Canada. An unforgiving land of moose and tar-sands. A land lost to the mythical ages and forever shrouded in maple syrup. Near the east of this mammoth and foreboding land resided a misty cliffside overlooking the Atlantic, and in this foggy setting many shinigami already had squared off. Some nearly lost their lives here.

That wasn’t going to happen today.

Just what in the love of hell do you think you’re doing, Adelaide? chided the spirit in the Captain’s mind. The question was a good one. Adelaide stood with the scythe of Lashiel released and strapped to her back, holding a pillow instead. Any rational person would ask what was going on. Lashiel too.

Arms folded and a pillow tightly grasped in her hand, Adelaide looked out over the Atlantic. Her home was somewhere out there, such as it was. Perhaps it wasn’t lost to the currents of the ocean, but it certainly was lost to the currents of time. “Something he said in Arabia,” she responded aloud.

You weren’t in the Arabian, you were in the Sahara.

Ignoring the interruption, Adelaide continued, “Everyone took an interest in him except his Captain. While I’ve never been able to tell you what the hell Kago was thinking on an average day, I know even less why he wouldn’t show an interest in his recruits. I meet every one of mine personally. I understand them. I care for them.” She huffed. Maybe that was one of the un-Captain-y things she did, like not wearing her haori. She cared. Lilith had cared, though, and that was the only model Adelaide cared to follow.

There was a skepticism in Lashiel’s tone,
This isn’t even a little about his flirting with a certain subordinate of yours? Territorialism has long been one of your more admirable traits. Leave it to a fallen angel to consider that admirable.

“No,” she replied, still talking to herself. “If Kago isn’t going to be bothered initiating this boy into the Enchanted Blades, and if he insists on these... ridiculous weapons the least I can do is show him what waits for him with the harmony of weapon and magic. Poor kid’s got no one teaching him. Normally I have my hands full with the people I actually want to teach, but this ‘challenge’ system affords me a little spare time and the right situation.” A self-assured smile played on the Captain’s face, “So, let’s educate.”

You’re so... the spirit paused, then completed her thought, annoying.

Hikaru growled at the cold air around him, I don't think this was really a good idea at all. He looked the cliff area and frowned, then noticing a large pile of pillows nearby and his opponent carrying one of them he smiled. Hm, maybe the cold won't ruin this match for me. he smiled and a devilish grin stretched across his face, Miss Adelaide, I hope you like pillow filling cause you're about to get a mouth full of it.

The sword mage was still upset about the captains unexpected interruption, during his match with the neko. Wait, who was she talking to? The mage wondered silently. She seemed to be having an entire conversation with herself, Flying carpets, and now she's schizophrenic too? The spell-blade's day was getting more and more interesting, despite his still present burn wounds. Well at least she wouldn't be using that scythe of hers. he reasoned.

Then he stuck his black sword into the ground near a tree, and raised his pillow behind him, "Are you captain of the tenth? Adelaide Pierce?" The young man called, he was wearing a thick black coat, as he was not used to the cold weather.

“Yes,” she didn’t turn to face him, “You seemed to be challenging your way through the ranks of my Mystics so I elected to save you the time and just jump right to the end. Hope you don’t mind.” Her grandiose and well-planned response to his arrival was undermined somewhat by the mountain of pillows sitting beside her. Sappho, was that making any of this hard to take seriously.

She turned, trying to be as melodramatic as possible given the circumstances, and held her pillow like a shield. “I understand this is likely an intimidating notion for you, as such I insisted on no wager for this particular instance. It’ll take a lot of the pressure off and means I’m less likely to leave you an artistic pile of goo instead of a shinigami.” She snickered at her own attempt to be intimidating, also undermined by the pillow in her hands.

“It is worth noting,” still the redhead pressed on, soldiering through the insanity of the pillows, “that I began my career in the Enchanted Blades. To this day I would wager I am the Gotei’s premiere master of the Eighth’s art of Kenkyouka,” which she wasn’t able to use because pillows weren’t zanpakutous, “and as such am particularly interested in what Takimoto does with my former home.” Or what he doesn’t do, she added to herself. “So, you’re here to show me what stern stuff the Eighth is made of these days.” Or not, because she had a good idea already. She wasn’t going to turn this into an attempt to steal one of the Eighth’s members or shame Kago like Haresuno had done to her, and she wasn’t going to shamelessly beat down someone weaker than her as Tsubaki delighted in doing. Instead, Adelaide was going to be as instructive as possible.

