Release Submission Thread

Here I go. *nervous*

Release: Shikai

Name: Spirit of Commonality -“Koukyousei Taido”
(Spirit as in attitude there)

Command: Yojin to jiko o tetsudaro, Koukyousei taido
-“Aid others and thyself, spirit of commonality”

Manifestation: Koukyousei Taido is the top half of a completely normal and unadorned shinigami, the rest of him obscured in mist. He looks old but happy, and speaks with a kind and gentle tone. He seems to much appreciate the use of Jikogisei- something about the sharing effect seems to resonate with him.

Form: Once released, it looks like an unreleased soul slayer at first except both the blade and sheath now have a winding design of a set of soft red lines seemingly for aesthetics and this pattern continues until the handle which is now an off-white base with dark purple crosshatch handle grip wrappings made of the standard grip fabric. The handle wrappings on the blade, secured at the end, are attached to the sheath by a cord of the same fabric that measures 3 feet in length. Every use of Jigokisei or advanced Sacchi temporarily make the markings on the sheath and blade of it's released form longer by about a centimeter, and this effect resets once the blade is resealed.

The sealed form now shares the fabric connecting the blade handle to the sheath, but doesn't have the other changes.

Abilities:

Sacchi "Sense":

Koukyousei taido's (Spirit of Commonality) primary ability is to sense the presence of similar traits, characteristics, and flaws- in other words, the connections between objects, people, and sources as well as when it is drastically or painfully obvious that some sort of shared connection should be present but isn't by making comparisons of data imprinted onto the soul slayer found by both it's own and Leo's rei and senses.

Leo makes use of this by giving it reiatsu and asking the zanpakutou about something. The more complex a question, the more has to be payed- anywhere from 100 to 400 reiatsu can be required. It would take little effort to discover an internal injury as the connection between those body parts would be missing, but much more to find out if two shinigami were in the same division.

Leo does not originally speak a release command for this ability, it is always on in it's most basic form unless Jikogisei shuts it down. He must release the blade however in order to ask it a complex question- a question that would require more than 400 reiatsu to answer. The blade will notify him if based on the data it has it's unsure in any way of it's answer or can't determine it because it's not strong enough or doesn't have enough of Leo's reiatsu to work with.

Jikogisei "Self-Sacrifice":
This ability is synergistic with the innate Shinigami racial tech “Reiki”, and follows any rules or effects that affect Reiki. In essence, as long as Leo is in possession of the entirety of Koukyousei Taido and he is able to make use of the 4th division tech [Chiyudo] or it's advanced form [Chiyudo Mastery] he can choose to augment his Reiki tech with his zanpakutou's power when it is released, which lets him share and eventually transfer wounds from others.

He can sacrifice and manipulate his reiatsu as he was taught when using Chiyudo in much greater amounts to amplify the effect of Reiki past the usual “green hands” technique shinigami learn into a soft red reiatsu glow by connecting the dots between the way the two techs work and having the spirit itself assist him greatly. It costs 5% of his reiatsu per half minute of this ability, during which the released soul slayer will also glow dimly with the ability as it forces Leo's reiatsu out of him and be unable to use it's other ability for a minute or two.

Any wound healed, partially or not, by this ability will as the ability progresses open in a reduced fashion on Leo's own body. If the source of the injury is weaker than Leo is, he only shares half of it. If they are relatively the same he shares three quarters of it. If the source of the injury is stronger he shares it all. Like Reiki itself, this is absurdly impractical in combat. If Leo attempts to share a wound that he already has, it will find a way to get worse. It is impossible for him to use Jikogeisei on himself because he can't share something with himself- there is no “similar connection” there.

You knew this was coming...

It's time

Bankai
Kokoro no Nagareboshi

Form/Ability:
A fierce howl rends the air, as Okaeshin tosses her uchigatana into the sky. As the whirling steel blinks out of sight, a star appears where it disappears. No matter the time of day, or the weather, the star can always be seen, shimmering right above Okaeshin. From the star, Kokoro no Nagareboshi seems to free fall from the sky to land beside her wielder.

At the impact of her touchdown, a flash of light bursts forth and at its end, Okaeshin is revealed to be wearing a sleeveless, black qipao which falls to just below her knees. Underneath, she wears a pair of long black stockings. Her feet are still bare; however, they are bandaged from just before the toes to above the ankle with steel the color of her shikai.

On her arms, Okaeshin still wears her shikai form, minus the ribbons, but she also holds a pair of crescent moon knives, one in each hand, made of the same material. To complete her attire, tribal tattoos mirroring those on Kokoro no Nagareboshi’s body cover Okaeshin from head to toe.

A constant song seems to envelope the young girl and her wolf.

Kokoro no Nagareboshi
Walking the physical plane, Kokoro no Nagareboshi is tied to her wielder as a piece of her soul, sharing Okaeshin's reiatsu and assisting with her abilities. They are so intimately linked that the injuries one sustains affects the other through an emotional bond.

Kokoro stands at 20 hands to her shoulder, dwarfing Okaeshin by a good 2 and a half feet with her head lowered. At such size, Kokoro is capable of carrying, at the most, 3 passengers of average size. However, Okaeshin and Kokoro are limited to keeping at the least 30 feet between them, as a spirit can never travel too far from her wielder.

Attack 1: Ziyou
The hovering song strengthens with the aid of Kokoro no Nagareboshi’s howl and Okaeshin’s voice, invigorating both souls. A sense of life and vitality bursts from the two beings, engulfing those around them as Okaeshin and Kokoro no Nagareboshi’s eyes reflect the star hanging above them. All de-buffs and status ailments are negated, and future such attacks are nullified as long as Okaeshin pays the same cost the attacker expends.

