First staff stuff: Moony tell us where the spec point for the resub is coming from.

Next: New character is in the works behold a kai

Ekibyou (Plague)

Release Phrase: Defile, Ekibyou.

Form: X’s Normal katana morphs into a five foot long extremely thin scimitar the center of which appears hollow. From the tip, if it is held stationary, the black sword appears to weep a similar colored liquid onto the ground which dissipates shortly thereafter.

Ability: Akueki (Epidemic)
The true nature of X’s kai is far more sinister than it first appeared. Rather than metal, the entire blade is composed of countless bacteria joined together by X’s reiatsu. When encountering any living being, sword strikes from X’s zanpakutou appear to do absolutely no damage and fade right through the opponent. However, the bacteria latch on to the enemy traveling through even the smallest of pores to enter and begin to incubate. At any time once this happens X may pay 100 reiatsu each to summon forth up to 3 fully mature viruses per inflicted wound.

Each being is roughly his own height mimicking his appearance complete with replica zanpakutou, with one notable difference. The eyes of the viruses are jet black and can be seen moving due to the movement of the bacteria. The beings leave the enemy’s body causing the damage the sword strike should have dealt as it exits (reduced as required due to damage reduction techniques and dealt only once regardless of how many viruses emerge). Each virus acts as the zanpakutou itself continuing the cycle of attacks, though they may be dissipated if hit with an attack stronger than their makeup.

Bankai: Ekibyou no Suisei (Plauge of this Decadent World)

Form: Upon announcing bankai the general area around X is flooded with the black bacteria. Draped behind X is a massive 20ft tall form of Ekibyou made manifest. This vision is just for show though, as the bacteria’s purpose is to assist with the wielding of the true form of X’s bankai, a pair of 10ft long versions of his shikai weapon. The phantom arms of Ekibyou allow X to wield the weapons without losing any of the finesse he had, even in spite of their massive size.

Ability: Ishuu Akueki (Swarm Epidemic)
Taking the strength of his shikai and further corrupting it when encountering any living being, the sword strikes from X’s zanpakutou appear to do absolutely no damage and fade right through the opponent. However, the bacteria latch on to the enemy traveling through even the smallest of pores to enter and begin to incubate. At any time once this happens X may pay 50 reiatsu each to summon forth up to 6 fully mature viruses per inflicted wound.

Each being appears as a 10ft tall version of the manifestation of Ebikyou even wielding the same giant blades that the spirit helps X use. However, at the start of the next round, X may repay their cost to rejoin the virus without having to inflict another strike.

Attack 1: The virulence of X’s kai has learned to take on beings who are naturally resistant to damage or naturally regenerative. Upon a successful strike, or the dissipation of one of the viruses in melee range of an opponent, X may pay 5% of his reiatsu to further distort the bacteria. This version of the virus is no longer sentient and has a quick life cycle dying the following turn. However, through the course of its infection, the virus wreaks havoc on the targets defensive abilities. Any damage reduction or regeneration is reversed until the end of X’s following turn. For example any abilities which reduce minor damage to nothing instead turn minor damage to moderate. Regenerative abilities similarly begin to further agitate existing wounds rather than heal them.

Attack 2: Rather than the standard viruses, X is able to create far more sinister breeds should he desire. At the cost of 3% reiatsu, the virus takes on a sleeker form. They appear to be an insect version of X while keeping the characteristic hollow black swarming eyes. The virus bursts from the wound, dealing damage that is unable to be reduced below minor, while creating a festering sore where it left. The wound oozes a dark black liquid for two turns causing intense pain and is unable to be treated by restorative effects for three turns. These viruses are only able to create wounds which turn into themselves.

Attack 3: Though a proficient swordsman, X is sometimes in need of viruses tougher than either of the previous versions. Once a strike is made X is able to pay 5% reiatsu to incubate a virus for one turn. At the beginning of the next turn it emerges from its host draining an amount of reiatsu equal to cost paid into it. The attacks of these beings, like the previous modification of viruses, can only reproduce themselves.

Spec. Point bought for 1500 kan, look at Week 182's Personnel Record.

Shi-Kai

Name:Mu Teikei” - Shapeless

Command: “Shape the world, Mu Teikei!”

Spirit: A robot.

Form: Shapeless only in name, Mu Teikei molds itself around Kaede’s primary sword hand and becomes a mechanical arm in all ways of the word.

Reference.

Abilities:

[Assuming Direct Control] Because Mu Teikei takes on the form of a mechanic arm, Kaede doesn’t exactly have anything to fight with other than... well, a mechanic arm.

Taking this into account, Mu Teikei can transform itself into either a finely honed blade, or a brutal gauntlet of awesomeness.

By paying a further 15% of her reiatsu, Kaede can sharpen her mechanic blade, or place more ‘oomph’ behind her gauntlet-based punches.

Ban-Kai

Name: “Mu Teikei Suetsukata” - Shapeless End of the World

Form: Similar to the zanpakutou’s Shi-kai-form, Mu Teikei molds itself around Kaede’s primary combat arm and becomes a mechanic arm as shown in the shikai’s reference picture, but instead of halting there the mechanic arm becomes a catalyst for a summoned creature of sheer badassery.

To summon this robot of excellence, Kaede must pay all the reiatsu gained from invoking Bankai, as well as an additional 25% of her reiatsu to fuel the Robot’s initial power.

A reference for the robot is found here, and Kaede, herself, stays in the robot for the remainder of her bankai - mainly as its pilot.

Attacks:

[Molding Snake, Complete Assumption] Being the giant, reiatsu-based robot that is Kaede’s summon, Mu Teikei Suetsukata works off of Kaede’s own spiritual prowess and as such is fueled by Kaede’s very output of reiatsu.

By paying any amount of reiatsu, pouring it into the Robot’s fuelling system, Kaede can power the Robot’s movements - attacks and defensive manoeuvres alike.

Robot Offence:
(Mu Teikei Suetsukata is only able to equip one of these when summoned)

[End Of The World, Nearing Completion] By, beforehand, having infused the properties of Raikouhou into the summon’s core, the summon can pay 25% of its reiatsu to concentrate the kidou at the top of its head.

