BAN KAI ATTACK:

[Valkyrie’s Cry]

In her full Valkyrie form Kanaduchi is a fearsome battle maiden, and like any warrior her battle cry is one that cannot be ignored, and at her full size such an amazing voice holds phenomenal power. As her armored wraithlike form draws in a deep breath a small vacuum is created and a silence is created in the wake, as if the God’s above are quieting all around in order to hear her voice. Simultaneously, before the release of her scream she forces Reiatsu into her throat in order to be released to empower the sound wave. (At a cost of 10% Atsuma’s rei.)

Without warning she then releases her howl towards the enemy in front of her, a voice unlike any other creates nothing but disarray and devastation before her. The sound pressure created is well beyond the threshold of pain, a literal distortion is created in the area directly in front of the wave her voice creates. The wave of sound and pressure is enough to pulverize those within close proximity (about 15 yards ) that are below 1/3 of Atsuma’s reiatsu. The wave is directional, meaning it travels straight and spreads outwards from wherever Kanaduchi is facing.

Those at equal level to Atsuma that are hit with the wave of sound experience a variety of effects. The hearing is the first to be assaulted by such a terrible yet beautiful shout, the eardrum no doubt rupturing and causing semi if not full lose of hearing. Secondly, their equilibrium is completely thrown off track, causing severe disorientation and nausea. Finally, the sound pressure hits them body like a near invisible truck, if not guarded against fully the pressure could shake one down to their bones causing them to crack and their blood vessels to split asunder throughout their body.

2x Atsuma’s level and above aren’t nearly as effect by the ridiculous force and can defend against it much easier, though escaping the damage to their ears and equilibrium is impossible.

(Damage to the body is limited to range, anything beyond 30 yards is completely unaffected by the pressure but damage to the ears isn’t escapable until at least 85 yards.)
 
Shikai

Name: Karil

Command: Utsushi dasu, Karil.

Appearance: The hilt of Sayis' zanpakuto takes on a dark grey hue, similar to his hair, and the handle becomes wrapped in fine chain. Although it lengthens noticeably to a size comfortable for two hands, the hilt is otherwise unremarkable.

The blade of Karil lengthens and the width increases to the size of Sayis' open palm. The blade, though strong, is spread quite thin. Despite the size of the hilt, the blade is still of a size easily handled by one hand.

One side of Karil's blade is completely transparent. The other side is a perfect mirror. The blade is, therefore, difficult to see under normal conditions, especially in motion.

Spirit: Moving between shadows, the zanpakuto spirit is often revealed only by the silver glow of his predatory eyes. Taking the form of a large black cat with dark grey stripes, Karil is one for stalking his prey. He speaks gruffly, but displays wisdom and intelligence.

Combining wits with skill helps in earning the spirit's respect. Planning and timing are just as important as improvisation and ferocity to the dark feline.

The black-furred tiger respects his enemies and rarely rushes blindly into any combat. Once battle is joined, however, Karil resents the idea of falling back. The patience during the hunt must be matched with viciousness during battle, so the cat believes, and so the cat expects of its wielder.

Zenhansha: If Sayis can bring the blade of his sword to bear, the mirrored side has the ability to reflect kidou and kidou-like abilities that strike it, by paying half the reiatsu cost of each attack. This is an angled deflection, however, so Sayis must be wary of where the reflected attack will end up.

The ability is of no use against indirect attacks, and of limited use against kidou-like abilities. If Sayis does not recognize the spell, he can attempt to guess at the reiatsu cost, but if he uses less than half of the cost, it will not be affected at all.

Kanzenhansha: While looking through the clear side of the blade, Sayis can attempt to learn more about a target. Karil can roam freely within the image held in the blade and can ascertain information about targets seen there, which is immediately relayed to his wielder. The longer Sayis can keep the target in sight within the boundaries of the blade, the more useful information Karil can obtain. If line of sight or concentration is broken at any time, the process starts over.

For one round, Karil might determine the target's name. For two rounds, the target's area of expertise might be revealed (for example, a zanjutsu specialist, or a high-speed hollow).

