Release Submission Thread

kuno - oooh anansi the spider! approved~

baron - ummm it probably would have been more appropriate to do that in IM or PM. anyways, its best to go through the app process first and wait a while before submitting your kai, because 20,000 words later and with some experience under your belt you might feel differently about what that kai should be. as it is, i'd say its kind of weak - you've basically written it so that there's no way at all you can stand up to someone stronger than you, which isn't really necessary.

I'll start thinking up attacks after I get a response on this.

Zanpakutou: “Seikan” [Fearless]

Manifestation: Seikan resides in an inner world characterized by its melancholy air…it is essentially a long, infinitely spanning field of indigo grass that switches to shades of cyan as it sways in the wind under a blue moon. There is a black lake just visible several meters away, though its obsidian tinge gives it a sense of being made from ooze rather than water. The stars pulsate with a deep red light, fading in and out of existence in unison with one another. There is a bright constellation towards the horizon, but an area of black far darker than the night sky itself is at its core.

Seikan itself is a metaphorical amalgamation of Leon’s worst fears, personified in a rather monstrous figure: a giant mouth, disembodied and reduced to rotting flesh, chews perpetually upon a naked woman, the two of which seem to be suspended by some great, shadowy body that remains indiscernible. This large shade holds the constellation within its outline, and the darkness is where its heart would be. The woman’s eyes have long since rolled back in her head, leaving nothing but white, lifeless orbs to look at. Her flesh manages to continue regenerating as the mouth feeds upon her, and inscribed into her forehead in blood is the word “Meaning”. Whenever she speaks, a choir of voices resound through the lonely inner world of the 11th Division Captain, creating the impression of a multitude housed within a single body, and if you catch a glimpse into her mouth while she talks, you can perceive many small eyes glaring at you from within. She changes from beautiful to horrendous repeatedly, depending on how she catches the moonlight, though her teeth always remain yellow.

Shikai - “Yami wo Kainarasu, Seikan” Harness the darkness (lit. ‘tame the darkness’), Fearless

Form -

Having evolved from its previous properties in the past five hundred years, the Shikai of Seikan has become a precursor to Leon’s Bankai, giving a hint at the massive power to be unlocked later on. Unbeknownst to the Shinigami community, which praises those rarities who wield dual zanpakutou, Seikan actually materializes as seven different pieces of equipment, a release that does not involve any conceptual abilities and remains purely physical.

While uttering the release command, Leon smashes Seikan into the ground, fragmenting the entire sword into seven, each buried in the soil in a ring around the Captain. These are the seven “fangs” of Seikan that had originally manifested as spikes upon the gargantuan sword’s spine. Now, these seven fangs quickly take on the solidified shape of a blade unto themselves.

They are familiar to those who witnessed the original Seikan, but have no spikes upon their backs, for they are one of Seikan’s fangs…instead, the gargantuan swords wield a formidable girth in that they are almost seven feet long and nearly as wide as their master. Their hilts wrap around the tanka in a rectangular shape, depicting what appears to be the open maw of some beast. There is a slight curvature to the swords, and they bear a massively wild hamon, the undulations of which resemble a great ocean under a furious tempest. The steel composing the blades themselves shifts in color from indigo to cyan while in action, much like the grass within Leon’s inner world.

These swords make up the grunt of Leon’s attack, which focuses on close quarters.

Ability -
The blades can be retrieved on command if within 5 meters of reach, and will return to him at a speed equivalent to how fast he can swing his zanpakutou. Leon can only summon one back to him at a time, excluding the possibility of seven deadly projectiles hurtling through the air at once. He is, in essence, the gravitational center of his zanpakutou.

BankaiFuhen Taishokukan Seikan “Eternal Glutton Fearless”

Release -
Leon’s Bankai, like all other Bankais, is the physical manifestation of his zanpakutou on our plateau. Rumor has it that while the Captains headed the battle inside the Fortress of Hueco Mundo, Leon disposed of an army of 10,000 Hollows within three minutes using this fabled release.

The moment Leon activates Bankai, he will toss whatever blade he has on hand (whether it be the sealed, standard tachi of Seikan or one of the released fangs) into the air wildly, remaining in place while the sword flies up, then returns towards the ground, precariously threatening to hack him in half en route to the earth. The sword never actually wounds him, but the release ceremony is in line with the blade’s demands on its master’s fearlessness.

As soon as the sword has made contact with the soil, traditional Bankai activation occurs, and a cyclonic whirlwind of ash and dust envelope Leon from sight. When it has thoroughly cleared, the monstrosity that is Fuhen Taishokukan Seikan is revealed.

Form -
The seven fangs have all undergone transformations that relate to their “function” within Leon’s Bankai. The two most easily observed are the “Canines”, gargantuan towers of razor-sharp steel that can be directed at high speeds to completely devastate the area. They are roughly as tall as a five story building and as wide as a bus. They have been sanded on all sides so that being hit by any portion of the large blades will result in a flesh-wound, but nothing more can be done: the degree to which they have been sharpened ensures that cutting beneath the skin will result in the powderization of the metal, rendering the canines incapable of dealing death blows. Portions that have been destroyed by cutting too deep are replaced within a few seconds by Leon’s reiatsu (draining him of a minute fraction each time he must regenerate the lost sections…abusing this power will result in a guaranteed loss due to exhaustion). The canines themselves appear as grossly enlarged versions of the Shikai fangs with a porcupine-texture, though they have no hilts…instead, a tightly coiled rope of metal runs from the bases of both to conjoin at a single hilt in Leon’s left hand, which acts as the medium through which he can wield the canines.

Additionally, in between the conjoining point extends another blade, one of the two “Incisors” that Leon wields in his hands. This left incisor is long but thin, rather like a nodachi, and Leon must be careful to avoid injuring himself while manipulating the canines with the tripod hilt. In his right hand is the second incisor, which is even bigger than the original Shikai weapons: its edge is a full nine feet in length, and the central fuller that was present in the ancient Seikan has manifested in this sword, providing a unique core that allows for interesting sword techniques without costing structural integrity.

