OOC Notes:

NPCs are allowed

Okay, so here's the deal. A man by the name of Mister E. Mann has set up a field in the First District (under Niklas' name, of course). Anyone who has any amount of Kidou can participate in this event, but there are rules on how this will work. Flyers can be found all over Seireitei, saying:

Come one, come all
To Mister E. Mann’s Wonder Cage!

Located in a SECRET field in the First District, surrounded by the fields of grass, is the criminal known as none other than Niklas Kierkegaard! Test your might, test your courage, but most importantly—TEST YOUR KIDOU!

Shinigami of all ages and sizes are welcome, as this criminal will be subject to your deepest sadistic desires! Need target practice? Never fear—Niklas is near! Want to try out a new Kidou combination? Niklas is your man! Want to try out working with a new teammate? Well then, we have the event for YOU!

There are no fees involved, so you get to torture this MURDERER for FREE!

First, anyone who wants to do this must make sure they have the time to finish their turns very quickly, as I want to make sure anyone who wants to participate is able to. If you decide you want to do this, IM me (lernhao2spel) and we'll get started as soon as possible.

All matches will finish within three turns. If you cannot incapacitate Niklas within said three turns, he will be set loose and you will be at the mercy of his Zanjutsu (he will be given a blunt katana).

Second, if you arrive and someone else is already fighting me, you'll be in "line". If you are in line, please don't just talk to anyone else that is there, as that will interrupt the fight and make this take longer than I want it to. You can write spectating turns, but keep those to a minimum as well...

Third, if you are scared of getting pummeled by Niklas after three turns, never fear. As the fights wear on, Niklas will become fatigued and get weaker as more and more fights pile on.

Niklas' condition will start off as 'GREAT' for one fight, so his stats will all be increased by 10%. After the first fight, his stats will return to normal as his condition will be changed back to 'GOOD'.

From then on, there will be a simple condition system. After the second fight, Niklas' stats will be reduced by 5% of whatever is remaining for every fight thereafter (10% if he is incapacitated). Once his conditional alteration of Reiatsu reaches 75% of his maximum, his condition will be 'FATIGUED'. From here, after every fight, his stats will be reduced by 10% of whatever is remaining (15% if incapacitated).

That being said, lower level people will be able to fight (and eventually beat) Niklas up with their low-level Kidou. So if you're low-level, you might want to let some higher-ups attack him first to reduce his stats.

I'll keep a tab on Niklas' stats in this first post, so if you're ever wondering if you match up well against him, look here.

Note to Hiren:

Hiren, Akira got a special letter from Mister E. Mann, saying:

Dear Dr. Shimizu,

Perhaps you should head over to the West Gate...

Two guards appeared before Niklas’ cell, one with a key in hand. What’s this? Niklas mused. The guards didn’t often just come and unlock his cell randomly. So of course, this time would not be so random either, it seemed. “Let’s get going,” one of the guards said.

“Going where? I’m not assigned on any missions, retard,” Niklas replied with a seething tone in his voice. He hated not being prepped and briefed when he was being let out of his cell. It was one thing if he was just going on a Hollow-slaying mission, but an entirely different case if it was for something else. And Niklas had a strange feeling this was one of those… something elses.

The guard without the keys smiled as he pulled out a sheet of paper. “Oh, so you haven’t seen this?” he asked. Of course Niklas had not seen it, for he had been in prison for who knew how long. The guard meant it rhetorically anyways. Niklas snatched the paper from the guard’s hands and looked it over, shocked at the contents of what the paper showed:

Come one, come all
To Mister E. Mann’s Wonder Cage!

Located in a SECRET field in the First District, surrounded by the fields of grass, is the criminal known as none other than Niklas Kierkegaard! Test your might, test your courage, but most importantly—TEST YOUR KIDOU!

“WHAT?!” Niklas yelled at the guards. “Who the FUCK is this Mister E. Mann and how the FUCK does he think that this is allowed?!” Niklas was absolutely livid but the guards came in and shackled him up anyways. With him kicking and screaming, the guards dragged him off to the West Gate, where he would have to listen to the whims of all who came calling. “LET… ME… GO!”