Attack 2: Tongqing
A soft, mournful howl can be heard drifting through the air, and Okaeshin weaves through the wolf’s voice with her own, heartrending tune. The song tears open the hidden or forgotten emotional scars of all within its 30 foot radius range, including Okaeshin herself at a cost equal to 5% connection. These memories are revealed to everyone present as all affected share their pain. The attacking stat of those within range decreases by 5% with an additional 5% for every person affected, up to 50%. The memories continue to spread and surface for 3 turns.

For Okaeshin, long hours of training with Kokoro no Nagareboshi allows her to accept her pain, and she is only affected for one round.

At the end of the three turns, Okaeshin can end the song by bringing forth more joyful memories. A salve for the bleeding wound.

Attack 3: Jiqing
An attack of wild and chaotic proportions, the force and effect of Jiqing discriminates against no one, affecting enemies and allies alike. Expending 15% of her reiatsu, Okaeshin abandons all of her control, and sings a wild song, accompanied by Kokoro no Nagareboshi’s ethereal howl. The sound is deafening, shattering and scattering everything within its 50 feet range. All other noise is swallowed for a duration of 3 turns, leaving an unsettling silence in the wake of the attack. The song itself holds an ironically uplifting timbre, promising rebirth after destruction, even as it claims its victims.

Thanks to Maki for Translations! 8D

Tweaked some things so its less useless in combat...
First Stage: Daisetsu Rafa

Form:
[ Denjiha Meisai ]電磁波迷彩
(Electromagnetic Wave Camouflage)

Rafa can alter the frequency and wavelength of the waves that his body (and anything immediately attached – clothes, weapons, stuff like that) emits into a unique size and shape. Activating Denjiha Meisai renders Rafa invisible to the naked eye, while also concealing him from a number of different methods of detection, namely sound, heat, and Reiatsu tracing. This however, requires steady concentration to uphold, and thus Rafa cannot engage in any type of combat while in full cloaking.

Sometimes a fight can’t be avoided just by hiding. When that time comes, Rafa can weaken Denjiha Meisai into something easier on his focus. This allows him hold his cloaks partially (cloaking effects are no longer absolute, but rather based on an opponents reiatsu in relation to Rafa’s reiatsu) for 1% per round, with a catch – His combat stat in this form is only 75% of what it is normally.

If Rafa for some reason chooses to deactivate Denjiha Meisai, it cannot be enabled again for another three turns, in any form. In either form of Denjiha Meisai, "Fight or Flight”movements are increased by 25%. Cost stays the same.

Ability:
[ Soryuushi Betsuri ]素粒子別離
(Particle Separation)

Soryuushi Betsuri uses an advent human's exceptional "fight or flight" speed in conjunction with Denjiha Meisai manipulation of the waves Rafa emits – as such, it can only be used with one of Denjiha Meisai active in some form. With those powers combined, Rafa can break his being down into a mixture of spirit particles and electromagnetic waves that can phase through walls for the length a "fight or flight” step thing.

This is taxing on his body however, as it expends 1.5x as much reiatsu as a regular "fight or flight". Rafa can only traverse through walls not insulated with reiatsu. In addition, though the ability is quick and based off agility and reaction speed, it is not instantaneous and shunpo/sonido/hirenyaku all pose a threat when trying to get it off.

tag - approved with changes

on time warp the debuff should not stack with multiple hits but multiple hits can add more rounds

seraph - approved on condition

as long as the wings are just an elaborate form of the zan and not an actual barrier then it's fine (i.e. it won't block against electricity or whatever)

ex - almost there

you need to clarify what you mean by your cap (is it number of robots that can be created in a turn, the number that can be in play at one time, or the number that can be made total?) and put a cap of 10 max that can exist at any time

sound -

read the faq section about debuffs, because you've done it wrong. i believe the word you are looking for is riff, not 'rift'

also, faster, not 'more fast' XD where are the waves going? just in front of him? If you're paying 5% of your rei, that'll be the force of the attack, rather than a percentage of your zan stat.

kisuke -

ability 1: the seeds shouldn't be able to plant into people, because that over complicates things. give the length of the vines here

ability 2: limit to some degree how much you can control, since control over 'any number of vines' etc dilutes the power of that 2% a great deal

ark -

ability 1: it's really unclear what this actually does. you need to be more specific about what kind of questions and what determines the difficulty of a question.

2nd ability: this contains 2 division techs, which makes this ability the equivalent of two tech slots or two feat slots. so no go on that. the slow damage siphon ability is okay, but doesnt need a cost. whether you want it or not now that you know about roo's is up to you.

sing-

about the ability/form: take a look at chisame's release for an example of how summons work

1st attack: this needs a cost

2nd attack: read the faq section about debuffs, thats not how they work. youve submitted kai enough times to know you should check the faq, singgg

3rd attack: this one is ok

nano-

denjiha meisai: this works but the cost needs to be much higher. clarify the 'partial' cloak. ie. in combat mode you are visible to infared/reiatsu/ or something.

moot suggests attacking should break the cloak and it should cost x% to rebuild it, and you should nix the debuff on your stats.

take this out, cause its a random add-on : In either form of Denjiha Meisai, "Fight or Flight”movements are increased by 25%. Cost stays the same.

ability is still ok

we represent the lollipop guild~

Notes notes notes
Changes:

- Added explanation of Kokoro's stat distribution. Think I might've made a mess of it though, so you may have to sludge your way through n.n.''. Unsure of whether or not I need to pay to summon her, but i put one in anyways.

- Added another cost to the first ability. Wasn't sure if you wanted another cost, or you didn't see the one I had in there. If it's the latter, let me know.

