The stark white expanse of the Salt Flats expanded outwards. The midday sun bore-down on the battlefield, the outlying salt literally sizzling from the direct heat. The ground was unstable, a sloshy muck of salt, water, and dirt creating a viscous pool that expanded as far as the eye could see. Large open puddles of settled water hinted at a recent rainfall.

Rocky outcroppings stood throughout the flats, enormous islands in the never ending sea of salt. It was on a single outcropping that Ishmael Seerauber stood. The shade of the famous giant cactus provided him shelter from the rays of heat. His eyes remained astute; however, scanning the area of any potential movement.

His deadpan expression revealed little of his actual emotions. However, within a combination of anxiety and curiosity welled up. He was reported to this god-forsaken location in order to fight the one who was called the Soutaichou. His self-exile had caused him to grow distant from the mechanisms of the spirit world, so the name of Sayis Inuzuri was foreign to him. His memory briefly lapsed into the past, the name Gabriel Faust seeming far better aligned to the title. Then again, he had heard rumors of tumultuous happenings between Earth and the spirit world during his travels, perhaps like any other rank, the role of commander had been passed on.

Then again, it wasn’t the time to waste attempting to figure out the clerical work of Death Gods. If this Sayis Inuzuri was now the one who commanded the army of shinigami, he would indeed carry a terrifying power himself. And that alone made the white-haired elder eager to meet him.

Being the sole Cerberus representative in this brawl for all, Elena felt the need to show that Zakki’s leadership had not gone to waste. But damn it all if this outfit did not match the situation. She was all for being professional, but a suit was the last thing she wanted to wear in this kind of weather. So she started to undo her jacket as she walked through the flats.

“Fight a shinigami, fight a fellow employee, and now we’re fighting a Quincy,” she said to herself. Word had come through that some members of the near-extinct race had appeared in the tournament. It would be very interesting to see how they felt. As for the shinigami that would appear, all she’d been told was to try to stay from the blast radius. That hadn’t been much of a comfort.

When Elena arrived at the ‘arena’, which seemed ludicrous in theory, the whole flats could work as a battleground. So far only one combatant was there, and it was some old man. She assumed he was one of the Quincies, though he wasn’t her opponent. She tossed her jacket on the ground, stretching out her bare arms. She’d pick up the bill for the suit later.

[207]

There on the near-empty expanses, not far from the piled salt outcroppings where Ishmael waited, the air briefly rippled. A paper-screen door took shape, sliding open silently to reveal two figures standing inside. A pair of black butterflies with violet highlights fluttered out with the two death gods as they stepped out onto the mushy salt.

The first was none other than the Soutaichou of the entire Gotei Thirteen: Sayis Inuzuri, Captain of the Arcane Specialists, recently proclaimed Dai Kidouchou by the current Kidoushuu Sousui. Tall and broad-shouldered, Sayis somehow managed to seem both underwhelming and intimidating at the same time, with a calm disposition but eyes that seemed to pierce through those he looked upon. His dark grey hair hung halfway down his back, gathered into a simple ponytail with a strip of black cloth. The white haori that hung over his shoulders had only a single sleeve; the left arm was completely bare, revealing the Signature of the Arcane tattooed to his flesh, lines of intricate incantations spiraling up and down his arm. Currently, his right sleeve was empty, however: his arm was tucked into the side of his uniform, bandaged hand hanging loosely in front.

The girl that bounced out beside him was as different as night to day. Petite, the energetic young girl had a beaming smile, bright violet eyes full of humor. Her brunette hair was long, bundled in a long braid that hung to her waist. Both arms were bare, save for the bandages visible on her left shoulder, and the tightly coiled muscle made it clear that she was an athlete. Wearing unusual pleated black shorts, a white jinbaori and sleeveless black keikogi up top, and white sneakers with tan soles and laces, the shinigami was only adhering to her uniform in the vaguest sense.

Despite the fact that she walked beside the leader of the entire military organization, she didn't even try to hide that fact.

When the spectacle of the arriving shinigami played out and the Senkaimon vanished once again, the second-to-last member of this unique battle became apparent. While unclear how long she had been there, Rina seemed to be making no attempt to hide. The young human girl was also tiny, about the same as the shinigami girl or even a little shorter. She had on sturdy boots and short shorts, with a pristine white hoody. Her hands were tucked into the pockets and the hood was pulled down low, leaving her face in shadow. Curls of dark green hair poked out of one side of the hood.

The zipper of her coat was a silvery cross.

Rina leaned forward, curiously looking at the shinigami girl and then the Cerberus agent, seemingly confused.

