HD application helper: HD needs you!

Hi. I'm infamous RP'er Van and dastardly captain Theron. But in real life, I know how to program a bit. As such, I volunteered to help streamline the application process here at HD with a sort of app (I may actually make it an app for the smartphone world, but not to start).

But, alas, one thing I cannot do well is digital art. I suck at it, to be frank.

So, in the process of developing this information resource and standardization tool for creating character applications(this may expand into things like automated grading and such, if all goes well) I found I need some things to make my work pretty.

I can use things like the division banners from Will's contest, small tags, etc. But there are some gaps.

What I need, in order of importance. (note: higher res the better, sadly)

1. A HD banner / logo. Something to pop up at the user when the app is launched, what the app's icon will look like, and just a general badass banner for HD.

2 Backgrounds: things I can use as backgrounds for the various sections of the app.

Div information, application development, character browser come to mind to start.

Any other tidbits you think of on your own, too, would be greatly appreciated!

Just as a note, Sing had made a banner of sorts for HD. I kind of like the design behind it, but would rather have something with an actual HD char, if any. If nothing else, it's something to start from:

Anyway, Van do you have a layout sketch of what you'd like the app to look like as well as thoughts on a color scheme? All that would make it easier to design unobtrusive backgrounds and buttons and things.

Also, do you have a preset size. If you can make the image at the size needed originally it'll probably come out better than if you had to shrink it