- I think, think I've fixed up the debuff. It was arrogant of me to forget about checking through the FAQ again >.<. I'm sorry.

- Added in a picture of the crescent moon knives for your viewing pleasure :P

EDIT: 7/19
Forgot to add this in yesterday... for Koko's abilities, can I use feat slots to create them?

Crescent Moon Knives
arm_190.jpg

A constant song seems to envelope the young girl and her wolf.

Kokoro no Nagareboshi
Walking the physical plane, Kokoro no Nagareboshi is tied to her wielder as a piece of her soul, sharing the reiatsu equivalent of Okaeshin's hohou and hakuda. For Kokoro, 45% of that total is distributed to her agility, 35% to her rage, and the remaining 20% to her ability (see Hollow Stats).

Once again, thank you to mak for translations and to moot for helping!

Big Edit
So I talked it over with desu and moot and decided that a cloak wasn't really what I was looking for nor did it mesh even semi well with my pc's personality...so pretty much everything is changed. I apologize for all the extra trouble in advance..

Though his strengths lie in scouting and reconnaissance, Rafa wants nothing more in life than to be the star of the show. In the immortal words of that one song in bleach:

Yeah! Yeah!
If you wanna see some action
Gotta be the cenTER OF ATTRACTI~ON!

And honestly, few things command a room like a very large gun appendage.

First Stage: Daisetsu Rafa

Form/Ability:
[ Rikidou Koukei ] — 力動口径
(Dynamic Caliber)

By channeling spiritual pressure into his firearm, Rafa can make the gun become a part of him. A really, really big part of him. The result is a type of mobile railgun, replacing the advent human’s right arm. Despite the new gun’s clunky size, Rafa doesn’t suffer any agility lost.

Railgun Size
railgun.jpg

This railgun functions quite differently than standard Orpheus weapons. For one, no physical ammunition is needed – handy, since bullets that can harm spiritual beings are in low supply. Instead, Rafa can shoot out shells of his own spiritual pressure. Each normal “bullet” costs Rafa 2% of his total reiatsu. Due to the size and power of the gun, these bullets are much larger and faster than their regular counterparts. In addition, an even larger scale attack can be launched for 10% of his reiatsu.

Ability:
[ Juudan Ayatsuri ] — 銃弾操り
(Bullet Manipulation)

Rafa’s armgun isn’t all about power – the weapon also utilizes a little bit trickery. The blasts fired from Dynamic Caliber are of a unique consistency and can ricochet off solid objects, changing their direction completely. In addition, since the bullets fired are manifested of Rafa’s spiritual pressure and not of tangible slugs, the advent can exert a little bit of sway on their trajectory. By doing this, he can “bend” the way the bullet moves upwards to a 30-degree angle in any direction. Only regular 2% rei bullets can be bent, but both types of bullets can ricochet.

Character name: Kimura Katsumi

Shikai name: Tsutatora (Ivy Tiger)

Release phrase: Moete hoshoku shite, Tsutatora (Sprout and prey, Tsutatora)

Manifestation: Tsutatora has the body of a tiger with mostly white, partially orange fur. He has fox ears and a pair of huge off-white wings whose outer parts are made of leaves. The tail is made up of leaved jungle ivy.

Form: When the release command is said, Katsumi's katana glows in a white light. From then on, the light becomes smaller and smaller until it completely vanishes when the transformation is complete, and it leaves a karambit behind. The knife's handle is of a red colour and has black stripes scattered around it.

Ability: Midoriiro Sushi (Green seed)
In its released state, Tsutatora has the ability to implant seeds into any inanimate object it comes into contact with. Each seed costs 100 reiatsu, and for every 2000 connection gained, Katsumi may plant an additional seed per stroke. Over a period of 2 turns, the planted seeds grow into long vines of ivy. The maximum length for any one vine is 10 feet.

Ability: Jiyuu no Ichiboku (Freedom of one tree)
By expending 2% of his reiatsu, Katsumi may choose to animate either a maximum of 10 vines or to manipulate naturally occuring foliage within a radius of 50 feet for one turn. The vines are capable of grappling, manipulating objects, or even lashing out in a fashion similar to his own zanpakutou.

Some slight editing later...

Zanpakutou - Tadatori

Name: Tadatori (Freebird)
Shikai Release Command: Spread your wings. Set me free, Tadatori!

Manifestation: Tadatori takes the form of an old, four-winged eagle with scars decorating its body, the most prominent one being a large one that runs down its right eye. He has an old, raspy voice that speaks with constant wisdom, though at times it can be mistaken for senility as he almost always speaks in riddles to Tougen. If there is one thing that is clear to Tougen about ‘Tada’, it’s that he always stresses that Tougen never give up his freedom for any reason. He becomes agitated and paranoid whenever Tougen is locked into a room, no matter the reason. How Tada feels about Tougen is currently unknown, though he seems to take on a grandfatherly role of sorts. He claims to be descendant of a warrior culture, though which is unknown to even Tada himself, as his memory is quite the reverse of Tougen’s.

Shikai Appearance: When the command phrase is spoken, Tougen’s katana straightens itself and lengthens, becoming a 4.5’ long claymore. Along the side of the blade is the Greek letter, Ω (Omega), engraved into the steel. The guard is and eagle, with the wings spread outwards to form the guard, with the head grasping the blade in its jaw, with the lower body missing. The handle remains red, though now it’s a vibrant crimson. The pommel is a single claw of a bird clutching a tourmaline orb.