Furthermore, linked to the pommel of this right incisor are two more ropes of metal that run to the last pair of fangs, the “Molars”. These are only about a third the size of the canines, but still much larger than Leon. They do not hold the sharpened edge that the canines do…instead, they are big blocks of some foreign substance (similar to rubber) that are intended to act as shields against enemy attacks. This is because the physical requirements for giving a gargantuan sword like the canines a highly honed, razor-sharp cutting edge causes an inherently brittle temperament to form to attacks that are taken while stationary. Thus these molars fully block for Leon against large scale attacks up to 1.5 times his reiatsu-level in strength, but cannot be used for offense, as the material that composes them will simply absorb impacts that could be used to bludgeon the enemy.

All of these fangs share a color hue of indigo…they no longer shift to lighter shades of blue as they move. This unified tinge is not found in the seventh fang, the original form of which has been lost: Leon modified his Bankai to incorporate his father’s zanpakutou, Tasukeru, as the seventh and final fang. The legendary weapon looks as it did many years before, and occasional flickers of golden red can be seen dancing along its ridge. This is the “Wisdom Tooth”, which binds all of Leon’s attacks to the final portion of Fuhen Taishokukan Seikan’s form.

Lying behind Leon at all times is an ominous silhouette that contains pulsating, red stars within its vaguely defined shape (the border of this shadow is defined by strong, indigo incandescence). It is a mirror image of the constellation within Leon’s inner world, and just as expected, a hole of pure black lies near its heart, generating an eerie growl as it hovers in the air. This is Fuhen Taishokukan Seikan’s “Stomach”, which swallows all that has been chewed to satisfaction by its fangs.

Ability -
Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach is a powerful black-hole, though it possesses no event horizon…indeed, if any material enters the silhouette behind Leon, it will pass harmlessly through, including enemies. The stomach must be directed at a target, and this is done with the fangs: if an enemy is injured by Leon’s weapons, the vacuum of his Bankai’s stomach targets them. The power of the black hole is variable, relating directly to which weapon(s) have injured the opponent. The following chart lists the attributes of each fang type, including what they do in relation to the stomach:

A rough "shitty" depiction of the six unusually shaped fangs of Fuhen Taishokukan.

Molar – Defense only, incapable of harming anything. In the impossible odds that a Molar did harm something, it would have no effect in relation to the black hole.

Canines – Canines are strictly for offense only, and are very fragile under pressure dealt while they are stationary. They are incapable of killing anything, as their composition ensures that the material will break asunder and be powderized by any wounds dealt below skin level. Their primary purpose is preparing grunts for being sucked into the stomach: a wound from a Canine allows the black hole to suck in adversaries of 1/100th Leon’s reiatsu or less. Stronger foes will simply be suffering paper cuts and the annoyance of being blind sighted from the enormous weapons.

Incisors – Not suffering from an offense or defense focused disability, the two Incisors are able to kill and fend off attacks. Additionally, a wound dealt from an Incisor allows the black hole to suck in adversaries of 1/10th Leon’s reiatsu. Should the injured antagonist be stronger, the incisor wounds will be the equivalent to regular sword wounds.

Wisdom Tooth – The legendary zanpakutou “Tasukeru”, it is similar to the Incisors in that it holds the properties of a typical sword, but is unique in that wounds dealt by it can potentially suck in opponents of any strength.

Some obvious facets of the Bankai jump forward: the Canines, utilized against the Hollow hordes of 10,000 weak peons, gives an explanation to Leon’s rumored three minute victory in Hueco Mundo. The molars continue to follow their trend of practically no offensive use, their lack of effect being more a reassurance at the impossibility of dealing damage with one than an actually notable feature. Most importantly, however, is that the wisdom tooth, Tasukeru, clearly holds special properties: in essence, each blow dealt by the blade will increase the likelihood of the victim being devoured by Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach. The following chart gives the appropriate ratios:

1 Hit:: Capable of sucking in adversaries 1/5th of Leon’s reiatsu or less.
2 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries 1/4th of Leon’s reiatsu or less.
3 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries 1/3rd of Leon’s reiatsu or less.
4 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries 1/2 of Leon’s reiatsu or less.
5 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries equal to Leon’s reiatsu or less.
6 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries 1.5 times stronger than Leon’s reiatsu or less.
7 Hits:: Capable of sucking in adversaries of any strength.

Wielding Tasukeru at all compromises at least three other weapons, as Leon only has two hands…as such, Leon has to decide between the left Incisor and the right one before attacking an opponent with the Wisdom Tooth itself. This means that Leon only utilizes the sword against foes of substantial strength.

The moment Leon has landed sufficient damage and chooses to vacuum something in, the victim has already entered the black hole’s event horizon, ensuring that it cannot escape. To those not already within the event horizon, the image of the person as they last were before being trapped will remain, fading from view and growing more transparent as their real bodies are drawn closer to the hole’s core. The victim is spaghettified by the tidal forces and torn to thin, infinitely long strings that disappear into the stomach’s center. Because Seikan is a zanpakutou, the spiritual material that is devoured is not eradicated, but rather recycled through the sword itself, being “bled” back out of the great shadow in the form of radiation and ensuring that the cycle of souls is not displaced.

Antagonists that surpass Leon in reiatsu are not impervious to the effects of the black hole. It is still a construct that exerts a very real, very physical force upon the battlefield through its warping of space-time. It is the same as a sprinter dashing head on into a powerful wind, and so all foes that have not been sucked in but are still targeted by the stomach experience the sensation of tidal forces. This amounts to a 1% decrease in Zanjutsu, Hakuda, and Hohou (not Kidou, which is purely spiritual in nature and thus cannot be affected by physical impetuses) that gains another 1% per turn. This slow wearing away at the enemy's ability to fight caps at 15%, at which point the victim's bodies will have gotten used to the vacuuming.

The costs on Leon are severe…psychologically, the stomach of Fuhen Taishokukan is a death sentence that Leon does not like dealing out, and although the hole’s vacuum does not affect him or the people he chooses to protect directly, whenever something is sucked in, his Bankai’s stability becomes more and more compromised, so that taking in large amounts of souls or really powerful enemies guarantees a collapse. He cannot use Fuhen Taishokukan to train with others, because dealing out damage is a template for completely annihilation.