[368]

“This is just too perfect.” Hisao smirked. In his right hand a copy of the flyer had been torn down from where it had been hung in the tenth division’s barracks as the old man made his way to the Rukon. More than anything the relic wanted to be the first to show the arrogant prisoner who’s name he recognized just what he wanted to do to him during the training they had had.

The old man continued his rather uplifted spirit as he walked into the first district happy as could be, humming a brief little tune to himself in expectation of what was about to transpire. As he entered the secret grass filled meadow the ancient one let out a content sigh as he looked at the criminal. “Well look at what we have here huh Niklas. If you don’t mind no one else seems to have arrived yet so looks like I’ll get the first whack.”

[159]

“Oh me, oh my,” a tall figure wrapped completely in bandages said as the old man waltzed up. “You, old-timer, seem to be quite the powerful one!” he said while he danced around stupidly. “I am Mister E. Mann, curator of this wondrous event and am pleased to welcome you as our first guest! BRING OUT THE PRISONER!” he yelled, as two guards brought Niklas out of his cage.

“This is crazy, you motherfucker!” Niklas could be heard yelling. While he was screaming obscenities at E. Mann, he suddenly caught sight of Hisao Adachi. “YOU AGAIN!” he yelled some more. “I’m going to kill you, you old piece of shit!”

“If you don’t mind, since I can gather you are quite strong… I’m going to set this man loose on you right away,” E. Mann said to Hisao. Without much of a warning, the two guards let go of the prisoner, though they didn’t give him a sword. Regardless, Niklas rushed crazily at the old man he had come to despise so much.

What? thought Akira, as he read the note again for a second time.

Dear Dr. Shimizu,

Perhaps you should head over to the west gate...

Who sent this… thought the teen, as he walked through the underground maze that was the sewer system. Though it wasn’t an actual mission, Akira’s curiosity compelled him to investigate what was happening. What do they want me to do?

Akira stopped in front of the exit directly in front of the West Gate. Well, I guess I’ll find out soon enough. He exited through the manhole and stood in front of the West Gate. The teen walked through the exit and was shocked by what he saw.

The normally empty field of the First District had suddenly been transformed into a festival ground of sorts. Akira quickly ran up to the front of the area. He picked up a flyer that hung in the front of the area and dropped it suddenly, as he read the contents.

Wonderful… this’ll make it the THIRD time I’ve healed him in the past month, thought the teen, as he calmly walked into the field.

“Akira Shimizu, Eleventh Seat, reporting in to make sure that Niklas doesn’t die,” sarcastically spoke the teen, as he arrived.

Still ninth seat for this collab due to timeline reasons.

Apparently, there was some sort of kidou tournament against a prisoner being hosted near the western gate of Seireitei. Having just gotten the basics down of the bakudou that Hisao had taught him, Shunsen knew that this would be the perfect opportunity to try it out, and he wasn't planning on letting it go to waste.

As he approached the rendezvous point, he thought about who this Niklas Kierkegaard was. After entering the clearing, he noticed that everyone who was present was a shinigami even Niklas whom he thought was just a Rukongai prisoner.

He was familiar with the first two contestants that had arrived which was a relief.

"Hey Akira, I didn't think I'd find you here. Are you here for the contest too?"

The other was the kidou instructor himself, Hisao Adachi, who had his hands full at the moment. At the opposite end, there was a man with a purple mohawk. Shunsen felt a huge amount of reiatsu coming from him. This was probably the individual that Mister E. Mann had mentioned in the flyer.

"He's going to be tough. Have you met this guy before?" the teenager added, after reassuring himself that everything would be fine. If this guy was a murderer just like the paper stated, then who was to say that he wouldn't try the same thing here once he was let loose?

