“Wa-“ He disappeared?! What the hell was she supposed to do with that? And, before she knew it, she was hauled up onto his shoulders. She uttered a random exclamation that might have sounded something roughly like “Kieh?” and flailed a bit, but generally was too confused and surprised to do anything but resign herself to this fate.
He was talking, and it made a bit of sense to her, but not a whole lot. Still, she was alive, and scared witless both by the person carrying her and the person who put her here. There really was no winning.
“All right, Founder,” Annika said with a huff, her tail smacking his back just to irritate him once before completely giving in to what was happening to her, “I’m Annika. And I’m a human. A living one, thank you. And just because you’re carrying me away doesn’t mean that this is over, at all. Got that?”
She was simply terrible at being intimidating. Simply horrid.