After having charged the kidou up - after which it has increased in power-outage and effectiveness by the reiatsu paid - the summon shoots forth, from all possible angles, a devastating raikouhou-esque blast.

[Seeing Through The World, Complete Destruction] By, instead, concentrating reiatsu into the ocular amplifying refractors, the robot is able to direct a powerful, concentrated beam of energy at a target. This attack costs 20% reiatsu.

Robot Defence:
(Mu Teikei Suetsukata is only able to equip one of these when summoned)

[Impenetrable Fortress, The End Is Nigh] Obviously a giant robot is, for starters, immensely big, but is also immensely resilient. Building forth from this mutual understanding between summon and summoner, the giant robot, by paying 50% of its base reiatsu, can form a barrier around itself which lasts until broken down.

[Shockingly Effective, Paying Your Depths] Being Impenetrable is nice and all, but it is, however, perhaps not one of the most conventional means of defending one’s self against oncoming attacks... especially when there aren’t any oncoming attacks.

As such, it may be a better option to just look from attack to attack in order to defend.

By paying 15% of its base reiatsu, Mu Teikei Suetsukata releases a shock-wave, covering a 30m radius, cutting every incoming attack by the amount of reiatsu paid.

Round Two, go!

Changes in Bold. Added an brief explanation of her manifestation and inner world, and tweaked the form a bit.

Shikai
Hangyaku (Rebellion)
Command
- Multiply and Scatter, Hangyaku!

[FONT=Arial, sans-serif]Manifestation & Inner World - [/FONT][FONT=Arial, sans-serif] Hangyaku manifests as a knight, wearing an ornate black breastplate armour, which features ancient writing and phrases within the breastplate. The spirit usually sits on an large throne. It has armrests made of sword fragments, an occasional hilt showing from within. The inner world itself seems to be a large medieval castle. Scattered around the castle and it's grounds are a countless number of swords, that look exactly like Hangyaku's released form. The spirit usually holds seven of these swords with him it walks around the grounds or castle. Three of these blades are held at the waist, while the remaining four blades are strapped to his back in an cross shape. [/FONT]

Form -

When the release phrase is uttered, her sword splits into seven swords, and four of them are in hilts that are strapped on to her back in a cross shape. Three other are sheathed in their respective hilts on her waist, but one remains in her grip, so every time she releases one of the hilts stays empty.

Her swords have a blade length of twenty-eight inches and hilt of ten inches. The hilt of the swords are wrapped in white cloth, while the handguard is fashioned like a six pointed star. The blade itself for the first twelve inches, has only the cutting edge, with a hole at the center. There are some strands of metal going through the hole for supporting purposes. The hole is oval shaped. Blade is coloured black with some ancient writing going through the centerline of the rest of the blade.

Ability 1 –
Shizuka has a deep connection to each and every single blade that is conjured by her Shi Kai. As such she can teleport to each blade, even if the blades themselves are stationary or moving. The speed of the teleport equals to 2x her hohou. Teleporting takes 5% of her maximum rei. Shizuka can use this ability once every third turn.

Ability 2 - By imbuing any wound she has inflicted with 5% of her reiatsu, she can channel a crippling force to her opponent. This crippling energy that flows through their body, manifests as a debuff to the opponent's speed stat (Agility, Hohou etc.) The strength of the debuff is 10% of her kidou stat. This lasts for 4 rounds, before the cost must be paid again to renew the duration. If the opponent doesn't have a speed stat, the debuff affects their primary combat stat.

Ok so here we go again. Shikai with a little changes ;)

Name: Maya

Command: Pierce the veil, Maya

Appearance: After uttering her release command the whole blade increases it’s width four times and it length increases to 6'5". The hilt thickens reaching blade thickness but still retaining it’s hexagonal shape. In the place where the handle connects with the blade there are imbedded big, white pearls glowing with greenish light every time Anya use Maya’s powers. The blade itself besides growing longer and much wider gain three triangular points along each edge and runes inscribed along the whole length.

Spirit: Maya can take many forms and likes to change them frequently, even during Anya’s visits in her inner world. Usually she take form of a half snake half woman, clad in robes with a cape that constantly change colors or patterns inscribed on it or even sometimes it’s form to those of heavy armor. Sometimes she can take the form of a normal woman with snake eyes and tongue or a man sized cobra with a human eyes. Due to be partially snake, Maya has habit of hissing, mainly when she’s talking with Anya.

Inner world: Anya’s inner world looks like a desert similar to that of Hueco Mundo with large lake in the middle of it. In the sky both the sun and the moon shine over a world shrouded in twilight. Depending on Anya’s mood the whole world drifts toward the day or the night.

Attack - Kitsune-bi (Fox fire)

At the cost of 5% reiatsu, Anaya can shoot a green flame in the shape of the fox head at her opponent. The next two attacks made by the opponent will cost an additional 5% of Anaya's kidou stat in reiatsu, without buffing the damage of the attack.

Ability - Kurayami no naka de hebi (Snake in the darkness)

Maya’s powers allow Anya to mask her kidou within an illusion. Like a rope that could be mistaken for a snake when someone looks at it in the darkness, so too could the spell be taken for something different. Used kidou could be hidden in an illusion of another similar level spell or sometimes that of the opposite type of the casted, that disperses when the kidou hits the target/if effect fully manifest (kidou chant that enemy see is changed to reflect the one used by Maya in illusion). Each use of this ability costs 5% of reiatsu for creating an illusion of the same tier and branch spell. Weaving the kidou of the opposite type cost an additional 5% of reiatsu.

Cthulhu – Resubmit
Cleave – This has too much going on to be part of a 1 ability kai and left intact. Consider kai abilities to be a pay x, get x result system. When you want more than that, you need to sacrifice: slots, scope of functionality, and so on.

First, you convert the payment into more damage(5% for 3 rounds connection) to everything. Doing something like that alone would mandate a sacrifice. Second, its even more destructive versus non living things. Third it increases reach. Its too much for one thing, especially when giving nothing in return.