"Greetings. I am Sayis Inuzuri, Soutaichou of the Gotei Thirteen," Sayis introduced himself, inclining his head. "I am pleased to meet you all, and apologize for any confusion at hand. I believe you must be my opponent, Ishmael Seerauber?" He was looking at the elderly man on the outcropping.

Rina jumped slightly, turning to look at the older man. Seeming suddenly embarrassed, she pulled her hood down a little lower and then leaned in closer toward the violet-eyed girl. "...Elena..?" she asked quietly.

"Nuh-uh. I am Kyuto Tounyuu, the one and only Lucky Seventh Seat of the First Division!" the brunette declared, pumping her fist into the air.

Shrinking back a bit, Rina nodded and then looked over to the other woman, saying nothing more but bowing her head in Elena's direction.

Above the combatants, a small spiritual signature blinked into the awareness of those below. A black and white peregrine falcon floated in lazy circles as the purple-tinted feathers around its neck caught the rays of the sun. As the bird flew in front of the sun, it began to descend at its signature speed of over two hundred miles from on high. As it fell, the bird began to noticeably change into something new and something then became glaringly apparent.

It had grown an afro.

Then the rest of the Fourth Seat began to emerge. Wings became arms, feathers merged together to become fingers, and talons morphed into feet. Brown skin was revealed as the feathers began to recede within and the familiar sixteenth note tattoo emerged on his neck. Fingerless black gloves adorned with vaguely flame-shaped lines of purple adorned his hands and headphones simply appeared, as if they had never left in the first place. Soon, the tapestry of shifting parts began to weave together.

Having once again found the form of a man, Toride Satoru condensed reiatsu around his body and slowed his descent. He landed several meters in front of the assorted gathering. The Mystic scanned the battlefield with unveiled interest, the cloudy gray eyes scanning everything around him and drinking in the details of the everything and everyone around him.

For an officer of the Arcane Arts, she's oddly toned. Not to mention... energetic. Theodoor was nothing like this girl, the Mystic noted. Ah well. She wears the jinabaori of the First, so she's clearly who she says she is. Maybe she's a hand-to-hand fighter too?

"Interesting!"

He looked to the strange girl standing beside the Soutaichou, trying to form ideas even as he smiled with that unnervingly curious glint in his eye. The brunette had already attracted his curiosity by virtue of having trained Alexia. It had not gone unnoticed among the Gotei that a Fearless Duelist was going towards to the opposite spectrum of the Gotei for instruction. She also caught his attention by way of her unusual uniform; she appeared to lack a proper shihakusho and her footwear was very unorthodox.

"Greetings, lucky one," the Mystic said in a highly playful tone, somehow manging to turn the word 'lucky' into a playful jest. "I am Toride Satoru, Inquisitive and Fourth Seat of the Tenth Division, and I have a question."

He cracked his knuckles, never once breaking eye contact with her violet stare as he added, "How lucky do you feel, Seventh Seat?"

Ishmael snorted with amusement. For the leader of the death gods, the gray-haired shinigami seemed far too cordial for his liking. Perhaps it was due to the elder’s complete ignorance towards the Arcanist’s reputation, but Sayis seemed to lack the immediate presence he expected. However, in a way that made him even more threatening.

“That assumption would be correct,” he spoke, a heavy German accent laced into his words.

He glanced over the motley crew that had been gathered. Three separate fights that all seemed to have been scheduled in the same location was certainly something he had not planned for. Then again, all of the gathered individuals were relatively unknown to him. It was up to them to avoid being caught in the crossfire.

He cleared his throat loudly, forcing the conversation to a close in a manner of speaking. The heat continued to bear down upon everyone, unsteady ray seeming to rise from the ground. Ishmael’s body seemed to wave in tune, appearing to be scattered by the heat. The cross pinned to his jacket was engulfed in a bright gold light, as he raised his hand in front himself.

Reiatsu collapsed in his hand, the immense weapon that was Lorelei created. The titanic manuballistae was pointed forward at the gathered combatants, before her quickly pointed it down towards the ground. A golden bolt appeared in the weapon, before being fired. The cannon-fire echoed backwards, the blowback pushing him back ever so slightly.

Slamming into the ground, the attack destabilized instantly. The reiatsu radiated outwards, the staggering force being forced into the viscous salt. The unstable ground was broken immediately, an immense wave of salt being thrown haphazardly towards the fighters. The air was engulfed with the chunks of the terrain, heavy boulders of the dried mixture falling from high above.

All the while Ishmael quietly turned around, before walking away in the opposite direction.

[592]

Ishmael waiting for a conversation to finish, pssssh, yeah right.

If it was unclear, the haziness of Ishmael was caused by Elusiveness, though it seems to also be due to the heat rays.

