But have you tried the Pen tool with simulated pressure? <--- what i used before i bought my wacom.
I gave it a shot... I still need to get used to it, but the effect isn't bad. Thanks so much for letting me know about this. Right-click and choose "Stroke Path" then check the "Simulated Pressure" box.
Now following the line you shaped it'll do a brush stroke with simulated pressure.
From Lightest -> Hardest -> Lighest.

I've never been very fond of the Pen Tool, prolly because I got a tablet pretty early and decided that drawing was much easier than making these paths.But yeah, it looks pretty awesome! Shows that you know where your lines are supposed to go~!