Slitna – Fine. Note that 2% of your rei over a big AoE isn’t going to be too impressive in terms of damage versus a similar enemy. Might be a good mook masher down the road, though.

Bani Fjotir – with a 3 ability kai, a 10% debuff is the max you can achieve.

Finny - Resubmit
Form - Powers in the form are a no no. If you want independently moving appendages and regeneration of form if broken, these are all abilities and attacks you have to use slots for.

Abilities 1 and 2 are fine.

Ability 3 is also fine, because I misread. Changing the shape, size, orientation of kidou you launched is cool for the cost listed.

Bankai – Resubmit

Really, I have but one grumble on this. The charger is a 5% rei regen per round. Current equivalent slots for this purpose regen a base of 1% per round, and grow on connection (every 10k) or do a flat 2, etc. This is too much.

Moon -
Shade asked, so we gotta see: where’s the spec point?

Ability 1 – Cut the fluff about instant shots. Your ability to land the hit will be dependent on a stat of yours, kidou, zanj, as you choose. But you need to chose one and let it handle the hitting.

Ability 2- Deleted the second sentence. That’s a means of employing, not a fact. Again, if you want a specific type of accuracy, tie it to a stat.

Ability 3- Fine, actually. But a 1% cost binding will be . . . weak. Don’t expect it to hold your opponents as anything more than a distraction for this cost.

Shade -

Shik – Approved with changes; Wording on this is a little loose, but I get it. Keep it a 1 to 1 ratio, if you would. 1 hit = 1 virus clone. As it reads now, each of your hits would be worth 3 in damage, in addition to giving you virus clones. And of course, people can still parry your sword. Lastly, this should be a strong kai, so X is unaffected by the multi weapon rules himself regarding the clones, but, his clones as a net are. I think that should make it pretty awesome yet something that can be contested.

Bankai – Resubmit

Ability – Rather then 6, lets make this the 3. But, the damage is still equal, if you would, to a normal wound.

Attack 1 - Have to tweak this: BK attacks have the precedence of lowering DR by one step, so let’s do that here. Further, you can use the 5% rei to halt up to 3%, inverting the first 2%. This way, we have a 1=1 return. Its buffer then some versions of this we’ve seen, but that’s because 1) you have to hit and 2) it only lasts a round after.

Attack 2 – Fine, I think.

Attack 3 – Also good.

RESUB!

Name: Vald (Power OR Control)
Release Phrase: Enda, Vald (Bring to a end, Vald)
Inner World: The inner world of Griffin is a boundless wasteland, it’s climate and form changing with Griffin’s emotions. When he is angry, it becomes a rocky desert. Sadness fills the desert with water, creating an endless ocean. With fear comes a dark, rainless storm, causing thunder and lightning to crash down on a plain of dead grass. Happiness, however, freezes the land over, creating a field of ice in the middle of a raging snowstorm. It is a nostalgic place, reminding the swordsman of his own homeland.

Manifestation: Vald’s form is almost like that of the common viking. His shirtless form ripples with large, powerful muscles, and a wide, rust red beard hangs down from his otherwise bald head down to cloth pants. In his hands, he holds a copy of himself, its form larger even than his true one.

The claymore spirit’s body, however, does bear a few differences from Griffin’s real world ancestors. Metal plates are patch welded to his form in a crude attempt to heal some of his deeper wounds, and small wires skit across the surface of his arms. At his stomach, a large scar slowly seeps a black, oily substance that even Griffin does not know of.

Notoriously blunt, Vald is extremely quick to point out Griffin’s mistakes and problems, often with an insult thrown in. This is not done maliciously, however, but rather to help his creator learn and try to avoid them in the future.

Form: Once a pristine claymore, Griffin’s zanpaktou has undergone some changes as a result of his time in the human world. Though still maintaining the same basic shape, the small holes that ran down the blade are gone, replaced by more wires that shoot a jagged path up the blade. The hilt itself has grown, becoming long enough for four hands to easily grasp at the same time, and the previously white hilt has become stained with black. The guard, at least, has remained unchanged, and the blade maintains its long, double bladed form.

Attack: Kljuufa - “Cleave”

Vald is an offensive warrior. As such, he hates those who would use a wall or some other defense measure, believing them to be cowards who would rather run and hide than fight and take their wounds to the fore. By paying 5% of his reiatsu, Griffin can take this hate and focus it, empowering all of his attacks for the next three rounds -- dealing bonus damage 10% against barriers. In addition this ability passively increases the reach of Griffin’s strikes; mbuing his blade with reiryoukou and extending it’s length by 0.5 meters for every 5k in Connection to a maximum of 2 meters.

Attack: Slitna - “Shatter”

The trump of Vald’s ability lies in its destructive capabilities. He takes the power of his wielder and turns it into pure destructive force; releasing every ounce of raw, undiluted power he can pull from hoss partner and focusing it into devastating, explosive attacks. By paying 2% of his reiatsu per use, Griffin can augment any physical attacks -- including Kljuufa -- to create an explosion on impact. This explosion is spreads out from the point of contact, dealing damage over a radius equal to one meter for every 2k in Connection to a maximum of 10 meters.

Attack: Bani Fjotir - “Death Shackle”

The might of Vald -- much like the Vikings with which he shares his likeness -- is a wonder to behold on the field of battle. Their very presence rattled the enemy with fear. Bani Fjotir channels this terror and turns it on an opponent. By paying 1% of his reiatsu, with each successful melee attack dealt Griffin can debuff an opponent’s respective combat stat by 3% of his zanjutsu This effect can stack up to 3 times on any given opponent, maxing at 10%. The culminative effect can last for a total of up to three rounds before diminishing.

暗殺者の短剣
[SIZE=+1]Kyoujin[/SIZE]
"Assasin's Dagger"

Release Phrase

Kage no you ni Shizuka - Kyoujin
“Silent like a shadow – Assassin’s Dagger”

Manifestation

Appearing to be an elderly man, Kyoujin looks a lot like Eiji. His buff body makes him look just like the brute that is his owner. The elder man is almost completely bald, except for the pony-tail that runs from the back of his head down to his shoulders. Just like his hair, the grand beard that he let grow has a bright white color. Wearing a shihakusou just like the dark-haired shinigami, Kyoujin is probably an older version of Eiji.

