Lost in the Angles
He didn't know if Amaya would or even could avoid the blast in the state she was in. The appearance of the Quincy coupled with the power of Zakeriah's Bankai had freed his mind but his fellow third seat, along with apparently everyone else, was completely enthralled by the sins the hollow was placing upon them. There was naught to do but take advantage of the situation as best he could before his kai broke. A flash step brought him to the beast's great belly where his great blade met with steel flesh that whined and sparked as the fine edge devoured an irregular swath along the hollow's body.
The brief draw of attention didn't last long and the Sin Eater quickly smaked the shinigami aside. Zak flew backwards but slammed his zanpakutou into a thick tree, showing chips and splinters over the ground but stopping his flight. "You know what your problem is? You got greedy and prideful." He said casually. He drew his blade from the tree with flourish shattering the remainder of the trunk even as the two phantom blows struck the hollow along it's opposing sides ripping their own paths along its flesh. "And now you're the one who will suffer for it."
He was relieved to see the his fellow Templar had managed to throw herself aside but his eyes remained fixed on the hollow. He had, at best, maybe a minute before his bankai would collapse and the hollow had just received its first wounds. It would not let that stand.
