I'll Kick Your Ass In A Bit
It was indeed an artifact of age, one that had been used in the past, but no real information was handed down throughout the generations. There was something special about the small blade and that was left for the scarred boy to figure out. He had gotten the name so far; Tenkuu no Joshu. According to Kyoujin, it was a descendant of the heavens, passed down through a single bloodline and finally stolen by Eiji. Perhaps he would return it one day, but that was not in the near future. This was gonna help him find a way to actually locate his brother, and find out if he was still alive. But it was still a long way to go from there.
The boy exited the cave and headed back throughout the woods, towards the mansion where he had found the knife. He had to locate the master guard quickly. The older man would probably have some sort of idea of what kind of power the blade had, or at least know someone who did. It was only a matter of time before Eiji found him.
The master guard had lost the boy earlier, somewhere in the large forest, almost immediately after revealing himself to him. The battle they had fought was not real, or at least not for Ikari. He was a shinigami just like the young boy, and he also wielded a zanpakutou, but his abilities were far from normal. The thing that had fought with Eiji was not a real body or an illusion. It was more of a clone, one able to follow the exact movements of the wielder of the spiritual sword. The movements themselves did not have to be made by the master guard. He simply had to think of them and the clone would move so. It was an amazing ability, greater than any he had seen before.
It was a perfect ability for someone of his caliber, one which would let him an advantage over his foe and make sure that he would be able to district him. That split second that the clone was in the way could be the time he needed to get rid of his target, or even save his own life. The number of uses of the ability was many, but that was not his only ability.
Other than the clone, he had the ability to enhance his own sword and give it that extra edge that one would need in a battle. Every hit from his sword gave him a bit more damage in the next swing. This ability would strain the body a lot and was used with precaution. He could only use the ability if he had to finish a battle quickly, or else much could go wrong. He preferred not to use it at all, but there were times where you simply had to.
And the he had his final attack. Unlike anything you had seen before, the nature of his zanpakutou was weird. A clone could fit very well with the ability like the one who gave him more strength of every hit, but not this one. It was extraordinary when comparing it to the rest. The fact that he could kill his target almost instantaneously with it proved that fact. A reckless swing would turn into much more than just that. The attack he used as his grand finale was one that was small, yet lethal. If he ever managed to stab his opponent, he could spread a poison into his target through the tip of the blade. The poison would spread casually and not very quickly, but there would be certain death for the poisoned one. He carried a vial of cure with him at all times, and not even his death would stop the toxin.
He moved quickly, on the ground and thoroughly searching for the assassin. If not for the fact that he had sent the clone, the party would probably be over by now. He had a feeling that he was stronger than the young boy, but he had been outmatched in speed.
At the same time, Eiji moved closer and closer to Ikari. The path he traveled was on the ground as well, but in the opposite direction of the one he searched for. It was in fact perfect for him, because he could feel the older man coming towards him, running at top speed. By his calculations, it was only a matter of minutes before the two of them actually found each other.
Eiji stopped, standing in front of his previous combatant and grabbed the hilt of his zanpakutou. He felt the knife inside of his shihakushou, sticking closely between his leg and gut, wrapped in a fine cloth and sheathed. He had to hide it for now, if there were to be any other enemies to join the fight. A good thief could probably snatch it from him if he had it visible to everyone.
"Yamamura Eiji, Twelfth division.” The scarred death god introduced himself as he unsheathed his sword.
"Ikari...” his introduction was nothing more than that. If not for the fact that he had been a member of the Gotei Thirteen previously, he probably would’ve given his full name. He did not want the boy to find out who he was and spread the information. He was pleased with the life he had now and that was enough for him. The spiritual courts were part of his past and he would let them stay there.
"I see that you’re ready this time boy.” The older guard unsheathed his spiritual blade and lifted it in front of him. In the next second, their blades clashed ones and they stared at their own swords. It had finally started.

The assassin awoke again, all alone inside the cave that had been built for him. The female death god had left him earlier and all that was left was the two blades and the spirit. Rising from the seat he had taken, he stashed the tanto inside of his shihakushou and sheathed his zanpakutou. The conversation he had with the spirit who came from his blade was quite giving for the boy and gave him enough advice to actually figure out something about the blade.
