Also Known As
: LaSalle Lilium (The LaSalle Lily), The Sword of Faith

Formerly: Unseated of the Eighth Division (Enchanted Blades)

Age: 163 years of age

Physical Stature: Echo is shorter than your average shinigami and quite lean, about 5'2 or 5'3 in height. Her hair falls to about the middle of her back in golden-blond locks and bangs frame her delicate face despite being carefully tossed. Two tails of hair flow down her front to around her chest, which is not particularly immodest in its magnitude. Her eyes are the bright and lively blue that so few eyes have and seem to capture the sky in their glistening orbs. Her features are soft and very feminine, quite delicate. She honestly looks like she would be too fragile to make a decent soldier, but the lean and agile body is more tough than it appears.

Her pale skin is pristine, unmarked by blemishes, scars, tattoos or anything of the like. She certainly looks like a noble, and definitely looks like a LaSalle. She often dresses somewhat austere despite her considerable resources as a sign of solidarity with all other shinigami, but on occasion she wears symbols of her status; earrings, bracelets, necklaces, even slight alterations to her shihakushou. She has several variants on her uniform; shihakushou with doctor's coats, sleeveless, and so on. When off-duty, she also often dresses rather sharply, sometimes in feminine variants of men's suits and so on.

Persona: She always was a champion of the citizens a person who sought to aide the people of Rukongai. She was magnanimous and inspired a lot of the good will people felt toward the LaSalle family. She also was well known for the kind words she had for people; so often she helped inspire people to believe in themselves. This was the kindness of Echo LaSalle, cloaked in hope that was sometimes too false and idealism that was often hopeless. This almost naive desire for the world to be generally good and her interest in other women earned her the nickname "The LaSalle Lily".

But she isn't all naivety and sunshine, Echo has a fierce loyalty and determination to better her family. When Maria and Augustus cost the LaSalles popular support in Seireitei, the young Lily knew what her new goal had to be. The loyalty also applies to her brothers and sisters in arms in the Gotei; often she will be somewhat reckless in her protection of her comrades. She's not the most perceptive and sometimes prefers the world she believes in to the world as it is, but will always follow her family and the Gotei. She tries to apologize for Maria and Augustus' behavior, though makes it clear she, and the rest of the family, disapprove of what they did.

She recently, due to the deaths of so many of her family members, had some major personality changes. She became uneasy and paranoid around strangers, and had to learn more about the politics of nobility because of her sudden ascent to an heir to the LaSalle title. Though she tries to downplay how traumatic losing Septimus, Augustus and Maria were to her, and the paranoia losing so many of her relatives so quickly has inspired she largely fails to hide these effects on her behavior. It left her wandering from division to division, only finding comfort in the ability to heal, a choice largely inspired by the losses she suffered.

Techniques
General

Gigaihyou [Righteous Corpse Possession]
An important survival skill taught to all Shinigami, which entails the utilization, maintenance, and protocols concerning Gigai. This also includes the usage of all developed tools that accompany the use of a Gigai, such as the Gikongan.
Requirements: None

Konsou [Soul Burial]
One of the Shinigami's inherent skills. Konsou entails the liberation of a Plus soul by stamping the kashira of the Zanpakutou upon his/her/its forehead, whereby the said Plus soul will be safely transported to Soul Society.
Requirements: None

Reiatsu Noukan [Spiritual Pressure Perception]
The heightened ability of a Shinigami to sense Reiatsu. Its potency and maximum range grows as the user's Shinigami level rises, and may become advanced enough that he or she may be able to single out the signature of a single entity within range. A target may choose to mask their signature, making their exact location difficult to ascertain. However, the presence of a strong fighter in combat is unmistakable.
The user may only precisely identify targets up to a range determined by their Kidou stat. Until that point, the tracking merely gives a general area.
Requirements:
Class E : 1 km / 500 Reiatsu / 1,000 Kidou
Class D : 2 km / 1,000 Reiatsu / 2,000 Kidou
Class C : 4 km / 2,000 Reiatsu / 4,000 Kidou
Class B : 6 km / 3,000 Reiatsu / 6,000 Kidou
Class A : 8 km / 4,000 Reiatsu / 8,000 Kidou
Class S : 10 km / 5,000 Reiatsu / 10,000 Kidou