O Uyoku no Fuki – On Wings of Freedom: Upon the release of Tadatori, two wings consisting of tribal-like tattoos emerge from his back on the outside of whatever clothing he is wearing. The wings are solid and can be used to bat away enemies or even to block attacks. Flight is capable, and hairpin turning is also enabled on both land and in air. The wings are an extension of Tougen, so he feels pain if they are struck, as well being just as vulnerable to the elements as he is. They have the same durability as normal bird wings. The wings can be used to block an attack, but they are easily broken and usually used as such as a last ditch effort. If destroyed, Tougen must wait one round before they recreate themselves.

Nigenai Fuki – Unworthy of Freedom: Tougen reserves this attack, using it only when all else fails or when someone succeeds in the task of angering him. Gathering his reiatsu into either of his arms, legs or even his claymore, he will launch dozens of small, pellet-sized shards resembling broken glass created out of the reiatsu from the designated area to pierce through an enemy, scattering the shards in a cone pattern on launch. This attack costs 4% of Tougen’s reiatsu.

Name: Sentouitsu

Command: Let It Die, Sentouitsu

Manifestation:
Sentouitsu appears to be a middle aged man with tinted skin and long flowing ebony hair. On top of his head is a black top hat. His eyes are covered by a pair of tinted sunglasses while a small scar can be seen on his chin. He wears a leather jacket with beat up blue jeans. A chain hangs from his right pocket that is attached to a small book of guitar tabs. His attitude is usually calm and he always has something wise to say. The inner world in which he lives in appears to be a recording studio with guitars laying around and a single drumset off in the corner. The walls are painted red with pictures of roses and guns. Whenever Kara sees Sentouitsu he is usually tuning one of the many guitars in the room never being able to find the perfect sound no matter how hard he tries.

Form: After uttering the command, Kara’s blade sprouts two pairs of wings, one big and one small, near the hilt, as strings made of reiatsu attach themselves to the blade. The entire blade becomes a metallic silver color and the strings reach almost to the top of the blade. The blade is on a red strap that is worn by Kara. The sword becomes half guitar, half blade.

Form
SwordGuitar.jpg

Abilities:

Nami Adiosu (Wave Goodbye) -
After playing a riff and paying 10% reiatsu, Kara is able to send out sound waves, that reach 15 meters in a 360 degree radices around himself, that have the strength equal to 7% of his zanjutsu stat.

Amai Mugen (Sweet Dreams) -

By playing a slower riff and paying 5% reiatsu, Sentouitsu glows a bright orange, this increases all kidou caste within a 10 meter radices around Kara by 5% of his kidou stat.

Shikai: Kiyasume Kujaku (Soothing Peacock)

Release Command: Wareme Tentou, Kiyasume Kujaku (Split the Heavens, Soothing peacock)

Manifestation: Kiyasume Kujaku takes the form of a female peacock, whose feather colour varies in different shades of blue, sky blue and teal. She is proud of herself, playful and speaks to Hikari with a calm and soothing voice. She is also very guiding and protective of Hikari, willing to help her.

The inner world that within Kiyasume Kujaku resides is a lush green plain. Kujaku likes to play hide and seek with Hikari as she arrives into the plain, thus the girl hardly ever finds the spirit at first glimpse of the world.

Form/ Ability: Hikari pushes her zanpakutous hilt and sheath together, which then transforms into a pair of kusari-gama. They are slightly modified kusari-gama that there is no weight in either one, and they are linked with a single chain. The chain is roughly three feet in length and is hung loosely between the two blades. The blunt end of each are covered with a fabric, that’s coloured navy blue and pulse slightly with a blue hue.

The chain by which the kusari-gama is linked together is formed by Hikari’s reiatsu and thus is able to extend up to thirty feet. The chain can be extended five times before it must return to the normal state.

Reference: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c3/Kusarigama.jpg

Abilities:

"Unsan” (Disperse)
Hikari can disperse any kidou-like attack, by slashing at it with her kusarigama imbued with equal or more reiatsu than the cost of the ability. However this ability can’t be used on kidous that take four or more slots to equip originally.

Shikai- Sasori (Scorpion)

Release Command- "Kantsuu, Sasori” (Pierce, Scorpion)

Manifestation- Sasori, true to name, takes the form of a giant scorpion. The first thing you would notice is that instead of being filled with venom, the stinger on his tail appears to emit an electric charge. He tends to take a very quick, violent reaction to things, and is very harsh towards people. More often than not, Luken has to catch himself from saying the things that Sasori says to him, as they are truer to his thoughts than he would like to admit. He always seems reluctant to lend his power to Luken, preferring that the shinigami solve his problems on his own.

Sasori’s inner world is an arid desert. Towards the southern end of the world, there is a tall mountain with a cave in the side of it. Often times Sasori can be found in this cave, avoiding the outside heat.

Form- Luken grasps his zanpakutou in one hand, and his sheath in the other. When he utters the command phrase, they both glow the color of sand, and transform into two emecei. (See picture below for idea of what the weapons look like). When the transformation is complete, the bandage covering Luken’s right hand is gone, revealing the bare skin.

Picture of Emecei
arm_219.jpg

Attacks/Abilities-

Kaiten- (Rotation)
By spending 100 reiatsu, and opening up his palm, Luken can spin his emecei rapidly, sending out a faint whirring noise. While being spun, the weapons act as saw blades. Luken can halt their rotation immediately by closing his hand on them. It costs 100 reiatsu to stop the emecei spinning so that Luken doesn’t injure himself in the process. Can start/stop spinning once per round.

Kanden- (Shock)
Luken can pay 100 reiatsu to begin charging his emecei with electricity that stuns and shocks the opponent. Since the electricity is created from his own reiatsu, it isn’t felt by Luken. It costs 50 reiatsu per round to continue to channel electricity into the emecei. There is no cost to stop imbuing the weapons with electricity, but it costs 100 reiatsu to begin charging again.

