With a long laborious sigh, Hisao Adachi sat in a Cerberus conference room debating just how badly this meeting was going to turn out. The months he had spent away from Tokyo working odd jobs for an employer raised little questions with the humans. However today was the day when they realized that the relic’s boss was not well loved among the living after his last stunt. That after so much time something else was being requested, and that all the leaders in the living world were called did not bode well.

Swallowing his fear Hisao pulled out a small cell phone and tossed it from hand to hand before dialing the number he needed. “Mr. Martelli I’m downstairs in a conference room, I need every being of consequence in the Tokyo matters in this room with me in no more than twenty minutes. No questions. I don’t have any answers, other than this will be big.”

If it was anyone else, the Chairman’s pride would cause him to refuse. The audacity to give an order to Ciro Martelli, the head of the most powerful corporation on Earth, would be baffling. However, it was always slightly different when Mister Adachi called him.

Why?

Because it always ended with bad news. Ciro turned his phone off as he stepped into the elevator built into his office room. His first call was the Shihara Zakki, the untested youth that he had made his second in command. The second call was to Masato Fujikawa, the only one in Orpheus he actually trusted to handle matters with supernatural beings. His third message was to Arano. He had no clue where the boy was, but part of him felt like he needed to call.

Ciro stepped out on the conference on the sixth floor of the immense skyscraper. It was the floor for private officials, only those who had the red-eyed man’s express permission to use. Opening to the conference room, he saw the elderly vizard sitting near the far window.

“It is unlike you to call me, Mister Adachi.”

[188]

"It is just as odd for me to receive a call from my other employer, one that requests every human leader be in attendance. Mr. Martelli, Ciro, nothing good can come from this announcement. Perhaps there will be enjoyment in it for us, something to react to our carnal desires. However I know the man who called us here, he is not one to bring together such an ensemble for a children's party. He has a grand show in mind, and I'm afraid that at this point we will have no choice but to play our parts. When he calls he has a habit of ensuring the deck is stacked in his favor." With a sigh the old man returned to looking out the window after making sure Tod and Shukumei were updated on the meeting. Not that their presence would change much.

Too many in one spot, too many not to have at least one.

The red ribbons were collecting, congregating in a centralized location. It wasn't much to go on, but it was the best bet Tsubaki had stumbled across since coming to Earth. Cold air lashed at her face and bare skin as the Templar Queen flew closer to the tower, but it was little more than a passing nuisance.

There, somewhere on that floor.

From outside the glass of the building, she could make out two men. One had just entered, but his face was unfamiliar to her. The other, as luck would have it had placed himself very near to the glass, and bore a face that the former Captain could place in memory.

He's one of the Vizards they brought before the Forty-Six. Bingo.

With a wan smile the diminutive woman tapped on the glass, looking in on the two surprised men with a pleasant expression. She was unsure if the words would penetrate the barrier, but it was worth a shot.

"May I come in?"

[179]

There was a sense of dread that enveloped the relic as the heavy weight of reiatsu threatened to choke him. When the woman showed herself the old man’s knuckles whitened around his staff. “Ciro, tell me why every captain in the Gotei Thirteen sees it fit to have tea with us?” Without waiting for an answer, Hisao sighed and waved the templar in.

[63/365]

"Former Captain, sir." The smile twinged momentarily, then returned to its polite composure as the woman slid the window shut behind her. "Right now I'm more interested in speaking to you, Vizard." Taking a seat opposite the wizened man, her eyes momentarily flicked to the other man in the room, then back to her initial target.

"Things have degraded severely in Soul Society, and there is a threat on the horizon that we cannot hope to stand against while divided." Her words were calm and matter of fact, a sign that they had been mulled over and polished hundreds of times over since the start of her 'working vacation.'

"However, we can discuss the details later in private." Leaning back in her chair, the Templar Queen looked idly about the room they now occupied. "So, what brings us all here today?"

"Trouble on the horizon, it seems." That had been the first words to echo past the mouth of Arano as he looked across at the black-haired woman. Mouko's short stay with Chimera had been brief but unsurprisingly harrowing, her eyes still haunted with the memories of Sapporo. He smiled briefly, placing a reassuring hand on her shoulder before stepping past her, readjusting his eye-patch momentarily before continuing. "Don't worry too much, Ciro likes to over dramatize things."

He hated eating his words. The unmistakeable energies of Hisao and Ciro were familiar enough, but a third seemed to offset the balance, a distinctive flair in its energy alerting him to a different manner of familiarity: a shinigami. He sighed, pulling his cloak tighter about him as his energy wreathed itself in shadows. His ears pricked, the faint sounds of the conversation flittering through his ears and he frowned.

