A man of intimidating stature, Dominic Martinov appears well suited for mob life. A professional hitman for the Martinov family, his muscular frame is the byproduct of years in the profession. His skin is naturally tan, tending towards a more olive shade. His dark-brown hair is styled in a severe undercut, permanently slicked back when he appears in public. However, his arguably most distinct feature is the ornate, v-shaped tattoo on his neck. Serving as both an intimidation factor, as well as a calling card in a sense, it only serves to emphasize his aggressive appearance.
As a believer of the classic values of the Martinov family, he often wears well coordinated, if not suave, outfits consisting of mainly neutral color tones. When not attending to matters of his job, he can often be seen in a black leather jacket with various styles of shirt below it. His pants are often dark blue jeans or chinos.
A prideful man, Dominic often states that he was brought up with he believes are the true values of the Martinov family. The iron fist rule of the original bosses have all been forgotten in the more lax attitudes of the current bosses, a fact he finds revolting. This is reflected in his stern attitude, believing that while a harsh attitude may not win a personality contest, it will however ensure the job is completed.
To those he has deemed as unsuitable or worse, traitors, to the family, he is ruthless and aggressive. He has been known to toy with these individuals on his jobs before eliminating them in a shockingly violent manner.
The first born to the old Primera Boss of the Martinov family, Dominic was destined from birth to eventually succeed his father as boss. However, after arguably suspicious changes in the direction of the family, a more lax attitude to their enterprise was adopted. Dominic viewed this a personal rejection to the old ways and quickly grew disgusted with the new leadership.
As a byproduct of this change in direction, Dominic was passed over as successor, instead his younger brother was chosen as the next in line as he better exemplified the so called modern view of the mob. While offered titles and high-ranking status in the family, Dominic viewed these as simply consulation prizes and rejected them outright. Instead, he took a role as a high-profile hitman, a profession usually reserved for new family members.
His violent approach to hits soon became infamous in the family. While many members, particularly those who held onto the old ways, viewed it as a way to reclaim their lost glory, those who believed in the new direction the family was taking viewed it as a dangerous subversion that threatened to topple the current status quo. Behind the outward facade of stability, the family began an escalating proxy war within itself.