Bankai

Name:

Kakuchou Hishou Masurao

Form:

Upon lifting his jian horizontally in front of him and speaking the word “Bankai,” an emerald glow emanating from the jian spirals around Kago and engulfs him in a sphere of light. After a few brief moments, the sphere breaks down into solid beams swirling around him before they return to the blade, one by one.

After the brightness begins to fade and the dust settles, Kago can be seen still standing in his original position, holding a new zanpakutou. The blade has extended in length and broadened in width. In addition, the guard lengthens outward and sweeps forward, running parallel to the blade.

The zanpakutou is not the only new item. Kago’s entire shinigami uniform has been replaced by the military attire of ancient China (the attire of his zanpakutou spirit’s human form).

Ability:

Kyuukyoku Tojikomemasu (Final Sealing/Lockdown)

The moment that his released blade makes contact with an opponent’s shikai or bankai, Kago can expend reiatsu equivalent to 5% of his opponent’s connection to revert their zanpakutou back to its unreleased state. This effect only lasts for 3 rounds for an opponent’s bankai form and 6 rounds for an opponent's shikai form. In addition, if the kai has no tangible form, the same effect may be applied by striking the opponent’s body.

Seeing that this ability is based on the connection a shinigami has with his/her zanpakutou, this ability can also be used against vizards by following the same rules. The only difference, however, is that if the vizard is masked, Kyuukyoku Tojikomemasu is rendered ineffective. In addition, any vizard can bypass the round limitation by calling upon his mask and then releasing his kai form.

Release Level: Shikai:

Name: The Maiden of Agony

Release Phrase: Flay their flesh, and force them to their knees.

Manifestation: The Maiden of Agony takes the form of a middle aged woman, although that wouldn’t be recognized at first glance. Her body is coated in thick layers of bandages, nearly all of which are bloody. She has no visible hair, and the only part of her body that is visible through the bandages is her left eye. The tiny amount of flesh around it reveals a plethora of scars.

Form: Amaya releases the blade by uttering the release phrase, and swinging her blade across her body. Once this occurs her hand remains clenched around the tsuka, while the tsukaito elongates enveloping the lower part of her arm, and extending to cover the blade. The blade is broken down inside tightly wound cloth, fragments of which protrude out. The cloth spreads into five distinct cords, resembling five small whips, each of which is lined with segments of the blade. These whips are about a half an inch in diameter, and measure about five feet long.

When she completes the swing, the whips come to rest lodged in her back. Additionally segments of the blade are used in the arm holding the weapon. Multiple small pieces of it puncture the entire arm as a means of making it more difficult to be disarmed. These wounds are for one simple purpose: pain. Thus these wounds (and only these wounds) are healed as soon as the blades are removed, yet they leave scars.

Attacks:

[Devour them with agony]

Upon saying these words a small amount of highly evaporative liquid covers each of the fragments of metal in the weapon. This liquid last only long enough for one swing, and is best used when the blades are already in the victim. This liquid is a toxin that causes no damage to the body at all. Its sole purpose is to stimulate nerves, causing an intense amount of pain, paralyzing the subject for two seconds. This attack uses 5% of Amaya’s total Reiatsu.

[Spread and show us all your pain]

Immediately Amaya floods the whips with Reiatsu, causing some of them to move in directions that she chooses. She then uses the weapon in a similar way, only the movements of some of the whips are not related to the movement of the other, rather they go where she wants them to. This allows her to use some for defense, stopping blades, and other for offense simultaneously. She spends 200 Reiatsu to activate this ability, and an additional 100 each turn that it is active. At fist she may only control one whip separately, but for every 2,000 connection beyond 1,000 she may control another one, each additional whip requires an additional 100 Reiatsu per turn.

Here we go @_@

Shikai - Kai Tuo Zi

Name – Genzou no Soushi (Vision of Creation, or Creation’s Vision)

Release Phrase – Keigai! (Ruin!)

Form – Genzou no Soushi takes the form of a long sword, two feet longer than its sealed counterpart (about 6 feet). The hilt it now one foot in length, and is now a dark slate gray color, intricate in design. The tsuba melds into one gear rather than two, and forms itself vertically rather than horizontally, and is seven inches in diameter. It is a dark gray color with a silver trim, and slightly detached to allow it to be moved like a dial. The blade itself is 4’5”, and is perfectly rectangular. The edges are blunt and the blade as a whole is the same dark gray color as the tsuba, and has a one-and-a-half inch depth.

Manifestation - Genzou no Soushi’s manifestation is that of a life-size, mechanical doll of sorts. The torso is dark gray and metallic in nature. The limbs are made of metal, but everything except the joints are covered with a beige material. In the middle of the torso, there is an empty area where the innards of the spirit can be seen, in which merely a series of mechanical pieces move at an even pace. A dome-shaped cage is set over this area. The head is a black, shapeless mass that is held together only by a dragon’s head-shaped helmet, white in color. Two bright red dots represent the eyes of the spirit. Behind it, a single, large gear floats without spinning.

Ability: Seisoku Fukuhon – (Living Copy)
Genzou no Soushi gives Tuo Zi the ability to dismantle any mechanical object into its separate parts, down to the smallest bolt. With any available parts, a robot that is much like the Zanpakutou’s spiritual manifestation in physical form, comes to life, imbued with Tuo Zi’s reiatsu. The maximum size that any of these robots can be is the height of Tuo Zi himself. The robot can move anywhere Tuo Zi pleases, and it mimics his movements.