[229]

Without so much as a nod as the mystery man Hisao brought up his cane holding it like a matador would goad a bull into charging. Just as the man was about to gore the geezer Hisao brought his foot down. “Ice Prison.” He said, the smile evaporating into a stern stone-like visage. As the ice stopped the man from charging again the old man let just the tip of his mouth curl into a smirk for the briefest of seconds as he shouted his second spell. “Big Bang!” The tiny fireball danced in the relic’s wrinkled hand for a moment as he showed off by sending it in loops around his palm before launching the explosive towards where the trapped criminal was trying to free himself from the cold grip of the bakudou.

Why are you playing around with him? Gaku roared as he watched the old man ignore his higher leveled and much more destructive spells in favor of these weaker ones. If anything goes wrong you’ll only have yourself to blame. Finish him quickly and lets be done with this whole thing rather than pick him apart. The medic will have enough to deal with without you nicking off tiny wounds.

Hush. Hisao said addressing his zanpakutou angrily. I want to enjoy this little adventure just getting rid of him all at once wouldn’t be fun. Let me enjoy this opportunity while I can. It’ll be over soon I won’t be playing too much longer.

[248/407]

“Oh hello, Dr. Shimizu, I hope you arrived safely. As you can no doubt guess, I have called you here for a very specific purpose. I saw on his file that you had healed him a couple of times, and thought it would be most beneficial to your learning to watch as these Kidou masters take their turns at our friend,” he said, his smile invisible through the bandages.

When Takehiro Shunsen arrived, the giant bandaged man greeted him just as jovially as he had greeted Akira. “Oh my, who do we have here? If it isn’t Takehiro Shunsen!” he said, though it was certainly likely that Shunsen had never met the man before. “You shall have your turn soon enough, as soon as Hisao finishes, in fact!”

Of course rushing into the foray against the old man was a bad idea—Niklas should have known that from his last encounter with him. But that mattered little, as the prisoner was too infuriated to be thinking clearly. This was bad news too, for soon Hisao stomped the ground and a geyser of ice encased Niklas’ legs. Oh… fuck… he thought in a moment of clarity before he regressed into desperation. While he was stuck and struggling, he heard Hisao call out another incantation. Big Bang… Niklas noted what he heard, though he was far from paying close attention.

His lack of attention and skills was his folly as suddenly, a little ball of fire was suddenly upon him and exploded. The force was definitely something to be reckoned with, as Niklas likened it to be similar to getting hit with one of Kai Tuo Zi’s failed experiments. The force of the blast freed him from his icy prison, but knocked him back a good ten feet. “Ugh…,” Niklas made a groggy noise as he picked himself up.

A tournament…? He thought as he read the letter. “This is fucking perfect!” Leone yelled. After reading the entire letter he ran down to where it was being held. Though on the way the young man had gotten lost a few times; when he finally arrived, the once empty field was now resembled a festival of sorts.

Glancing around, he saw some familiar face….and some not so familiar considering he hadn’t really met anyone out of his own division. “This looks like it’s going to be fun.” He smirked. Than looking at the man who was up first, Leone noticed the old antique. “Even the old man is enjoying himself.

[141]

...
I know you didn't want many turns during fights... but it would have been wierd if Akira didn't respond to Shunsen until the thing was done...

Akira stepped back a few feet in shock, as Shunsen suddenly appeared next to him. He breathed out quickly, calming himself down. "I’m not here for the tournament. I’m here to make sure that he doesn’t get his brains blasted out,” replied Akira with a tinge of annoyance in his voice.

"As for Niklas, I’ve healed him a couple times before. From the wounds I saw, he can handle a lot of injuries, but I think you’ll do fine. I mean you are a ninth seat after all,” reassured the Indian.

A moment later, Akira watched as the organizer of the event walked up to him. Right... "To benefit my learning”, why doesn’t he just say that he wants me to treat him? I better get paid for this... thought the disgruntled teen, as he looked on keeping an eye out for the injuries he would have to heal. He watched as the small, flaming ball collided with the ice casing. Great... burns combined with the massive number of cuts those pieces of ice must have done. This should be a fun day, pondered the sarcastic healer, as he continued to keep track of the number of wounds in his head.