He fired Belligerency arrow directly towards the ground in front of the group of people. Wouldn't really hit anyone unless they like purposely ran into it but now there's a big wave of upheaved salt/mud/rock chunks falling down, not to mention a bunch of dust thrown about.

Reference though for the damage the arrow does: 1,500 Rei from Shuuhaku.
Elusiveness from Shuuhaku too.

Rei Used: 0

[ Ausweichen ] - "Elusiveness"

An easy to use but difficult to master technique, Ausweichen is a short-lived visual displacement. The Quincy uses ambient reishi in the air to bend light, causing them to appear 1m to the side of their actual position. This visual distortion helps improve the odds of evading attacks significantly, since even when anticipated, it's impossible to tell on sight which direction the displacement is occurring.

Any attack against the Quincy will break the illusion.

This ability costs 200 reiatsu to activate, and lasts for 3 seconds. This duration increases by 1 second per 2000 additional Namazan, capping at 10 seconds at 15,000 Namazan.

Kriegszustand - “Belligerency”

Quincy bows function in roughly the same manner, gathering, compressing, and firing ambient spirit particles. By manipulating this mechanism slightly, the functionality of arrows can be manipulated. By manipulating the polarity of collected spirit particles upon firing, Der Kriegshetzer is capable of destabilizing the fired projectiles. Arrows fired in this manner seem to vibrate rapidly similar to a Seele Schnieder.

When striking a target, arrow rapidly loses its compressed form, causing it to violently spread forward, unleashing the gathered reiatsu through sheer concussive force. Upon initial strike on the target, half the damage of the arrow is dealt as normal. The remainder of the arrow’s force is spread forward in a cone shape as concussive, knock force which is directed directly through the target before spreading in a 3 meter cone. Ishmael must pay 5% of his reiatsu, which may be paid through his Shuuhaku pool, to destabilize an arrow.

The smile didn't leave his face, not by a longshot. In fact, now he smiled because of the Quincy's longshot. For among the upheaval of salt, water, and muck, the Mystic noticed something that would make his life much, much easier.

Rocks.

The Inquisitive quickly went to work with Soshi. The rather large glob of the mess that approached him quickly came under his dominion, swirling and crashing against itself as he launched it toward Kyuto's face. While the combatants dealt with the mud slide, the Mystic took control over the few rocks within his vicinity. While she was bogged down, and hopefully blinded, he said "Sticky Draw." Then, Satoru sent one of the rocks crashing towards her back and two aimed straight for her knees. He kept the remaining two swirling around him, waiting to see what manner of attack she would employ. A sheen of sweat appeared on his forehead, both from the heat of the afternoon sun and the concentration required for controlling multiple objects at once.

[ 170 / 591 ]

Stuff
For sheer posterity's sake:

Sticky Draw - Bakudou #19, 150 Kidou

Description: Freezes a sword in whatever it's encased in. If not already pulled from its sheath, the opponent won't be able to draw their zanpakutou out of its sheath. This spell's effect lasts one round, and the sword can be drawn by destroying whatever is surrounding it.

Incantation: Hades! Unleash your charges! Zombies erupt from the underworld and manifest! Groan into my foe's sheath and cling to the soul of their slayer. Let go on pain of death. Bakudou #19, Sticky Draw.

And then this:

.:: Soshi ::. (Elements)

Soshi refers to the purest elements of the spiritual realm that culminate into telekinesis -- the most basic, fundamental ability required of a shinigami to become a Mystic. A shinigami's journey in the Tenth begins with a keen awareness of the universe and an exceptional talent in reiatsu manipulation. The Mystic must be able to harness their spiritual energy and apply it in anomalous ways to the physical world.

With Soshi, the Mystic learns to move objects with their mind. Its range of effect is within a 15-meter radius. Soshi is capable of lifting large, bulky objects like wardrobes or benches with ease; at 5,000 reiatsu, this extends to being capable of lifting and throwing objects up to a mid-sized car. It costs the Mystic 200 reiatsu to perform this ability per turn. The reiatsu of others acts as a repellent to this ability, therefore, at no point can Soshi be used to levitate other spiritual creatures or people.

From the wave of flying minerals and water, Sayis emerged, moving in a calm steady pace toward the retreating archer. Aside from closing his eyes for a brief moment, he didn't slow in the slightest from the brazen attack, and he sincerely hoped that Ishmael didn't expect him to.

The fact that the elderly Quincy had not gone for a kill shot right off the bat gave Sayis hope that not all of them would be like Eve, and that alone already had him looking forward to the rest of this fight.