The difference in reiatsu between target and user affects how much information is obtained per round. Targets with reiatsu at least twice as much as Sayis' may actually sense that they are being watched.
 
Week 27


Seika - approved with changes: limit the distance the sword can move to 10 feet, with an additional foot for every 500 connection, maxing at 20.

lantern mouth rei leak- I can see where you're coming from with this at your current strength, but once you get much stronger it gets too crazy. so, change the leak caused from the mouths to be 2% of Hotate's reiatsu, and the leak should only last 3 rounds.

Name: Raijū "thunder animal" or "thunder beast"

Release Command: From Legend to Life, Raijū!

Manifestation: When Seraf first set eyes upon Raijū, he did not know his name. Therefor Raijū took the form of a decrepit old man, wrinkles covering his face, feeble and weak. But the eyes he could not change. Eyes that seemed to know all, eyes that seemed to be weighing him with scales.

Note:
Raijū has not changed form yet.


After Seraf managed to "relearn" Raijū's name, he is finally able to return to his "true" form which is in the shape of a larger cat (more of a lions size), a tanuki, a monkey, or a weasel. It's body mass it composed of compressed lighting and sometimes fire. His constant shifting body can become hard to handle, Seraf sometimes gets a queezy stomach from looking at Raijū too long.

Form:
Seraf's Zanpakutou Raijū takes on the form of an electric based Kusari-gama. The hilt is essentially the same, wrapped in ash gray fabric, the scythe portion is jet black metal, which reflect no light. The chain that drops from the hilt is shining silver, that extends to about fifteen feet in length, at the end of the chain is a heavy circular weight.

Abilities

Raijū is an electric based Kusari-gama, so therefor the chain that extends from the hilt is electrified. This is a constant ability. Naturally Seraf is immune to this shock, but an enemy who gets entangled is going to feel a slight numbing sensation, the chain would be hard to grasp.

The other ability that Raijū has is the ability to form sharp spikes on the chain when an enemy or opponent is entangled. This ability has to be audibly spoken in order for the ability to take place. The spikes would be an inch to two inches, at the expense of 1% of his Reiatsu. The spoken command is splinter.
 
Junshiko “Shield-bearer”

Release Command:
Sashi komu , Junshiko! (Shine, Junshiko!)

Manifestation: Junshiko’s spirit form is a small child who appears between 8 and 11 years of human age. The child is androgynous, with straight, black, shoulder-length hair, brown, weary eyes, and he/she wears a black robe with gold trim. Junshiko’s true gender is a mystery to everyone but him/herself and he/she always refers to Kuroshin as “sempai”.

Element: Aether

Shikai
Junshiko’s released form differs very little from its natural state, retaining its kodachi-like length and survival knife shape. The most noticeable difference is that the blade begins to glow with a bright golden hue, and wherever it moves, it leaves behind a trail of energy. Kuroshin has limited control over this energy, and Junshiko's techniques all revolve around that control.

Note: None of Junshiko's abilities may be used simultaneous, except for Wakai Taiyou, which will remain until used or destroyed.

“Shoku” (“Eclipse”)
For 5% of his total reiatsu, Kuroshin may use the energy left behind from Junshiko’s slash to form a 2-meter-tall, escutcheon-shaped shield. The shield may deflect only kidou or energy-based attacks whose cost is less than the reiatsu put into the shield. The shield has no effect on physical objects and strong energy attacks will completely shatter the shield, hitting their intended mark at full power. This ability only lasts a single turn, after which it will disappear, regardless of whether it had deflected an attack or not.


Attack 1 – “Wakai Taiyou” (“Small Sun”)

For 5% of his total reiatsu, Kuroshin may form a basketball-sized sphere with the energy left from Junshiko’s slash. The sphere will hover in the air indefinitely, but Kuroshin may signal it to attack an opponent, burning whatever it touches like a tiny sun. Kuroshin may create only three of these spheres at any one time, and may also be destroyed by an enemy through physical or kidou-based attacks.