Reiraku Takan [Spiritual Thread, Deep Perception]
A special sensory skill reserved only for Shinigami whose capabilities have matured markedly. Reiraku Takan allows the Shinigami to deeply focus upon the spiritual signatures of all surrounding entities within a certain area and manually compress them all into different-colored "threads." The maximum range of this ability is the same as the Shinigami's highest Reiatsu Noukan range. This technique only identifies race, unless the target is within Reiatsu Noukan's range for precision.
Colors are as follows:
White : Normal soul, Plus soul, Quincy
Red : Shinigami, Unmasked Vizard
Black : Hollow
Dark Red : Arrancar, Masked Vizard
Requirements: 3,000 reiatsu

Chikaihou Shinou [Earthly Law Mastership]
Being dead is far different than living, as anyone in Soul Society can attest to, and one can sometimes bypass the physical laws of movement that one is normally accustomed to. True understanding as to what one can and cannot get away with is gained through experience.
This technique allows the user to condense reiatsu around their body or under their feet in the living world. This enables the user to slow their falls, extend their jumps, or even to stand in the open air. Shunpo cannot be used mid-air.
Requirements: 2,000 Reiatsu

Reiki [Spiritual Healing]
The most basic form of healing available to Shinigami. This technique is simply a method of flooding injuries with Reiatsu directed through the hands, stimulating the regeneration and repair of damaged tissue. While it is quite effective for small scratches and cuts, healing more serious wounds in this manner is extremely draining and time consuming. Cannot be used in battle and is mainly used to stabilize wounds until more serious healing can be applied.
Requirements: 1,000 Reiatsu

Fuubi [Overpower]
When a shinigami is restrained or bound and has been left with no other alternative, they can try to force their way out through sheer strength and raw reiatsu. This is dangerous for the user's soul, particularly against the demon arts. Such an effort requires at least 1.5x the cost of the restraint and causes severe pain to the user.
Requirements: 1,000 Reiatsu
Zanjutsu

Ittouryoudan [Cutting In Two With One Stroke]
A skilled swordsman holds no fear in the face of his enemy's attacks and may stand his ground against them. In this way, the swordsman can channel his spirit into his sword and slice straight through flames, water, or even raw energy. This splits the attack around the user.
Only possible against attacks up to twice the cost of Ittouryoudan, this technique costs 250 reiatsu to use.
Requirements: 1,000 Zanjutsu

Ijou Ittouryoudan [Exceeding Cutting In Two With One Stroke]
With greater mastery comes greater prowess. These Zanjutsu specialists are able to bring their true skill to bear when facing off against their enemies' attacks. Rather than merely splitting an attack, the user delivers a series of rapid attacks that utterly destroy the enemy's attack.
Usable against techniques and abilities up to twice the cost of Ijou Ittouryoudan, this technique costs 750 reiatsu to use.
Requirements: 3,000 Zanjutsu

Buzei [Outnumbered]
...but not out-manned. A difficult and risky maneuver, the practitioner accelerates their swing in order to deliver an attack on all sides. This allows the user to attack or defend against all attackers within range at half of their usual skill.
This maneuver costs 2,000 reiatsu and may leave the user tired, unable to perform similar techniques for two rounds.
Requirements: 5,000 Zanjutsu
Hakuda

NONE
Hohou

Shunpo [Flash Step]
A commonly taught skill for the Shinigami. Though it may be learned at an early level, mastering the technique is another story entirely. The initial level of shunpo is a burst of speed in a single, straight direction. As the user's skill in Hohou grows, they may learn more advanced techniques and maneuvers.
A basic flash-step costs 200 reiatsu, and can cover up to 15m. The user bursts in one direction at near-blinding speed, but is unable to attack or turn. The speed of the step is determined by the user's Hohou, and only those with at least 50% of the user's Hohou can visually keep up with the movement. If the user's hohou is comparable to an enemy's attacking stat, then they stand a good chance of being able to dodge with a shunpo.
Flash-steps are only usable once per turn, with an additional use per turn gained for every 5,000 Hohou.
Requirements: 1,000 Hohou