To his side, a series of muted clunks sounded. The wave passed, revealing Kyuto standing in a fighting crouch, a vibrant grin on her face even covered with salt and sand. Her petite zanpakuto was gripped underhanded... still in its saya. "All sevens," she confirmed. "How about you?"

With a quick flick of her arm, the sword went flying end over end at the Mystic, still in its sheath. The brunette charged right after it, sneakers splashing through the brine.

"Mitsu, Hitotsu," Sayis called out, the tattoos on his left arm lighting up as an ethereal arm took shape and snatched the translucent sword that appeared in the air. The arm and sword projected from his right shoulder, replacing the currently wounded arm.

Meanwhile, a wide-eyed Rina stood off to one side, sputtering and spitting out salt, awkwardly trying to brush the wet clods of sodium from her clothes.

[241/827]

Notes
Just signature kidou from Sayis so far, nothing from Rina. Kyu smacked the rocks out of the air and threw her sheathed sword at Satoru. No techs used.

Remember, Soshi really isn't a magical cure-all for combat. You just grabbed three individual rocks amid a wave of debris and threw them from behind Kyu: so on top of aiming at targets you couldn't see, you were trying to do so three times simultaneously.

So your guiding stat of 2500 Kidou gets subjected to multi-weapon rules:

Multiple-weapons Control:
If not otherwise specified, controlling multiple weapons will result in the following changes:
1-2 weapons: 100% attacking skill
3-6 weapons: 75% attacking skill
7+ weapons: 50% attacking skill

This is based on the number of weapons actively used in one turn. The lowered effectiveness applies to all weapons.

So we have a case of three attacks at 1875 vs a zan stat of 7337. Even before we consider that Satoru can't see what he's attacking, Kyu's got plenty of skill and fighting experience to handle paltry salt rocks, even with her sheath slowing her down.

Things kicked up in a hurry, as the other four combatants quickly went up. Elena was left alone with the Quincy, and they shared a look as the agent brushed some of the dirt off of her shoulder.

“Please say you’re not as energetic as them,” she said.

“And yes, to answer your inquiry, I am Elena Ashida. It’s a pleasure to finally meet one of your kind. We’re both human, but yet we’re very different. Should be interesting to see how this turns out,” the agent stated, her feet shifting in the sand.

“Might I get to know your name before we begin?”

[311]

Being late to tournaments seemed to be becoming a habit for Adele. Not that she knew it, but this time, her tardiness spared her the unpleasantry of being coated with salty water from the initial explosions of battle. Settling at a safe distance, she watched the combatants with interest. Seeing Satoru fight again would be interesting as well as seeing humans. It was just her luck that she could do both at once.

"I know we came to see a four way fight, but do we really have to support Slow-toru, too?" Midnight complained from his place on her shoulder.

The nekogami rolled her eyes, "Yes. Yes we do."

"...fine...." The tomcat acquiesced rather unhappily.

[115]

The hooded young girl stared back at Elena with a blank expression, remaining silent. Turning to glance worriedly at the other combatants, Rina reached up to the silvery cross that served as her zipper. Rubbing the cool metal lightly with her thumb, she returned her attention to Elena and... shrugged.

[50/877]

Notes
Rina doesn't speak Japanese.

What you just said might as well have been an adult in a Peanuts cartoon with the name Elena thrown in there somewhere. "Wha wha whom wha Elena whom wha."

Upon seeing the girl shrug, Elena took out her phone, pulling up whatever info she could on their race. Seeing the German heritage, she wondered if it was the only language the Quincy knew. Couldn’t hurt to try.

“I hope this is more to your liking. My name is Elena Ashida, and its nice to meet you. Might I get to know your name before we begin?” she said, this time in what she hoped was the girl’s native language.

As for how she knew German...that’d be another day.

[401]

An irritated tsk rang out from Satoru. Even clearing the mud out of his line of sight hadn't improved his chances of catching her off guard. To add injury to insult, the sheathed sword then came flying at Satoru with surprising speed. He attempted to dodge it, but the blunt instrumented hit with a harsh thud on his shoulder. Nothing substantial by any means, but definitely enough to cause an ache in the impacted area.

The diminutive blade then plopped onto the mucky ground, soon becoming covering in the liquefacted salt and dirt. A flash of insight hit him then, the sudden brilliance of the idea breaking the constant swirl of his stormy eyes. He relinquished control of the rock and then kicked the sword a short distance behind him and positioned himself directly between it and the girl. He then stated, "Clay."

Suddenly, the already slaggy ground beneath the wakizashi began to suck the zanpaktou beneath the surface of the Earth. As she came for him, Satoru ran to meet her head on. He took up a stance and launched a quick, vicious right cross aimed for her kidney before attempting to follow it up with a palm-heel strike to her gut.