Reference Picture

Inner World

Kyoujin resides in a small grassy area that only has a few trees and a tiny house as decoration. The house is somewhat smaller than a one bedroom apartment and is where the spirit resides. Both the grass and the leaves give off a bright green color.

Form Change

After releasing his zanpakutou, it completely vanishes. By grabbing the hilt with both hands, the young shinigami utters the release phrase and Kyoujin is released. The katana transforms into a pair of katars that the boy wears on each hand.

The weapon turns into a tri-blade, with two longer blades to the sides, and a shorter one in the middle.

Reference Picture

Abilities

Kagesochi - “Shadow Step”

Kyoujin’s abilities are complementary to the art of assassination. Remaining unnoticed, striking swiftly, silently, and leaving without a trace. All of these principles are core to Kyoujin's modus operandi. Kagesochi in particular is a prime example of why Eiji’s Zanpakutou excels at silent killing. At the cost of 2% of his reiatsu per use, Eiji can enter a nearby shadow and move to another almost instantly. Conversely, he can also remain hidden within the shadow; though his reiatsu signature is not cloaked. The range of the movement is equal to one meter for every 100 points in Hohou and can be used one time per round -- gaining an additional use every 2000 reiatsu to a maximum of five uses.

Higureiken - “Dusk Blade”

Kyoujin's skills work synergistically with each other, ensuring that every strike deals the greatest possible damage in the shortest amount of time; a good assassin works fast, after all. Higureiken accomplishes this much-desired synergy by passively imbuing Eiji’s blade with reiatsu whenever Kagesochi is active. When striking an opponent from the shadows, Eiji’s attacks gain bonus damage equal to 15% of his Hakuda (this stacks with the existing damage from melee attacks). Each attack dealt by Higureken costs Eiji 2% of his reiatsu.

Using my spec point from Third Place in the HD tourney to resub my bankai because I have a feat for one of the attacks now ><

Approved Bankai
Bankai: Kumon no Tenchishinmei (Agony of the Gods of Heaven and Earth)

Form: The form of Kumon no Tenchishinmei is simply put, grotesque. Incorporating into it everything the zanpakutou represents, whips, fear, and primarily, pain. The user is covered literally from neck to toe in a various number of whips, interlaced with metal shards. These whips constantly flay the user’s flesh, causing agonizing pain, but the wounds are instantaneously healed.

Ability:

There are three kinds of whips that the user has at their disposal, each of which is unique in its own right.

Kurushii: The most common whips available to the user. Kurushii each measure exactly five feet, and all of which are directly controllable by the user. A user has one Kurushii for every 1,000 connection they have.

Tsunagu: These truly brutal whips are the depiction of the twisted nature of Kumon no Tenchishinmei. These whips lay directly underneath the skin of the user, constantly moving, ripping the flesh apart, and letting it heal again instantaneously. Tsunagu are designed with the primary focus of grappling and restraining victims in mind. In order to control Tsunagu outside of the body the user must expend 5% of their reiatsu per turn they are free, and the ten foot long whips must stay in contact with the user’s body. A user has one Tsunagu per 5,000 connection they have.

Osoreru: These are two middle length (7 ft) whips held in the user’s hands. Osoreru may be manipulated without the cost of reiatsu, however the user may only have two.

Each whip loses all unique properties upon losing contact with the user, and fall to the ground lifeless should this happen. It should also be mentioned that Kumon no Tenchishinmei grants the user heightened pain tolerance, so as the to handle the excessive pain caused by these whips.

Attacks:

Fuhen Kumon:

This technique causes the metal on each of the user’s whips to be coated in an agonizing poison, capable of causing shock to victims. This technique causes indescribable pain to victims, completely paralyzing the limb with the most toxin injected for two turns. This toxin remains on the metal for two turns. This attack requires 5% of the user’s reiatsu.

REMOVING

Toxugtaza:

By using this technique, the user is able to turn pain back on anyone who inflicts them wounds. In order to do this, any of the users whips must be in contact with the victim. By expending 2% of their reiatsu per wound they take from the victim, the user cause the individual to feel the exact pain the user is feeling from the attack.

Shikeihanketsu:

This attack is designed to instill terror into the minds of victims. This attack can only be used if an Osoreru is in contact with a victim. When the user activates this attack, the victim’s mind is filled with an elaborate illusion of their single worst memory.

This illusion is maintained for each turn an Osoreru remains in contact with the user and the victim, but requires 5% of the user’s reiatsu per turn to maintain.

NAME PENDING
:

Amaya’s life is defined by struggles of insurmountable odds and situations where she is always pitted against stronger foes. Through her search for the raw power to overcome these forces she has come up with a way to eek every raw drop of power from her final release so that she can fight on equal footing with her stronger opponents.

This technique is highly dangerous, and more over infinitely painful to Amaya. It is so indescribably painful that even someone with as deep a masochistic tendency as the young woman can only bear to use it for a matter of moments.

The concept of the technique is simple, but the power it invokes is undeniable as well. By forcing 40% of her remaining reiatsu into the whips of her bankai, Amaya causes the whips to swell, doubling their length, and causing them to split into pairs. While the effect is simple, the sheer volume of attacks, and area able to be attacked that Amaya wields is massive.

This technique is highly volatile, and immediately the effect starts to break down after three turns of use. Should Amaya feel the need to extend the effect of this ability she may, at the additional cost of 20% of her remaining reiatsu for each turn.

The pain caused to Amaya due to the sheer number of whips produced, and the amount of reiatsu used causes Amaya to no longer be able to maintain bankai at any point afterwards in the fight. If she has just used the technique for three turns, Kumon no Musume may be released in it’s shikai form thereafter. If Amaya has used the technique for any number of additional turns the zanpakutou must remain fully sealed for the remainder of the battle... if any remains.

Here's to throwing caution to the wind...

