading the Hadou Leone has the ability to fire the Hadou spell increasing its power. To do this Leone must pay 2x the reiatsu cost of the spell which increases the spells overall power to 3x. When fired the spell is shot out in a buckshot fashion, which causes tiny pieces of the spell to scatter out in every direction. A problem with this ability though, the more power added the less range the spell has. After adding the additional power to the spell, the maximum range it can travel is 5 feet before dispersing into air.

Ability: Seisoku Fukuhon – (Living Copy)
Genzou no Soushi gives Tuo Zi the ability to dismantle any mechanical object into its separate parts, down to the smallest bolt. With any available parts, a robot that is much like the Zanpakutou’s spiritual manifestation in physical form, comes to life, imbued with Tuo Zi’s reiatsu. The maximum size that any of these robots can be is the height of Tuo Zi himself. The robot can move anywhere Tuo Zi pleases, and it mimics his movements. Each robot is equipped with a replica of Tuo Zi's wrist blade, extending about one foot, on the right arm.

To use this ability, 100 reiatsu must be spent to dismantle every object, regardless of size (maximum size limit is about the size of a standard basketball). To sustain the robot, another 50 reiatsu must be spent per turn. A maximum of two robots can be created, given that the materials are available.

First Stage: Daisetsu Rafa

Form/Ability:
Waveil

Rafa’s physical attributes (or lack thereof) better suit him to scouting work and his abilities as an advent human fortify his recon strengths.

For a percentage of reiatsu, Rafa can alter the frequency and wavelength of the light waves that his body (and anything immediately attached – clothes, weapons, stuff like that) emits. By doing this, he can remove himself from the visible light spectrum thus rendering him invisible to the naked eye. Depending on how dramatically he alters the shape and length of his waves (which gets more and more costly), Rafa may also conceal himself from a couple of different methods of detection, namely sound and Reiatsu tracing.

Beings with items/abilities that grant certain detection perks (infrared goggles, hearing aids with magical radio wave detecting capabilities, etc.) will still be able to see Rafa if he is emitting those particular waves.

Since Waveil requires steady concentration, Rafa cannot engage in combat while using any form of cloaking. This includes firing guns, throwing punches/kicks/rocks - any violent offense. If he does, all cloaks are immediately disabled.

Once Rafa activates this ability and begins to emit different waves, he is unable to switch to another frequency/wavelength combination for five rounds. If he chooses to deactivate Waveil, the same amount of time is required to reenable the camouflage.


Ability:
Ghostaccato

Rafa's no combat expert, so whenever something bad is coming at him, he often has to defend with some good ol' trickeration. This usually involves navigating to an opponents weakspots (or making a flashy, yet manly retreat), and that's where Ghostaccato comes in.

Ghostaccato uses an advent human's exceptional "fight or flight" speed in conjunction with Waveil's manipulation of the waves he emits. With those powers combined (>_>), Rafa can break his being down into a mixture of spirit particles and electromagnetic waves that can phase through walls.

This is taxing on his body however, as it expends 1.5x as much reiatsu as a regular "fight or flight". Rafa can only traverse through walls not insulated with reiatsu. In addition, though the ability is quick and based off agility and reaction speed, it is not instantaneous and shunpo/sonido/hirenyaku all pose a threat when trying to get it off.

Rafa can use this ability once for every 1500 agility.

Form: Dagger

Ability:
Touru sheds the need of having to experience passing time to gain knowledge. Instead, she knows thirty seconds into the future while bankai is activated.

Attack: Time Step
When Touru uses the ability, she is enabled to take a step out of time. It can only be used for movements towards an opponent, not to flee or to attack. As soon as Touru attempts to, she steps back into time. Since the opponent remains within the grasp of time, he cannot even witness Touru disappearing, wondering where she may be. She just appears, as if she had always been there. One time step costs double the amount a flash step of the distance would have cost.

Attack: Time Triple
When Touru hits, she can decide to put herself out of sync with the time stream. This way, for a few milliseconds, there are three Tourus. They hit practically at the same time thrice, in the same area – one attack repeated. This only occurs once a hit has been dealt, which is then automatically dealt thrice. One time triple costs 5% of Touru’s reiatsu.

Attack: Time Wrap
When a full hit is landed on Touru, she can influence the time particles responsible for the attack, which in technical terms means, the stat responsible for the attack. Those time particles move slower, and as a result hinder the opponent. If the opponent lands a full hit with another stat, that one is affected in the same way, if Touru so decides. Spending 5% reiatsu, Touru can lower a stat for 5 rounds by 10% of her total reiatsu.

He becomes agitated and paranoid whenever Tougen is locked into a room, no matter the reason. How Tada feels about Tougen is currently unknown, though he seems to take on a grandfatherly role of sorts. He claims to be descendant of a warrior culture, though which is unknown to even Tada himself, as his memory is quite the reverse of Tougen’s.

Shikai Appearance: When the command phrase is spoken, Tougen’s katana straightens itself and lengthens, becoming a 4.5’ long claymore. Along the side of the blade is the Greek letter, Ω (Omega), engraved into the steel. The guard is and eagle, with the wings spread outwards to form the guard, with the head grasping the blade in its jaw, with the lower body missing. The handle remains red, though now it’s a vibrant crimson. The pommel is a single claw of a bird clutching a tourmaline orb.

O Uyoku no Fuki – On Wings of Freedom: Upon the release of Tadatori, two wings consisting of tribal-like tattoos emerge from his back on the outside of whatever clothing he is wearing. The wings are solid and can be used to bat away enemies or even to block attacks. Flight is capable, and hairpin turning is also enabled on both land and in air. The wings are an extension of Tougen, so he feels pain if they are struck, and they have the same durability as normal bird wings. The wings can be used to block an attack, but they are easily broken and usually used as such as a last ditch effort. If destroyed, Tougen must wait one round before they recreate themselves.

