A slighty confused and often mispelled discussion
[13:17] Yggdrassiil: say u;ve veeb looking at the vizard sheet...
[13:17] Yggdrassiil: hows it work?
[13:17] Yggdrassiil: i mean to use vizard techniques we need rage right?
[13:18] Aaron Chmielewski: Yes.
[13:18] Yggdrassiil: how the hell does that work....froim what Im reading.....its kind of a....
[13:18] Aaron Chmielewski: Each turn you wear your mask will generate rage. When your rage is high enough, you can "spend" it to use Vizard abilities such as Cero
[13:18] Yggdrassiil: wait i thought that was the old system
[13:19] tmchairboy: hmm
[13:19] tmchairboy: thta;s not right
[13:19] Yggdrassiil: didn;t van re do that?
[13:19] tmchairboy: viz techniques add rage
[13:19] tmchairboy: when 100% is reached, shit gets real
[13:19] Aaron Chmielewski: Hm.
[13:19] Aaron Chmielewski: So Rage is Emptiness now.
[13:19] Yggdrassiil: but how does one uise viz thecnice...when you have nop rage to begin with
[13:19] tmchairboy: viz techniques add rage
[13:19] Yggdrassiil: its a paradox!
[13:20] Yggdrassiil: but don't you need rage to USE the techniques?
[13:20] Aaron Chmielewski: Ahhh.
[13:20] Aaron Chmielewski: I see.
[13:20] Aaron Chmielewski: New system uses rage differently.
[13:20] tmchairboy: seems so
[13:20] Aaron Chmielewski: Instead of starting with rage and spending it down to gain emptiness, you start without rage and build it as you use Hollow abilities.
[13:20] Aaron Chmielewski: Effectively changing two things into one.
[13:21] Yggdrassiil: so there are some hollow abilities that don't use rage
[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski: It's a nice simplifiation.
[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski:

[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski: No there aren't.
[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski: Not for Vizasrd.
[13:21] Yggdrassiil: you mean like hollow defense?
[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski: We don't know Hollow defense is remaining.
[13:21] Aaron Chmielewski: Or in what form.
[13:21] Yggdrassiil: THEN HOW IN TINKLE DILLS does it work?
[13:21] tmchairboy: useing techs adds rage, demasking removes rage it seems
[13:22] Yggdrassiil: but how does one use..when one does....*seixzure*
[13:22] Yggdrassiil: and i see how we gain rage
[13:22] Aaron Chmielewski: Think of Rage like the heat in a gun, okay.
[13:23] Aaron Chmielewski: As you fire your gun, the heat is going to rise along the barrel.
[13:23] Aaron Chmielewski: If it rises to high, that barrel is going to warp and cause a potentially deady misfire.
[13:23] tmchairboy: and death happens
[13:23] Yggdrassiil: i see....but doesn't that require bullets to be loaded in the first place?
[13:24] Yggdrassiil: from how things are being read...you magicaslly us ebullets you don';t have?
[13:24] Aaron Chmielewski: Rage is a lot like that. You fire your Vizard "gun" -- techniques, Vizard kai abilities, et cetera -- and your Rage (heat) rises. If your rage increases too much, your inner Hollow will rebel and potentially take over.
[13:24] Yggdrassiil: ...
[13:24] Yggdrassiil: does vizard techniques USE rage?
[13:24] Aaron Chmielewski: Rage isn't the ammunition. It's a causality of using the ammunition. You have the ammunition already because you're part Hollow, and you're drawing on that power.
[13:24] Aaron Chmielewski: No. From the current system, I'd say Vizard techniques cause rage.
[13:25] Yggdrassiil: will there be vizard techniques that DON'T use rage?
[13:25] Aaron Chmielewski: I doubt it.
[13:25] tmchairboy: look at the list, that's the best way of knowing
[13:25] Aaron Chmielewski: Rage is written to be the limitation on Vizard powers.
[13:25] Yggdrassiil: tHEN BEFORE i lose what little snaity that god has given...
[13:25] Aaron Chmielewski: Since you get a fuckton of extra power, there needs to be a pretty dangerous counterbalance.
[13:26] Yggdrassiil: pretty effective counterbalance condsidering theres no way to get rage.....
[13:26] Yggdrassiil: I actually see that the only way to actually gain rage
[13:26] Yggdrassiil: is to not write.
[13:26] Aaron Chmielewski: No wonder your kais suck.
[13:26] Yggdrassiil: you gain 5% per week
[13:27] Yggdrassiil: if you right your rage is decreased by 30%
[13:27] Aaron Chmielewski: You lose 30% per week if your Hollow is tamed.
[13:27] Yggdrassiil: indeed.
[13:27] Aaron Chmielewski: That's beside the point. Any time you fight using Hollow abilities, you're going to gain Rage.
[13:27] Aaron Chmielewski: That's just the way it works.
[13:27] Aaron Chmielewski: It'll be a lot harder to lose rage than gain it.
[13:27] Yggdrassiil: i understand the gaining rage by using hollow abilties...
[13:28] Aaron Chmielewski: You don't use it once you've gained it.
[13:28] Aaron Chmielewski: RAGE IS BAD AND WILL KILL YOU.
[13:28] Aaron Chmielewski: Rage is congenital heart failure. It's a stroke waiting to happen. You get too much rage, you start to Hollowfy.
[13:28] Yggdrassiil: i get that as well....so basiaclly when we use a cero...we don't spend any rage just reiatsu....and we gain 20% rage in equivalence
[13:29] Aaron Chmielewski: You start to Hollowfy, GMs get to interfere and maybe kill the fuck out of you.
[13:29] Aaron Chmielewski: As far as I know, yes.
[13:29] Yggdrassiil: once again good sir....i get that
[13:29] Aaron Chmielewski: Maybe not 20% though.
[13:29] Yggdrassiil: where does spenmding rage come into it?
[13:29] Aaron Chmielewski: The specifics aren't out yet.
[13:29] Aaron Chmielewski: I imagine the techniques and abilities for vizard are getting a huge overhaul.
[13:29] DraganDDR: You don't spend rage
[13:29] Yggdrassiil: okay
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: Oh wait, nevermind. It is out.
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: Ooh, nice.
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: Cero works like this, Yggy.
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: You shoot a Cero.
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: You gain 20% rage.
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: No direct reiatsu cost.
[13:30] tmchairboy: speed is based on kidou stat
[13:30] tmchairboy: or ability stat
[13:30] tmchairboy: which you wouldn't have
[13:30] Aaron Chmielewski: The equivalent power is 20% of your reiatsu, but you don't spend reiatsu. You just gain rage.
[13:31] Yggdrassiil: And at last my sanity is preserved as understand inks in....many thanks dil and to all who helped you
