Reviewed Week 454: Death of A Learned Man - Feedback

So, that is a way to start the timeskip. It does feel like the next installment. Something brings all the characters back together. And it just so happens to be a funeral. You know, I was thinking it might be a natural event, but turns out that it wasn't. There is a conspiracy going on! It is a good way to start things off. Everyone now has a new goal to work towards, and it looks to be one full of mystery.

To get into things more, I do remember the character that passed, and I'll miss them. It seems they really touched a lot of characters, and the funeral scenes were well done.

It does seem like life is still tough for Aeria. If it's not TorBru, it's something or someone else entirely messing with the people she cares about. Looks like everyone has a role and way of contributing to the investigation, so let's get it rolling.

Very sad to see Craxtus go. He's been with us basically from the start. The somber imagery and the ways each character carries their grief (or their anger) really helps draw out emotion. The question of who and how teases at new intrigue and while they may not be immediately connected, I wonder if this new adversary will somehow intersect with the old.

A bit of a tangent here: you frequently refer to Aeria as "a" contigeri and reference some of her mannerisms as part of prior training or tutelage. If I've missed it somewhere, I apologize, but I'd love to see more description of what this entails. The Discipline of Contigeri as a skillset isn't actually tied to an order, but the idea of some kind of corps of professional Contigeri is interesting.
