Name: Xenos Dio Jenus (Xeno, Dee-Oh, Jan-us)
Age: 25
Race: Laicar (Terran)
Vigor: 1000
Latens: 0
Persona: Xenos is a trained monk and is a happy face to see any time of day. He is someone you would call on if you needed help or if you wanted to have a good talk about philosophy. Xenos is a quick learner, but likes to wonder about the world around him so that he can learn new things. Xenos reflects on his actions and the world he sees daily at his usual spot on the beach or can be spotted doing rigorous training in the fields. Xenos is also a believer of the Omnevis religion.
But as great a person as Xenos is, he has his faults. Xenos is bound by a personal sense of duty and protection. He feels he must protect his home, just how nature protects its home. He also believes the most peaceful action is the right action, and will seek it at almost any cost. Xenos also likes to spend time away from people rather than with them.
Physical Stature: Xenos is a strong man, built in his chest and arms. He stands at a medium height, and thus would be hard to spot in a crowd, if not for his happy smile and distinct beard. His brown hair is kept in a samurai pony tail, and his beard is kept clean. His skin tone is that of a light tan, but when winter comes, he becomes a bit pale.
Xenos wears traditional monk attire, sporting a white robe with blue accents, a rice hat, wood sandals, and a small backpack full of spices, rocks, and a journal. He also carries his handmade spear ready to defend a friend or to explore the ocean. The spear head is enchanted with a fire blast in case of emergency. Xenos may also have a tattoo on his back (tbd).
Biography: Xenos Dio Janus was born and raised on the island of Iso Insulam. As a kid, Xenos would work the fields of grain during the morning, then play ball during the afternoons. For schooling, Xenos was taught by a Master Bellator user, learning the ways of destruction and creations. It was only when he got caught during a storm and forced into a library, did he pick up the beginnings of Illusionary magic.
As Xenos grew up, storms seemed to always be pointing him towards something grander in his life, so he took this as a sign to be a storm runner where he would spend his time outside during a storm and gather the energy that it provided. With the help of his magic, Xenos follows storms and uses the raw power they provide to channel his spells and protect his home.
Xenos is now on a mission to head the greater call of finding the perfect storm, to then harness it and use its power to help answer his question in life: who will he protect next?

Sample Chapter:
Off the west coast of Secare, lies the island of Iso Insulam. The island houses two medium cities, community buildings, fields for crops, and a park for recreation. Among the residents, Xenos Dio Janus, a self-taught storm runner, walked along the path to the library in hopes he would find a book of spells for the day. The sandy path that leads from the east coast to the west coast is the most traveled path on the island and today is no exception as everyone is out on the market. Xenos had a smile on his face as he waved to the people, and petted the heads of little kids that run up to meet the man that is the storm runner.
Xenos stepped into the library and greeted his favorite book keeper, Barnes Chapin.
"Xenos! What a great blessing it is to have you hear today. All your magic books are waiting for you in the corner as always." Xenos bowed in respect and walked over to his favorite chair. He took up a book on conjuring up a mirror image of one's self, and drifted into his mental zone of thought.
Hours drifted by as Xenos studied to himself, deep in thought more on the philosophy of illusion rather than the spell itself, when a sound outside woke him from his nirvana. Xenos listened closer and realized it was the sounds of people shouting, coming from the coast. Grabbing his spear, he dashed out the door and ran towards the sounds. Xenos had to push past yelling folk as he moved towards the island's edge, but he finally managed to reach the commotion's center. From out of the sea came a rock elemental creature, infused with gears and runes, wreaking havoc on the citizens and the closest buildings it could attack.
"Xenos, over here, quickly!" Captain Jeralf, a smaller, but strong soldier called out.
"Captain, how did this creature get past our wards?"
"I don't know, I sent out a small group to investigate. In the mean time we have this thing on our hands. Do you think you can handle it alone as we move the citizens to a safer distance?"
"I am up for it, but should I bring it down, or just subdue it?"
Captain Jeralf put a callused hand on Xenos's shoulder. "You know what to do lad. You have the storm's blessing, as you say." A smile was on the captain's face as he hurried away to direct people to a safe house.
Xenos looked the creature over. It was solid, skulking in motion, and yet moved with purpose. Xenos thought that odd as most elementals he met only attacked if you were in its territory, but if the rules of nature applied to the elementals, then so did they to the island of Iso Insulam. Xenos was prepared to protect his island and it was time to prove it again.
Conjuring up a portal to his hand, Xenos moved closer to the creature and got onto one knee to steady his aim. "Hey, Rocky! Look at me!" The creature turned just brief enough for Xenos to unleash a bolt of lightning at the thing. The bolt hit square in the creature's side and broke some of the rock there off. The thing let out a sound of pain, indicating Xenos hit a good spot. The elemental now turned fully to face Xenos and started a charge at him. Xenos stood his ground, spear in hand, until the final possible safe moment where he side stepped the creature and tripped it with his spear. The elemental tripped and toppled face first into sand and water. It got up and gave a mighty roar and stood in a fighting position now.
Xenos tried his hardest to read the runes on the things body, but many were foreign, even to him. Xenos was certain of one thing though, the creature must have been a working machine before nature took it over. He felt sad for the thing now, being put into such a state as trying to follow the orders of its past, yet nature trying to set it free at the same time. He knew what he had to do to save the creature. Spinning his spear around his body, Xenos built up momentum to strike. As the elemental lunged forward, Xenos thrust his spear into the opening in the right side. The enchanted spear head dug deep into the rock body, but not enough as the creature knocked Xenos into the road a few meters away. Quickly both fighters got up and into a stance to duel once again. Xenos though moved his hands and arms in a motion, activating the spears enchanted spell. The elemental's face went from an angry set, to a look of confusion as its body started to turn molten. Then fire spread through the opening of the creature and a shriek of cracking rock as the elemental melted down in front of Xenos and into the sand. Xenos kept his arm and hand motions going trying to heat the flame more to put the creature out of its pain quickly, and not soon after doing so, was there silence except for a few pops as rock became solid once more, but no longer animated.
Xenos pulled his spear out of the molten part and looked it over. The elemental had suffered enough already on this world, but taking something away still hit Xenos hard. He knelt down and gave a small prayer to the elemental hoping its energy would be set free to do better things for this world. Xenos then walked away to find Captain Jeralf again.
Dusk was approaching now, and the orange rays of the sun hit the back wall of the library once more. Xenos was back in his meditative state, pouring over pages of magic. The thought of the elemental prevented him from reaching deeper into thought though as he was bothered by a few of things, the first being the wards protecting the island, how did they fall? Second, what person fuses metal and rock and leaves it to wreak havoc? And finally, did Xenos do the right thing?
"Hey Xenos, looks like a storm is coming in tonight. Will you be running alongside it?"
"Barnes, you know the storm calls me and I must go." Xenos opened his eyes and looked towards the window.
Barnes also reflected out the window. "Xenos, thank you for protecting us today."
Xenos turned to face the man. "I was only doing what I was trained for my friend."
"I know, but," Barnes hesitated looking for his words, "just, you did something not many people on this island could do. Sure the elemental wasn't sentient, but its energy and..."
"Taking a life is difficult. I reflected on it after I had taken the elemental down. Its energy is now free to roam and find a hopefully happier place. Like maybe in the coming storm." Xenos gave a big smile as the sky became dark with clouds.
"Yea, let us hope so. Hey care to help me close up the library?"
"With pleasure Barnes, with pleasure."