Attack 2 – “Solarya” (“Sol Arrow”)
Expending 1% Reiatsu, Junshiko’s slash creates a projectile “dart” that is meant to pierce a target like a blade.

Vizard Attack – “Korona” (“Corona”)
Expending 10% Rage, 6% Reiatsu and gaining 5% Emptiness, Junshiko uses the energy from its slash to cause an explosion with a blast radius of about 2.5 meters. Kuroshin cannot be harmed by this explosion. The explosion may clash with other kidou-based abilities, but this type of explosion will cause Kuroshin damage equal to the difference of the two attacks’ reiatsu.
 
Nariko Tanaka - Advent Human

Phoenix Flame
Nariko's fury knows no bounds as her anger only fuels her ability to create her phoenix flame. Flames burst forth from her back, taking the form of a fiery bird. Its size and strength depend on how angry she is. It costs Nariko an initial 5% to produce the specialized flame and an additional 1% to maintain every turn. Nariko's angry, although fierce usually doesn't last overly long, and as her anger fades away, so does the phoenix.

Using arm movements, Nariko can command the flight of the phoenix. Physical sword attacks don't work on the phoenix since it will pass though the flames, not causing any damage. However the damage inflicted by it surpasses any of Nariko's other attacks. By controlling the phoenix her attack becomes more precise.

Flaming Army
Phoenix Flame isn't the only manifestation Nariko's flames can take on. For different purposes, Nariko can manipulate the flames into different things. Two of her more popular manifestations are the flock of flaming birds and the crawling mass of blazing snakes. Each has their own purposes. Unlike Phoenix Flame, this ability doesn't require Nariko to be angry although it does take time to manifest. Nariko must focus on creating these manifestations which takes her no less than two turns if she's completely focused on the task.

first off, cut down the wordiness. You're free to include all that backstory type stuff in your profile, but it's not so helpful in a submission ><

the first ability works in concept, but i think it needs to be de-number-ized somewhat. I'm not sure how you intend to 'value' attacks so precisely, because the majority of attacks in this RP don't have a set number attached to them. we don't use damage calcs here, so you need to pick a different way of interpreting what you can and can't block. 20% of a stat ends up being a pretty gigantic number down the road. Also considering 'all attacks'... it's a coating of reiatsu, but can't be physically cut. so I assume you're thinkingof something like Hierro O_O; maybe you should revise it as an armor against energy attacks or something like that, in which case those usually have a cost in reiatsu and you can base your blocking ability on that. kk

You should probably define Kiai, cause most ppl probably won't know wtf that is (I had to ask kevin, lol).


2nd ability- kind of weird; he screams and stuff comes out of his mouth and the ground is shiny and then there's a wave and it moves up to over his head and then its a cocoon and then it vanishes... urrr? haha, kay.

Cap the range at 30 feet and thats fine. But as I said, we don't use damage calcs here. Just describe the damage in a physical sense (isn't that much more useful to the person getting hit by it, than a number?) and offer a scale of effectiveness based on reiatsu. you know how those work, rite ^^

abilities: you need to elaborate on these a bit more.

For the first one, if you're going to have it as a constant you likely don't want a cost on it, so you need to describe the degree of the shock. Without a cost, it'll be a low level kind of shock - like not much stronger than a buzzer ring sort of thing, where it's hard to fight or hold on or anything, but it's not going to do serious damage.

Second ability- if you need to call out the attack to use it... give it a name? o_o yeah! alright, this is fine though. Just get a little more descriptive here, the size and extent of the spikes and so on. I'm picturing something like barbed wire, but who knows? If they're gonna be big giant spikes or whatever, then a cost would be needed per use.

third ability- needs a cost, a range, size, and description of the damage it does. way too vague!