Despite these issues, Fuhen Taishokukan Seikan remains a terrifying Bankai, a killing machine that can be used against masses of enemies or a single, troublesome opponent to fatal effect.

始解 - 切命天道
Shi Kai - Setsumei Amaji
Initial Release - ‘Fate Cutter, Path Through the Heavens’

Setsumei Amaji is a Zanpakutou that breeds on chaos. While originally defined as evil and destructive (since chaos is associated with death), Setsumei Amaji’s abilities bring forth a new power; the ability to shatter the rules of the world and walk forward in a new path.

When releasing the Zanpakutou, Masato holds the sheathed sword in his left hand, horizontal to the ground, with the saya's kissaki facing the opponent with the cutting edge facing upwards, his hand gripping the sword just behind the koiguchi of the scabbard. Chanting the release phrase, Masato then pulls the sword out of its scabbard.

Form / Ability-

When released, Setsumei Amaji’s blade releases a brilliant light and changes its spiritual composition, developing pockets of ten’inseki, a spiritual compound the exact opposite of sekkiseki. The ten'inseki, which appear to be the same white-gold color of the blade but reflect a sparse amount of blue light, are concentrated around the mune of the sword. These reinforce the strength of Setsumei Amaji and grant an additional effect.

The innate properties of ten’inseki pull in spiritrons from the environment, creating a physical force that lags behind the sword when it is in movement, which Masato refers to as hakyuukouka, or ‘ripple effect’ (波及効果). This can be thought of as an intangible and invisible body of pure force that follows the sword’s exact movement, lagging a split-second behind the real sword.

The power of the force depends on the amount of spiritrons collected, which itself varies with Masato’s connection with his Zanpakutou; the base amount collected is roughly 25% of Masato’s strength, with it being lowered to 15% in low-density areas and 35% in high-density areas, with 5% added with every 500 connection. The maximum absorption rate is 100% per turn.

Depending on the strength of a spiritual-based entity, Masato is able to either weaken or completely absorb the energy behind the attack by striking it with Setsumei Amaji. The following table shows the effects of Setsumei Amaji on energy-based beings.

Either:
Attack Energy < 50% Masato’s Reiatsu -or- Attack Energy < 75% Hakyuukouka

At this level, Masato is able to absorb the entire projectile, and uses its reiatsu to boost the Hakyuukouka

Either:
50% Rei < Attack Energy < 150% Rei -or- 75% Hakyuu < Attack Energy < 150% Hakyuu

At this level, Masato is able to absorb up to 50% of the energy by striking it with Setsumei Amaji.

Either:
Attack Energy > 150% Masato’s Reiatsu -or- Attack Energy > 150% Hakyuukouka

At this level, Masato is only able to negligibly affect the energy of the projectile.

Note: The ‘either’ depicts two scenarios, the effect of the ability will be decided by a ‘best case’ scenario; whichever of the calculations yields a result more favorable to Masato will be used

Attack-

At any time, Masato may choose to use this attack, [ NANASHI ]. With the collected Hakyuukouka, Masato uses it not only to temporarily boost his physical prowess, but his speed as well.

By channeling 5% of his Reiatsu, Masato actively controls the Hakyuukouka for a brief span of time, and can use the assembled power to propel him forward at incredible power and speed, but cutting the opponent and moving past him in one motion. The amount of the Hakyuukouka used denotes the increase in speed and power, with the boost to the attacking power and speed being 1/5 of the % of the Hakyuukouka used.

Masato gains 1 ‘burst’ per 1,000 Connection, but in order to use multiple bursts, he must split the Hakyuukouka into however much he wishes to denote into each ‘burst’.

The Hakyuukouka used for propulsion is lost; thus, by using only partial amounts of his Hakyuukouka, Masato may keep himself armed in case the opponent does not fall immediately.

EDIT - Toned down the attack boost
EDIT - Super-toned down the attack

Shikai for new guy I'm creating:

Shikai

Name
Atlas

Manifestation
Atlas has no visible form or shape. When spoken to in the spirit world, his voice booms through it, as if pouring out of anything and everything that is encompassed inside of that world.

Release Command
Rage, Altas

Form
When released the blade goes from one of silver to one of complete black, that is said to grow darker as the user anger's grows. A heavy, barbed chain is wrapped around the blade with seven sharp spines sticking out at set intervals of the blade making it look a lot like a 7-branch sword. Because most of the blade is covered in chain, Daimon uses it more as a bludeoning weapon rather than a slashing one with the spines and barbs being used to inflict extra damage.

Ability
Pandora's Curse
When activated, the spines from Atlas extend to to look like mini-whips. The whips can then dig themselves into any non-fauna structure or element nearby. A mystic circle with a 20ft diameter will then appear below Daimon. The circle will allow Daimon to manipulate that element in the space of the circle, but only when Daimon is actively using it. When it is dormant it will simply return to the mystic circle form(however, anything left over from a prior attack will remain on-field if it affects the environment in anyway...like if Daimon made a big rock with the material it would stay in space). Daimon then has the ability to psionically manipulate that specific area as long as it is within his ability. Daimon cannot manipulate other people's shikai's however, yet if they change or manipulate the surroundings in any way, he can copy that change without interrupting their own move.

This moves cost 10% of Daimon's reiatsu to activate, and absorbs 1% of his reiatsu every turn it is active.

Shikai: Arkhangelsk

Form: Arkhangelsk transforms into a thin serpent two and a half meters long. When used as a melee weapon, Arkhangelsk has primary use as a staff, spear, whip, or flail. Its tail narrows to a sharp point, and its teeth are specially constructed for latching onto anything it bites into.

Ability: Arkhangelsk is capable of selectively hardening areas of scales on its body and slightly altering its shape to augment its multi-weapon capabilities. For example, if the latter half of the serpent's body flattened and hardened its vertexes, it would be usable as a longsword. If the serpent made its whole form rounded and hardened every inch of the weapon's surface, it would be usable as a staff.