[ 203 / 794 ]

So basically
The sword hit him, but now Satoru is trying to sink the blade completely underneath the ground and remove it from play with the aid of Clay. Then he attempted to attack as a form of damage and distraction. For posterity's sake:

Clay - Bakudou #23, 200 Kidou

Description: The ground below the target grows soft, turning to mud. The mud crawls up the targets legs, binding them in place as if it were very thick glue. The mud continues to flow until it completely covers the legs (which takes one full round), it then keeps the target locked in place until they break free. Dispelling this bakudou will not withdraw the mud, it will only prevent it from climbing further.

Incantation: Noble stone, unmovable force. Bend to my will and aid me. Take this stray lamb back under guidance and bestow upon them all truths. Bakudou #23, Clay.

Also, Dys:
It's not Alexia who's fighting: it's vin's other character named Elena Ashida. Alexia is nowhere to be found in this thread unless vin decides to have her spectate.

A coy chuckle exited the old man’s voice as reached into his front pocket. Not even a flinch from his opening reassured him. After all, if a bunch of salt was capable of slowing the leader of the Death Gods, he would fear for the very world itself. He raised a tube to his face, the contents quickly being emptied over his eyes.

Seconds after the elder rotated his body rapidly, Lorelei pointed back towards the Soutaichou. He continued to step backwards, navigating the cliff-face surprisingly well for a man of his age. A golden bolt appeared in the bow once more, a barrage of cannon fire blasting out as a volley of attacks was launched. In the same instant, he pulled out another tube from his jacket pocket throwing it in time with the assault.

Two bolts sailed forward with staggering accuracy and speed, rapidly descending on his position. Ishmael threw the tube forward, before firing another shot from his bow. The arrow elongated into an arching crescent when fired, easily ripping through the descending tube and activating its contents.

An enormous plume of smoke expanded in an instant, as he disappeared into the thickening mist. The crescent arrow burst outwards, following the trajectory of the other two at a slower, but far more destructive, pace.

[889]

Three arrows are heading for Sayis. Two are standard shots, the third is the slower moving Halbmond that's going to be a bit delayed in it's hit. Elusiveness is still up.

Normal arrow damage: 1,500 Reiatsu
Crescent Moon: 2,300 Reiatsu

[Halbmond] - “Crescent Moon”

Quincy who have begun to understand the nature of their own power and how it affects the world around them will often times realize that reishi in and of itself is incredibly malleable -- capable of taking on many shapes and forms beyond that of a simple arrow. Though the finesse required to craft spiritual particles into more elaborate forms requires an incredible degree of skill, most Quincy are capable of molding their energies in very basic ways.

Halbmond allows the user to reshape an individual arrow after firing, forcing it to take on an elongated, crescent shape roughly one meter in length that deals slicing damage along its leading edge as opposed to piercing a target like a normal arrow. Though slower-moving than a standard arrow, these waves are capable of hitting multiple targets at once. Each use of this technique costs the user 800 Reiatsu and augments a single arrow, increasing its damage by the amount paid.

Jägerauge | Hunter’s Eye

Description: The first Gintou taught to most quincy children. By drawing the liquid within the gintou over their eyes, a quincy is able to enhance their vision, Giving them the ability to visually see any reiatsu sources within 30 meters. This ability works for 5 turns or until turned off.

Wolke | Cloud

Description: One of the most basic and widely used Gintou. After breaking the tube, Wolke causes the immediate area, within a 10m radius, to become filled with a thick fog of reishi which lasts for three turns.

"Deep abyss, grasp my enemies." Sayis' left hand gripped the sword at his side and with a sharp tug, tossed it free of its sheath and into the air, the glimmering metal spinning in the sunlight. The bright, silvery surface of the zanpakuto caught the reflection of the world around it, from Sayis himself to the young women at the side, even the elderly Quincy and the glowing golden bolts that shot through the air. The reflection of the final bolt, slower than the others, seemed to dominate the surface of the blade, overwhelming the other reflections with its brilliance...

Then Sayis hand snapped out, catching the falling sword by the hilt, underhanded. In that instant, the zanpakuto released, simultaneously revealing the Soutaichou's hidden reiatsu and amplifying it. Immediately, the [nobr]reflection of the crescent shot out of the blade[/nobr], passing right between the first two arrows.

"Hold fast and do not let them escape your cold embrace."

Reiatsu flooded down the blade in his left hand while the pseudo blade to his right side shot forward, cutting the air in a [nobr]dazzling and blindingly fast display[/nobr], shredding the first arrow. The second met the mirrored face of Karil, emitting a blinding flash before it [nobr]deflected harmlessly[/nobr] in another spray of wet sand.