Zeal: alright, looks like you went a lil nuts with the numbers here @______@. need work, alas. hmmm

First off, you've got a big huge ability stuck in your form change some how. If you read the guideline for kais you'll see that there's a system set for stat boosts. They cost an ability slot, and the max boost decreases by 5% for each additional ability the shikai has (not counting your vizard attack). If you want to boost your Kidou by 15%, then all three abilities have to go. not so great, huh?

first ability: the blocking is too high for this one, especially considering you have a full roster of abilities. if you want to deflect, it'll be attacks with a cost in Rei less than the cost you paid in Rei to create the shield.. connection doesn't have anything to do with this. Also needs a time limit in turns. As well, since your abilities/attacks are all using the same energy, you need to specify that they can't be used simultaneously.

second ability: 25% kidou stat in damage makes no sense, and just no. the level of damage is related to the amount you pay in rei, which has nothing at all to do with your kidou stat. Also, 8 is quite high for a Shikai attack... most don't go higher than 5. rather than giving a number to describe the damage, describe what it will actually do. does it explode..? sear through stuff..? laser beeeam? wot? bounce off their head? Also, limit the number of spheres that can be in play at any time to 3.


third ability: once again, this damage w/ kidou stat stuff. nah! since you already said that it pierces the target like a blade, the damage it does is... physical, the kind of damage you get from being pierced by a blade. haha. so just drop the damage calc thing and it's fine.


vizard attack: this one's fine, you might want to up the rage cost to 10% though cause that's an easier number to keep track of, and for a vizard, spending rage = good. haha.

Sorry about the kidou stat and numbers-based calculations, Louhi. I've gone ahead and changed everything according to your suggestions. Also, I never intended for him to be able to use more than one of these attacks at once, except for Wakai Taiyou, but in hopes of balancing that, I also added a new drawback (enemies can destroy them).

Ikkitousen / 一騎当千

Heightened state of mind and body occurring due to the release of Takanori's spiritual power in an awakened form, Ikkitousen is characterized by an unsurpassed amount of wind spiraling around the young man's figure. This coats his every attack, as well as providing an opposition to attacks aimed at him.​

Tokugi: Kirikuzusu
Shaping the wind around him into sharp blades of compressed pressure, Takanori greatly heightens the damage that his every move incurs against the opposition. By pressurizing amounts of wind around his fists and legs, he not only augments the force behind his attacks, but also adds a cutting ability to all of them. The mastery of this skill is such that "" once he knows how to use it properly "" Takanori can even cause localized "˜explosions', by compressing air within his palm and crushing it at point blank range.​

The second property of Takanori's release deals with the defense aspects of his being. By "˜wrapping' spiritual based attacks aimed at him with the wind of his awakening, the young man causes their extinguishment via the appliance of his own spiritual power as canceller. The conditions are minimum, but important nonetheless.
- He can only cancel attacks of beings with reiatsu equal or smaller than half of his own. Those attacks are completely negated and extinguished on the spot.

- Beings with reiatsu higher than half until equaling his own have their attacks not extinguished, but considerably slowed down, allowing the young man a "˜window' of opportunity to dodge them.

- Opponents with reiatsu higher than his but lower than double have their attacks mildly slowed down, opening a small window to dodge, though in this case its used to prepare for the impact instead of dodging.

- Those that possess reiatsu higher than double of his can completely disregard the effects of this special technique.
The two final conditions for the ability to be used refer to the cost and the actual usage range. Takanori can only cancel attacks that he can "˜see' with his eyes or "" somehow "" perceive with his mind (with the former much more reliable than the later, mind you), as well as having to pay an amount of spiritual power equal to that used by his foe.

It is of notice that he can use higher amounts in an attempt to "˜bypass' the limitations of his current technique, however, this only results in the burning of unnecessary amounts of reiatsu during said occasions. Needless to say that in order for him to successfully cancel the incoming attack, Takanori must display an unusual ability to discern the amount of reiatsu used, turning this ability into one that requires a huge amount of reiatsu reading expertise, as well as quick paced thinking procedures.​
 
Balmung​

The Legendary Blade

In the palm of your hand sits the power of the heavens. Spin on, Balmung!