And casually assert your dominance so he doesn’t pursue Adele? the spirit of the scythe inquired.

Adelaide’s face fell to a scowl No and shut up besides.

Adele smiled with excitement. She would finally get to see her Captain in a match in the tournament! The nekogami had (sadly) missed her Captain's other fights, but she was here for this one, even if it was just with pillows. The fact that the only weapons to be used were pillows set the feline girl's mind at ease. That and the fact that Adelaide would never beat an opponent as new and untrained as Hikaru into a pulp needlessly, nor would she accidentally kill the boy. Her superior was just that cool.

You sure have a lot of faith in Adelaide-sama, the sword spirit in her mind said, I know you look up to her, but isn't this a little much? You shouldn't idolize her no matter how "cool" she is.

I don't idolize her, Crescendo-chan, the girl replied mentally, I just look up to her because she's my Captain and friend and her reiatsu sounds really pretty-

Adele! You're getting distracted, pay attention. Didn't you want to wish them luck before they started fighting? We'll discuss this later, the tiger in her head reminded the nekogami saying the last part of her sentence rather pointedly. The child sure did get starry eyed over the Mystic Captain. She couldn't have more affection for the redhead than for her favorite tiger. She couldn't.

Aw, is Do-chan jealous? The nekogami teased her inner tiger good naturedly. Crescendo's tendency to be over protective and slightly possessive of her was cute, it reminded her of Midnight and his suspicion of every one who came near her, especially men.

The siberian tiger grumbled something unintelligible before retreating to the corner of her shinigami's mind. Refocusing on the people she'd come to see, Adele waved. "Have fun! I know you'll do well Adelaide-san! Miyazaki-san won't disappoint you." The Mystic bounced excitedly for the match to start.

Hikaru looked up at Adele from where she sat in the stands, and waved a hello grinning as he did. Then the mage turned toward the captain his face unreadable and grim, as he brushed of her proclamations. Humph, she sure is full of herself, you can't look impressive when you hold a pillow. Good try though. He chuckled bitterly to himself, We both know this has to do with Adele and you. Hikaru thought.

The spellblade angrily thought, I wish I knew how to do that weird mind-speak thing the mystics do, then I could give that old windbag a piece of my mind without upsetting Adele. he grumbled, "Hey, Pierce! Are you ready, or are you just gonna talk about how superior you are to me all day?" He asked smirking, to hide his irritation with her.

"You do realize that it dosen't matter, right? They're pillows." The boy called to the mystic.

Adele twitched. Annoyance flared throughout her reiatsu signature, a buzzing sound began to fill her ears. Remembering that the two combatants could sense her spiritual pressure and might be distracted by the feel of her irritated spiritual energy. Reigning in her buzzing reiatsu, the nekogami tried to calm herself. She would have words with Hikaru later.Being rude to her captain was not acceptable at all.

Tch. You're so defensive about her. Your captain isn't Tia, she can handle herself, Crescendo grumbled. Not everything that Fifth Division captain said is worthless. Relax.

Shooting the sword-mage a dark glare, the Mystic tightened her hands around her zanpakutou before pulling out a cloth and starting to polish the sword in her lap. The tiger in her mind and the calming feel of the spirit's reiatsu helped settle her. Adele was still going to have a word with Hikaru after this was over. "Kick his butt, Adelaide-san!" She cheered, grinning to hide her irritation. There was no doubt in her mind that if there was a way to defeat someone soundly and powerfully with pillows that the redhead could do it. Somewhere in the corner of the neko girl's mind, a siberian tiger sighed and covered her face with her paws.

[207/518]

Hikaru then checked his sword to make sure it was firmly planted in the ground, smiled then quickly rushed the adept, already murmuring the incantation to a hadou he had been waiting to try, "Break the dragon's jaw, little firestar. Hadou number 30, Big Bang."

A small glowing orb appeared in the spell blade's hand, hidden by the pillow he held in the other. Hope you like curry, captain He smiled, securing it in front of his thumb, ready to flick the little bomb at his opponent when he saw an opening.