With the rise of Akio’s final resolve, the Storm Dragon’s true form is called to the realm of the tangible. Upon invocation of Ban Kai, a shimmering wave of azure energy begins to emanate from the blade before it grows to consume Akio in his entirety. In a furious spiral of water that rises to pierce the heavens themselves, Zennyo Ryuou presents himself.

Forgoing the simple form of a basic sword, the Final Release returns the weapon to its form as manifested by the zanpakutou’s previous incarnations: an over-sized spear. Massive in proportion to its wielder, the yari measures a full eleven feet from end to end. The blade deviates from its more traditional counterparts by being significantly larger in comparison, measuring a full four feet long with a width of one foot. It also has a more western design to it, double-edged with a single, triangular point, and is much thicker than is normal. The shaft is round and made of hardwood, covered with black-lacquered bamboo strips to add a glossy and polished appearance. This measures seven feet in total length. Finally, a crescent-shaped blade is embedded into the base of the weapon, attached to the pommel by the outward curve, lending to both slashing and piercing maneuvers, completing the weapon and measuring one foot in length.

[ Daiun Seiu ] - 大雲請雨
(Great Cloud Praying for Rain)

Named after the sutra recited by those who wished to invoke the good-will of the rain god Zentatsu, the ability of Akio’s final release is a testament to the powers of the Dragon King. The manifestation of his desire to heal the world, Zennyo calls forth a great black cloud to take over the skies in his subjugation of heaven. From the mass of coruscating ebony comes a downpour, consuming the radius of the cloud-cover in its entirety and establishing the domain of the Dragon King.

Within his realm of influence Zentatsu has control over all manner of water. The rain, being the most abundant source, is his to control, and by extension, his wielder’s. With a mere thought, Akio can summon vast quantities of water to aid in the creation of any attack or defense imaginable, using the massive spear and his own body as a means to conduct the path and manipulate the shape of the insurmountable quantity of water within his control. In a manner similar to the weapon’s initial release, energy can be applied to any manifested construct, maximizing the potential it has to function as a tool in combat. For this, Akio may pay any amount of energy that may not exceed 20% of his maximum reiatsu in a single turn. Likewise, by paying the cost of any ability that attempts to claim water or ice as an affinity within the domain of the Storm Caller, he may nullify the power, exerting his superior control of the element. The speed, precision, and accuracy of the water-manipulation is determined by Akio’s zanjutsu statistic (including any accumulated bonuses).

The base radius of the storm is thirty meters, but for every 5,000 connection possessed by Akio, its range may increase by ten meters, to a maximum of fifty.

[ Seigetsu ] - 霽月
(Moon Shining in a Rain-Cleansed Sky)

With the integration of both wills and powers granted by the ascension to this new level of power, Akio and Zentatsu are capable of achieving perfect harmony between their respective strengths. Through the fusion of their energies they can compound their chosen specialities to create a single, unified ability. By calling forth his mastery over the healing arts, Akio can temporarily influence the vast rain itself, imbuing it with any prepared chiyudou that he has at his disposal (so long as it can be channeled). As a result, the spell will begin to heal wounds based on its parameters, so long as the water makes contact with the injured, and they fall within the storm’s range (Akio included).

While it is true that the rain can breathe life into a land that is wrought with drought, it can cause destruction with the same amount of ease. Known enemies may be excluded from the healing effects of the empowered storm, and instead have their existing wounds begin to degrade progressively based on the description of the spell, provided the water makes contact (the energy restoration is not present during Seigetsu’s adverse effect).

Activating this ability requires that Akio must pay both the cost of the spell and 10% of his reiatsu, and the duration is dependant upon the spell at hand.

[ Tatsubi ] - 竜尾
(Dragon Tail)

Derived from Akio’s desire to protect, not only himself but his allies as well, Tatsubi further represents the powerful bond shared by the mender and his sword spirit. The downpour, as it drenches the battlefield in its entirety, makes the whole of Zentatsu’s domain apart of the technique that allows his wielder to halt any attack that dares to strike against the Dragon King or those under his protection.

Executed by using his own energy as a catalyst, Akio will polarize the blade of his weapon, causing it to function like a magnet for any and all water that falls within a relative radius. Then, by bringing the gargantuan blade of the spear to bear against an incoming attack the water may be released, generating a concussive shock-wave designed to nullify and blast away any offensive (be it of tangible or metaphysical composition). As a result, attacks counteracted by the Dragon’s Tail may be shunted to the side, knocked off-course, or dissipated completely.

This ability requires that Akio pay 15% of his maximum reiatsu. In the case of energy attacks, the ability of Tatsubi to defend is dependant upon cost versus cost. When dealing with physical assaults, relative strength is the determining factor.

[ Ryuuga ] - 竜牙
(Dragon Fang)

Derived from Akio’s will to fight in the name of his ideals, Ryuuga further represents the powerful bond shared by the mender and his sword spirit. Focusing the whole of Zentatsu’s unbridled might, the Dragon’s Fang is the final attack. Exerting his control over the water element, Akio will call forth a sudden surge of energy that will concentrate on the blade of the immense spear, only to be released a moment later in the form of single lance of highly-pressurized water. The deceptively small projectile (congruent to the size of the blade) moves with heightened speed, and strikes with biting accuracy. Designed to slay his opposition from a distance, this attack moves at a speed equal to 1.25x Akio’s zanjutsu (including any accumulated bonuses), and can travel anywhere within the radius of the downpour and may be summoned for a mere 5% of his maximum reiatsu.

Hmhm, one more time. Meh.

Changes:
Shiaki cameras are now start at 3 by now are cheaper at 2% per and have a lowered creation time. Camera creation also tied into attack 1.

Due to lack of response, I'll be putting my bankai reasoning here. Bankai still has high reiatsu generation due to the following reasons. All current regen techs I can think of are at the racial level. For example, the AH version does a flat 3% per round. I feel the bankai attack should be stronger than them because it doesn't last forever, the reiatsu is lost upon ending of the bankai, and the reiatsu can only be used on 2 things. Though overall, the total charge amount per turn is down.

Shikai: Spy IMINT (I Mean It, No Touching)

Form: IMINT takes the form of a silver head visor. Two backward tilting wings decorate the side of the visor and a single red dot shifts along the view pane. 3 cameras are automatically created for no cost upon releasing.