Shunpo Senmon [Flash Step Expertise]
The practitioner has grown familiar with the rush of motion and has learned how to maneuver during it. The user cannot reverse their direction, but they have some control over turning and positioning themselves strategically, though their turns cannot be greater than 60 degrees.
Requirements: 2,500 Hohou
Kidou

Eishouhaki [Revocation of the Recited Poem]
Allows the user to bypass of the chanting of a Kidou spell and simply state the name. However, this also results in a drop in the efficacy of the bypassed Kidou. A user can only bypass an incantation if their Kidou stat is at least twice the required cost of a spell, and a bypassed spell will only be half as effective as a properly-incanted one, regardless of prowess.
Requirements: 1,000 Kidou

Eishou Tekkin [Incantation Reinforcement]
By mentally reaffirming an incantation, the user of this technique can reinforce binding spells. The user may pay additional reiatsu to counter the natural weakening of a binding effect. This can only be applied to one binding per round, and only restores one round's loss.
This does not count against the user's kidou for that round.
Requirements: 2,000 Kidou

Jumon Kaiki [Spell Totality]
Through devoted study, a shinigami can gain greater control over a spell. This allows them to bypass the incantation with greater success.
By equipping a spell twice, it's bypassed effectiveness increases by 25%. Spells may be equipped up to three times, but cannot exceed 100% bypassed.
Requirements: 3,000 Kidou
Team

Touitsu Sensen [United Front]
In battle, two characters who have spent much time with one another can complement one another's fighting style. They are able to fight better in tandem than alone, receiving a boost to all stats when attacking (except Reiatsu and Connection). When fighting near each other, skilled allies can easily swap positions to better press their advantage. Such a Bait and Switch will allow the users to instantly change places with a partner within ten feet, once per round. Uses are limited by the pairs, not individuals

.... Mastered with Kamenashi Yuurei: +10% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (5/day).
.... Mastered with Uchiharu Haresuno: +10% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (5/day).
.... Level 8 with Hokonaguchi Mitsuhito. +6% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (2/day).
.... Level 6 with Tabawara Udo: +7% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (3/day).
.... Level 5 with Lilith Maikeru: +7% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (2/day).
.... Level 4 with Takimoto Kago. +6% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (2/day).
.... Level 2 with Inuzuri Sayis. +5% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (1/day).
.... Level 2 with Nana Amaterasu. +5% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (1/day).
.... Level 2 with Lucas Morrison: +5% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (0/day).
.... Level 1 with Raury Feybrand: +5% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (0/day).
.... Level 1 with Yoshinaga Gorou: +5% Offensive Combat Stats, Bait and Switch (0/day).

Touitsu Kousen [United Resistance]
Allies that have faced many hardships together often gain a higher bond. Through such a connection, comrades are able to face the brunt of duress and adversity with a heightened degree of tolerance. United Resistance, a sister technique to United Front, culminates this aspect of bonds into an inherent defensive mechanism. This tech allows characters that have reached a special bond to more effectively defend themselves and one another.
Those with a strong enough bond will gain the ability to perform an Empathic Block once per round. When one member is attacked, the other can instantly jump in to take the hit for them. Uses are limited by the pairs, not individuals.

.... Level 2 with Kamenashi Yuurei: +5% Defensive Combat Stats, Empathic Block (1/day).
Division

Kenkyouka [Sword Empowerment]
Utilizing their own kidou energy, the practitioner has the ability to cast a kidou spell onto their blade. Once the blade comes in contact with the opponent, the spell will automatically activate. Whatever damage or effects are done by sword and spell, will be unleashed on to the opponent. With continuous use of the technique, the caster will gain the ability to have two spells imprinted on their blade at one time, once the user gains 5k kidou or zanjutsu stat.

Chiyudo [The Way of Healing]
Since very few shinigami exhibit the ability to heal, they are jealously horded and transferred to the 4th division for training in the ways of healing. Over time, a set of teachable kidou spells has been created in order to teach healers how to focus their power to heal instead of destroy. These specialized spells, Chiyudo (Way of Healing), are taught only to members of the division. Only by training with a seated officer may a new recruit be taught the initial stages of chiyudo usage. This is the first tech that every member of the division will learn.
As the healers of Seireitei, only members of the 4th Division learn how to utilize Chiyudo (way of healing). As such, these are division-only kidou for use in healing matters.

