A subject that came up in chat was the possibility of creating and running a D&D campaign set in the Post Terminus universe. We'd be using Pathfinder rules for the campaign, and I (Raph) would be DMing sessions once a week. If interest outgrows what I can handle, the floor is open for someone else to offer to DM a second group per week.

Speaking personally, I can take six people for a campaign at most. The first campaign would run anywhere between 16-24 sessions long, and would run in evenings for a fair while. As for when these sessions would happen, that appears to be of some debate, so I'm going to let the people interested decide between my available days for campaigns.

I am unavailable Tuesdays and Thursdays, and it is unfavorable for me to hold sessions on Mondays.

I am available Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Sundays are when I attend my IRL D&D group, which I am also currently DMing.

Thoughts, concerns, suggestions? As far as timings go, it's up to you guys to decide from the three available. If you're new to D&D, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Below are a couple of links to the Pathfinder SRD (System Reference Document), a site for creating and storing character sheets in Pathfinder, as well as Roll20.

Roll20 would be the program we use to host the sessions. A microphone is not required but is welcomed, and I ask that you leave power-gaming at the door. These sessions would be for the purpose of having a good time and helping build up Araevis in a more relaxed way than formal submissions.

There will be an introductory session this Friday (Jan 23) and another on Saturday (Jan 24) for people who are new to D&D to learn the basics. It might not be for you, and I don't want to commit a group when one of them wouldn't be having a good time. If you're interested, please look over the PFSRD. It's more or less the rulebook for the game format we'd be using. If you have questions, feel free to bring them to the intro sessions, which should start sometime between 4 - 6p CST.

Same timeframe as grif should work for me (Past 9PM CST) any day but like thursday and saturdays. Miiiight be hit or miss for a bit depending on school.
 
It's looking like there's a handful of people who seem interested, but I'm going to stress that this is something that you wouldn't want to miss regularly. If you can't commit to it, you can't commit to it. Missing too often means getting - unfortunately - left behind in terms of experience and items.

The introductory sessions are going to be starting tomorrow at 6:00p EST (3:00p PST for me) and will run for the better part of the evening and night. The first session will cover mostly character creation and advancement.

The second session will begin on Saturday at 4:00p EST (1:00p PST) and will likely run for five or six hours. The second session will focus more on the moment-to-moment experience with D&D, as well as what to expect from my personal DMing style. If you're familiar and comfortable with the game, I'd still love to have you in on it as a voice of experience for new players, as well as to get used to me as a DM.

Keep in mind this will be the first time I've used Roll20 as a DM, so it'll be in part a learning experience for myself while that's going on. I ask only that you guys be patient while I familiarize myself with the UI and various options for the site, and hopefully we'll all have a good time.

If you find that D&D is maybe not for you, or my DM style doesn't fit your method of play, there's no obligation to join.

A quick schedule update, these are the possible times for campaign sessions. You'll have to figure it out amongst yourselves and see how many of you can fit into whatever timeslot.

Wednesday: 6:00p - 9:00p EST
Friday: 6:00p - 9:00p EST // 9:00p - 12:00a EST
Saturday: 6:00p - 9:00p EST // 9:00p - 12:00a EST

Hmm, I would be interested, but hmm. I would try for the friday and saturday times but probably not the entire session. And I have no idea how to DnD.
 
Never tried to DnD before (assuming it means tabletop rpging),Those times all sound good to me, will prolly miss the Fridays though.

Looks like the session times have been determined. First session will be Feb 6, at 6:00p EST.

According to those who showed up to the intro sessions, the current group members are:

1) Will
2) Berri
3) Finny
4) Lambo
5) Dys
6) Bob

I would recommend anyone to show up for the first session, if only to get a second-hand look at how sessions go. If there are no-shows, or people back out, spots will be made available. If any of you six cannot make it to sessions or feel as though this isn't your cup of tea, by all means post in this thread to say so. There's no pressure to participate.
