Mango Queen
Hey everyone, the roots of the 2014 PMs are sprouting now! When they come to full bloom is still up for debate, but for a good PM (and one that doesn't last all year) the foundation should be built before PMs actually begin. If you are interested in playing a future role, I encourage you to take part in this monthly game.
How to Play:
Suggestions for Selecting a Character:
What is the premise of the upcoming PMs?
Lawl, I'm not even telling Sev all the details. So... Haha, enjoy the dark. I will say that as more and more characters are selected, the premise will become more clear.
How to Play:
- Volunteer one to three characters
Choose characters that you’re okay with the possibility of a GM (me) temporarily making major decisions on. If chosen, I will not actually RP this character, but with the help of some dice, decisions will be made that may significantly affect this character's course and role in the RP. This character will not die or end up as a distorted alien, but he or she will endure quite a few hardships based on a single ‘fortuitous’ event. The possible event is one of several that are preconceived, but which occurs is based on the following:
- In chat, roll one 100-sided dice per character (while I am present and paying attention).
This will determine if your character is selected and therefore affected by these events. Only those who roll a certain number will be chosen to participate this month. A new opportunity will be given at the beginning of each month leading to PMs.
If you're unable to find a good time when I am in chat, please chat quote your roll and include it in your post.
- If selected, roll three 6-sided dice.
This will determine the character's PM course based on the possible preconceived outcomes.
- Write one chapter or collab regarding the events that were decided by the dice and GM.
This piece will be worth PM bonus.
- Any further writing regarding this character's experiences and related events will be optional and should be reviewed with the GM until the start of PMs. It is possible to receive PM bonus for additional writing.
Suggestions for Selecting a Character:
- NPCs. NPCs. NPCs.
You are welcome to select a PC, but just as you don't want me involved in every decision regarding your main character, I don't particularly want to babysit everything you do with your main character. Plus, when the actual PMs begin, all PCs will be subject to a similar game, so everyone gets a chance to be tormented by a GM.
- Choose a character that will affect other characters.
Ideally, someone with relationships that hold a great deal of merit to other PCs. Random Joe Schmoe is not cool and does not make good stories. For example, I will personally be including Apphia and Evie in this lottery. They obviously won't affect my writing as much as Lilith would, and I'm okay with subjecting them to a couple painful problems that will be decided based on dice-rolling. Furthermore, they are known enough by the community that somebody somewhere will be able to acknowledge and feel for their hardships.
- Create a new character
If you don't have a character that you feel is appropriate for this game, create one. We'll be playing each month leading up to formal PMs, so I encourage you to write a collab or two with a new character, develop them and their relationships so that they might be a good candidate to play.
- There is no maximum or minimum strength level.
I am far more interested in story potential. I would like to see a variety of character types: shinigami, AH, quincy, vizard. I would also like a variety of perspectives: good, bad, and neutral. They can have as high a standing as a C46 member or still be relatively unknown like a tea shop owner in Seireitei. The point is, choose a character that other PCs care about.