Ability: The creature is fully capable of moving on its own in any medium. Speed is comparable to that of its wielder. The serpent possesses a limited intelligence, allowing to complete objectives given to it by Zhukov with a certain amount of efficiency, but cannot create its own priorities. Communication is made via the mental link between Shinigami and Zanpakutou.

Ability: Arkhangelsk becomes entirely invisible to the naked eye by bending light around itself. This ability consumes 1% of Zhukov's total Reiatsu for every round in which it is used.

Vizard Attack: A spray of toxins fired from the mouth or injected into the target's body while Arkhangelsk's jaws are clamped around it. Direct injection is roughly four times as effective as surface contact. As a result of injection, the target suffers systemic paralysis and short-circuiting of the nervous system, resulting in erratic spikes of pain all over the body and a general lack of control. Contact with the target's skin causes local paralysis, erratic pain spikes in the affected area, and a local lack of control. This attack consumes 5% Rage and generates 2% Emptiness.

Bankai: Tyemivoi Krushenie

Form: A Lovecraftian monstrosity that would need a cage the size of a football stadium. The creature has a head like an octopus, six reverse-articulated legs, and a pair of skeletal appendages bearing numerous writing tentacles at their tips sprouting out of its back. Hidden beneath the curling tendrils on the monster's face is a circular mouth full of serrated teeth. At the hind end of the monstrosity is trio of lithe tails half the length of the rest of the creature's body

Ability: Out of the basest components, the Tyemivoi Krushenie can convert nearly any substance into writhing masses of razor-dressed tentacles surrounding a gaping maw of saw blades. The prime Krushenie manifests such Krushenie-spawn at a rate of one per 10,000 Connection per Round. This ability is called "Substantiation" , and can be repeated nigh-on endlessly. These creatures feed on anything in the surroundings, and after a turn of feeding, one creature can create an additional monster. Each spawn is as tall as a man and even wider, though they lack "˜true' structure beyond tentacles and a mouth. If a spawnling is destroyed by melee damage, the Substantiation effect kicks in again, re-forming the creature in its original state at the cost of 700 Reiatsu per regeneration.

Attack: Sverdlovsk

Tyemivoi Krushenie pumps out spores at a constant rate. These spores continually plant themselves into the bodies of those within 100 meters of the creature, infesting all but the Krushenie-spawn and Zhukov himself. These spores convert the organic matter of those infected into absorption, conversion, and transmission organs, which manifest on the surface of the enemies' skin as gently waving stalks and crusts, like a miniature coral reef. These organs suck away the victims' Reiatsu at a rate of 3% of their total per round and transfer it to Tyemivoi Krushenie's reserves. Instead of being used by Zhukov, this energy is used to perpetuate the primary Krushenie's existence. For every 1,000 points absorbed, Tyemivoi Krushenie's manifestation duration extends by one round. This ability costs 1% of Zhukov's Reiatsu per Round.

uh editing the size of the attack so it's more... ban kai like.

Attack: [ Ishi no Sotsuu ] - "Agreement of Wills"
The armor of Sokugin is one with Rakushun, and through their bond and testament to their strong wills this form change can bend both of their physical bodies. This attack can stretch and elongate the armored limbs and body of Saika to a maximum of 45 feet, along with enlarging these attacking extremities up to the width of cars. However it is difficult using this attack in conjunction with solidifying the silver smoke, and in doing so it counts as one usage of solidfying smoke in a round. In other words he may use this attack three times maximum, or once and harden the smoke twice in a turn, for example. The cost is 1-3% Reiatsu for each usage.

shikai and bankai: approved with spaghettification

kish:

needs work, specifically in the area of reader-friendliness. Too many numbers and specialized terms (ten'inseki? kissaki? koiguchi? mune? huhhh?) make it very hard for a casual reader to go 'oh so thats what kish's kai does'. I'm not too sure about inventing a whole new element for the sake of your kai too. Its fine just to say your sword has such a property, rather than writing a new spiritual compound into our whole universe which for some reason our characters wont have any knowledge of (unless we happened to read your kai >___<)

The basic concepts might be fine but the extreme math-y ness means a lot of accounting during a fight, which might be an annoyance for an opponent who wants to keep track of things alongside you.

zenite3 (11:31:36 PM): reader friendly would be nice, you may want to point out that it would be disgracing the Shinigami style and an insult to quincys if he ever released in their presence

drag:

approved with some clarification. This sentence particularly is a bit confusing: The circle will allow Daimon to manipulate that element in the space of the circle, but only when Daimon is actively using it. When it is dormant it will simply return to the mystic circle form

The way we interpreted it, Daimon basically gains the ability to manipulate one specific element or one object (sand, ice, wood, stone, a teddy bear, whatever) within his 20 foot range, and outside that range it'll go back to normal. Such as a rock made out of sand will revert to sand if its thrown out of range, or water frozen into ice will melt back to water and fall to the ground. If thats correct then just clear up your description some, and if we're wrong please tell me so and resubmit it ^^

desu:

shikai: approved with changes - leave the cost for invisibility at 2% like it was before.. or, you can raise it to 3! maybe even 5? te possibilities are limitless.

bankai: you said you were adding more attacks and i'm pretty @___@ over what's already there so uhhh just submit it again when it's finished i guess.

kevin: approved + 100 bajillion cutie points ^O^

Umm, yeah...that's pretty much what it means. Daimon can't manipulate anything once it's out of the circle and he can't manipulate anything outside of the circle. You're also correct in that he can only manipulate one type of element or whatever at a time.

Bankai: Tyemivoi Krushenie

A mobile battle fortress Zhukov has only employed once, when the primary Vizard sect under the command of Areseika Ren crushed its largest rival shortly after the conclusion of the Mask War. In a single night, the stronghold of rogue Vizards was conclusively shattered, with only a single survivor which was spared to ensure that there were no other cells connected to the splinter sect. Not even the bodies of the other combatants were found, though large quantities of blood decorated nearly every room and hall. That survivor had been rendered mad by the night's events, and so Zhukov's most potent weapon was declared classified in the Army of Mask archives. Zhukov has kept the true name of his Bankai a secret, and the words "Tyemivoi Krushenie" were drawn from the survivor's ravings. Similarly, interim Overseer Areseika created a new category of weapon classification to describe a situation in which the Kai could conceivably be used: Zero Ally, Genocide. In short, a weapon practically useless in one-on-one duels, and even worse in battles in which Army of Mask elements have a numerical advantage. Kuragari Seisatsu declared the Kai the most worthless thing he'd heard of in a Bankai, though admitted he would enjoy blowing it up.