Wearing the visor is needed to access every ability and attack.

Attack: The Surveyor
By paying 2% reiatsu, a camera is created at the visor with movement speed based on the visor wearer’s kidou. Only one camera can be created per turn.

The visor is used to control the cameras as well as receive visual and audio information from them. The video and sound are stored on board the visor and can be replayed later. The cameras have built in thermal, night and reiatsu vision.

The maximum the camera can go is 10 km from the visor and a maximum of 6 cameras can exist at one time. The cameras are small spheres about the size of a soccer ball with wings.

Ability: The Fete
The camera can act as a projector, speakers or flashlights and can show sound or images stored on the visor.

Attack: The Manipulator
3 cameras arranged in a triangle formation are able to focus/defocus and reorient any kidou sent out by the visor wearer. Such as massive area kidous being focused down to deal all damage to one single point or a small kidou being defocused to affect a larger area. The kidou can also be redirected with complete 180 degree changes being possible.

It costs half the attack cost per manipulation though a reorientation and focus/defocus counts as one manipulation if done at the same time.

Bankai

Form: The bankai has the form of a giant satellite that hovers up in space.

Ability: The Scanner
The scanners of the satellite allow Picca to see anything she wants to within 5 km of herself. This will even pierce through walls and solid ground and can be augmented with night vision, thermal vision or reiatsu vision.

Attack: The Charger
Every turn, the Satellite will automatically charge 5% reiatsu. Additionally, Picca can charge the Satellite with her own reiatsu as well, up to 5% per turn. The charge maxes out at 100%.

Attack: The Danmaku
Unleashes a hail of small lasers from space. Each individual laser shot is valued at 100 reiatsu and the shots can be continuously fired as long as there is charge. It is not necessary to use the entire charge at once. The range is anything within the scanner.

Attack: The Annihilator
Unleashes all the charge stored in the satellite to fire a giant laser from space. The range is anything within the scanner.

Cthulu - Approved with Change

Bani Fjotir - Make this a 1% cost and debuff based on one of your stats. 3,6, then 10% as a cap.

Dragan - Resubmit

Ability 1: If you’re going to do a visible range teleport, then, this needs to cost more. Its tied to hohou, so you can’t just duck everything thrown at you. Lets say 5%.

Ability 2: No. If you’re going to damage a living target, cost is going to be = to augmented damage.

Amaya: Approved with change

Given other limitations, and multi-weapon rules, we should tweak this. Initial cost of 15% rei to start, 10% round after three (not remaining, total).

Froggu: Resubmit

Ability: Radius max should be 30, so just drop the grows with connection. A range of 1-20% is too great, trim it down to 10% to 15% in a fixed range, based on your preferences. Example: 5-20% 1-15%, 1-10%, 5-15%, and so on.

Seigetsu – Lets buff this by lowering the cost to 5%.

Tatsubi – Cool

Ryuuga – Final attack and 5% cost seem contradictory. However, the core mechanics look fine, you’re buffing a single attack’s rating. Lets say that the buff itself costs 1%, and the remaining X(whatever you decide) is the bulk of the attack.

Fin – Note: Theron’s bankai has regen actually.

Shi kai – Approved

Ban kai - Approved with a change

Ability – Good

Attack 1 – We were split, so we'll lean on the side of beneficence, and say this is ok.

Attack 2 – Tie it to a stat and cool. I think the multi-weapon rules will apply here, its hard to pinpoint 1000 lasers compared to 1. No need to explicitly state that, just keep it in mind.

Attack 3 - cool

Abilities

Kagesochi
- “Shadow Step”

Kyoujin’s abilities are complementary to the art of assassination. Remaining unnoticed, striking swiftly, silently, and leaving without a trace. All of these principles are core to Kyoujin's modus operandi. Kagesochi in particular is a prime example of why Eiji’s Zanpakutou excels at silent killing. At the cost of 2% of his reiatsu per use, Eiji can enter a nearby shadow and move to another almost instantly. The speed of movement is determined at 1.5 times his hohou stat and he can travel up to 50m per step. Conversely, he can also remain hidden within the shadow; though his reiatsu signature is not cloaked. Although any damage to that specific shadow will reach him if he remains idle.

Higureiken
- “Dusk Blade”

Kyoujin's skills work synergistically with each other, ensuring that every strike deals the greatest possible damage in the shortest amount of time; a good assassin works fast, after all. Higureiken accomplishes this much-desired synergy by passively imbuing Eiji’s blade with reiatsu whenever Kagesochi is active. When striking an opponent from the shadows, Eiji’s attacks gain bonus damage equal to 15% of his Hakuda (this stacks with the existing damage from melee attacks). Each attack dealt by Higureken costs Eiji 15% of his hakuda in reiatsu.

Shikai

Spirit's history:

Tod’s spirit has split into two due to trauma caused by a hollows touch and actions. The hollow threw the tracker’s own blade into him and almost killed him from it. This caused the spirit to have to split into two to deal with it.

Name(s):

Kafu Mēkā (Widow maker)

and

Kiri No Ko (Mist fox)

Release command(s):

Crush their resistance, Widow Maker(Execution Form)

And

Flow swiftly down the mountains, Mist Fox(Flowing Form)

Release Forms:

Execution Form:
The blade changes into a Khopesh, a blade suited for executing fallen enemies. The blade is a dull bronze color, while a slight curve in the blade makes it good for decapitation. Both sides are razor sharp, leading to both Tod and his opponent being wounded if the blade isn’t used correctly.

Execution Form Visual
khopesh-2.jpg

Flowing Form:
The second form, which is the first ability he learned, is a Ashandari Spear. It is a spear that is about five feet long, about one and a half feet of that is a curved scimitar blade attached to one end. This would normally make the spear unbalanced except that the other end of the spear has a mace-like spiked ball attached to it. This help the weight of the spear stay balanced. It's remarkably light for a spear, weighing, at least to Tod, about the same as an unreleased zanpakutou.