[201/408]

Before he could respond to the healer, the host greeted him. Shunsen didn't think that he would be up so soon. Akira wasn't participating, but rather healing up anyone who needed to be attended to.

Mann was a very tall man, but a strange one at that. What was this guy playing at? Was this for his entertainment? And how did he know Shunsen's name?

His suspicions only grew by the second, but he didn't have time. The ninth seat was going to be up next, and he was confident that with a good kidou list formed in his head, he would be able to tire out Niklas if not defeat him.

[112/341]

See what mean fun right? Hisao laughed as he watched Niklas struggle to get up. Two more spells and I’ll walk out of here ok?

Two spells no more understand? Gaku replied. With a nod to someone only he could hear, the old man looked down to where the criminal had landed. The two spells his spirit had given him wouldn’t be pretty against any opponent let alone someone of Niklas’ strength.

No matter, it was time to finish this in one last display. “Guardian's Fist.” The earth began to tremble as lost dirt and huge chunks of the ground were lifted upwards above Niklas’ head forming a massive hand. Reeling his own arm backwards the massive extension followed his move before coming down in full force onto its target leaving only a cloud of dust.

“And now for the finally. Death Rose.” The massive vines came up from the earth around where Niklas should have been after the last display. The crept upward forming the giant flower shape that was the kidou’s name sake before erupting in thorns. Exhausted, the old man walked away joining the growing line of people and sitting down on the cool earth to take a much needed rest. His frustrations at the convict had been paid in full.

[213/620]

Before Niklas could even think to rush at the old man again, a gigantic… fist came out of the ground and smashed Niklas back towards the earth. And then only another few seconds passed before he heard the words “Death Rose” uttered. That does NOT sound like a good thing… Niklas thought before four giant vines came up from the earth.

Christ’s sake! he thought as they started to wrap around our hero. And then the thorns came. They pierced random areas of Niklas’ skin as he tried to struggle his way through it. It probably would have killed him had it been allowed to work its full effect on him. Luckily, it seemed that the old man had had enough of his little fun, and Niklas’ life was spared. For now…

“What a splendid show of force, Hisao!” the bandaged man said, congratulating the old man for his work before turning to Akira. “Now, if you don’t mind, just patch him up a little here and there and we’ll get started again. You’re up, Takehiro Shunsen-sama!” he said. It was strange that he was using honorifics with someone so much younger than he was, but the man was a strange one.

“And my, oh my, here we have Leone Fierezza! You’re up next, m’boy!”

[1066]

Who the hell does this guy think he is? thought the teen. He gritted his teeth to prevent him for arguing with the organizer. Well I better start stitching this guy up.

He walked over to Niklas and knelt down next to him. "What a predicament you’ve gotten yourself in,” said the Indian, as he examined the man’s wounds. Burns from Big Bang, a whole slew of cuts from the bakudou, and to top it off, massive blunt trauma from Guardian’s Fist.

He put his hand over the largest cut and chanted, "Chiyudo Number One, Mend.” His reiatsu flowed through his hands and bathed the wounds in its light. Quickly, the small cuts began to stitch themselves up again. He moved his hands over the other cuts until they were finally all healed. "There’s not much I can do about the burn, but I can take care of the bruises,” said Akira, as he started to bathe the wound Guardian’s Fist had caused with his reiatsu. The bruise slowly began to heal until the raging purple color had faded and the skin returned to its natural tone.

"Alright, I think I’m done,” Akira said the examiner, "He’s ready to get massacred again.”

[202/610]

Hisao had done more than enough to beat the blimey out of Niklas, but with a little healing from Akira, the seventh division shinigami would get some of the strength that he had lost during the previous fight. This didn't bother Shunsen at all though. It was better this way knowing that he was performing kidou fair and square.

"Please just call me Shunsen," the boy turned back and said. Formalities were really starting to get annoying, but it was probably time to get used to them.

Nodding to the retreating figure of Hisao, he entered the 'cage'. He would start off with something simple before using the bakudou that the sixth seat had taught him.