The Mystic Captain just sighed. It took a special kind of stupid for the kid to show that kind of presumption. Maybe he just liked getting hurt? And from there was devised the single most irritating battle strategy Adelaide was able to conceive. It made her snicker to hear how quickly her Twentieth Seat’s assessment of the boy changed from ‘he won’t disappoint’ to ‘kick his ass’, but considering he did disappoint, massively, so soon after he was vouched for she understood the change of heart.

She wanted to offer a witty retort, but there really wasn’t anything she could say to make his comment sound more like a joke than it already did. Man, wouldn’t it have messed with him if your released form was a pillow, the redhead gave a small snicker.

Do not ever, ever suggest such a thing again, child.

“I was trying to explain that I have the rare opportunity to find the time to teach an irreverent whelp, but since you seem to think you know everything worth knowing where pillows are concerned, why not actually do something with that spell? Or were you just looking for a volatile nightlight?” She shook her head and did nothing more. She didn’t cast, she didn’t throw a pillow, she didn’t even move. She just waited for her opponent, to see if he was even capable of using Big Bang properly let alone efficiently.

The young man noticed she was still mouthing something to herself, and that she hadn't moved yet or even continued with her speech. Hikaru stopped mid-stride, and hid the glowing ball in his palm, and waved his arms around trying to garner a response from the captain's unmoving form. "Hello? Anybody in there?" The spellblade called.

Is she waiting for something? he wondered, Why's she just sitting there? The young man didn't have the answers to either of these questions, and wasn't dumb enough to run completely blind, into what most likely was a trap. So instead of charging the female, the mage decided to sit on his haunches and wait for her to move. Well I suppose we're playing the waiting game. I've got all day, Pierce.

The warrior yawned and stared at his opponent, "What are you doing?"

????
How does Adelaide know what I'm doing if she can't hear the spell or see the ball? Hikaru's words would be lost because of his motion forward, so she shouldn't hear anything. Or is there some other hidden ability she has I don't know about?

“I’m waiting for you, obviously.” She almost hoped his vain attempt to cast an explosive at her backfired, but she wasn’t nearly so cruel. “You cast a spell, likely a hadou. Combine the lack of direct assault, the lack of visual evidence of the spell and the lack of tangible change to the world with the exceedingly short incantation and you have a limited number of options. I can rule out a lot of low-ranked kidou. Demon Fist is unlikely given the swordsmenship of the Eighth, above rank thirty is unlikely given your development, but not impossible. The most likely thing you’d cast to get the most out of a surprise attack is Big Bang, but you wouldn’t do that, would you? I mean, I’m standing here not even trying to defend myself, unless you’re doubling down on the notion that I am somehow less versed in kidou than you, you really wouldn’t try that, right? So I presume Yakekoge, but I’m wrong, aren’t I? Not enough of a punch, so to speak?”

With a ‘tch’ she shook her head, “Something you ought to know about me is anything that goes boom I’ve used more times than I can count. Something small, handheld, and something that can be held on to. That’s a little list, kid, especially when, as you point out, pillows prevent Kenkyouka.” She shook her head, still looking totally unprepared for combat. “Go ahead. For lesson one about combat with a superior opponent, use whatever you cast. I think we both know what it is, and even if I’m wrong and it is Demon Fist, I think you know that I wouldn’t just be standing here if I couldn’t easily stop you from doing whatever you plan to do.” She looked almost bored. “So, are you going to fight me or are we done before we started? ‘Cause I clearly have a lot to teach if you’d care to learn.”

It should also be noted that not only does Adelaide have a knowledge of Hadou that borders on savant-like from years of study (25500 Kidou stat) but the old 'try to mutter an incantation while moving' bit isn't a new one and she's seen it dozens of times. She's not going to be surprised by it or not expect it. From there, it's process of elimination; you used what it made most sense to use given the various things that didn't happen, and if she's wrong she's prepared contingencies for other ideas. Easy peasy. She's still not making any offensive actions, though. Just standing there and waiting.

Humph, well maybe she isn't as bad as I thought she was. I suppose I can learn a bit from her, she is a captain after all, romantic rivals or not. The warrior mage shrugged, "Okay, sure. Maybe you're not as bad as I thought." he replied, "let the lesson begin, sensei."

Hikaru continued his charge, this time making no attempt to hide his hadou, then he planted his foot, and pivoted bringing his pillow with him as he spun. I know I won't hit her with the pillow, but the hadou will catch both of us at this close range, and I don't miss. "What would you have me learn, Pierce-san?" The battlemage asked, curiously.

got'cha
I suppose that makes sense.