Shikai

After uttering the phrase, Balmung will be freed from his entrapment as a simple sword and ascend to a pair of chakrams. His form will split in half, rounding out and widening until either half has flatlined at a diameter of 12 Inches. A sharpened circlet outlines either weapon, adorned by three small coils on the inner circle, all pointing inward. Four small slits exist across the floating rings--two on either side of the circlet, with a second set to match on the other end; within these tiny holes exist one large serrated triangular blade each, which will extend beyond the initial circlet whenever deployed, and can be deployed or retracted at any time. Both floating weapons are coated with red and gray paint, accompanied by the silver blades.

Senshi no Ishi -- Warrior's Will

An innate ability, which costs no reiatsu, and comes hand-in-hand with Balmung’s release. At all times, both chakrams will hover and float, responding to the wielder’s every whim and thought. The only limits to their movement pattern is the wielder’s imagination, and a fifteen foot radius, beyond which they cannot be manipulated. Due to this ability, the damage and wielding proficiency will be dependent on the wielder’s kidou skill, rather than zanjutsu. Any and all commands are issued mentally, which include anything from movement to switching out the four blades.

Oni No Michi -- Path of the Demon

This ability centers around the use of kidou. Firstly, Hadou—by aligning the chakrams, the wielder will be able to bolster the effect of any Hadou spell so long as it makes it through both rings. This will not increase the cost, but in order for this to be successful, the incantation must be spoken regardless of the wielder’s kidou skill. Alternatively, the cost may affix to this ability in order to home in any kidou spell to the target. This is accomplished by placing either chakram on either side of the intended target. The reiatsu paid will cause the chakrams to emit a special pulse that pulls in/attracts kidou spells in the same fashion that a magnet pulls in metal. In order for either ability to be successful, the chakrams must be correctly aligned at the time of the kidou’s casting.

Shino Kaiten -- Spinning Death

Although this is more of an offensive-style ability, it is considered an attack due to its aggressive nature. After paying a small amount of reiatsu, all four blades that hide within the chakrams’ shell will deploy, and begin to spin at high speeds, effectively creating a buzz saw effect. There is, essentially, no difference in Balmung’s performance while this is active, and it can be deactivated at any time.

ok well, i have decided that i want to resubmit a new shikai because well, Kusari-Gama's are really cool and all, but i seem to have fallen in love with the idea of just a plain old scythe. So here goes.

Form: Seraf's Zanpakutou Raijū takes on the form of an electric based crescent scythe. It is about seven feet in length, the blades on each end are three feet long and six inches wide starting from the top/bottom of the pole narrowing to a thin point at the end. The shaft is a deep black that has in various spots pale white jagged lines are etched deep into the light steel. The blades are typical half moon shapes, with the top half black, whilst the bottom is a pale white as well. It is light weight so it isn't cumbersome, yet the steel is extremely durable.

By pulling and twisting the middle of the shaft, the scythe will separate into two halves, each as a usable hand scythe.

While in combat, the longer Seraf has his shikai released, the more energy is collected within the scythe. Once there is enough energy gathered, Seraf is able to unleash a blast of condensed reiatsu at the enemy in the form of a blazing jagged bolt of lightening. This has an attack range of 15 ft in any given direction. For the cost of 5% of his reiatsu he can use this attack, the max amount of times he can use this is three.

Shikai

After the careful recitation of the command phrase, Liber Venefici will cause the leather handle to extend and widen, covering the entirety of the blade itself and using it as a spine. Immediately, Liber Venefici will take the form of a large, brown, leather-bound book. The front outside cover reads “Deus Ex Indoles”, which roughly means “God in Genius”. The pages within are white, while slightly burnt at the edges and the sides. A countless amount of incoherent characters exist throughout the book, as well as flourished artwork depicting a number of different creatures and figures. Held in Keiji’s hands, the book can perhaps block out most of his head and some of his chest.