To use this ability, 1,000 reiatsu must be spent to dismantle every object, regardless of size; and create the robot. To sustain each robot, another 50 reiatsu must be spent each turn. For every 1,000 connection gained (starting at 1,000), the total number of robots that can be created increases by one. Robots can be created from a destroyed robot, so long as the materials are still usable.

One robot can be made per turn, and only two may exist simultaneously in the beginning. For every 1,000 connection gained (starting at 1,000), the maximum number of robots that can exist at any given time increases by one. A total of 10 robots can exist simultaneously, should the connection grow to that level.

Level: Shikai

Name: Spirit of progression (Kaizen taido)

Note on translation: I couldn't find a direct translation for "progression." I used a synonym instead- kaizen, which means betterment or continuous improvement. If there's a better translation for "(In the) spirit of progression", let me know. In fact, the English of each ability is exactly what I'm aiming for so if my Japanese-fu is off target, please tell me. I used a dictionary.

Command: Ashisuto, Kaizen taido
"Assist, spirit of progression”

Manifestation: Kaizen Taido is the top half of a completely normal and unadorned shinigami, the rest of him obscured in mist. He looks old but happy and speaks with a kind and gentle tone. The use of the zanpakutou abilities makes him happy, and he will always stand by Leo when he communes with an innocent trapped inner spirit such as ones found inside Hollow.

Form: Once released, it looks like an unreleased soul slayer at first except both the blade and sheath now have a winding design of a set of soft red lines and this pattern continues until the handle which is now an off-white base with dark purple crosshatch handle grip wrappings made of the standard grip fabric. The handle wrappings on the blade, secured at the end, are attached to the sheath by a cord of the same fabric that measures 3 feet in length. Every use of Taikou or Konekuto temporarily make the markings on the sheath and blade of it's released form longer by about a centimeter and this effect resets once the blade is resealed.

The sealed form now shares the fabric connecting the blade handle to the sheath, but doesn't have the other changes.

Regress (Taikou):
The primary ability of Kaizen Taido, oddly enough, is a step backwards. When the command is spoken the metal of Leo's blade becomes a dark red color progressing at a gradient back to normal to the sharpened end. By placing either the sheath or the blade near his body, he can regress his skin, blood, bone, or even muscle tissue into his own reiatsu in small amounts. The affected cells cease to be physical, so it is as if his body has actually lost them. Up to 2 square centimeters can be done per use, and it provides him with exactly 1% of his maximum reiatsu for use in reiatsu based abilities that is stored in the blade and sheath themselves. Because he is damaging himself with the ability however, every use also makes him temporarily lose 3% of all his current base stats (Zan/Hak/Hou/Kid.) Leo can only perform this ability 5 times at perfect health, and less if he begins damaged.

Every use of Taikou makes the lines adorning the soul slayer and it's sheath to begin to glow softly, beginning from the bottom of the sheath and working it's way up to the point of the blade. These lines contain the reiatsu created by the ability, and they dissipate when it is used. If these glowing lines come into contact with a large amount of hostile reiatsu, they will rupture and explode violently with a blast most likely incapacitating him at best and putting him into critical condition at worst. The zanpakutou itself will most likely shatter as well if this happens. This danger as well as the reduction of his fighting abilities due to stat loss mean that Taikou is severely impractical in combat.

Connect (Konekuto):
The secondary ability of Kaizen Taido is the ability to allow Leo to speak with any human spirit comprising a hollow or any other shinigami that is up to 50 yards away. This range increases with Leo's Connection and Kidou stat together- for every 100 connection the ability can be used and maintained from 5 farther yards away but he cannot exceed one fourth his Kidou stat in Con points used for the extension. The connection will break if the target exits the maximum range or after 10 minutes.

So long as the source of a spirit is in range of the ability Leo and his blade can, if they work together, commune with it- this just means that human spirits comprising hollow are located where the hollow is. Leo can decide when the connection is being made if he wants it to be internal or a broadcast that projects in a normal volume for the things being said in which case Leo must also speak out loud.

To create the link, Leo must focus with his entire intact blade and sheath for 20 uninterrupted seconds and he must have sight of the target. Anything except for minor movement, even blocking an attack or a shunpo movement, will cancel the ability's progress.

All this ability allows is for Leo to talk with the spirit. It doesn't give them any special power to influence each other. The target may refuse the connection or either may break it at any time. Forces with 1.5x times the reiatsu of the stronger spirit in the link can monitor any internal conversation without them knowing. Leo can only create and maintain one such connection at a time. The two of them are not scanning each others' minds during this- they actively send any messages as if they had a second mouth that could only speak for the connection. This can actually allow someone to speak two different sentences out loud simultaneously if they have the mental capacity (which the average shinigami probably does not), but this can't be used to chant kidou or activate anything in any way.

Advance together (Tagaini shinkou):
The final ability of Kaizen Taido is that Leo and the blade's presence can literally help others to work together for a common goal. When released, the sword and Leo will emit a passive 50 yard spherical aura together- and only together. The blade, the sheath, and Leo must be together for this to work so a temporary disarming will cancel the ability temporarily, but the ability begins on and stays on unless Leo shuts it off.

Anyone Leo has a word count of 5,000+ with in a 50 yard area will experience a 1% increase in their single highest core stat (not Rei/Con/Harmony.) If two are tied, pick one. For every person affected by the ability, anyone they have a word count of 10,000+ with in a 50 yard area from them gets this 1% increase as well. This repeats with a requirement of 15,000+ in a 50 yard area from them as well. These bonuses don't ever stack. The most any target can get is a 1% increase. This cost of this chain of bonuses will continue to increase by 5k word requirements for each jump. This chain increase is not normally visible but it is detectable if someone has 1.5x Leo's maximum reiatsu. Leo may deactivate the ability if needed.