Items
Division

Dharma
Chiyudou by nature is a nurturing art. Capable of restoring immense amounts of reiatsu, this surplus of energy causes the entirety of the Fourth Division to be saturated with high levels of reishi. This has drastically affected the ecosystem of The Avatamsaka, causing the unrestrained growth of the hundreds of types of vegetation. The plants in the gardens are saturated with reiatsu, and medicine created from these plants is especially potent at removing fatigue.
Taking the form of three white pills, ingesting Dharma automatically allows the person to restore a threshold of their choice by 1000 reiatsu. The set of three pills are automatically refilled every week, outside special circumstances.

Materialize, Fidelacchius
FIDELACCHIUS
THE SWORD OF FAITH

Sealed Form
The sealed form of Fidelacchius (Fi-de-Lock-E-ohs) is a rapier, a light but longer blade more for thrusting than slicing and of a decidedly European style compared to the normal Japanese weaponry carried by Gotei soldiers.

Shikai Form
The appearance of the rapier wielded by Echo LaSalle changes only slightly when released into shikai, but the change is noticable. The blade, normally a proud steel, becomes transparent and almost crystalline in appearance. If it catches the light it shimmers and can leave rainbows in its arc.

De Anima Hortorum
Echo's inner world shifts and changes dramatically, but usually takes the form of a clearing in a forest. The clearing is full of flowers, but the exact arrangement and composition of the flower fields seems inconsistent each time she travels to her inner world. The deaths of many members of her family have caused heavy dark clouds to constantly hang over the forest clearing. Fidelacchius calls the inner world 'the Soul Gardens'.

Fidelacchius, the Sword of Faith
Since she is a master of illusions and belief, Fidelacchius rarely appears as herself - sometimes she appears as a Pegasus other times she appears as a dove, but she always seems silvery in appearance, like her form is always reflecting the light the way a sword would. Her true form is that of a woman seemingly made of mercury; her quicksilver form able to morph as needed into other things. She speaks quite softly, as if all her words are merely suggestions Echo chooses to believe are truly being said.

The woman herself is subtle and graceful in whatever form she chooses to appear in. Rather than be enigmatic, Fide would prefer to not answer at all, or find another matter to occupy Echo's attention. Fide wants Echo to believe in her, because this belief is the core of her powers, much as Echo wants people to believe in her vision of the LaSalle family and the good they do. Fide is the manifestation of this desire, this hunger to have the faith of others. But she is also quite reserved, and serene; qualities Echo aspires to but falls sadly short of.

Shikai Abilities
Fides Traversa (Misguided Belief)
The strength in Fidelacchius comes from the simple notion that faith is a powerful force. Fides Traversa uses the power of faith against the unwise. Fidelacchius’ illusions would be meaningless without the power of the mind of their victims, so each turn that a person can see Echo or Fidelacchius, their belief in the reality of the illusions grows slowly but steadily. After a long enough time even a skeptic would begin to find faith in the images Fidelacchius creates. To maintain this effect, Echo must pay 1% of her reiatsu per round. If she elects not to, no new faith is added but the current level of belief persists until Fidelacchius is sealed.

Tantibus Vigilesque (Waking Nightmare)
In order to inspire faith, Fidelacchius needs to first give someone something to believe in. Tantabis Vigilesque allows Echo to weave an illusion from her mind; anything from a meteor falling from the sky to the effects of a kidou to another warrior, and project them into the world. The stronger belief someone has that these projections are real, the more damage the projections can do. Echo cannot maintain more than three active projections and each costs 3% of her reiatsu to make. At complete belief that her illusions are real, the maximum power her illusions exert cannot exceed her investment in those illusions.

Fictus Alae (Fake Wings)

As an Enchanted Blade, Echo LaSalle was an avenging angel, as a healer she is an angel of mercy. As the master of Fidelacchius, Echo is an angel of judgment. Fictus Alae allows Echo the ability to use her faith in Fidelacchius to augment her abilities. At the cost of 500 reiatsu and one use of shunpo, Echo can grant herself illusory wings, and launch herself into the air. If she is given reason to doubt her wings, she immediately falls. She can only remain airborne until her next turn and must launch herself directly up from her current position. She may change her course mid-flight, unlike with a normal shunpo.