Arcesso Faber: Orcus
Summoning Skill: Orcus

Liber Venefici’s only ability [currently] is essentially what makes it dangerous in the right hands, and the right hands just happen to be Keiji’s. By calling out the warrior’s name and paying the stat cost, a warrior chronicled within the book will be summoned to the field. Keiji will not have any control over this beast beyond verbal commands, and therefore, it will act of its own volition. Its skills, overall, will depend directly on Keiji’s Kidou. This beast will be given a fraction of Keiji’s Kidou ability, which it will be able to distribute among its skills as it’s seen fit once every week. After this is done, it is irreversible until one week has passed. When this beast is summoned, a fraction will be deducted from Keiji’s kidou statistic and it will remain permanently reduced until the creature is banished; at any time, Keiji may banish the beast regardless of its will at any time. Orcus will automatically vanish, however, when he runs out of reiatsu; in these situations, Keiji must pay the full cost of Orcus' reiatsu as well as the stat cost in order to summon him once again, and thusly can only summon him "for free" once per battle. This warrior will not be limited to physical attacks, although Keiji is still able to cast the occasional Bakudo to boost its strength if necessary. The creature, of course, is vulnerable and operates the same way a regular warrior does in terms of reiatsu being the Hit Point statistic. In this same vein, the fact that it is able to compress reiatsu into projectile energy operates on its own reiatsu, and not Keiji’s. A small branch of this ability is Orcus’ innate ability to create Zangeki of varying shapes.

Release: Shikai (currently unnamed >_>;; )

Form: Upon release, [insert zanpakutou name] becomes a set of black bracers that covers from Makoto’s hands up to about his elbow. On the backs of Makoto’s hands, the bracers are reinforced with curved, blackened steel bars.

Ability 1: The above mentioned steel bars serve as conduits meant for the funneling reiatsu into the user’s hands, and through Makoto’s bond with [insert zanpakutou name], they regulate this reiatsu enabling the user to create precision blades of golden reiatsu at his finger tips. The length and thickness of these blades can be controlled at will by the user, though for best results the blades should not exceed a few inches in length. Though [insert ability name] primarily directs reiatsu precisely through the fingers, it also exudes a very thin layer of reiatsu throughout the entirety of the bracers that keep them sterile. As a result, this ability is highly useful in emergency field operations where the use of full surgical equipment may not be entirely convenient or possible.
Cost: 3% to reiatsu per round.

Ability 2: The primary function of [insert zanpakutou name] is aid. However, in the rare event that it is necessary for a healer such as Makoto to be drawn into a combat situation, [insert zanpakutou name] can change the rate and manner in which reiatsu flows through the bracers on Makoto’s arms. By upping the original cost for [insert ability 1 name] to 5% reiatsu per round, Makoto can direct an increased amount of reiatsu into his hands and form it into a set of large, razor sharp claws that can be used to slash at an opponent. Used in combination with the feat “Unarmed Resistance”, the claws may parry an attacking zanpakutou at no additional cost. These claws can be used as easily as Makoto’s own hands, meaning they may be used to do anything that Makoto’s given hands can do, lending perfectly to Makoto’s preference of empty handed combat.

Release: Unveil the eternal, Essential!

Form: Upon shikai release, the long sword held in Kyuu's hands dissolves away in an outpouring of disruptive spiritual pressure. Much like the universe has matter and dark matter, so does Essential apply the principle of opposites to spiritual pressure. The blade appears to be an engulfing mass of non-perception, an illusion of darkness that is in reality a consumptive field. Licking tendrils of this consumptive reiatsu peel along the wielders body during release. Those near the release likely feel slight disorientation and a disconnected feeling (this is merely a topical effect, it causes no debilitation.) Because of its energy-based state, Essential is *not* able to parry physical attacks in this state. The amount of damage the blade causes when it strikes is unchanged, though the nature of the damage is different. Enemies struck will feel fatigue, numbness, and disjunction in the area struck rather then physical lacerations, as the blade will seem to pass right through them. Thusly, if Kyuu brought Essential cleanly through an opponents arm, the subjected area would fall numb, and the opponent would be unable to react, just as if it had been hit by a strong cut from a zanpakutou.