Flowing Form Example
images

Spirits:

Mist fox looks like a thin wisp of mist with a fox’s head and front paws. long and thin it’s about half a foot long. It is playful and caring, and likes to help others survive against Widow maker. Warning people, to Widow maker’s chagrin, about falling logs.

Widow maker is a giant tree with a bunch of dead chunks of tree connected to vines up in its branches. It is sadistic and cruel and likes to drop these logs on anyone intruding in it’s territory. It gets mad at Mist fox giving away that it’s going to attack so sometimes it’ll drop the logs on Mist fox, which doesn’t work since Mist fox is actually made out of mist.

Inner World:

Tod’s Inner World is an unending swamp filled with mists covering the entirety of the world and making footing unstable and difficult to find. The center of the world has a giant tree in it and that’s the only landmark that one can see in the entirety of the inner world.

Abilities:

Ability 1:
Nagareru Keitai (Flowing Form) This is Mist fox’s blade form, letting Tod have a versatility in weapon choice. The blade changes from whatever form it had before into an Ashandari spear. After Tod learned this he was able to use either release command to go to shikai, thus being able to choose which blade he wanted to release to. It is brought out by uttering the release phrase "Flow down the mountains, Mist fox.”

Ability 2:
Jikan no Kiri (Mists of Time) This ability stores moisture stolen from things that the zanpakutou cuts. Cutting a living thing absorbs a whole point of blood for storage while inanimate objects only store half a point. this leaves painful welts on living creatures and dissolves inanimate things into a dusty sand, which makes it look like time is passing at an enhanced rate creating the name. The zanpakutou can only store up to seven points of moisture in its blade.

Ability 3:
Kiri no Shukketsu no Mikaduki (Mist Bleeding Crescents) Tod uses the moisture he’s stored to attack with. He creates a red crescent shape from a slash of his blade and then looses it. It can cut through almost anything and travels ten feet before beginning to dissolve. How much moisture changes how much raw energy Tod has to use to use this attack. He needs at least one whole point of moisture stored up to use it. one moisture point makes this power cost 7% of his total rei. every extra moisture point after the first reduces the cost by 1% rei. The lowest this power can cost is 1% rei due to how many moisture points the sword can store. The attack stays at the same strength no matter how much he pays for it in blood and sweat, meaning moisture and rei. every time he uses this ability his moisture points go down based on how many moisture points he spent to use this power.

Dragan - Resubmit We see the edit for ability 1, and its a good start. But something to keep in mind: if you're going to get a significant buff to your move speed, its going to need at least a 3 round cool down. Reason being is we do not want people with 'get out of jail free' type abilities they can just spam.

Ganner - Approved with a change. We talked about this a bit and came to an amicable conclusion, basically, just alter ability 2 so it can only gain blood when cutting living things(summons and the like from kais count here). It'd be quire weird to get its effects for say, cutting a table in half, or a wall.

So, having decided to take a little break from Masato and bring in a new Orpher to mess around with for a while, I obviously needed a new Awakening. Since this Awakening is integral to the character, I wanted to make sure it was accepted before I fully switched over. Fair warning, it's verbose and probably more than a bit complicated. The core idea here is Summon kai, where each 'mode' of the summon has access to a different ability (weapon) and each ability uses cooldowns and has a dual cost in reiatsu and ammo to offset their largely double-barreled effects. With that explanation out of the way, here it is!

The Awakening

[Kaisen Karakuri] - 戦う カラクリ
“Battle Automation”

Visual
MechaCopy.jpg

Kaisen Karakuri, as it was dubbed by Rune, is not the name of his power, nor ability, but simply a term he has devised to describe his awakenings effect in it’s entirety. Named in homage to the nineteenth century puppets that share it’s moniker in part -- Kaisen Karakuri is the amalgamation of Rune’s innate control over technological gadgetry and his penchant for tinkering that has lead him to become an Orpheus field agent. In form, Kaisen Karakuri is a patchwork assemblage of parts salvaged by APACHE from the Order of the White Horse’s dreaded machinations that devastated Tokyo -- refitted and tuned into a more compact, streamlined, but equally absurd piece of technology. Through study of the mechanical assailants, Rune and his colleagues managed to partially reconstruct the baser framework of the Order’s weapons of war. While not resembling any of its former ‘compatriots’, and lacking both the advanced weaponry and power source of the ‘prototypes’, as Rune begrudgingly calls them, Kaisen Karakuri is a formidable machine in its own right. Still, as its namesake implies, the automation is but a shell -- a puppet. It’s true power is only revealed once Rune takes control.

By infusing his reiatsu into the machine, Rune gains total control over the automation, capable of directing it with a simple thought or gesture. The machine itself is the Advent’s ‘focus’ as well as an engineered, physical manifestation of his powers -- limiting his technopathic abilities to controlling Kaisen Karukari alone. Still, Rune rarely finds the need to interact with any machines beyond his trusted puppet; it is in essence a weapon of war -- and he, a solider.

Though he constantly tinkers with and tunes Kaisen Karakuri, Rune has left the machinations armaments mostly static. Equipped with various high-caliber Orpheus ordinance designed to Rune’s specifications, Kaisen Karakuri is well armed, to say the least.

Ability:

As stated, Rune’s ability is in essence, technopathy -- though his control is limited to the specially engineered machine he has constructed to do battle with. When activating Kaisen Karakuri, 20% of Rune's base reiatsu gets distributed among its stats. Next, Rune distributes the reiatsu bonus gained from True Awakening directly to the summon’s reiatsu along with 25% of his base reiatsu and is distributed among the stats as well. The distribution of reiatsu between stats can be altered depending on the current combat scenario; though Rune has classified each use with a specific designation to streamline tuning of specific components. Each permutation has access to one of the machines armaments -- with the equipped weapon changing depending on which variant is in use.