He rushed in and she simply wasn’t there anymore. Her speed was more graceful and agile than he was trained at all, more than likely, and while sluggish compared to her fellow Gotei Captains she was more than too much for him. To the spellsword’s eyes, Adelaide simply disappeared and appeared again several yards away. In her place, a pillow hovered, waiting to absorb the impact intended for Adelaide.

“Lesson one about fighting a superior opponent,” she said from her new position, behind Hikaru and to his left, “is don’t fight fair. In a fair fight, I win every time. You certainly shouldn’t charge headlong at a stronger opponent with their own field of expertise as your weapon. Don’t try to outrun Amaterasu Nana, be better with a sword than Reijuu Kyuketsu or punch Lucia Frey, and don’t think there’s a spell you can charge me with that I haven’t seen before or can’t deduce. Trying to exploit our weaknesses is good, but turning our strengths against us is better.” She hadn’t ever really attempted to teach the lessons she was teaching now, she wasn’t sure she even had a firm enough grasp of the ideas involved in fighting a superior opponent anymore to be as effective as she wanted to be.

Early on, every fight she thought laterally, every fight was an insurgency. She always wanted to find a weakness and exploit it, understand strengths and undermine them. Rushing in as if nothing was off-balance was a surefire way to a very short and disappointing engagement. This was a mistake she saw him making really rather badly. Mistakes she thought she remembered how to fix.

Shunpo [Flash Step]A commonly taught skill for the Shinigami. Though it may be learned at an early level, mastering the technique is another story entirely. The initial level of shunpo is a burst of speed in a single, straight direction. As the user's skill in Hohou grows, they may learn more advanced techniques and maneuvers.
A basic flash-step costs 200 reiatsu, and can cover up to 15m. The user bursts in one direction at near-blinding speed, but is unable to attack or turn. The speed of the step is determined by the user's Hohou, and only those with at least 50% of the user's Hohou can visually keep up with the movement. If the user's hohou is comparable to an enemy's attacking stat, then they stand a good chance of being able to dodge with a shunpo.
Flash-steps are only usable once per turn, with an additional use per turn gained for every 5,000 Hohou.

Soshi [Elements]
Soshi refers to the purest elements of the spiritual realm that culminate into telekinesis -- the most basic, fundamental ability required of a shinigami to become a Mystic. A shinigami's journey in the Tenth begins with a keen awareness of the universe and an exceptional talent in reiatsu manipulation. The Mystic must be able to harness their spiritual energy and apply it in anomalous ways to the physical world.
With Soshi, the Mystic learns to move objects with their mind. Its range of effect is within a 15-meter radius. Soshi is capable of lifting large, bulky objects like wardrobes or benches with ease; at 5,000 reiatsu, this extends to being capable of lifting and throwing objects up to a mid-sized car. It costs the Mystic 200 reiatsu to perform this ability per turn. The reiatsu of others acts as a repellent to this ability, therefore, at no point can Soshi be used to levitate other spiritual creatures or people.

"Okay, that makes sense." Hikaru reasoned, as his pillow collided with her own. Is she really trying to teach me or just mess with me till I tire out? the mage thought suspiciously, suppose I'll find out soon enough.

The mage's other foot hit the ground and he spun again this time, with a kick to the adept's abdomen, hoping to knock the air out of her. "So then, what would be the best form of attack I can take here?" The warrior asked, raising an eyebrow, as he spun towards her. The attack was tight, and poised, the battlemage was planning on spinning all day if he had to. The only thing he regretted was not knowing how to preform shunpo, as having people disappear in front of him was becoming tiresome.

Maybe she'll teach me that as well, or at least how to combat it, the mage wondered silently, he was still very aware however of the small bomb within his hand, and was waiting to fire it at the opportune moment.

His keeping the energy of Big Bang focused and contained this long wasn’t a tiny feat, it proved that despite all the things the Captain saw as horrible tactical flaws and a personality she wasn’t fond of, he actually did have some potential. She just needed to set him on the right path, correct some of his mistakes and teach a few important lessons. “Tangent.” Of course, there was no way he was going to be able to keep that bomb from bursting now.