Nigenai Fuki – Unworthy of Freedom: Tougen reserves this attack, using it only when all else fails or when someone succeeds in the task of angering him. Gathering his reiatsu into either of his arms, legs or even his claymore, he will launch dozens of small, pellet-sized shards resembling broken glass created out of the reiatsu from the designated area to pierce through an enemy, scattering the shards in a cone pattern on launch. This attack costs 4% of Tougen’s reiatsu.

Shikai - Kai Tuo Zi

Name – Genzou no Soushi (Vision of Creation, or Creation’s Vision)

Release Phrase – Keigai! (Ruin!)

Form – Genzou no Soushi takes the form of a long sword, two feet longer than its sealed counterpart (about 6 feet). The hilt it now one foot in length, and is now a dark slate gray color, intricate in design. The tsuba melds into one gear rather than two, and forms itself vertically rather than horizontally, and is seven inches in diameter. It is a dark gray color with a silver trim, and slightly detached to allow it to be moved like a dial. The blade itself is 4’5”, and is perfectly rectangular. The edges are blunt and the blade as a whole is the same dark gray color as the tsuba, and has a one-and-a-half inch depth.

Manifestation - Genzou no Soushi’s manifestation is that of a life-size, mechanical doll of sorts. The torso is dark gray and metallic in nature. The limbs are made of metal, but everything except the joints are covered with a beige material. In the middle of the torso, there is an empty area where the innards of the spirit can be seen, in which merely a series of mechanical pieces move at an even pace. A dome-shaped cage is set over this area. The head is a black, shapeless mass that is held together only by a dragon’s head-shaped helmet, white in color. Two bright red dots represent the eyes of the spirit. Behind it, a single, large gear floats without spinning.

Ability: Seisoku Fukuhon – (Living Copy)
Genzou no Soushi gives Tuo Zi the ability to dismantle any mechanical object into its separate parts, down to the smallest bolt. With any available parts, a robot that is much like the Zanpakutou’s spiritual manifestation in physical form, comes to life, imbued with Tuo Zi’s reiatsu. The maximum size that any of these robots can be is the height of Tuo Zi himself. The robot can move anywhere Tuo Zi pleases, and it mimics his movements.

To use this ability, 1,000 reiatsu must be spent to dismantle every object, regardless of size; and create the robot. A maximum of two robots can be created initially, given that the materials are available. To sustain each robot, another 50 reiatsu must be spent each turn. For every 1,500 connection gained (starting at 1,000), another robot may be created, given there are available materials. Robots can be created from a destroyed robot, so long as the materials are still usable.

Name: Guitamaru

Command: Keep the beat, Guitamaru!

Manifestation: Guitamaru appears to be a middle aged man with tinted skin and long flowing ebony hair. On top of his head is a black top hat. His eyes are covered by a pair of tinted sunglasses while a small scar can be seen on his chin. He wears a leather jacket with beat up blue jeans. A chain hangs from his right pocket that is attached to a small book of guitar tabs. His attitude is usually calm and he always has something wise to say. The inner world in which Guitamaru lives in appears to be a recording studio with guitars laying around and a single drumset off in the corner. The walls are painted red with pictures of roses and guns. Whenever Kara sees Guitamaru he is usually tuning one of the many guitars in the room never being able to find the perfect sound no matter how hard he tries.

Guitamaru

Form: Once released the sheath turns into the bottom part of a guitar while the top turns into a blade which has strings running down towards the top of the bottom. It is normally released still sheathed to create the guitar like blade. Each string is a dark crimson red while the body is black with a white guard. There are four golden knobs on the sheath part of the guitar. The neck of the guitar can be removed and become a sword. When placed back inside the “guitar” sheath it becomes a guitar again and can activate its abilities.

Abilities:

Welcome To The Jungle: This ability is activated after Kara plays a quick rift on the guitar still sheathed. After activation by paying 5% of his own reiatsu, any target within a 20 feet radices will have there hohou stat reduced by 10%.

Hot For Kidou: Kara once again plays a quick rift, but this one is more fast. After activation by paying 5% of his own reiatsu, Kara’s can send out small waves that reach 15 meters ahead that do damage equal to 15% of his own zanjutsu stat.

Character name: Kimura Katsumi

Shikai name: Tsutatora (Ivy Tiger)

Release phrase: Moete hoshoku shite, Tsutatora (Sprout and prey, Tsutatora)

Manifestation: Tsutatora has the body of a tiger with mostly white, partially orange fur. He has fox ears and a pair of huge off-white wings whose outer parts are made of leaves. The tail is made up of leaved jungle ivy.

Form: When the release command is said, Katsumi's katana glows in a white light. From then on, the light becomes smaller and smaller until it completely vanishes when the transformation is complete, and it leaves a karambit behind. The knife's handle is of a red colour and has black stripes scattered around it.


Ability: Midoriiro Sushi (Green seed)
In its released state, Tsutatora has the ability to implant seeds into anything it comes into contact with. Each seed costs 100 reiatsu, and for every 2000 connection gained, Katsumi may plant an additional seed per stroke. Over a period of 2 turns, the planted seeds grow into long vines of ivy.


Ability: Jiyuu no Ichiboku (Freedom of one tree)
By expending 2% of his reiatsu, Katsumi may animate any number of vines or naturally occuring foliage for one turn. The vines are capable of grappling, manipulating objects, or even lashing out in a fashion similar to his own zanpakutou. The maximum length for any one vine is 10 feet, though the foliage around him remains in its typical size.