His form warped, the shadow beneath it crawling and sliding itself between cracks and crevices as he felt it take hold of one of the darker corners of the room. Allowing a brief smirk across his face, he felt the pull of the shadows and let himself indulge it, his entire body sinking into the shadows beneath it before rising just as quickly in the room. His single eye took in the room briefly, an amused smile adorning his features.

"I wasn't aware we started doing group therapy sessions with shinigami. Are we onto circle time yet?" His eyes shifted curiously to Ciro, the Advent expecting any manner of reaction from outrage to shock.

"This is an odd party," a young woman's voice said. "Totally unnatural for these groups to be mingling together." She said nothing else as what information everyone knew could be different.

A girl with long green hair had just entered. The thick strands were kept from covering her face by heavy duty hair clips with a skull motif. Her large, green eyes looked around the room. They stopped briefly on Hisao and the Captain of the Eleventh. She was wearing a casual yet stylishly modern outfit that was meant for young people.

"This is just talking right?" the girl asked with a wry smile. This many differing parties around could be dangerous. "But don't mind me. I'm just listening in."

She walked in and bowed her head to Hisao, who had let her know of the situation.

"Long time no see Adachi-Tyrant. I hope everything is going well for you."

[150]

A genuine smile came across the old man’s face as Hotate entered the room, Hisao gave a slight nod to acknowledge her before turning to the other newcomer. “Arano if you would like to not die in a supernova not controlled by me, I’d suggest not annoying one of Soul Society’s strongest inhabitants.” The old man said with a sly smile. “As for your question Tsubaki, there’s a special message coming our way in a few moments. Considering who its from it might interest you as well. You’re welcome to stay on the condition you don’t touch this tower regardless of what the message is. Sound fair?” The relic said attempting to remain as polite as possible.

[117/466]

A shrug and a smile answered the man. "You haven't threatened me, I have no need to cause harm to this building or the people in it. I'm just here to see the best and brightest Earth has to defend itself." With a feinted grin and rise of her eyebrows, the woman turned her attention to the world outside the window, keeping the happy expression fixed despite the somber thought behind it.

And I'm really hoping this isn't all of them.

[81/401]

“Your ignorance to this matter surprises me Mister Adachi,” he said, “Usually you have quite a knowledge of the workings of your boss. It seems quite odd that he kept you out of the loop on this matter.” While his words would initially seem to be a harsh response, considering the nature of his and the elder’s personalities, it was mainly just a harmless comment.

His gaze turned to face Arano, completely ignoring the high ranking shinigami which entered. After the events of the Code Red incident, being visited by these so called captains was a routine thing for him. After being held at sword point, it would take much more than a few disapproving looks to bother him.

Ciro suppressed him emotions. Part of him was still fuming from their earlier meeting, but for some reason, he had found a bit of closure on the matter. He still disapproved of what the child was doing, but the fact that he still managed to come back to Cerberus made him feel slightly more at ease.

“Do not blame me for this one Arano,” said the red-eyed man with a sarcastic tone of voice, “Blame the people who were supposed to be keeping this secret conference room... secret.”

[201/389]

A razor-edged shadow paused in front of the conference room door for just a moment to marvel at the sheer variety and power of all the spiritual energy throbbing away on the other side. He recognized the energy signatures of Arano and Ciro immediately but the others were unfamiliar (but full of terrifying potential). Adjusting his tie and making sure all of the precise creases in his black Ozwald Boateng suit were neatly aligned Zakki Shihara strode into the conference room.

His androgynous face was a cold mask of utter emptiness as he flicked icy green eyes from face to face. His customary openness was deserted completely in favour of an unreadable void. Masking one's vulnerabilities and weaknesses was the sole means of survival in Cerberus Corporation. Now he took an empty seat next to the impassive Italian. As his gaze drifted to Arano it took all of his willpower not to flinch at the faded remains of his once youthful face but he resisted nonetheless. In a voice tinged with frost he spoke to Ciro Martelli.

"So I have been summoned it seems? What precisely is going on and who are these..individuals?"

There was just the barest hint of disdain in Zakki's voice. He deliberately kept himself aloof and cold. Not a single flicker penetrated his face and he sat looking defiantly around at this odd assortment of humans and Death Gods. Whatever happened he wouldn't crack.

Arano's own eye surveyed the scene with a passing interest, the prospect of working alongside two other spiritual beings turning over slowly in his head. Net benefits, risks, and other statistics blew through his mind with no real propensity of weight. The question of why they were here had already been given, but something else entirely caught the eye of the cyclopean youth.

Sitting like some demonic trophy, the emblazoned skull of the necklace adorned by the shinigami woman, Tsubaki, drew his attention immediately. It didn't take him long to connect the dots between Ilsa's own collar and Tsubaki's. Both were cursed, both were impaired. His eyes flicked to Ciro, the veiled disappointment in the Italian's eyes casting a shadow over the brown-haired Chairman's face.

