Satoru watched the battle unfold as he accompanied the Mystic to a position a few feet away from Ishin, but Adelaide's tale in response to his scolding still echoed about in his head. The Captain of the Prisoners, destroying a tea shop? If he recalled correctly, Captains were always either on a mission or with their divisions. Why would Ishin have need of destroying a mere tea shop? But that wasn't all.
The last that he'd fought had two things that the new Hollow didn't: a name and an effect that messed with the humans. From what reports had made their way across his desk as a Fourth Seat, all of the previous Scions had some kind of ability to manipulate the non-spiritually empowered. This current Hollow, while fearsome, had none of that. And this was not what worried him most of all. As he observed the beast make its next move, the ever-pleasant tones of Eduard Khil began to run through his head via his headphones.
And now my very music is telling me that this is a trap? Everything just feels... off.
And with that, the Hollow began the slow process of splitting itself apart. The following spectacle sent Satoru's mind moving in different directions, sent his hands gripping the tanto even more tightly than before, and sent his heart racing against the clock. Ishin was the monster. They had to fight the Warden, one of Sereitei's most established warriors whose Captaincy predated even the Soutaichou.
Diapasao, if there were ever a time that I needed you, it would be now. Please... no tricks, no games, no clever inquiries, he began to plead at his sword spirit.
And why should I help you now? I will admit that you have made some progress since our last encounter, but you still have much to learn.
If you expect me to ever become a true High Inquisitive, then I have to survive this. I can't become anything if I'm dead, and neither can you!
A terrifying moment of silence ensued as his zanpaktou thought over his request.
Very well. I can't have you dying on me just yet, aliado. Just answer me this when you get a chance... What will you do with all of the information you take in? You don't have to answer me now, as you're in the middle of a battle, but if you ever expect to use me to my fullest potential, you may want to answer that soon.
"Emitir, Dipasao!" Satoru shouted out. Suddenly, his black spiritual pressure burst forth for all it was worth as it permeated the already heavy atmosphere. The tanto in his hand became the six foot long black staff with a tuning fork end as blue lines began to inscribe themselves upon its surface. Once again using Soshi to control the earth beneath their feet, Satoru brought both himself and the Medic back towards Adelaide upon platforms of rock. Upon his arrival, the Fourth Seat looked Adelaide up and down, appreciating the new changes brought by her Bankai.
"Rather flashy, isn't it? Darkly beautiful, but still a bit flashy," he noted with a sidelong glance at her before turning his attention to the Healer and saying, "You know, now would be a good time to release if you can. We're fighting a Captain-class opponent."