LaSalles
Ioesephus

Ioesephus LaSalle
LaSalle Family, Echo's Elder Brother

Introduced:
Believe (mentioned)

Age: 292

Appearance: Ioesephus tends to dress in the suits worn by Earthen businessmen, custom tailored and very fashionable. His blue, bespectacled eyes and short blond hair indicate his place in the LaSalle line of succession, and his professional demeanor manner of presenting himself indicates this place is high. Everything about him spares no expense, and nothing about him is ever humble.

Persona: Resentful that the deaths of Septimus, Maria and Augustus didn't leave him higher in the chain of succession, Ioesephus strives to be the most deserved of the heirs to Gaius LaSalle, if not the most direct. His personality has, in the past two years, become one of the manager, the person who keeps affairs in order and operates the things that need operation in an effort to prove his worth to Gaius. He has little affection for others, and a utilitarian outlook on Soul Society as a whole.

Race: Soul

Biography: He had always been gifted with the affairs of the LaSalle family, leaving Echo, Aqua, Augustus and Maria to handle concerns like charity he had no patience for. The death of several of the family's leaders wasn't mourned by Ioespehus, but seen as an opportunity to craft and pursue higher ambitions of his own in the games of noble politics. He, in many ways, uses and manipulates Echo more than their father Gaius who the Lilium has the sense to be wary of. The fact that she has not developed this good sense about her brother is considered, by him, a decided advantage.
Aqua

Verity "Aqua" LaSalle
LaSalle Family, Echo's Adoptive Cousin

Introduced:
Get Well Soon

Age: 156

Appearance: Verity is an adopted LaSalle, with long hair the color of the sky and eyes like pools of midnight. The deep sapphire tones of he eyes and the radiant blue of her hair earned her the nickname "Aqua", in keeping with the LaSalle Latin name scheme. Though not a Lasalle by birth, Verity's pale delicate features closely resemble her adoptive brothers and sisters, and her love of fine dresses and fabrics expresses the noble wealth of the LaSalle family. If only she were blond.

Persona: Being adopted into the LaSalle family, Verity almost never questions the actions of another LaSalle, she even was accepting of Maria and Augustus' duplicity and helped protect them when they escaped. Verity's unflinching loyalty, especially to the Lord and Heirs, also is a strength as it makes her remarkably trustworthy, if morally dubious. She combats a horrible inferiority complex.

Race: Soul

Biography: Brought in to the LaSalle family shortly after her death, she has always been deferential to the family's needs and concerns above her own, though she regularly worked with Echo on her philanthropic trips, she had spent almost as much time with Gaius and Septimus tending to the family's more serious and ethically questionable affairs. Though she never assisted with the Sine Qua Non, she was ultimately supportive of their efforts if only because they were a popular uprising guided by the LaSalle family. She has expended great effort to keep the idealistic Echo insulated from the more unsavory affairs of the family.
Casina

Casina Fiona Konoe-LaSalle (Konoe Febrii)
LaSalle Family, Echo's Niece

Introduced:
Believe (mentioned)

Age: 35

Appearance: A young soul of a young girl, Casina appears to be about six years of age. She dresses in frills, she has beautiful blond hair despite being adopted. Her green eyes make it apparent she is not native to the family of Aryan souls. She wears her hair almost to the floor and typically is carrying candy of some sort.

Persona: Idealistic and hopeful to a fault despite crippling shyness, Casina seems to radiate hope. Unfortuinately, she had issues opening up to people, after her adoption by one noble house after another left her with abandonment issues. The fact that Ioesephus is her ;father; compounds this problem greatly. The only person she really is open with is Echo, with some trust of Gaius and Aqua allowing her to actually function in the LaSalle family.

Race: Soul

Biography: Since appearing in Rukongai, Casina has been a tool of the nobility, used to establish weak alliances and barter between House Konoe and the more powerful House LaSalle. She was 'obtained as an asset' by Ioesephus, who proved incapable as a parent and she soon was raised by Aqua instead, with occasional intervention from Gaius. Though ostensibly Ioesephus' daughter, Casina has rarely felt like it, and has little trust for the man who claims to be her adoptive father.