The teen shook his head, the familiar buzzing sensation of Kairososhi filtering through his mind as he connected the circuit, then a startling clarity as his message trickled through the mental connection. Something's been happening to them. She bears the same collar as the last one I met with.

The passing train of thought brought Ilsa forward. The determined, and cursed, shinigami had played an almost pivotal role in ensuring Mouko's safety...he just wished she didn't have to subject herself to Chimera to do it. Another message rattled out, flowing into the Chairman's mind like whispers on the wind. Do we have any account of this one? Her energy feels familiar to a degree.

Sticky streaks of red, blue, green and yellow ran down the hand of a certain little girl. She happily licked away at her lolly, a pony bleeding rainbow-colored sugar down her fingers. Hitome Kakashi giggled to herself as she bounced down the street, golden curls glowing brightly. So many auras around, so much candy, so much... non-desert! Pretty much the opposite of Hueco Mundo.

All of a sudden, the little girl's head whipped around. She bit off the pony's ear, sweet pieces crunching between her teeth. Her face transformed into an all-out grin - mouth wide, teeth glinting, cheeks full of dimples.

"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" she suddenly screamed, jumping up and down excitedly.

Hitome kicked off the ground and burst into shunpo. Her long hair streamed behind her like a golden cape, a superhero garb, only that it was made of curls. Childish laughter filled the street, yet nobody turned to look at her - not that she would have cared, or even noticed. So far not having a gigai had been no problem. The little girl skidded to a halt in front of a huge tower, the scar tissue over her eye sockets lifting to the sky.

"Here I coooooooome, big reiatsu-chaaaaaaaaaaaaaans!"

Her delicate arms darted away from her body. Suddenly the air around her hands seemed to vibrate, to hum, a thousand wasps or -

"Sourei! Poltergeiiiiiiiiiist!" she shouted.

Space tore apart with the screeching of two giant monsters. Chainsaws cut their own place into the world, their roaring the wild call of a hungry beast. Hitome giggled happily, hopped onto one of her dear little savages, and punched into the air: "Let's goooooooooooooooooooo~"

The chainsaws launched into the sky. Floors flashed by, the mass of condensed energy upstairs growing closer and closer. Driven by the little girl's desire, the twin saws simply took the shortest path available: they burst through the window, glass exploding inwards as the girl's giggles rang louder than ever.

Hitome licked at her pony-lolly, her free hand on the chainsaw she was riding, and peered at the reiatsu gathered in the room. Then she popped the sweet out of her mouth and threw everybody a big grin.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii! I'm Hitome! What's upppp?"

[367. I talked to peeps in chat, including Hiren, who all said it was fine for Hitome to turn up :> ]

Even though most of them had sensed her ostentatiously projected reiatsu, some of them still shielded their eyes when she came bursting through the glass of the elevated conference room. The ones who didn't simply watched as chunks of tempered glass literally disintegrated against their enormous reiatsu.

The ruckus had alerted the two door guards and the hallway guards and they came rushing in, guns drawn. When they saw that the scene was chaotic, glass everywhere, save for a strange pattern in the shattering where the tiny chunks had disintegrated. Yet somehow everyone was a bit underwhelmed by the new arrival, and they lowered their firearms in confusion.

"Sir, is everything-"

Ciro gave a dismissive nod in the direction of the door, and the bewildered guards returned to their posts, blissfully unaware at how useless their standard-gunpowder bullets would have been against all the various types in the room; some wielding more power than they could have ever imagined.

As the four guards left, they passed two, equally well-dressed sentries in the hall. The two newcomers were escorting a man in handcuffs. He was a grunge-tainted man, whose musky scent seemed to indicate that he preferred not to shower for several days on end. His wavy hair seemed to grease into clumps that mopped together to frame his face menacingly. He was dressed in a worn dress-vest, shirt and tie, which seemed to improve the opinion on what "caste" of criminality he hailed from. Though it was still uncertain who he was, since he carried no identification, only an identifying serpent tattoo that was visible from beneath his rolled up sleeves and coiled from his gloved hands, to his arms and to his back.

While the arrivals marveled over the appearance of the girl riding a comically oversized, but deadly chainsaw, one of the two waited with the captive man at the door while the other came in and leaned down to Ciro.

In a tight whisper he said, "I'm terribly sorry Chairman, I know the discretion level of this meeting but this man was found attempting to get in to the building. He says he knows at least one of the members here. Should we bring him in?"