His sweeping leg careened into a curtain of kinetic energy that rippled and snapped back toward him, sending him flying backward. “Lesson two,” the Captain spoke calmly, instructively, “learn to employ lateral thinking. Lesson one stated that in a fair fight I win, so you need to come up with a way to make the fight fundamentally unfair. My personal favorite method is this.” She snapped her fingers and the power of Lashiel embraced her victim – her student, her student – the power embraced his mind.

She smiled wryly, “You need to confound expectations, Hikaru. As long as you come at me directly my strength is an advantage I doubt you have the training or ability to mitigate yet. You can’t do things like I just did to you. Oh, and as an aside, remember when you called Adele a temptress?” Her smile was beyond charming, warm and perfectly practiced, “Now you know what that word really means, don’t you, Hikaru?” Sometimes the Briton was just mean.

Tangent
Bakudou #32, 320 KidouOne of the fastest working barrier spells around, it is a speedy and relatively easy going counter. Chanting the short incantation, an instantaneous burst of energy flares in front of the user, lasting only for a split second. It is capable of blocking strikes at the user's own strength or lower. If any physical contact with the Tangent barrier is made, the opponent will be knocked off his/her feet, sent flying backwards roughly 8m, though not hurt. All the combined effects of this spell happen in less than a second from the completion of the incantation, making it light but hard to evade.

I sincerely doubt he'll be able to keep Big Bang from exploding after crashing into Tangent. Also, she's hitting him with this ability, which to understand how powerful it should be when it effects him, bear in mind that the cost of the ability is about twice your total strength.

Fallen Allure
Lashiel can inflict a group of enemies with what any good seducer would: lust. At the initial cost of 10% Adelaide’s Reiatsu she can inflict any single target within five meters with a powerful... we’ll call it infatuation. The effect varies in strength based on the relative power of her adversary. Adelaide can, if she so chooses, extend this effect for up to five turns. At any time, a person may pay Reiatsu equal to Adelaide’s investment to rid themselves of this affliction.

The power of the captain's kidou knocked the bomb from his hand, and into the adept's chest, right after he had crashed into the ground. The resulting explosion sent both of the combatants flying, the captain onto the ground, and Hikaru into a wall which dazed the young man a bit, but more importantly as he slowly rose to his feet, Hikaru felt an almost irresistible desire to... Do certain inappropriate things, with the Arcane captain.

The battle mage made a dazed attempt to hide his erection, by falling to the ground, What the hell is this? Hikaru thought, frantically trying to complete a conscious thought, in spite of the ridiculous amount of sexual fantasies, parading about his mind, Grr, that crazy bitch fucking with my head now, wonderful. the warrior thought sourly.

The mage vaguely recalled the words the captain had spoken, only moments ago and replied, "I'm very well aware of those word's meaning, captain" he growled, "Stop screwing with my hormones, and fight me you pervert!" The poor warrior shouted, he had managed, to get his erection under control, and rise to his feet though blushing profusely. "This isn't funny!"

What sort of kidou, does this?!? the mage thought angrily, with a great amount of concentration.

Unlike the rather devastating effect the two kidou had on her opponent, Adelaide seemed more or less okay, singed but not even on the ground. Heat made it through Tangent fine, but the shockwave had to contend with the kinetic barrier which massively reduced its effectiveness. The burns weren’t exactly superficial, but they weren’t bad either and were nothing compared to some of her other fights lately. Hell, she did worse to herself often enough.

“I’m not here to fight, I’m here to teach. If I were here to fight, I’d have a much more direct method of turning up the heat. Illusions, emotions, perception and deception are all the weapons of war, kiddo. If you can’t handle that reality, you’re in the wrong business.” She cleared her throat and more to make his troubles with Allure worse than to dispatch a burning garment, she took the outer layer of her shihakushou off and tossed it aside, leaving her in the thinner white robe underneath and the black pants of the shinigami uniform. “Now, come at me and we’ll see what lesson three will be about.”

Hikaru groaned, and rose shakily to his feet. Careful to hide his erection under his coat, the mage walked forward in the frigid air. I take it back, she is a jackass. the battle mage thought angrily, still frustrated with the uncontrollable fantasies dancing in his head.

