For those that know me, hi. For those that don't, hi. I am in seasonal layoffs time at work so I'm thinking about finally reapplying to HD. I don't have aim anymore to jump into chat and ask dumb questions there so I'm wondering (i know if i spent another 15 mins looking around I'd prolly find it for myself) but i'm wondering how to find out which races, factions, what have you are open for application right now.
In short: every division is open, and only Vizards have a prerequisite. That said, not all divisions have a player character captain, but they are open.
I'm not sure how it would work with the system in HD but I had this idea for an advent human who's combat ability would be to select an object from their surrounding environment and and infuse their own reitsu/whatever into it giving it "spiritual" heft just like a shini's reitsu is in their zanpakuto giving it strength. Of course that ability wouldn't be nearly as functional on the battle field as a shinnigami's blade with it's magical abilities, but it could be used for some really humorous weapon scenarios.