The reflection of the bladed arrow collided with the original cross-ways, slicing right across the middle. The original split down the center while Kyoumen-kou's imitation dissipated. Sayis jogged forward, gritting his teeth as half of the split arrow sliced into one shoulder, throwing up a spray of blood.

"Lock them in your grip and draw them deep into your abyssal maw! [nobr]Bakudou eighty-five, Event Horizon[/nobr]!"

Sayis ran forward trying to close distance with Ishmael while a vortex of swirling energy took form below the Quincy.

The grin never left Kyu's face. If anything, she looked like she was about to start giggling when the clay began to ensnare her weapon. "Too early to be irritated, Yoomoo!" she remarked playfully, her left hand darting behind her back. The brunette kicked back with her right foot, tilting her left shoulder forward as her hand lashed out, gripping the sparkling mokume-gane blade of her favorite dagger.

Her eyes were locked on Satoru's as her body reacted smoothly, expertly, the blade of her ryo-shinogi intercepting the path of his kidney punch. When he jerked his hand away, Kyu suddenly stepped forward, thrusting with her right arm.

She was gripping the unsheathed blade of Nananen Ki, still trailing [nobr]silvery particles[/nobr] in its wake.

Beneath her shadowed hood, Rina's eyes widened and a broad grin spread across her face. "Waha, sprechen sie Deutsch?" she exclaimed gleefully. She let go of her zipper to clap her hands together excitedly. "Mein Gott! Du weißt nicht wie gut es nach meiner eigenen sprache zu hören ist!" The words spilled out, almost faster than her own native countrymen would have understood. Suddenly bubbly and cheerful, she threw her arms wide in a long-suffering pose. "Ich kann nicht einmal anfangen zu verstehen Japanisch und jeder spricht so schnell, und die Leute wollen nur zu kämpfen. Ich kann nicht einmal bei den Dämonen schreien, weil sie nicht verstehen!"

Suddenly, she paused and seemed to remember where she was. Slipping her hand into her hood, Rina rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly. "Oh! Mein name ist Ekaterina Walter!" Another pause and then she wagged her finger emphatically. "Uh, aber rufen sie mich einfach 'Rina,' bitte schön." Her voice lowered a bit. "Es ist, äh, weniger peinlich..." An embarrassed titter followed.

"Err ... gut ... ähm..." Shuffling uncomfortably, Rina threw one arm up in a dramatic wave. "Hallo!"

The sudden outburst of speech was a surprise, the girl had seemed so quiet. Soon enough though she collected herself, giving the agent a wave to say hello. Elena found it odd that Rina had taken issue with the fighting so far. Did she realize she was in a tournament? She presumed the other possibility was that every other opponent had just fought without even talking. How dreary.

“Its nice to meet you Rina,” Elena said, keeping the language fluent.

She flexed her arms and legs to prepare, and then planted her feet on the ground. Kicking off, she ran forward, immediately seeking to close the gap as she attempted the oh so basic ‘clothesline’.

The heavy weight of the distorted gravity began to pull his body towards the center. The force felt blunt, the tightening grip of the fundamental force drawing him towards the nexus of the spell. However, without even a moment of hesitation, Ishmael rotated his body to face the oncoming spiritual signature of the Captain-Commander.

A net of spiritual energy seemed to be formed from his position, expanding outwards like a spider’s web. He reached into his pocket, grabbing two tubes but leaving them inactivated for the time being. A secondary barrage of arrows was launched from the cloud. He blasted back another bolt of chaotic energy, the unstable energy flying forward. Like the first, even the slightest attempt to impede it’s flight would break apart the already fragile bonds.

Two arrows quickly followed suit, one following directly in the first’s wake. The arrow seemed to hum with a deep buzz, energy constructed to flow in a specific direction. The second appeared to be a complete miss, flying at an angle far Sayis. However, after a fraction of a second it bent, a wide arc created to loop the arrow towards the man’s right flank.

In the cloud he remained prepared for the death god’s oncoming assault, breaking the seal on the two tubes in preparation.

[ Schärfe ]- “Focus”
As their mastery over spirit particles increases, Quincy of sufficient skill are capable of exerting a degree of control on the reishi composing arrows they’ve already fired, allowing them to alter its trajectory and ensure a hit. By paying 200 Reiatsu, the user may bend the path of a fired arrow by up to 45 degrees. This technique can only be used one time on any individual arrow within 30 meters of the user, and cannot be applied to arrows augmented by other techniques.

[ Adlerauge ] - "Eagle’s Eye"
Adlerauge is a two-stage attack that maximizes an archer's impact. The Quincy begins by imbuing an arrow with a special positive charge. This charge is left behind at the point of impact, whether it hits its intended target or not.