The spellblade stood upright and walked cautiously, and slowly to his... teacher of sorts, and picked up a stray pillow, grumbling angrily as he went, "So what's lesson three? Avoiding a captain's subordinates?" the mage asked sarcastically, Whats next on the list, prison keeper? Hikaru shook his head, I knew this was a bad idea, why didn't I listen to my better half? the sword mage asked himself silently. Each step the mage took was a powerful strain on his will to refrain from tackling the adept, in a wild glomp and making a ridiculous fool of himself.

“It’s all about you, m’dear,” the redhead shook her head rather suddenly, causing her ponytail to fall from its loose haphazard state down around her in an alluring fashion, “the lessons are crafted to you, and you alone. Who you are, what you choose, the actions you take are what are inspiring everything I’ve done so far, and the lessons left to teach. I’m seeing your mistakes and correcting them now, because if you make them later, your poor Captain will be down one new recruit. I can’t let that happen, right?” She wasn’t exactly being inaccurate, but she was clearly playing up how centered on him the universe was to heighten her shikai’s effect on him. She wove the web so gracefully that it didn’t matter that he was an easy mark, she still took some pride in it.

And with a sweetened smile she beckoned, “So show me your form, and I’ll show you how to make it better. If you listen to me today, you’ll never make those tactical errors again.” It was a pretty great deal, actually. Teach someone how to fight with a bit more common sense and help really establish herself as a Captain and a mentor. She was going to make an impression, in her compassion and her expertise, and it was a situation that otherwise she wasn’t going to have a chance to make happen.

Good deal indeed.

No ulterior motives at all.

“So,” the words were more a longing, a beckoning, and less of a challenge, “show me what you’ve learned so far.”

"Thats kind of hard," the mage spoke slowly, "I haven't learned much, except that you cheat." Hikaru straightened and glared at her, trying to force his emotions under control, though he wasn't making much headway. The warrior was still plenty mad he'd been forced into submission so easily, yet his cheeks were still flaring with... the other emotion he was fighting.

"I thought the arrangement was that we use, pillows for weapons. Not our zanpakutous," the mage looked hover the spell weaver's shoulder and said, "however I can still see yours strapped to your back, while in it's released form of all things."

Hikaru frowned, "Maybe I've learned a lack of integrity, is the way to become victorious in battle... Was that your lesson Adelaide-san?" If I can't fight you fair and square, then I can fight dirty too. the spellblade thought, then battering away another fantasy, he forced a smirk, "But if that wasn't your goal then tell me... What is it you would have me do?"

whats with the shikai?
nice shikai, but I'm not sure much has been taught, or learned by the swordmage as of result.

He was waiting out the effect of Allure. It wasn’t a bad plan, just a disappointing one. “The condition was our weapon was to be pillows. I have not drawn my blade nor used it as a weapon. Condition satisfied. There was never a prohibition on possessing my weapon, nor on releasing it. You used kidou, after all.” She laughed in a warm and inviting way, something so heartwarming and friendly it was hard to imagine she was even capable of visiting violence upon the spellblade. “I admire your attempt to convince me that I should voluntarily limit myself, though. Unlikely to be successful, sure, but it would certainly qualify as lateral thinking.”

Sadly, he had just gained the opposite of an advantage, “You want me to fight with pillows, you goad me into trying to attack you... tch.” Let’s see if he can deal with even the least hostility, the redhead wondered with mild amusement. He was such a mess tactically speaking and was barely paying attention to the lesson. She took a little credit for that, but he wasn’t all that interested in learning from the outset.

Either way, the entire pile of pillows Adelaide had been granted at the start of the match flew up from its position on the foggy ground. “Mage Eye, Blue.” She wanted to make sure she could track him if he decided to try and avoid the pillows, or availed himself of the fog in any other way. Then, like soft cuddly missiles, the entire mountain of pillows flew at him, guided by the Captain’s mind.

“You wanted a pillow fight?”

Mage Eye
Bakudou #5, 35 Kidou
Upon casting, the user selects a spectrum, either Red, Blue or Green. The user's eyes start turn the selected color, distorting their vision.
With red eyes, the eyes are tuned to track heat signatures, viewing things in the infrared spectrum.
With green eyes, the eyes are tuned to see in relative darkness, acting like night vision goggles. Ambient light is greatly magnified, allowing the user to see in great darkness.
With blue eyes, the eyes are attuned to a spectrum of reiatsu, similar to heat vision. Objects which have no reiatsu or have cloaked reiatsu will appear as black, while sources of reiatsu glow blue.
The spell lasts until the user cancels it.