If affected targets have United Front with each other, the bonus becomes 3%.

If affected targets have achieved Fate of Triangles with each other, the bonus becomes 5% and cannot be broken or interrupted by outside effects, only by the ability being canceled, Leo losing Shikai, or someone moving out of range.

However, anything that for some reason breaks United Front/Defense/FoT will reduce the bonus accordingly. (So in the presence of some sort of enemy Shiroi, the bonus would regress back to 1%.)

Screw it, here goes nothing...

Bankai

Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu – “Final Sacred Flame Intervention”
Form:
Physically, nothing changes about Shinka Kainyuu’s form between shikai and bankai levels. It remains a set of black bracers that covers from Makoto’s hands up to about his elbow with curved blackened steel reinforcements on the backs of Makoto’s hands. The bracers still serve as a conduit to channel reiatsu into Makoto’s hands to allow him to form the surgical blades or claws. Upon the release of Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu, a glowing white circle forms around Makoto’s feet and begins to expand outward to a diameter of 50 yards. From the boundaries of this circle a dome is constructed from the ground up to a height of 25 yards made up of beams of reiatsu in a lattice-like formation.
The dome itself may prevent the attack of those within from any outside forces at a cost of 5% to Makoto’s reiatsu stat. For this cost the dome can withstand up to an equal amount in damage (from the outside or within).

Ability: Shizenchiyu || Mochikuzusu — “Spontaneous Healing || Self Degradation (lit. to ruin (degrade) oneself)”

The reiatsu emitted by Makoto during bankai contains powerful healing properties. It permeates the wounds of the injured and begins to repair physical damage and coerce out foreign reiatsu (similar to the actions of the Chiyudo current). The healing occurs gradually depending upon the severity of the injury. Minor cuts and abrasions will close over the course of a few minutes. Major injuries would be aided by these healing properties, but will still require direct healing efforts. For any fellow healers working within the walls of the dome, the cost for any Chiyudo is halved.

Through the bond forged between Makoto and Shinka Kainyuu, Makoto is able to exclude known enemy combatants from the healing effects of Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu at his discretion. Those excluded from Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu’s healing effects will be prey to an inverse effect. Known enemies will find the air within the dome to be thick and oppressive, almost as if the enclosed area was filled with a virulent toxic smog. Labored breathing begins almost immediately after the release of Makoto’s bankai. Because of Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu’s effects upon an opponent’s respiratory system they will expend an extra 50% cost for any action taken while under the dome’s effect.

Attack:
With the area within Kyuukyoku Shinka Kainyuu’s dome saturated with Makoto’s reiatsu, the formation of certain kidou becomes effortless and enhanced. Being a cheap but versatile spell, Byakurai became one of Makoto’s favorite offensive kidou. In bankai, for the cost of 5% to reiatsu and the normal cost of the spell, Makoto may create a ball of kidou energy that will float in the air when released. At his command, the ball of energy will explode in a shower of 20 Byakurai beams that arch outward from the point of emission towards the opponent.

Attack:
As a last resort, Makoto can expend 10% of his reiatsu to break down the lattice-work of the dome in to individual beams. At his command, the multitude of beams will point inward, keying in on his opponent’s position, and rain down with the intention of skewering the unfortunate soul with the shards. Once this attack is used, Makoto’s bankai will end.

Here goes, my first try at this.

Level: Shikai

Name: Inuwashi - (Golden eagle)

Command: Shackle the world, Inuwashi.

Manifestation:
Inuwashi takes the appearance of a majestic white eagle, with the beak, talons, and feather linings colored gold. The eagle measures 7 ft across the wingspan, and 3 ft in body length. Inuwashi is the embodiment of everything Laughing Wolf envies in others and strives for himself, decisiveness, inspiration, tranquility and most importantly, freedom.

Shikai appearance:
Laughing Wolf holds up his zanpakutou in front of him, and as he utters the command phrase he slowly unsheathes the blade. Both blade and sheath are then emblazoned in a bright white light. The white light rapidly creeps up and entwines his arms and chest until finally meeting behind his back. As the two ends connect the light slowly dies down and reveals a heavy, 2 inch thick, black chain now wrapped around his chest and arms. The two ends of the chain, now hanging from his fists, are marked by barbed wolf heads in black steel. The wolf heads are hollow and can be used as knuckles in close combat.

Laughing Wolf can also extend the chain outward to attack his foes at a distance, with the wolf heads working as weights. If he uses both chains for attacking simultaneously he can extend them a maximum of 20ft, or 40ft if he only uses one.

Abilities

Using Spec point from becoming Vice Captain to change Shikai.

Shikai

Thana
Trucido, Thana!

Form – Twin Sai. These Sai are made of a black metal and the grips are wrapped in a red cloth and black string.

Attacks and Abilities
Memoria – The ability Memoria enables Rin to store the ghosts of the people she kills in her inner world. Once stored, Rin also has access to the knowledge of the ghosts, making her able to discover things she did not know previously.

Nemesis – With Nemesis Rin can allow herself to be possessed by one of the ghosts which she had stored, causing her to take on some of their strengths. Rin’s reiatsu will increase by a value equal to that of 10% of her reiatsu before Shikai and she will distribute this reiatsu to her stats accordingly. Distribution must reflect on the skills of the ghost who has possessed her. For example, if a ghost who was particularly skilled in Zanjutsu possessed her, then the Zanjutsu stat would benefit.

Bankai

Thanatos

Form and Weapon – In Bankai, Rin's weapons remain a pair of Sai. However, the Sai are much longer than they were in Shikai version. As in the original, the ends of the Sai are tied in a red, tattered cloth which is held on by black string. Rin’s Shinigami uniform will also change that to that of a bright white and she will seem to speak with the voices of many; she is actually speaking with the voices of all the ghosts that she has stored.