"Hadou #19, Cosmos Summit!" Thin cranks started to form near them, and soon, three large pedestals appeared. They rotated around Shunsen for a split second before blasting off towards their victim, Niklas.

[148/489]

Niklas had barely recovered from the fight with the old man before a much younger fellow with purple hair decided he would like to be part of this as well. Are you fucking kidding me? I’m going to kill this kid and then that E. Mann fucker! he thought as he made his way into the ring again. At the same time, he was learning a thing or two about Kidou—he had already seen a great variety of spells from Hisao and was confident that he could manage against most of them if cast on him again.

It was rather unfortunate, but Shunsen did not cast a spell that Hisao had cast. Instead, three large pedestals crept up from the ground around him. Fortunately, he could pretty much predict what these were going to do, just barely managing to dodge them. This kid is going to be cake! he thought a second too soon, as a tiny portion of his foot got caught between the pedestals. It didn’t hurt particularly much, as it was nothing in comparison to what he had felt before, though he was also a little bit weaker this time. “You little twat!” he yelled as he half-limped and half-ran towards the boy.

[1274]

He noticed though that the first hadou that he used didn't have a huge effect on the convict. He had plenty of time to react to the incoming Niklas although Shunsen was still not going to underestimate him. A murderer was still a murderer whether or not they were hurt.

Ignoring the verbal abuse from his opponent, the Blitzkrieger burst into a strong shunpo which whipped up a gust of wind towards Niklas's direction. As he reappeared a few yards behind his opponent, he bypassed the incantation for Genshi. For a brief moment, different parts of his body started to glow. Numerous rings shot out from the blinding light, preparing to cut Niklas up every which way. He just hoped that he made the right choice of moving closer to his opponent so there was a better chance for the hadou to work successfully.

[144/633]

In a flash, the boy disappeared and reappeared behind him. If it wasn’t for his stubbed toe feeling, he probably would have reacted to it quicker, but that was not the case. He was far too slow for a member of the Blitzkrieg strike force and was ambushed in a hurry. That combined with the Kidou Shunsen just used spelled trouble for Niklas.

Shunsen’s body glowed with rings and then the little rings of light shot up all around Niklas. They hovered around his body and sliced up his skin in every which way. If he learned anything from this at all, it was that the spell was Genshi. Whether or not he would remember such an arbitrary spell name was an entirely different matter.

Off in the sidelines, Mister E. Mann called out to Shunsen, “Come on now, lad! You’ll get one more try before we have to give this prisoner a sword! Use something spectacular on him, will you?”

[1436]

He only had one more try, and he should have thought it through much more clearly before using the hadou spells. The bakudou that Hisao had taught him would take several turns before it could be complete. He didn't care about impressing E. Mann. That wasn't the reason he came and that wasn't the type of individual he was.

"Hadou #4, Byakurai." He grinned as the white lightning spell erupted from his fingertips. It was over, and although the youth hadn't gotten a chance to show off his new kidou spell, it was certainly worth the time to come out. He was learning about the tactical advantages of using kidou along with his speed as a Blitzkrieg member.

[118/751]

Now this was a spell Niklas recognized. It was an entirely different matter for him to dodge it, however. The lightning form of Byakurai erupted form Shunsen’s finger and made a beeline towards Niklas, who was much too slow to dodge it. The lightning hit him and sent shocks throughout his body. Shunsen’s proficiency with Kidou was not as high as Hisao’s, that was for sure, but the Hadou spell burned nonetheless.

Niklas keeled over as the spell hit him, doing a substantial amount of damage—much more than he had anticipated. He didn’t even have enough energy to go after Shunsen, much less fight him. He was crippled and he wondered how much more of this ridiculous event he was going to have to stomach.

Despite Shunsen’s thoughts, Mister E. Mann was quite impressed with the showing. “You did well with such a low-level spell, Shunsen!” he said as he danced happily. When he stopped spinning and dancing, he turned to the spiky haired newcomer, “Get ready! Would you like him shackled or do you want him to roam free?”
