Time Lady Katie
The Lily Girl
[10th/10th] Week ---: Round Three: Adele Pierce versus Annika Reynolds
The cascading of a distant waterfall joined the chorus of life near the babbling rapids of the Amazon. Life fought for its place in the order of things all around, from frogs eating flies to more exotic creatures, like giant snakes or hostile fish, brawling over life and territory in the often unkind arena of natural selection. Judgment in the jungle is swift, and the weak are seldom forgiven. One of the unlikelier instances of animals vying for their place in the cosmic balance of rainforest ecology was about to unfold: the struggle of the domestic cat and the mentally unbalanced fox was certainly a spectacle even in a corner of the earth as unknown and unforgiving as the Amazon.
Annika’s tail swished to create a gentle breeze in the humid air. What a horrible place this was! No people, no art, just heat and it really needed to just rain and get its melodramatic humidity over with. It was called a ‘rainforest’, not a ‘humidforest’, after all. She tilted back her head and rested it on a tree, her kitsune ears twitching atop her rusty auburn head.
Suited to the weather, she wore shorts and a top that left her midriff bare, and her pale American Northwesterner skin glistened with a sheen of sweat. She had let Mystery Man talk her into this tournament, and she thought it was a good way to learn more about the people the next volume of her manga was going to explore – she wanted to write about shinigami after that redhead’s green light defeated a horrible Wraith on Mount Fuji. But all she knew about these people was that Mister Fuku didn’t like them and Mystery Man was nervous around them. She’d only met a couple and one had been a scardy-cat green-haired boy with a drab style of dress.
Had she known that the weather was going to be so unkind, she might’ve just found a nice mixer instead. They must’ve had them, right? Since they all seemed to know one another. It made her fox ears droop – she didn’t really know anyone. Even Mystery Man Zakki wasn’t exactly a friend, and she hadn’t heard from Mister Fuku in so long! So lonesome... she needed more friends.

Dense undergrowth covers and monolithic trees tower above. The air is heavy, humid and fully saturated with water. Sudden rain-bursts common, drenching the location with several inches of water within seconds before fading. The terrain is unsteady, with large boulders and uneven cliffs forming the landscape. An immense waterfall created by the Amazon River cascades near the center of the arena.
I'll post stats once Annika's Awakening is retooled for current AH mechanics. In the meantime, this is a picture showing Annika's current age, and this is the picture of Annika that her appearance is based upon.