After making a mental note about the floor plan and the location of a certain Irish man's office for future use, the redhead walked calmly along the foreign corridors to where the meeting was supposed to be. Many people made way for her as if she could see; indeed she was getting proficient enough at navigating to no longer need that pesky cane to show her impediment. Stark black sunglasses sat over her eyes to hide her closed eyes just as her black dress jacket covered the blades strapped to her back that may well be needed in the coming hours. Or they might be needed, Fujikawa was never clear on some things but his tone was clear enough. With a sigh Ayako lightly knocked on the door frame to announce her presence.

“Masato sent me ahead,” she plainly stated without care to Orpheus’ military procedure and devoid of even trying to do something as trivial as trying to seem as she was making eye contact, “Something about him running late. Can you bring me up to speed on why we’re here? The details were a little vague.”

[188]

Ciro sighed out loud. By this point, he had officially stopped caring who was joining this meeting. At the torrent of broken glass littered the floor, the Chairman got up from his seat. “Let him stay. I assume that that these two are of your kind,” he said, as he walked over to the now shattered window. Five strings of reiatsu appeared from his hand, as the pieces of glass levitated off the floor and reset themselves back into the form of a window.

Activating Circuit Element, he established the link between himself, Zakki and Arano. The green-haired one and the old man have my clearance. The death god, and the two mad ones that just entered are not. If things go astray, you know what to do.

He turned to face Hitome, a slight look of disapproval on his face. “Put those things away. This is a room of peace for now. Any attempts at combat will be punished,” he turned his head to face the tattoo’d newcomer, “As for you, you are welcome to join, just realize the same goes for you too.”

The Italian sat back down at the head of the table, as he placed his head on his hands, “Mister Adachi, when will your employer be arriving? I would much like this to start before we get even more uninvited guests.”

[225/614]

At this point Zhukov himself could walk through the door and I wouldn’t flinch. The old man thought darkly. Silas he could understand but from the look of the girl, and those weapons there could only be one person in the history of Soul Society. “Hitome Kakashi isn’t it?” The old man asked apprehensively. “Ciro remember when I was discussing a certain army I believed wiped out? Unless I am horribly mistaken the young girl with the demonic chainsaws was a general for the army. The man with the mental disorder who has a thing for chains, is Silas. He's with me.”

Hisao’s voice trailed off until he seemed to suddenly realize another question was asked of him. “I tend not to ask questions of the man, they only lead to me knowing less than I did before. He will appear when he wishes I just wanted to make sure everyone was here and ready for it when it happened.”

[160/626]

Man way to represent Vizzle NPCs :)

Hitome's eyes widened at the sight of Hisao, her arm darting out to point at him.

"You're OLD! Your voice is, anyway. Will you live forever? Oh and yes, my name's Kakashi. And there once were many vizards, that army stuff and all, but now there aren't. At least I didn't meet anyone in Hueco Mundo. "

The little girl sucked on her lolly for a moment, appearing almost pensive. Almost. Because when she took it out again, nothing at all on her face had changed. The grin still took over most of her face, the dimples carved deep, and empty eye sockets stared at nothing in particular. The child jumped down from her chainsaw and waved her hands in the air.

"Byeeee Sourei! Thanks for the riiiide~"

The chainsaws growled quietly as if in farewell, and scattered in a myriad of energy pieces. Hitome bounced around the room, reiatsu blinking on and off like a sonar, and finally dropped down in a free seat. She bit off her pony-lolly's remaining ear, and sighed contently.

"It's been forever since I met so many strong reiatsus!"

One more figure made his way toward the Cerberus building. A veritable beast of a man, he stood over seven feet tall, with broad shoulders and rippling muscles. The man bore few wrinkles, but from the deep set of his frown, it seemed clear that he had seen the passing of many years, few of which had been kind to him. His light grey hair was shorn at shoulder level, and a faint sheen of stubble dotted his face. The giant's blue eyes had a dull look of apathy in them.

However physically imposing he was, his wardrobe was amazingly nondescript. He had on a pair of black slacks with a white undershirt and a dark grey collared shirt with short sleeves. There were bandages visible under his left sleeve, wrapped around his thick bicep.

A strap crossed over his chest, holding a heavy looking contraption against his back, a rectangular arrangement of thick black bars or pipes. Its purpose wasn't immediately evident.

Kazimir Ilari calmly strode up to the door guards, looking down at them and giving a deferential nod. "I am here on behalf of my employer and request to be taken to Adachi Hisao's location." His Japanese was very slow and had somewhat awkward pauses at certain syllables, but nonetheless had a competent, professional pronunciation.

As he waited, Kazimir idly tilted his head back and forth, popping the muscles in his neck.

[235/235]

Note
He's carrying a black briefcase, also. For those that care to look, he does have reiatsu, although how much is unclear.