Form: A Lovecraftian monstrosity that would need a cage the size of a football stadium. The creature has a head like an octopus, six reverse-articulated legs, and a pair of skeletal appendages bearing numerous writing tentacles at their tips sprouting out of its back. Attack: Sutyagin

A modified neutron pulse generated at the cost of 10% of Zhukov's total Reiatsu. The pulse generates radiation that specifically targets organic structures not directly derived from Zhukov and Tyemivoi Krushenie, ie - Zhukov and the primary Krushenie and its spawn. Every other blob of organic matter within 50 meters is subject to dissolution by the wave. In addition, those beings infested with the Sverdlovsk pathogen suffer not only the melting of flesh caused by the neutron wave, but their nervous systems and internal organs are fried as the infected areas detonate in miniature neutron pulses.

Attack: Khalkhin

The Omni-directional firing of small spines from a single Krushenie-spawn. Each spine bears a small dose of the poison used in Arkhangelsk's Vizard attack, and causes local paralysis shortly after wounding the enemy. A single spine-launching is comparable to the detonation of a claymore mine. Each Krushenie-spawn can only fire spines once per regeneration, and each firing costs 1% of Zhukov's total Reiatsu per Krushenie-spawn engaged.

Vizard Attack: Novichok

A spore-bomb fired from Tyemivoi Krushenie's mouth at the cost of 30% Rage, 20% Reiatsu, and the generation of 15% Emptiness. The bomb can be fired linearly or in a curved arc, and is usually detonated some distance above the target. After detonation, all matter beneath the bomb's detonation and within twenty-five meters of the blast's origin is blanketed with a thick layer of spores. These spores degrade all matter to a nondescript gray goop, meaning within about a minute of the spore's detonation, the crater beneath the blast would be a lake twenty meters deep with uniform gray mush.

Attacks -
Vomitare NihilTo Vomit Nothing” – A product of Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach, this is an atypical beam attack that gains the benefit of counting as an additional hit from the wisdom tooth Tasukeru: the black hole, as aforementioned, leaks reiatsu that it has devoured slowly into the atmosphere due to its inherent properties as a zanpakutou. However, because of the length of time it takes for the reiatsu to be completely regurgitated, the stomach usually has a surplus of reiatsu stored within. Leon can forcefully cause the black hole to eject a large amount of this energy as a massive wave of indigo-black reiatsu, treated as your generic energy beam attack, extending a maximum range of about one hundred yards. Because the stomach is using the reiatsu from its victims as fuel, Leon himself doesn’t experience any drain past the costs of forcing the black hole to spew forth the reiatsu at a much greater rate than normal, which amounts to a 5% drain from his own reiatsu reservoir. The cost is small because the wave itself isn’t very powerful…indeed, it serves a more vital purpose than dealing-damage: because it is a direct assault from the stomach itself, damage sustained by foes from the Vomitare Nihil, as previously stated, counts as a hit from the wisdom tooth, Tasukeru. Thus, the true nature of Vomitare Nihil is as a mild, long-range attack that can be used for foes that are too wary of close-range combat with Leon to come within a distance effective for use of Tasukeru.

Os Voret SeThe Mouth Devours Itself” – One of the more precarious circumstances possible within Bankai for Leon is when he is matched an opponent equal to or stronger than he and he cannot afford to wield the plain Tasukeru alone against his foe. Because Leon must discard one or both of the incisors in order to utilize Tasukeru in combat, the risks are extensive in engaging the enemy as such. Leon follows strategies that minimize this last stage of the battle, such as injuring his adversary and then waiting for their body to be worn out by the tidal forces of Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach to maximize his efficiency in close quarters, but these are merely strategies, and can be countered by other effective plans. Os Voret Se is a circumstantial attack that takes place after Leon had lodged both incisors into the ground and begun battle with only Tasukeru: before Leon lets go of the incisors, he takes measure to have the canines and molars all fall within a very specific range, as illustrated here with an overhead point of view. If Leon occupies this space (which takes up a total of approximately 6000 square feet), he can activate the Os Voret Se. The attack itself is caused by the stomach’s vacuum…the six fangs are all sucked violently in towards the center and threaten to crush anyone within the designated area with their ferocious weight. Rather than collide, however, they are all sucked into Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach, a sacrificial play by Leon in the interest of dealing a large amount of damage in addition to dealing another blow that is treated as if it was given by Tasukeru: the large amount of mass sucked into the black hole generates a shell of powerful energy, a spherical ripple that expands viciously outward upon the devouring of the fangs. The bubble is, needless to say, omnidirectional and expands to a radius of 80 feet before dissipating. It cannot be wholly defended against by Kidou or zanpakutou abilities unless the user has twice as much reiatsu as Leon does. This move is usually used when absolutely necessary, as Leon cannot recover the other six fangs for the rest of his time spent in Bankai, leaving him with only Tasukeru to defend himself.