Much like a normal zanpakutou, this anti-reiatsu effect has varying effects, based on the opponents level of power in respect to Kyuu's. For opponents ½ or lesser power of Kyuu, the released essential would actually cleanly server and evaporate any spiritual material it contacted with. Thusly, the blade cuts through inorganic/powerless spiritons with no resitance (think a lightsaber through standard material). For spiritual matter ½ to 1 and ½ times as powerful as Kyuu the release acts as described. Strikes cause numbness and loss functionality, depending on the severity of the contact. For enemies greater in strength then 1 and ½ times Kyuu's reiatsu, the zanpakutou's released state has minor numbing effects, experiencing great resistance, just as an zanpakutou's edged is dulled by greater spiritual pressure and may not be able to cut.


Ability: Theft of Vitae
When an enemy is struck by Essential in its shikai state, their vitality is harnessed to further Kyuu's ambitions. Whenever essential deals damage (which is exactly like that of a normal zanjutsu blow) Kyuu may elect to steal an amount of reiatsu equal to the damage done to the enemy. This reiatsu may then be used in only one of three ways.

Kyuu may use the reiatsu to fuel his own personal power, adding to his reiatsu the amount stolen. He may not exceed his normal maximum reiatsu when using this form of the ability. Any excess reiatsu stolen and used in this manner is simply burned off. If Kyuu elects to use reiatsu in this manner, any wounds garnered are temporarily sealed off by the overflowing reiatsu that surges through him (simular to how Zengetsu seals off Ichigo's wounds). New wounds acquired after the theft are not sealed off, however, nor do the old ones heal. They are simply temporarily sealed and further hampering to Kyuu is abated. This effect ends when the weapon is re-sealed or Kyuu dies or looses consciousness.

Kyuu might elect to otherwise harness the reiatsu to replenish his kidou threshold. If reiatsu is stolen for this purpose, Kyuu may not increase his threshold past his standard maximum. Otherwise he may spend the threshold on kidou normally.

Lastly, Kyuu may elect to use the reiatsu to temporarily increase his own performance. For every 500 reiatsu stolen, Kyuu may increase a single stat by 5%, to a maximum of 10% boost for one turn if he steals 1000 reiatsu.

Raikotsuken appears as a skeletal horse with medieval armor that stands at 7 feet tall. An electric field seems to surround him as sparks fly from the bones, making a crackling noise and his eyes glow red with fire as smoke drizzles from his mouth. His voice is deep (Think James Earl Jones / Darth Vader) and always seems straight to the point, never wanting to waste any time to worry about small talk. He always seems to want battles to end quickly and gets impatient when Spike plans his attacks beforehand, which results in more crackling from the zanpakutou.

[Release Form]
Upon the release command, the blade seems to start to absorb the black color on it and starts to change into a curved shape. As it starts it's transformation, another blade starts to extend down from the bottom of the grip, mirroring the top halfs transformation as it does. Raikotsuken's released form has two 12 inch curved blades that are no longer black but steel in color. The grip is made from what seems to be a little over two vertabra from some sort of animal spine. Like the physical manifestation, an electric field surrounds the blade, making crackling noises as sparks envelop and fly from the blade. Upon the command, "Separate Raikotsuken", The two blades separate at the middle of the handle and have a 5 foot chain that keeps them attached to each other.

[Ability 1]
Shuu Kaminari (Lightning Strike):
At the cost of 5% reiatsu, Spike can fire a concentrated bolt of electricity from the tip of Raikotsuken at his opponents. This bolt of electricity is superheated due to the friction of the atoms flying around, and travels very fast making it slightly hard to dodge. If the opponent is less than 1/2 of Spike's total rei, the blast may cause moderate to severe burns and can cause unconciousness and/or seizures depending on the placement of the hit. If they are between 1/2 and Spike's current total rei, it may cause slight to moderate burns and can cause a numbing effect or a slight dizziness in the area hit. If the opponent is at or up to 1 1/2 Spike's total rei, it may cause slight burns and a tingling sensation in the affected area.

