Milkmaid of the Milky Way is a charming point and click game with a pseudo pixel style. You are Ruth, a woman living by herself on the farm. You want to take care of your cows, milk them, and use that milk to make cheese and butter to sell. But then aliens! The game isn’t too long, but it’s also not expensive. For fans of point and click type games, this is a decent way to spend two or three hours.

Like I said, this game isn’t that long, but it is full of charm. All the narration, dialogue, and inspections are done in fun rhymes. I mentioned the graphics are done in a pseudo-pixel style. While things look like pixels, the resolution is higher than that so animations and effects can be smoother. The graphics do look nice and stylish, especially the nighttime scenes.

The puzzles are pretty interesting and fitting. Now the game does have some hunting around for interactable spots. The mouse cursor will change when you are over something, but sometimes things just look like part of the background. It’s not too bad, though, and overall, everything makes sense and works well.

Being a short game with such a simple play mechanic, I don’t have much more to say on it. It is a fun experience that stands out due to the writing and charm, and the focus on cows. You truly are a Milkmaid of the Milky Way.