The following round or after, the user may fire a second, negatively charged arrow. This one will home in on the original mark, striking without error if unimpeded.

Adlerauge costs 1,250 reiatsu for each individual shot. A mark will remain until struck, or for three rounds. The user may release it at will if needed.

Arrow stuff:
Belligerency Arrow: 1500
Eagle Eye Arrow: 1500 (2750 if the reiatsu cost is added in?)
Focus Arrow: 1500

Damn she's skilled!

The brightly colored knife bit into his hand before he could completely pull away. The gash across his knuckles was shallow, but that didn't stop the sting of it as the air rushed past the cut. He tried to twist out of the jab's way, but he was not completely successful. She cut clean through his robes and left a gash on his side. Satoru did not anticipate an ability to resummon one's zanpaktou... and on an Arcane Specialist no less! The irritation he was feeling at himself slowly swirled away inside, reflected by the growing storm within his eyes.

He launched into a backwards flash step, putting several meters between himself and Kyuto. He knew he was taking a risk by using kidou against an Arcane Specialist, but he had done more foolish things in the past. To cover his retreat, he quickly incanted.

"Cast yourself upon the sacrificial altar. Three sinners rise and pray to an indifferent universe. Hadou No Niju, Cosmos Summit!"

With that, three pillars of reiryoku-infused earth and salt forced their way from under the ground towards her, seeking to slam into her back and sides. As she dealt with the pillars, Satoru was already forming a plan.

"Warte-!" Rina started to cry out as she fell backwards, falling on her butt in the slushy salt, Elena's arm barely missing. "Eww!" The girl kicked backward and away, turning the stumble into a proper tumble as she rolled back to her feet, wet clumps of salt flinging up into the air. Grimacing, Rina shook out her wrist, slinging even more of the white gunk around.

She reached up to clutch her cross, but then awkwardly dashed forward toward Elena, aiming to duck under the woman's arm again as the air around her [nobr]briefly flickered[/nobr].

__

"Urk!"

Caught off-guard, Kyu took a grainy pillar right in the gut, blasting the wind from her lungs. Quickly realizing the position she was in, though, Kyu yanked her legs off the ground before the other pillars slammed into her. She rolled awkwardly off the pillar, landing with a wet plop in the loose salt before getting back up to her feet.

Burning agony lit up in her side as the sodium-rich liquid seeped through to the gash there. "Oh gawd, salt in wounds, salt in wounds..!"

Gritting her teeth, the brunette locked eyes with Satoru again. "Sorry, sorry, level two! Kishikaisei, [nobr]Nananen Ki[/nobr]!" Kyu's form disappeared in a flash of light, and then she was barreling forward, her black and white color scheme replaced by vivid red and bright tan, the new clothes pristine -- and free of clinging salt.

Three swords landed in the ground behind her, a large, four-sword shuriken clutched in one hand. The dagger? It was flying through the air at Satoru's afro.

"Mine's bigger," Sayis laughed, still surrounded by obscuring mist. It was rapidly gathering toward the gravity well, but not rapidly enough. For what was about to happen next, he didn't need to see, though.

Electrically charged reiryoku gathered in the Soutaichou's arm, building up in an instant to near-explosive levels. Even before the [nobr]raw power[/nobr] was unleashed, it trivialized the Quincy's barrage. Still clutching his zanpakuto, Sayis held his fist out. The portentous words rolling from his lips carried a ring of finality: Ishmael's death knell.

"[nobr]Hiryuugekizokushintenraihou![/nobr]"

The all-consuming beam of cobalt lightning shook the heavens themselves, splitting the sky open with a roar and the pervasive scent of ozone. Mist was burnt away, arrows were swallowed up, and the entire hillside was engulfed in the deadly cannon, with the Event Horizon, and Ishmael, dead center of his aim.

Elena reached down, looking to catch the girl by the hood she was wearing, but her fingers touched nothing. Looking around for her opponent, she witnessed as a massive lightning bolt shot across the battlefield.

“And they said gods didn’t exist. Thankfully I didn’t get paired up with that guy, whoever he is,” she murmured. If the shinigami were that strong, Cerberus would certainly have problems with them if they weren't careful. Maybe she’d look into this one whenever this fight ended, this Sayis Inuzuri.

“Tell me you don’t have anything like that up your sleeve,” the agent called out, hoping the Quincy would answer.

[621]

Ishmael’s eyes widened with awe as Sayis Inuzuri created the cataclysmic force of the hadou with a single word. To be able to wield a torrential energy like that with ease, it was simply... terrifying. However, though a mix of fear and shock welled up within him, it was not immediately visible in the rest of his expression.

