Mystydjinn
[Insert rimshot]
A sharp ringing sounded in the pirate's ears as the dust from the resulting explosion swirled around him. He used his left hand to grip his weapon and planted the flat end of his long weapon into the ground to lift himself up with and looked up, to be rewarded with the sound of two gunshots. He stiffened, and glared to see the woman wielding a gun with a broken arm and scowled. She may be a lady but he'd bring her a hefty bit of pain at least before he he let her blow his newly met shipmates.
He rose himself up to full height, and crouched with his naginata held halfway down the shaft and tensed the muscles in his arm to throw the lithe blade at his adversary; It was that second however, that the very same arm's nerves exploded into a firestorm of pain.
"Argh!" he growled in pain as the bullet embedded itself in the wall behind him, and the grip on his blade weakened before he drew his other hand up to grip it before it fell. "Serpens damn you, vis forsaken wench..." His face turning into a wicked cross between a grin and a grimace as he drew up his other hand, covered with jingling bangles and curled it towards his shoulder before flicking it free.
"That was the hand I use for pleasin company." He growled as ropes sprung up from the ground upon his new but wounded adversary.