FidensWithout Fear” – This attack is the last to have been perfected by Leon due to the extremely dangerous risks that had to be risked in order to successfully test it. Because of the enormous jeopardy imposed on Leon when attempting to perfect it, it has been named Fidens, a reminder to Leon of his philosophy on fear and the necessity of its eradication. The premise is that Fuhen Taishokukan’s stomach, which keeps its event horizon wholly to itself unless it has a target, begins to warp space around it through its unique properties as a black hole. This warping of space-time occurs naturally from the moment the Bankai materializes, a product of both the black hole’s physical presence on the battlefield and the fact that the event horizon is closed off by Leon’s reiatsu, an unnatural inhibition. The distortion dimensionally has large ramifications for Leon, in that if he is willing to risk straining his body, he can take advantage of the warped space to move instantaneously to close-quarters combat. Warped space-time affects quantum mechanics in such a way that light speed, a physical constant, falls apart and the paradoxes associated with close-to-light-speed motion surface. Essentially, Leon will leap into close proximity to the stomach, and then use the distortion in the continuum to arrive at his opponent’s side, already preparing his next assault. This is on an entirely different level than shyunpo…the movement cannot be tracked because in terms of motion, Leon is arriving next to his opponent before the opponent had an opportunity to see him move to begin with. The consequences are large: biologically, undergoing intense physical forces, even those produced by one’s own reiatsu, are highly detrimental and will result in structural damage. Leon has trained enough times with the attack to ensure he can use it multiple times if necessary, but he suffers the forces enacting on his body as if they were injuries. For every 5,000 Connection and 500 Reiatsu, Leon can perform one Fidens. This means that Fidens is only to be used in the instances where Leon’s adversary is stalling out of reach and managing to avoid the Vomitare Nihil blasts.

If you think of the word 'Hakyuukouka' as the word 'collected force', it should be a snap to understand. Also, I took out the katana terms. I didn't take 'Hakyuukouka' out because it's plot-affecting.

When releasing the Zanpakutou, Masato holds the sheathed sword in his left hand, horizontal to the ground, with the scabbard's tip facing the opponent with the cutting edge facing downwards, his hand gripping the sword just behind the opening of the scabbard. Chanting the release phrase, Masato then pulls the sword out of its scabbard.

Form / Ability-

When released, Setsumei Amaji’s blade releases a brilliant light and changes its spiritual composition, becoming something similar to a 'magnet' for spiritrons. The magnetic property is facilitated by a circular reiatsu current within the sword, which strengthens and sharpens the edge of the sword.

The innate properties of Setsumei Amaji pull in spiritrons from the environment, creating a physical force that lags behind the sword when it is in movement, which Masato refers to as hakyuukouka, or ‘ripple effect’ (波及効果), which is simply a label for the force accumulated. In practice, this is nothing more than a 'shadow' that strikes the back of the sword when the sword suddenly stops, creating forward force for the sword itself. In reality, this is a 'stream' of electrons that follows the sword, with its own momenteum, attracted in by Setsumei Amaji.

Thus, if an opponent blocks a strike from Setsumei Amaji, the spiritron force will 'crash' into the back of the blade, creating a second strike a split-second later. Since the opponent will have completely blocked Setsumei Amaji's strike and will no doubt be attempting a counterattack, the 'second strike's timing makes it perilously lethal; there will be little to no resistant from the opponent, and the sword will crash forward into the opponent.

The power of the force depends on the amount of spiritrons collected, which itself varies with Masato’s connection with his Zanpakutou; the base amount collected is roughly 15% of Masato’s strength. This collection rate is lowered to 5% in low-density areas and 30% in high-density areas, with 5% added with every 500 connection. Mastery of this effect is reached at Ban Kai. Additionally, with every passing turn, 3% more is added to the strength of the Hakyuukouka.

Due to the nature of Setsumei Amaji's properties, energy-based attacks or beings are extremely susceptible to the blade's effects. If the Hakyuukouka is stronger than the attack's power, then the sword is able to envelop the force of the attack and add it to the Hakyuukouka. If the Hakyuukouka is not as strong as the attack, direct contact with the attack will reduce the attack's power by the Hakyuukouka's current strength.

Attack-

At any time, Masato may choose to use this attack, [ NANASHI ]. With the collected Hakyuukouka, Masato uses it not only to temporarily boost his physical prowess, but his speed as well.

By channeling 5% of his Reiatsu into Setsumei Amaji, Masato actively controls the Hakyuukouka for a brief span of time, and can use the assembled power to propel him forward at incredible power and speed, but cutting the opponent and moving past him in one motion.

The Hakyuukouka used for propulsion is lost; thus, by using the full of his available power, he leaves himself with no weapon for the following combat. Only by only partial amounts of his Hakyuukouka can Masato keep himself armed in case the opponent does not fall immediately.

Easy to follow equations for determining Hakyuukouka strength (in normal environment with no absorption):
Current Strength: ((((Connection/500) * .05) + .15) + (Masato's Turns * .03)) * Rei
Adjust the '.15' to '.05' or '.3' depending on location
Hakyuukouka strength will be communicated to the opponent in case this equation does not follow (i.e., attack absorption, use of shi kai attack) or upon request

Name: Asatsuyu Tenshi
-Morning Dew Heavenly Gift

Release Phrase: Amakudaru, Asatsuyu Tenshi
- Descend from Heaven, Morning Dew Heavenly Gift

Form:

Upon being released, Asatsuyu Tenshi retains that exact same appearance as it was in its sealed state. The only noticeable difference is that the kissaki itself seems to shine slightly brighter than usual and the zanpakutou as a whole seems to be much cleaner.

Note: Due to the lack of any drastic form change, Asatsuyu Tenshi may still be released while it is still in its saya.

Ability 1: [ Tenjin Hihyougan ] ”God and Man Critical Eye” - The legendary fighting style that had been passed down from Katuro’s sensei to him has burned within him even after his tragic death and entrance in the realm known as Soul Society. The fighting style itself calls for precision and an accurate prediction of what and how one would react to an opponent’s next move while also adapting to the move after that. The style itself is said to be created by some Guardian Angel of War, thus explaining its complexity and godlike precision. Asatsuyu Tenshi has an ability that allows Katsuro to not only ‘see’ his opponent’s moves, but also react accordingly to any attack or situation without hesitation; a trait men have thrived to achieve.

Upon Asatsuyu Tenshi’s release, unique threads of reiatsu are sent straight to Katsuro’s eyes, causing them to glow an even brighter gray, ultimately making him appear as if he is crying. Those reiatsu signatures sent to his eyes are almost untraceable, even to the most experienced shinigami. These threads allow Katsuro to actually ‘see’ his opponent’s moves in a slower motion than actually seen, thus allowing him to react accordingly. Due to the slightly slower speed of what he is seeing, Katsuro is also able to accurately predict his opponent’s next move, allowing him to act accordingly without hesitation. In addition to this, all sense of hesitation upon the execution of any move is immediately nullified, thus drastically increasing his accuracy of not only predicting, but also the severity of each blow.