[Kaisen Karakuri Combat Model Alpha]
Combat: 70%
Resistance: 10%
Agility: 20%

[Zeisei-dan] - 脆性弾
“Brittle Bullet”

Reverse engineered from the powerful beam weaponry of Pale Horse, Zeisei-dan is a cut-down, but formidable variant of it’s predecessors Cero-like armament. Consisting of a long barrel with several reiatsu-channeling foils positioned along its body, Zeisei-dan is capable of firing a sustained beam of energy equal to 5% of Rune's reiatsu. In addition, the attacks output is increased with continuous fire -- gaining an additional 2% per use to a maximum of 15%. After five uses, the weapon must cool for one round before being used again. Each activation expends two rounds of any type from Rune’s inventory.

[Kaisen Karakuri Resistance Model Beta]
Combat: 20%
Resistance: 70%
Agility: 10%

[Gyaku Kaminari] - 逆雷
“Reverse Thunder”

Manufactured much in the same way as Orpheus’ “Resonance Shield”, Gyaku Kaminari consists of several powerful waveform emitters mounted on the machine’s shoulders. Using eight rounds of any type from Rune’s inventory as a catalyst, Kaisen Karakuri channels its energy through the spiritually-embued allow to create an ethereal dome of energy around itself. This dome costs Rune 10% of his reiatsu and creates a barrier capable of blocking half that amount, while reflecting the other half back at the attacker. Kaisen Karakuri cannot move while the barrier is active, and requires a two rounds to cool down before being able to activate the ability again.

[Kaisen Karakuri Agility Model Gamma]
Combat: 10%
Resistance: 20%
Agility: 70%

[Hyoumenkatou] - バスターソード
“Buster Sword”

Taking the form of a massive blade that adorns the machine’s right arm, Hyomenkatou is a force to be reckoned with. Far more than a simple knife, the weapon contains a clip and firing mechanism capable of shooting a high-caliber round deep into the blades core. When ‘fired’, the force of the round striking causes the blade to reverberate violently -- exponentially increasing its cutting power. In addition, the extreme pressure from this contained firing is vented in such a way as to thrust the machine forward with each swing -- pushing Kaisen Karakuri into a high-speed dash with each use, with each dash moves the machine a maximum of two meters. The ability costs Rune four rounds of any type from his inventory, as well as 2% of his reiatsu. After the consecutive uses, the blade must vent excess heat created from the firing -- leaving it unusable for one round.

Sev - Approved but we'd also like you to Resubmit because we want to buff this. Please feel free to talk to Shade or I to kick this up a notch. bAm.

notes: All the abilities can have the cooldowns removed: you've got two sacrifices in your writeup: cooldowns and bullet use, but don't have a gain from them. The way summons work, you get 2 abilities per slot used, and you can gain extra forms by spending a slot too. So, we can tweak this, with two abilities per form if set up right.

MASS RAGE EDIT: So Will has told me that his summon rules are absolute and the above is wrong. Edited kai to fit with those 8D;;

Alright! Changelog time!
  • Removed Cooldowns
  • Edited costs and effects.
  • Doing this like so; according to Summon Rules, Form takes 1 whole ability slot while each secondary ability takes half a slot. My two remaining slots are being split into 1 ability for each mode and 1 universal ability for the summon (across three modes) since technically I could make four and select 2. Instead I'm going to axe the selection for 1 constant, modest ability and the 3 good ones; 1 per form of course.

Payments for the summon are staying the same as above. 20% + an additional 25% + full bonus from True Awakening.

Values on some abilities may still need buffing, but I'll let you guys decide on that. Have at it.

[Jinsokuna Chousei] - 迅速な調整
“Quick Tune”

At Rune’s command, by expending 2% his reiatsu, Kaisen Karakuri can switch between its Alpha, Beta or Gamma modes one time per use. Jinsokuna Chousei may only be activated once per turn.

[Kaisen Karakuri Combat Model Alpha ]
Combat: 70%
Resistance: 10%
Agility: 20%

[Shikei] -死刑
“Death Penalty”

Never one to be out done -- especially by a prototype -- Rune has refined the rather slapdash beam weaponry of Pale Horse into its current form -- aptly named Shikei. Consisting of a long barrel with several reiatsu-channeling foils positioned along its body, Shikei is capable of firing thin shells energy equal to 2% of Rune's reiatsu. In addition, the attacks output is increased with continuous fire -- gaining an additional 2% per use to a maximum of 10%. After five uses, the weapon enters an overcharged state -- capable of firing one attack equal the the cumulative output of the ammo spent to activate Shikei. Each use of the ability expends two rounds of any type from Rune’s inventory.

[Kaisen Karakuri Resistance Model Beta]
Combat: 20%
Resistance: 70%
Agility: 10%

[Tetsushio] - 鉄潮
“Iron Tide”

Manufactured much in the same way as Orpheus’ Resonance Shield, Tetsushio consists of several powerful waveform emitters mounted on the machine’s shoulders. Using eight rounds of any type from Rune’s inventory as a catalyst, Kaisen Karakuri channels its energy through the spiritually-embed allow to create an ethereal dome of energy three meters around itself. This dome costs Rune 10% of his reiatsu and creates a barrier capable of blocking the same amount. In addition, the barrier passively gathers reiatsu equal to 10% of its Resistance stat from attacks received and feeds the energy back to anyone inside the shield. If multiple allies are within the shield's radius, the gathered reiatsu is split between them. Due to the physical strain on the chassis of the machine caused by the barrier, Kaisen Karakuri cannot move while this ability is active,

[Kaisen Karakuri Agility Model Gamma]
Combat: 10%
Resistance: 20%
Agility: 70%

[Hyoumenkatou] - 破壊 剣
“Buster Sword”

Taking the form of a massive blade that adorns the machine’s right arm, Hyomenkatou is a force to be reckoned with. Far more than a simple knife, the weapon contains a clip and firing mechanism capable of shooting a high-caliber round deep into the blades core. When ‘fired’, the force of the round striking causes the blade to reverberate violently -- exponentially increasing its cutting power. In addition, the extreme pressure from this contained firing is vented in such a way as to thrust the machine forward with each swing -- pushing Kaisen Karakuri into a high-speed dash with each use, with each dash moves the machine a maximum of one meter for every 1k in the machine’s Agility stat. The ability costs Rune four rounds of any type from his inventory, as well as 2% of his reiatsu.

(Sev note: May need buff)
