I really liked this. There were small things that could be fixed, like a case of redundancy with 'her palm' and at one point, 'win' instead of 'in.' However, the little details are forgotten in the moment. Your imagery here is strong, portraying the heat of the forge and the sweat of Nana's effort and rigid concentration... in contrast to Taiyou's hesitance and quiet frustration