Because of the nullification of any hesitation, Katsuro’s reflexes and speed are also drastically heightened due to this ability; ultimately giving him a 10% increase in hohou.

Due to the vast amount of concentration one needs to allow this ability to reach its maximum, Katsuro must decrease the flow of his kidou ryouku cells. Because of this, no Hadou may be used while this ability is in effect. This effect is activated upon the initial release of Asatsuyu Tenshi. It can not be de-activated and is not an optional ability to activate.

having made it through this one, i need a breather. I'll get on the rest a little later, sorry guys.

desu:

shikai - that was already approved as long as you made the changes, it didnt need to be resubmitted. ^^;

bankai -

form needs a more specific description on the monster's size and level of mobility. If it's walking around by itself and stuff... Football field size is like 360 feet long o___O. maybe like 80 feet long and 80 feet tall? A big huge bus is only about 40.

ability: cap the spawning to a max of 5 creatures per turn. Is the regen automatic (can zhukov choose whether the creatures should regen or not? needs to be defined). Also add more information on the capabilities of the spawned creatures- theres no indication of how fast or powerful they are, or how hard to destroy.

attack (svedlovsk): It seems like you're just copying 'withering presence' here, but with a way bigger radius and more benefit to yourself... that's 328 feet, vs' the 30 in withering presence. Cut it down to under 100 feet and give some idea of how the spores are going to interact with armor and such. They should also cease to function and die away/fall off once the infected person leaves that active area.

attack (sutyagin): this one kind of makes me want to barf. Erm, give some kind of scale on effectiveness or something and i'll consider it, but this seems a lot stronger than the average nuke attack.

attack (khalkhin): how small is "small"? how far do the spines shoot? how many are there? I don't even know what a claymore mine is. define that stuff and its ok.

vizard attack: also makes me want to barf, and lacks a scale of relative effectiveness. do you really need two attacks that turn people into goo...?

wind

approved with changes:

vimitare nihil - just give a number on the range of the attack.

os voret se - give the range in distance rather than square footage, so that it's easier to visualize.

fidens - add a cost in reiatsu per use. About 500 rei would be fine.

kish -

ability - drop the 4th and 5th paragraphs entirely. If you want to keep the attack absorption ability, it needs to be reworked and take up an ability slot of its own.

attack - I dont think you need that 'strength calculation' business at all. I'm sure you can keep the same concept while mechanically just using a flat boost to power and speed in your attack. I'd rather not see any equations with more than two steps.

Omnom - approved, but needs a few changes: remove the 'move prediction' aspect; the ability allows katsuro to see things as they're happening, but being able to predict what will happen (since you've already read your opponent's turn) jumps into godmoding territory. Separate the boost to hohou into its own ability slot.

Chanting the release phrase, Masato then pulls the sword out of its scabbard.

Form / Ability-

When released, Setsumei Amaji's blade releases a brilliant light and changes its spiritual composition, becoming something similar to a 'magnet' for spiritrons. The magnetic property is facilitated by a circular reiatsu current within the sword, which strengthens and sharpens the edge of the sword.

The innate properties of Setsumei Amaji pull in spiritrons from the environment, creating a physical force that lags behind the sword when it is in movement, which Masato refers to as hakyuukouka, or "˜ripple effect' (波及効果), which is simply a label for the force accumulated. In practice, this is nothing more than a 'shadow' that strikes the back of the sword when the sword suddenly stops, creating forward force for the sword itself. In reality, this is a 'stream' of electrons that follows the sword, with its own momentum, created by Setsumei Amaji's pull.

Masato can accelerate or decelelerate the force enough to manipulate the timing within a half second in order to use the ability to maximum effect.

The power of the force depends on the amount of spiritrons collected; the base amount collected is roughly 20% of Masato's strength per turn. The maximum amount of force that Setsumei Amaji can hold depends on Masato's connection with the blade, since the shinigami's Reiatsu keeps the energy at bay. Thus, the cap for the strength of the Hakyuukouka's strike is one tenth Masato's connection (this is mastered at Ban Kai).

Attack-

At any time, Masato may choose to use this attack, [ NANASHI ]. With the collected Hakyuukouka at his disposal, Masato uses it not only to temporarily boost his physical prowess, but his speed as well.

By channeling 500 Reiatsu into Setsumei Amaji, Masato actively controls the Hakyuukouka for a brief span of time, and can use the assembled power to propel him forward at incredible power and speed, both cutting the opponent and moving past him in one motion. Masato gains 1 "˜burst' per 1,000 Connection, but using another burst costs him an extra 250 Reiatsu.

SHIKAI

Name: Shuuraimaru
- Lightning Ring

Release Phrase: Kei yu zu Kuuchuu, Shuuraimaru
- Light up the Sky, Shuuraimaru

Manifestation: Shuuraimaru takes the form of a white furred arctic wolf, with yellow eyes.

Element Association: Lightning

Release Form: The cross guard of the blade changes from the spiral design to the open mouth of a wolf, with its eyes closed, and its fangs sticking out. The wolf's head is made of a light weight, smooth blue-ish, silver metal. Below the head of the wolf, is what would appear to be a tail with spiked ridges. The blade itself protrudes from the mouth, and reaches roughly 40" in length. The blade appears to have a few small indentations in it, but they are not actual holes in the blade itself.

The hilt of the blade has also changed drastically like the cross guard. the handle is now more rounded, and at the bottom of the hilt, two "spikes" curve upward, with a chain linked to the bottom center.

Picture of Zan

Ability
- Shinkeikaku Shadan (Neuron Interception)

This ability has Shinji gathering a portion of reiatsu into the blade of his zanpakutou, upon which the blade begins to glow a light blue.

If the blade makes contact with another's blade or similar weapon, it will cause and electrical current to travel down the blade and into their hand/hands causing the hand/s to go temporarily numb.
Effect: Causes -2% of Shinji's zanjutsu stat to the opponents zanjutsu stat.

