I read this a while ago, but it was still enjoyable the second time around. I like how Keydis is still rough around the edges even when she's thinking about or talking to the person she loves. Despite the wording, you do a good job of getting across the idea that to Keydis, her relationship with Red is too good to be true.
It was also pretty nice to read a crafting chapter. I like the details that come along with it --you're particularly good at balancing description and action in a way that paints a good mental picture without being overwhelming.
There's something relaxing and cathartic about reading Keydis making something in the forge and I imagine that sense of calm and focus is similar to what Key feels when in the zone.