Attacks and Abilities
Nemesis Nemesis is similar to the Shikai version, except instead of being possessed by a single ghost, Rin is possessed by many at once. Because of this, Rin’s reiatsu will now increase by a value equal to that of 30% of reiatsu before Shikai. Also, because there is not one soul in particular and so no particular skill set, the reiatsu can be distributed to her any of her stats as wished.

Miseria – At the cost of 2% of her reiatsu, Rin can force her opponent to see all those that he/she has killed by marking them with her hand, giving them a white hand print across their face. Such a sight might cause the opponent to feel guilt and the ghosts which they see will forcibly stop them from using an ability, attack or feat for three rounds. However, if the opponent has not killed someone and has a clean conscience, then the attack will have no effect.

Apate – If Rin is attacked in a way that affects her stats, one of the ghosts that Rin has stored can take the damage for her instead, Rin taking none. This can be done only five times in a single battle.

Discordia – At a cost of 100 reiatsu each, Rin can summon the ghosts she has stored to the battle, though she can spend no more than 10% of her reiatsu on the ghosts. These ghosts will automatically fly towards the opponent and, by touching them or floating through them, the opponent will feel weakened.

Singu – usually when we do summons, they drain from the person’s stats. The reason we do that is because otherwise you end up summoning a creature that fights at exactly your level while still fighting at your own level. Essentially you use your bankai to make another bankai you. That tends to become a problem. Also, remember that the rei you spend to make this summon is essentially the creature’s life force, so it’s like a creature that has more stats than it has in reiatsu which doesn’t make sense at all in our system. If you are bent on using a summon (and that’s fine) you probably need to talk with me about it. I’m going to write a summoning thing for the FAQ soon but that will not be in the near future.

P.S. what abilities does this wolf have? Most of them seem to be more a general use than linked to the wolf. It seems a shame to have an elaborate summon that doesn’t even have any special attacks.

First attack is okay

2nd attack - I have like 30,000 con. Do you think it would be fair to debuff everyone’s attacking stat by 15,000? A 50% debuff is enormous, even for three turns. You need to rethink this.

3rd – The attack reads kind of like an auto-hit nuke, so keep in mind that if its in an AOE like that, the damage isn’t focused and its not going to do the damage like a straight nuke would. The silence effect can be kind of abused so I’m kind of iffy on it, considering that its attached to a nuke and an auto-hit one at that.

Carp – My only nitpick is that there are two ammos in one ability but other than that, I think I’m fine with it. Approvedu

Sucky Kiss – Looks fine. Approvedu

Seraph – The way the wings are written still seems to make them like a sacrificial lamb barrier where its like someone blows up the wings but you take no actual damage. I realize this might not be your intention, but it can be interpreted that way and that’s kind of my problem. If they bleed and are part of you, then don’t have them regenerate and it’s probably fine.

Sound – 1st ability What is with this 7% of zan stat business? What does that even mean? I don’t know and I kind of bet that you don’t either. Also this hits everything in a 15 foot radius making it auto hit which is pretty much a no in shikai. Sing has a similar attack pending in bankai if that gives you any indication of how it doesn’t work.

Learn to spell radius.

2nd one – How long does this effect last? Does he have to pay it every round? Does it increase the cost of the kidou or is it just a damage buff? Simplicity is good, but you have to state what is going on or no one is going to get it.

Threadar – I’m pretty sure it’s the male peacocks who have the festive pluming. The female ones are pretty dull.

Form is fine

Ability – what does kidou like attack mean? Is it just kidou or…? Help me out here.

Raptor – first ability is fine
2nd ability – how big an area is stunned? For how long? What happens when your opponent has way over 100 reiatsu? This is kind of a weak attack because the cost itself is weak. If you are okay with that, so am I, but I need clarification on whatever stun effect you want to have.

Kaggot – My main issue is that this sends a guy in bankai back to his unreleased form rather than his shikai form, essentially nuking his rei by 40% for a single hit. I’d have it more where you have to seal a bankai to shikai before sealing it completely.

Switch -1st ability – local paralysis is okay, but the way its written, the entire body is paralyzed. Keep in mind that a person can be beheaded pretty quickly in two seconds. The paralysis as it is written can’t work.

2nd ability – fine.

Etarnal champion – Approvedu

Arkan Asylum – 1st ability – fine, if a bit too focused on nerfing yourself
2nd ability – the range is done really way too weirdly. Just pick a max and go with it please.
3rd – I’m iffy on this ability in that its free. You should probably have a per round cost. This is a 3 ability kai and it’s a little too much to put on one potato.

Dips – The form has an ability which is usually a no no. The thing is you have t wo attacks. You could just move it down ot the 3rd attack slot and it’d be fine.

Ability – there is a lot of stuff packed into the one ability. It’s kind of borderline and it’d sit better if the cost amp for enemies was a little lower.

Attack 1: megabyakurai is fine.

Attack 2: This doesn’t cost much for a last ditch attack. You will want to increase the cost, trust me.

Typpoh: Don’t make place holder posts. I’m not going to go back and read this so you might as well just make another post when you are actually ready. Read the release FAQ.

Roast: You don’t need to increase the reiatsu in the first ability. Just do the stat point distribution. Other than that, fine.

Bankai: See above, no free rei boost. It is just distributed to your stats. The way it’s written, its like you get 70% extra rei rather than 40% extra rei. You are only getting that to your stats, not your rei.

The attacks are okay.

Edited the reiatsu bit, written it to say that it's only towards stats and not rei. Sorry about that.