If the strike from Shinji's blade causes bodily harm (i.e. a cut) the attack is slightly more effective, as it send an electric current through the person's body, thus interfering with the signals sent by the opponents neurons, slowing down their reaction time and attack power.
Effect: causes -10% of Shinji's zanjutsu stat to his opponents zanjutsu stat (lasting 1 to 2 turns depending on their reiatsu)

- If the opponents Reiatsu is less than, equal to, or more than 15% of Shinji's own Reiatsu, the effect lasts for one turn.

-If the opponents Reiatsu is less than Shinji's by 15% or more, the affect lasts for two turns.

-The attack does not stack.

- This ability comes into affect immediately after Shinji releases his Zanpakutou, and if he desires to keep it in effect, he must expend 2% of his reiatsu per turn that it is in effect.

Attack:
- Raitoningu Dokuga (Lightning Fang)

Shinji focuses reiatsu into his blade creating an aura around the blade making it appear as if the blade is actually a lightning bolt, glowing light blue, with small sparks jumping off of it.

Swinging the blade in an upward diagonal direction, a light blue shock wave is released from the blade, and travels either on the ground or in the air in a linear direction. The shock wave is roughly 3 feet long, and .5 feet wide.

The shock wave can travel up to 15 feet away from its initial launch point before it dissipates. The further away the shock wave gets from its initial launch point, the weaker it becomes, damage wise.

- currently Shinji can only create 1 shock wave but for every 2,000 connection he can create a one more shock wave in the shadow of the first up to a max of 3 shock waves. (the additional two can go in a different direction than the first, or can remain in its shadow. They still can only travel in a linear direction.)

- For every 3,000 connection the shock wave can travel an extra 5 feet, up to a max of 40 feet away form the initial point of launch.

- Each shock wave requires Shinji to expel 5% of his total reiatsu (if he produces three in one swing, the initial wave costs 5% reiatsu, and the two preceding cost 2% of his reiatsu.)

Vizard Attack
- Hageshi Sakeku (Tempest Burst)

Focusing his reiatsu, Shinji's reiatsu will form a spiraling pillar of reiatsu that appears to be lightning, light blue in color, and sparking.

- If Shinji is within 3 feet of his opponent while this is happening, the reiatsu will lash out, and strike them causing small lesions in the skin.

Lifting his zanpakutou, Shinji points it in the direction of his opponent upon uttering the name of the attack, five yellow, golden rings will appear in front of the blade, and expand outwards three feet. Once the rings have expanded, a blue cone-shaped beam reaching a total diameter of 8 feet. The closer the the beam is to the tip of Shinji's blade, the smaller the diameter of the beam is with its smallest diameter .5 feet (at the tip of the blade).

- The closer Shinji is to the opponent when the attack is launched, the more damage it does.

- the attack requires 10% of his Rage and generates 5% emptiness.

Name: Uraryuu (Reverse Flow)

Release: Ban Kai

Command: Kono yume wo tatakikowasu, Uraryuu (Tear this dream apart, Reverse Flow)

Form: In Ban Kai, Uraryuu is able to grow from its usual tanto length to become wakizashi or katana-length. The handle retains the white rayskin wrapping, and the image of waves is repeated in the steel at the base of the blade where it meets the hilt. The entire blade assumes an elegant curve in its overall shape, departing from the simple straight hilt and blade of its sealed tanto form.

Ability: As in shikai, wounds are reversed using Uraryuu's time ability. Upon activation, the moment in time when the injury/wound was inflicted is located. Once the event is located, Moira is able to affect that one minuscule point in time where the patient's body was attacked by defending them. Depending on how the injury was caused (zan/hak/kidou), if the attacker's zan/hak/kidou stat is 4x greater than her own, the wound will not heal. If their attack stat is 2x greater than her own, the wound will begin to knit together and heal at an accelerated rate. If their attack stat is equal to or less than Moira's own stats, the wound is healed instantly.

Attack 1:
Ketsurisetsu
Betrayal of Blood
When a cut is made in her opponent, their blood fuses with her blade. Upon fusion, Uraryuu can force their blood to move in reverse, causing her opponent to suffocate within several turns. Those who have a reiatsu 4x greater than Moira's reiatsu won't be affected. A foe with reiatsu 2x greater will suffer the effects of suffocation within 3 turns, and anyone equal to or less than Moira's combat stats will be incapacitated within 1 turn. After 3 turns, Moira's own blood would begin to be affected by this attack, and she would have to stop the use of this attack for the same number of turns it was used while waiting for her blood to return to normal

Shikai:

Kirema
“A rift in the clouds”

Form:

Kirema’s Sealed and Released states are identical.

Ability:

Asagumori
“A Cloudy Morning”

Manipulation of the opacity of objects. Aside from Kirema, Zhukov, and those objects imbued with his Reiatsu, this ability can only affect beings and objects which emit less than half of Zhukov’s current Reiatsu. This ability can affect any targetable substance with equal effectiveness (IE-Acid and Water can have their transparencies altered at the same rate). Additionally, all targetable substances can be affected to absolute transparency and opacity, provided the necessary Reiatsu is provided. The higher Zhukov’s Connection, the larger the volume that can be affected, the more opaque or transparent the affected area can become, and the cheaper the cost to manipulate the opacity of the target becomes. Due to the radically different range of possibilities, cost is defined per use. Maximum area of effect is roughly thirty meters.

Vizard Attack:

Natsuakari
“Summer Dawn”

Energy is gathered either at the tip of Zhukov’s hand or accompanying a sword slice and fired as a coherent beam. Effective range is twenty meters. This attack is colored by the user’s Reiatsu. Typically the burst is black tinged with red. Area of effect varies according to the target. Higher resistance focuses the burst into a more coherent ‘anti-armor’ penetration sort of effect, while a lower resistance causes the burst to spread itself out, dealing a much wider spread of damage with a somewhat more superficial level of intensity. Beam is composed entirely of light energy, and is subject to the mechanics of light. Cost per use is 10% Rage and 5% Reiatsu, and this ability generates 5% Emptiness.