[Ability 2]
Jikai (Magnetic Field):
At the cost of 1 rei per pound (165 pound Spike would cost 165 Rei), a magnetic field can be formed around the wielder or an object (this object must have some metal in its structure), using the properties of electrifying the ions in the air, thus manipulating them (This magnetic field starts at 5 ft in circumference and gains 5ft per 1000 connection). The matter being manipulated by the electricity becomes lighter than the air and allows it to hover off the ground. These items can also be propelled through the air at the cost of 50 rei per 5 feet of movement and can only travel at a speed of 10 miles per hour or less. (This ability cannot affect any zanpakutou at all). Also an additonal 50 rei must be paid for objects already in motion. (Example: a knife being thrown at him)

[Ability 3]
Separate:
By using the command "Separate, Raikotsuken", a thin seam appears in the middle of the weapon's handle and the two blades are pulled apart but are still connected by a 5 foot long chain attached at the base of each handle. This chain has all the same properties of the blade so it also electrocutes whatever it touches.

Shi Kai

Release Phrase: Hypnotic echoes of the soul, Rourouaika!

Form
At the call of its release phrase Rououaika bursts into a glow of iridescent light that mimics its sealed form. Odd whistling of various pitches sings in the area about Mifueko as this process takes place. The initial burst of light starts to oscillate instantaneously, its colour muting from the searing white to a silvery glow and ripples into a new shape. This new form is revealed, after one final burst of blinding light, or be that of a Piccolo. The tiny silver instrument is adorned with intricate calligraphy of flowers, leaves and dancing Geisha that seem to move with every note the instrument utters.

Ability (Static)
With an instrument of sound at her command, Mifueko now has to ability to affectively interfere with the bond between her opponent and their zanpakutou's kai. At the play of a tune that is a set amount of notes long, an opponents directly offensive abilities will miss Mifueko. The does not include direct physical attacks or passive abilities. The effect of the song can last up to a maximum of 3 minutes.

At a cost of 20 reiastu per note, the tune lengthed can be determined like this:

Connection less than Mifueko's = 3 notes
Connection equal to or <5000 above Mifueko's = 6 notes
Connection >5000 above Mifueko's = 9 notes

Ability (Summons)
By utilising the abilities of sound vibrations, and by using a certain pitch of sound from her transformed zanpakutou, Mifueko can excite the air into compressing and forming a certain weapon depending on the pitch used. The note used to create the weapon continues on in one continuous cycle. Her zanpakutou becomes the handle of the sound weapon of her choice and until she dispels the tune, she cannot play anything else. Being made of compressed air, the weapons she summons are invisible, though can be roughly tracked by the volume of the note that creates them.

Mifueko learns the note to summon a new weapon at every 1000 connection she has:

Connection 1000 = Katana
Connection 2000 = Axe
Connection 3000 = Spear
Connection 4000 = Bow
Connection 5000 = Cat o' Nine Tails

Each summons costs an initial 50 reiatsu with a cost of 20 reiatsu per turn.

it looks alright to me on paper, but since this kai steps out of the bounds of the usual kind of thing, there may still be some kinks to work out. You're free to use it like this and test it out, but i'll be watchin when you bring it into a fight and so on to see how things go. I'm a little leery of the 'infinite form' aspect of it.

the only thing I want changed is the cost. the 300 per round thing doesnt really make sense to me. This might work out more to your benefit anyway. You get one 'free' summoning (paid for by your kidou stat getting drained). Your monster can then stick around until it's defeated, banished by you, or has blown through all of its rei. When the creature is gone, you get your kidou stat back of course, but in order to summon again, you have to pay the full cost of the summon's reiatsu with your reiatsu (along with the 75% of your kidou stat). This is a 'per battle' deal, so re-sealing and releasing again won't get you another free summon. kk

costs way too much :P scratch the cost per round for ability 1, maybe just a single payment of 2% to initially create the blades. Same for ability 2 - either lower the per round cost or make it a single payment.

Van - sadfhjhdfglakjdf. I tried but I can't really deal with going through this one again right now. I feel like it does too much stuff for a single ability (there seems to be abilities all mashed in with the form, too), and it's problematic because theres no actual way to determine the amount of rei damage done by a sword strike.

Ability 2 - define the range of the magnetic field as 5 feet per 1000 connection. Specify that it can't be used at all on zanpakutou, and add an extra cost of 50 rei to affect objects that are already in motion (a knife being thrown at you, for example)