He lifted his bow so that it pointed towards the oncoming attack. In a swift motion he reached into his pocket, pulling out what appeared to be an archaic, golden gintou tube. He flicked off the cap, a spark appearing as if he was lighting a match. From within a raging conflagration of spirit particles erupted outwards. It emanated a sound similar to a blowtorch; however, instead of flames it was raw spirit particles. It was the precursor of the Seele Schneider: the unrestrained Seele Henker.

At the same moment, the very Earth seemed to decay around him. He grunted with exertion as he began to draw forth spirit particles at an astounding pace. Instead of being collected in his body, they instead dissipated from thin air. Not even the power of the eighty-eight hadou was exempt. As it surged forward, it seemed to be rapidly stripped down, a majority of its strength sapped away and dispersed.

Unable to move from the power of the localized gravity well, Ishmael had no other option than to meet the attack head on. Bracing for a moment, he loaded the ancient weapon, pointing it at the dead center of the oncoming attack. With a brilliant burst of gold, the arrow was loosed.

Flying forward, it pierced through the oncoming assault, the rotating spirit particles absorbing even more of its strength while empowering itself. It flew with near perfect accuracy towards the source. However, while the arrow did puncture through, it did nothing to prepare him for the remainder of the assault.

Waves of electrical energy surged through his body, blasting him backwards and even overwhelming the strength of the gravity well. His body surged with pain, fragile human body struggling to even make it through. With a sickening crack his back slammed against the ground, as he coughed up globs of crimson blood. His breath was staggered, struggling to withstand the after-effects. His head remained tilted up, still focused on the outcome of his shot.

- 3000 from Shuuhaku to use Debelliato
- 1500 from Shuuhaku to fire Seele arrow

Hiyruugekizokushintenraihou was weakened by the 3K. After that he fired the Seele before getting wtfblasted by the remainder. Just assumed that it could pierce through since it has more rei but not like cancel it because of the area of the Seele vs the area of the Hiryuu. That aside, it's packing a punch since it absorbed 575 from Hiryuu on contact. Though Ish is pretty broked now.

Seele Shot: 1500 + 2000 + 575 = 4075

Seele Henker - “Soul Executioner”

Appearance:

A relic from the lost Quincy past, Seele Henker appears to be an oversized, prototype Seele Schneider. It takes the form of an archaic gintou tube, a rounded, circular base that appears to be 50 cm in size. When activated, the contained reiatsu erupts outwards violently, creating a ‘blade’ 100 cm in length, a total length of 1.5 meters.

Much less refined than the modern day version, reiatsu flickers outwards like a hungry flame, increasing in strength and ferocity as it absorbs more reiatsu. It functions identically to a Seele Schneider, powerful micro-vibrations rending spirit particles and absorbing them. When fired as it appears like an enormous bolt, a potent siege weapon in its own right.

Abilities:
Modern day Seele Schneiders are considered to be refined versions of the original Seele Henker. While their appearance is much more elegant than the relic's, their destructive potential was restrained in order to protect the users. The Seele Henker has no such cap, allowing only the most skilled Quincy to wield it without self harm.

When striking barriers, constructs, or reiatsu-based attacks, Seele Henker absorbs 10% of the cost. It can continuously absorb reiatsu up to a stored 2,000 reiatsu. The Seele Henker can remain active for four turns, at which point it automatically seals itself.

Staying true to it’s identity as a ranged weapon, it can be fired carrying a devastating strength of a normal shot + 2,000 reiatsu + the stored reiatsu. Once fired, it must be manually retrieved.

Debelliato
Type: U

An avid subscriber to the doctrine of total war, Ishmael Seerauber believes in the absolute and unquestioning destruction of what he deems to be his enemy. Debelliato is this ideal given form. The simple creation of a shuhaku pool extrapolated to near insane levels, when activated Ishmael rapidly begins to breakdown and absorb spirit particles in the area around him. However, he had refined it to the point that forces binding together physical objects are utterly broken down in an instant. The 15 meter diameter around him is immediately devastated, reduced to a barren wasteland.

It is capable of degrading even attacks and barriers created by his opponent, breaking them down. Debelliato can eliminate them if they cost less than the amount paid in, strongest abilities subtracted first, up to the cost. For those who find themselves unlucky enough to be caught in the effect, they are instantly exhausted, their body quickly forced to divert the energy to protect themselves from the drain. This ability cannot break apart objects such as zanpaktou and bloodstone. Ishmael can use Debelliato once, gaining an additional use for every 10,000 reiatsu he possesses. Debelliato costs 10% of his reiatsu, payable from his shuuhaku pool, per use.
